There is NO WAY any school board, or any superintendent (you do know what those are right show?) would have allowed a graduation like this. Outsiders coming in who aren't well known? That happens, but it's not like in the World of Modern Family that there are other successful people out there who would do a speech. Even a respected board member. The show has pretty much outside of being a football coach shown that Cam is a HORRIBLE administrator because he makes it all about himself. Are their admin like that? Oh yes, but there is no way on top of Alex graduating would the entire family need to be at their own high school. As for Dylan, no way would Uber have allowed that kind of a car to be used. Has to be made in the last 5 years and be very reliable and insurance back drops, ect. These writers, want another season to "wrap up" the show but this episode showed they SHOULDN'T get another year.

Yeah, Ana-Kat for the win, but not only have they put Katie in her behavior of "I need to prove everyone wrong" to the negative side. They have really put the principal into a: "Who do you have pictures on or who are you friends with to be not only the principal, but to have kept his job." It's true, there are people in administration that are so micromanagement or along the lines of: "Just because you finished a degree DOES NOT MEAN you are a LEADER." However, in episodes like this it goes to far. If they revealed that his uncle or relative is on the town school board, then ok. However, he has constantly been shown to just do some very stupid things that not only put kids in danger, but would get parents railing to: "Get this moron out of the school!"

Spoilers and Spoiler Speculation: Benchmarking
readster replied to stopthestatic's topic in Grey's Anatomy
That would be such a repeat not only for Alex, but also for what happened between Owen and Amelia or even when Meredith picked up and left everyone behind for almost a year. ENOUGH ALREADY! Just have Jo and Alex talk! -
Yeah, two bad it was: "Well, he is on medicine now and his friends got him a good lawyer to get out and we have a 3 year old to deal with, so we're good, now I'm off to be on Gilmore Girls." I didn't like that aftermath two years later, because basically he got off without any problems. Kind of reminded me years later with the father who didn't want his daughter at the hospital because a doctor killed his father. Even going as far as saying it was death there, even though NONE of those doctors were around anymore or putting down: "Don't take my daughter to this hospital." Follow through and aftermath were either hit or miss on ER.

You do have to wonder, because of everything they pointed out. It is true that sometimes episodes are filmed out of order due to schedules of the actors or the directors. It's like Oliver reviewing Spencer's tapes the previous episode. Felt that should have happened a few episodes before, but of course constant: "Oliver has to point out his family sucks when it doesn't." It's like with Oliver realizing he is his grandma and if he doesn't get a reality check he is going to end up liker her in his 60s still trying for the "big score" when everything he does gets him not only into trouble, but proves it doesn't work. Same with Greg's assistant, the writer/producers love the actor more than the audience does and has one note: "annoying and would be on the streets in the real world."

Shows are really bad at this, it's been going on for years. They either have that constant friend that is basically a re occurring character or they have "idiots" who just never leave them alone. Honestly, I think the last show that did friends right was Cheers. You had random people at the bar, but... they were the SAME actor and interacted with everyone and at times hung out with specific characters at the bar or outside the bar. It actually felt like real people. These days, they either have people annoying a person or its that of friends you question why they people hang out with them.

That I can chalk up to Emily. Even with the horses at the Dragon Fly later on, she was kind of: "Uh... horses!"

I second that and her husband had a few too since he WROTE and directed the Summer episode.
-
Same goes for how people are treated at Bow's hospital where they SHOULD know better. Hospitals and doctors and sued all the time and for much less than how they treat Bow. It's just absurd now.

They basically dropped Charlie's kid.

Right, that did make sense. Of course, Rory "forgetting" to break up with her boyfriend, going back to Logan and then to the point she gets knocked up by him or the fact that Logan wasn't going to leave his fiance for her. Rang more of season 5-6 Rory and not someone who spent a decade trying to be a true reporter. Even the L & D Brigade about how they had knee and hip replacements at their age from all the stupid crap they did then trying to still do it. Well, sorry folks, you might not be "old" but your bodies don't work the same at 30 than at 21 when you do stupid things like jump off bridges and do stuff that almost kills you. Duh!
-
Yes, the Stars Hallow Music broke it and then they put the rest in the Life and Death Brigade. They even talked about it after it was on Netflix for a month. Even saying they should have re thought about what they spent the budget on. Idiots!

Right it was like ASP was: "I didn't write the last season, so screw it, all out the window, I don't need someone's else plans, these are my characters and I convinced Netflix to bring us back, so I'm doing it the way I WANTED to write these characters again." Plus, I love how they said that the Summer Episode ate up all their budget because of doing that very stupid musical the NEVER WANTED TO END! With more of ASP "favorite actors". Right and if they went there it would have been fine. Instead they an episode end where Jackson was trying to avoid doing a town meeting (because why wouldn't the mayor call it?). To the next episode Taylor is back to the job and they admitted there was a cut scene in the previous episode where Jackson goes; "I can't do this, have fun with it." Instead of character growth a true shake up of the status quo. ASP and her husband were all: "Ah... status quo and lazy writing."

Oh that moment when Kirk did that, that was when his character officially jump the shark. That was so horrible and made no sense and Lulu just let him do it? It as bad as the fact the show was gone for almost a decade and then Kirk is still doing odd jobs and Lulu NOW wants kids with Kirk when he's in his 50s and she is in her mid 40s? Right!
-
That's the thing, we were "suppose" to see they were good people at heart who just made bad decisions. Instead, they came off as terrible people who continued to make very very stupid decisions and everyone let them get away with it. Same with Taylor or Kurt, the two did some very, very stupid things, yet everyone just hand waved it as: "oh those two, when will they learn?" Apparently when they are dead.

Probably why a guy as delusional was telling her to get up and take the baby and leave. What the hell was he on to even think that? Plus, not only was she slicked open, but she was badly and I do mean badly bleeding and apparently has other problems. she is luck she ever knew what time it was.

ASP and her husband had this weird view on how an absent parent or someone who believes what an "absent parent" is. Christopher was a major asshole who ASP was in love with the actor on her shows. No matter what he did, he had everyone cater to him "not being an asshole" and we were to believe this too, but that was not what happened. Then you add in Anna's reasons and everything it just... boggles the mind how ASP thought this was a way to behave. Of course, yet another actor that ASP loved and would put in her shows for whatever reasons. I've nitpicked Anna and April to death the last few years, I could stay here all night.

Funny thing is now, if Tristan tried doing what he did now in 2019, he be in the office for "violating personal space". You get students that call out teachers for high fiving them these days.
-
I agreed with Katie, just fire him and be over with it. The only reason why he ended up Greg's assistant was because the other professors have been passing him off to the next person. Someone have the balls and go: "Yeah, you are a moron and how did you even get into graduate school? Get out!"
-
The problem is they also then just treat them as morons. From not knowing who Prince is to Wanda Sykes character asking "white women" if Dre is sleeping with them. Or people acting like Bow got her medical license and practicing for over 20 years from a mail in rebate. It's just gotten old and Dre and Bow have then just gone: "Well, that's the type of people I work with." Yeah, even with people trying to "pay the bills" at one point you go: "Yeah, screw this, I'll go where I'm treated better." Same goes with Dre and Bow's up and down money issues. Now, Dre's sister calls him out how he has money lying around. Yet, four episodes ago, they were talking about they are wasting money on things and missing a bill or two. Or they cut Zoey off, but then won't do it to Junior even though he is being as bad as Zoey.
-
I don't know why they think it's funny the way they have let both Dre and Bow's work places go. I mean it stopped being funny years ago. They have turned into stupid, hate filled people that would have been sued by now. Junior's gap year has been just painful and full of bad writing. I know many say: "But lots of kids do this." Yeah, but at one point the parents just lose it and every time Junior gets it thrown in his face that he has been completely stupid about his gap year. From his parents to his former classmates to yes, even his now ex-girlfriend. Yet Junior is: "No, I'm fine like this, I still live at home, I have a full time job and I will NEVER have to worry about college." It's just bad.
-
I think it was even more funny that Katie acts like Taylor at times and she got to view this. Same goes with Oliver realizing he is like his grandma. Going for the "Get rich quick and life will be great." However, those lessons will be lost, but really, I hate Greg's assistant, just because the writers admit he is annoying and everyone hates him, doesn't mean to keep him around. Seriously, he brings nothing to the table and the show is falling into the trap of: "he might have his tenure, but it's hell because of his assistant or office politics." Writers, go visit a real college and maybe you will find out what is funny.

The writers have piled more and more and rewritten Jo's history so much, how can they expect NOW to feel something for Jo. She is acting like she went through the exact same thing as her mother. Or they go into her rant with: "I was bounced around from home to home and then decided to live in my car and then was beaten by a guy who said he loved me." You think like after all that and saying: "I have a job I love, a husband who loves me." Oh no, she goes into: "I can't tell you, I need to go drink now." "Don't go to Pittsburg or I'll leave you!" Where the hell is it coming from? No, this isn't a woman who is feeling her life has been shit since day 1, she is basically going: "I'm a product of my circumstances" instead of: "See how I rose above it and got a life I enjoy." It's forced drama and trying to repeat April's situation and it JUST IS NOT WORKING!

It's funny considering the ratings dropped to below what it was back on ABC. Though with the merger with Disney. You have to wonder if the show will make it past another season.
