Then add in the bitching controlling "house wives" that are divorced or their husbands just throw money at them and don't sleep with them. Can't shows at some point just get that people get married for at least love than apparently they were "rich". Unless they inherited a company or money, I'm sure all these people started at the bottom of company at one point and were living paycheck to paycheck. Oh no, they are running through money like it burns a hole in their pocket. Telling their kids to eat a certain way and basically going: "this is how I view the planet and you will conform to it." Just enough!

Yep, which is known as stupid stubborn. It's one thing when you want to be a tree and don't want to move, but when you insult people or constantly believe you are right and the world is wrong you are being very ignorant about your views. It's like being told the house is on fire and going: "No it's not." until your arm catches on fire.

It was another fire fighter who made reference of Vic being a slut since she was sleeping with the Chief and then asked if Travis was "hitting that too". It wasn't unrealistic that Travis is getting charges pressed against him. However... it wasn't like people didn't hear what happened and it escalated into a full bar fight with others. Which means there would be other charges against other people and the bar owner could have sued. Praitt would have also knew that Travis was facing charges because he bailed him out the next day. It's kind of how Ryan's history of stealing and hot wiring cars magically was over looked when he applied to the police academy. They would have been like: "So, you use to love stealing cars and the Station 19 captain bailed you out? So, why should we hire you again?"

Housewifely Media: Clips, Previews, Reviews and Articles
readster replied to Meredith Quill's topic in American Housewife [V]
Yeah, you have to wonder if moving House Wife is a plan on getting ratings to kill off Fresh off the Boat or if ABC is really seeing if the show is worth keeping around after next year. -
Plus, it would have been a great way for Ross to show Ben how be a big brother as he was one with Monica. They had the opportunities and the writing would have been pretty organic but, they just never took them.
-
Which also doesn't help that all the other mothers act the same way and shame Katie for not being like them. Yet, their personal lives are pretty miserable and when they can't be the center of their own universe, they raise utter hell. It isn't funny and you don't want to root for anyone.

I agree or ones that bash their husbands or siblings and it comes across as: "How are you not divorced or dead by now?"
-
Right and that was a major story line in season 1. Especially after moron son thought they were hiding more money they had. Plus, most of season 2 was Greg getting his book published and Spencer accidentally bought all his copies that got him to be a full tenure professor. But then they dumped the super stalker/idiot graduate assistant on Greg and then put him in a former utility closet. I have yet to see a comedy treat people who are tenure professors that they actually you know, MAKE money. But they think it's funny, Big Bang did it for years. People can have decent salaries and still not make great financial decisions, but on AHW, they act like Greg works at McDonalds.

Right and we know it takes place after Nemesis, where Picard so saw such a major shift from Data's "death" to Riker and Troi leaving and the Enterprise E almost being destroyed. We also know that the destruction of Romulus DID happen in the prime timeline and had a big effect on both Picard, the Romulan Empire, Vulcan and the Federation.
-
Plus, Data's memories and experiences.
-
Plus, the show is very bad at having Pops or Ruby one minute be words of wisdom and the next: "How are you not in prison by now?" You get they were product of the times, but pretty much ruining your grandchild's credit score or able to purchase things or get loans is a big NO NO. Then people wonder why Dre has so many problems?
-
Yeah, when you get something like that it is inevitable. It's not like many of TNG cast aren't still working. In fact, many of them have continued on either related to Star Trek or with fellow cast members. I'm pretty sure we will see LeVar Butron or Gates McFadden show up.
-
I see it as more of Picard got to the point he just couldn't go on. Whatever happens after Romulus could have been the last part as it was a disaster even according to the Kelvin Timeline. It's more of he had hit a point where there wasn't really ay reason to continue on. Since we know several other TNG will show up, I think we will see who went where. I be happy if Riker also made it to Rear Admiral.

Right and no matter what the writers want us to think they had this all planned out, they really didn't. There are too many holes in the entire plot since the season began. I agree, college isn't for everyone, but at the same time. Junior is thinking he can just ride this out and he'll be good in life. Just 5 7 episodes ago, he was happy he got to be an assistant and his words were: "If I keep on this track, I'll NEVER HAVE TO GO COLLEGE AGAIN!" That right there didn't show someone who was trying to "FIND HIMSELF" that was someone who wanted an excuse not to do things. The only thing that was consistent with Junior was he alone took care of his baby brother's needs, which was actually pretty sad and also showed a weakness of the writers had NO IDEA what to do with Demante and have made it up as they went along. Showing the writers can't think of a good story line when they throw something not planned on the show. Baby D was because the show creator had a baby so late in life. Junior's situation was because the writers/producers/actors did not want the character gone from the show. They've proven the past 2 years, that when they don't plan something, it goes very, very wrong.

In my opinion when the writers started fighting with the triplets' parents who played Ben over use and money that's when things started shifting for him disappearing and Emma showing up. As many said, Emma made sense, Ben was this idea thrown in at the beginning of the series and the writers used it when it was convenient to them or Carol and Susan were free for filming. By the time Emma came into the picture, that part of Ross's life just disappeared outside from a mention at the end of the series. Several other TV writers thought it would have been both funny and interesting stories for Ben to deal with having a baby Sister and once again having it where his Dad wasn't married to the mother.

You summarized how it should have gone down. Instead TPTB wrote, acted and portrayed it badly. I never felt for Junior through out the season, if anything, I wish he would have been told when the season started that he had the year to decided what to do and where to go. If he didn't then he could get out. Instead it came off that by the end, Junior just said things that were not written or portrayed for the story to work. So, when he was kicked out it felt like it was 5 episodes later than it should have been.
-
Now, the spent the first 3 months of him basically doing nothing or others telling him he was doing nothing. Then finally, Dre decides for Junior to work for his company and first Junior calls him a sell out, when he really didn't get anything. Then they magically had him see a chance to be a personal assistant and Junior was all: "If I get this, I can find a true excuse not to go back to college." Then he strikes a really smart in the moment idea and then he is all: "I have made this amazing break and now I will NEVER GO TO COLLEGE EVER! ME SO SMART!" He didn't pursue finding himself, I was handed an idea and then decided to take advantage of it and now as Dre and Bow and both Ruby and Pops agreed, welcome to the real world and good luck, because we are done giving you free room and board. Of course, now this means that Dre and Bow have to actually take care of Baby D, which was another example of the writers making it up as they go.
-
Yeah, that made no sense.

In my opinion they went about both characters wrong. Zoey wants to be in the fashion world and could care less about what her academics are teaching her. Especially, if it doesn't relate to her major. Instead they turned into: "Went to college, parent freedom, now due stupid stuff." With Junior they reversed it from what his character has been since day 1. "Do my best and do all the cool stuff I can do in school and then go from there." Instead they turned it into: "Roommate scared me, I NEVER EVER WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE... EVER!" In the end, it was bad writing and just not having really any type of plan for the character.

Of course the Kids didn't learn anything, start of next season they will be doing stupid things again and if they expect Taylor will go to college, they better take a big look at how duh duh she gets. For Greg, he never learns, he just doesn't!
-
Right and they SAID Zoey's being cut off would effect Black-ish and didn't do anything. If anything, it should have been a wake up call not only to Junior that he also went too far, but also for the twins with: "Remember, be ourselves, but don't do STUPID things like Zoey and Junior."
-
In more ways than one. Despite the dumb asses he works with, Dre would have crashed and burned. Same with Charlie, they both keep that company going, as the old saying goes: "They need them more than Dre and Charlie need them."
-
Even more, that Manny always EXPECTS everyone will love his stuff, when everyone hates it and no one just tells him to go get a life and leave them alone. Manny is one of the people who will always be beaten over the head his crap doesn't fly, but he'll just keep doing it because he believes it will work. As the old saying goes: "Learn from your mistakes shows intelligence, Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome is called insanity."
-
I agree, when the episode was over I was like: "So, that's it?" I don't feel that Taylor or Oliver learned anything. Katie still is going to have to deal with crap from the town next season and Greg needs to stop being part of these groups. They are going to get him killed.

Right and it would pretty much make everyone happy that Junior was trying. How he is shown now, he has scored some big things, but he keeps acting like he's good now. He got a dose when he was kicked out of the house and even Pops telling him all the sacrifices his parents have made and he is just throwing it away. He's lucky he has a girlfriend to live with in his new apartment because it pretty much shows that Junior has no friends now, they have either moved on or went to college and are starting to find themselves. Junior's mind set is: "If I get some big scores, life is good." Missed a piece between Junior and Zoey, but I blame that on the writers.
