My choices: The First: For being around since the dawn of time, age didn't give it wisdom The Mayor: For all the stuff he was trying to do, he was trying for over 100 years to perform the ritual to become a giant Snake Demon. Also, he wasted Snyder, who was also a waste of Armin Shimmeren's talents post DS9. Synder was so one note and really, he didn't make things for Buffy and her friends "difficult". He wouldn't work as a principal in this day and age. Adam: Sorry. He made no sense, even the professor, she wanted to make Frankenstein demons for the government, but then had "alternative" motives and never thought for one second she was having a lower IQ than the First? Also, for someone so bent on disecting and making hybrid demons, she sure scared easily from demons (Including Giles) who just were scaring her and not trying to kill her. Plus, Adam so invincible that once Buffy ripped out his power core, he just died. OK. Then how about the Cheese Man that was just designed to be just some actor who needed a paycheck.

When does Dre ever "choose his battles" with Bow?

Yeah, never understood of people were cold or just wanted it to be that no one focused on their bodies. Yes, yoga/track pants are more stylish and thicker than the old leggings, but yes, as they say: "You don't leave much to the imagination."

Oh I agree. I remember when tights were a fashion in the 90s and then went away because girls and woman were tired of boys/men looking at their asses all the time. Now, you see that on anyone from 12-33. Yes, they are comfortable and warm even on cold days, but many times I keep thinking, especially teenage girls when they reach their mid to late 20s are going to go: "why did I feel I needed everyone to know if I was wearing underware or thongs back then?"

S06.E10: We're Not Getting Away With It

This show is a prime example of hits its magic in one season and then trying to "recreate the magic" afterwards just doesn't work or can't be carried over for multiple seasons examples such as: Scandal, Desperate House Wives, Heroes, ect. The shows gardener ratings, awards and critical acclaim, but can't keep that kind of high volume do to poor planning or never thinking past the initial set up. -
S04.E16: The Battle for Second Breakfast

Right and then when you have the sticom dad who does deserve it, everyone let's them get away with that particular behavior. look at Jim from According to Jim or Frank Reynolds who constantly made not only bad decisions, but constantly kept others in those bad decisions with the joke: "The best characters never learn anything." When they did things that would have gotten them fired or beat up and left for dead or you know... divorced. -
Yeah, I felt that ER really fell into the "writing by the seating of their pants" that has been doing on for decades from books to TV. Where they have an idea for a character, really only have the basics and then just see "where it goes." Malucci was a prime example and so was Weaver and Legaspi. Both were also influence by actors other committments to other TV Series/Networks. Same with Stanley Tunchi later on during the last two years. All of a sudden it was: "Well this doctor show got cancelled, let's grab Stan. Then it was: "Well, now he is getting a bunch of movie deals, and he wants to pursue them, so let's just see how we can end this on a dramatic note." I also thought them making Abby and Luka more miserable as time went on just a joke. From Luka wanting to leave the show to Tucci who went on twice with Abby about how affairs are the death of everything including his wife having one that ended his marriage, to then being a hypercrict and doing it with Abby and ruining her marriage and then later saying how it helped his wife and him get back together because of their son's bipolarism. ER seem to be transfixed on mental disorders after they killed Lucy.

S04.E16: The Battle for Second Breakfast

Right and and you have seen that Katie wants Taylor to have a happy life, but she just can't get past how "stupid" Taylor acts at times. It also doesn't help that Taylor doesn't want to "put in the work" more than what is fast. Like with Oliver, that he wants the "get rich scheme" or keep holding on to the stupidity that he "wants his real rich family" to come get him. At his point in time, I say let Taylor sleep with Trip. Have Oliver just go on his own with these ideas and then if they are so screwed and want mom and dad to get them out of it just go: "oh, but you act like we can't do anything or we are not your 'real' parents. Good luck!" -

The biggest problem is, the other characters are calling out more and more on Katie's behavior, even the kids. That's a problem because unless Katie is about to have a "come to Jesus" moment. This is not a good direction they are going with this season, Katie has been on everyone and Greg is being treated horrible by everyone. -
Yet, they want to keep Jen on the show. JUST WHY? Seriously writers, she SUCKS! The character, the actress, the story line. You DON'T NEED HER!

Plus, only Luke knowing what they were when you saw them. Even Alex would have been: "What eggs are these?" It also made Phil at times a little out there, I mean he drank the dye and then couldn't tell that the snake eggs were LARGER than the others? I mean come on.
-
Especially when she was going on about how it's been 6 years and she is wondering if she should propose. Sorry, even in this day and age you bring up: "So, where are we going?" After that amount of time. I agree, Emmett is just hurting everyone and Dixon is still proving to be an asshole. When they are at the fire talking about "do you job so the city board doesn't have to worry about insurance." What? Ripley wasn't perfect, but he would have NEVER said those things. Have a building fall on him and then Emmett can just admit to everyone and move on with his life and the writers can stop trying to "make us care."

How true, I had a friend who's father turned into that he went in less than a year after diagnoise.
-
I just don't like that story in general, even though I thought Rory looked great. In fact anything Huntzburger for all the work they did with the, turned into a great ball of crap. Hell, we never saw Honour and her "awesome fiance" again after that. Hell, it seemed they were going to do it that Rory and Honour were going to turn into friends and then turned it into "gap year" crap with Rory.

Oh Grey's they were about to send one of their interns who was 3 when she came to the US, was an apparent citizen, finished medical school on a scholarship because SHE RAN A RED LIGHT! The rest of the episode was good, but really we get it Maya sucks as captain. I thought Eva needed to be ran over for all the crap she put Jack and Rigo through, but can that same truck take out the Chief's son too, my GOD! He is more annoying than Schmidt on Grey's.
-
That was the entire problem, the guy was all kinds of wrong and Alex could have taken care of it no problem on her own. Or "should have" taken care of it on her own. It turned into: "Oh no, we threw a party and our parents can't know and we got ourselves in this mess." All 3 of them decided on the party together and all did things a 12 year old knows better not to do. Even how Luke handled the egg situation, all he had to do was grab, run to the pet shop and be done. Instead he was all: "oh duh... let me throw it here."

Or could you know start looking for a new one until the lease is up or just put it on the market. Plus, my GOD! They have made Schmitt even more pathetic with him talking about how his mother folded his underwear to the fact she can't "talk about his life" no matter what. So, apparently Schmitt had: his father leave, his uncle who was closeted gay and had his "wife" pretend all these years he was straight, who also paid for his medical school. Who apparently couldn't stand the sight of blood, and wanted to be a sugerion and only got contacts because he was "in love" followed by him magically being in love with lying Nico and is now even more pathetic. Makes us want to care? If anything, I know it's a paycheck but I think the actor should be going: "This is bullshit!" "This is worse than Teddy's character."
-
So much of this. Tom has been wasted on this stupid piece with Teddy at this point, just have her go: "originally I loved women and the love of my life died in 9/11, I can't be with anyone because I'm betraying her." I love to see both Owen and Tom go: "WTF?" As for Richard, just what the hell is this? It's like the writers threw every neurological disease in a hat and its symptons and then wrote it in page by page. I was waiting for Richard to then have a seizure followed by his slurring of words. I also like how he just got up, walked into the OR and grabbed a scaple and no one stopped him or went: "Oh there goes Dr. Webber, wonder why he is listed as a patient and has a gown in and is now walking into an OR with no patients when we have a hella of a lot in the ER now. Nah, he's fine!" Same with Deluca with: "You are suspended." WHY IS HE NOT WITH A SHRINK? He has a family history of bipolarism, he had a major break down and Bailey and Meredith just magically forget: "Oh by the way, you were right about the human trafficking, our bad." Same with Tom's ex-wife's second son. Who looks like his brother, slightly sounds like him and has apparently a similar cancer as his brother. So, unless everything is carried on his mother's side. Sounds like it's Tom's kid that HE NEVER KNEW ABOUT! The drama!

Plus, at that time the spider made the most sense and the situation when Luke was that age. Now, with this "social media" party and how everything went down. It was not only so stupid for words, but no one in their right mind (proving no one was) would put themselves in these situation. Especially given the current pandemic, something like this will not stand the test of time.
-
Plus, you can understand why the kids wanted to prove they "weren't old" yet, but then it just got extremely stupid. From Hailey's guilt of trying to cover things up like she is still 15 to Luke's entire python egg stupidity. All it proved that in 11 years, the kids are as helpless and Claire and Phil seriously didn't raise them to be independent in any shape or form. Constant helicoptering from Claire and Phil trying to be the "fun" dad showed that their kids will NEVER be on their own. I mean if Hailey's "fake business" is so successful and Dylan is rocking the nurse scene with "no student debt" then they SHOULD be able to at least live an apartment on their own. Alex was free until the family ruined her sweet apartment and she was guilt ed in taking a major pay cut. Luke is just a mess.

The entire Dumphy Clan was prime for Fladerization last night too. I mean I think there was a bet if they could write/film/credit how much Fladerization there could be in the next to last episode of the series. Manny was on prime example too with how Jay called out his crap and then magically, Manny was acting all high and mighty with things. Even to Jay for the third time in 3 years saying how he accepts Manny now. Even his line of: "I love that kid." The only one who wasn't Fladerized was Joe.

I agree and Taylor was write: "It's just mud." Plus even with 8K computers and TVs, the mud wouldn't be that noticeable. Of course, leave it to Oliver: "I can't look my best, screw everything else even if it doesn't make sense." You just roll your eyes because if he was that vain, he would not have walked out in the morning in his tshirt, bed head and panda slippers. -
Apparently not. Plus, very realistic that someone who almost made it to 5 years then fell off hard and relapsed. Saw it with a few family members myself and now they are going on 15 years strong. I did crack up at the final joke at the end trying to get the right white board cleaning mix.

How true and it's what the audience sees and wants, but TPTB seem to have other things in mind. Or they retrending on things that really don't make sense for ANY of the characters. If they do have Dan and Louise finally get together and be done with that. Then have it where Jackie is all "No, you don't deserve Dan!" That everyone puts Jackie in her place and go: "You can't deal with anything!" "You want to go back in time, you don't want anyone to move forward and YOU don't want to move forward in your life." "Seek help or get out!"

S04.E16: The Battle for Second Breakfast
readster replied to Harvey's topic in American Housewife [V]
How true, and while the show has been following on continuity this season from Oliver to Anna-Kat. This entire situation was: "Let's focus on the major part everyone agrees is the worst part and hate about the character and blow it up times 11." Even when Greg called her out on it three times, she still rewrote it in her head. Greg's line: "That is not what I said at all." Then tells Greg that she never listens to him was along the lines of: "Why are they married then?"
