Wow! Talk about thrown together because they didn't know if they would get another season or not. Even with all this thrown together the timeline and everything is just so off kilter. Ok, I get it, they knew the attack was coming soon that's why they grabbed Castle to get the info they needed. I can even understand erasing the memories but everything else is so stupid. 1. First of all they CIA after all of this leave evidence with the key on Castle, the fact they did the entire hiding in the same city everyone else is. Really? If they were that worried the assassin was still going to be able to track him down eventually. 2. So, you can tell Castle everything pretty much about what happened. But don't even mentioned the bullet or why it took 2 months and then erase the memory. No 30 secs to say: "We then tracked the people who were planning the attack due to your connections and... you didn't like how we took care of them." But no, just: "We can't tell you those details and I'm sorry about your wedding." 3. So Mr. Black Ops can keep his napkin off at the exotic bar he goes to but he can't think of pulling out cash instead of using his credit/debit cards when he checks in on his package. Sure, great idea there and even worst, only Castle can notice someone going to the same place on a regular basis that on almost all the same days. 4. Sure Espo, Castle is being stupid again because never mind: Former military that wanted to create a terrorist attack so the US would go to war with Libya. Former sleeper Russian agents trying to cause WW3 because they can. 3XK following the Police and FBI and faking his death 3 times along with the doctor no one would arrest who had all these plans, having someone look like you to sneak out and destroy all evidence. How about your former partner who was framed by a dirty IA officer that no one ever thought about. How about your former police captain was in a murder cover up with a corrupt Senator who was killing people and using former military. Or how about the entire Dreamworld and Bio weapons that a reporter was trying to get back at a senator? Remember those? No. Never mind. 5. Yes, of course Dr. Worf would think they weren't memories at first. Then he decides to retrace to when the dreams first started. Sure, never thought about that first. Duh! 6. Why didn't the CIA change the defectors face if they could erase memories and him being in the US as a student? Including the paper copies? 7. Why did they even bother setting up the Mythology when they had no idea what to do?

Same thing about the shooting at the hospital. A guy killed doctors because he hated them because his wife died. He just didn't kill the doctors who were there working on his wife. He killed nurses, security guards, anyone who was in his way. Of course Alex was almost killed by the same killer, Meriah was almost killed at gunpoint and had her intern die in her arms. Had a fellow intern electrocuted to death because she can't realize water and electricity don't mix. I mean these people have gone through horrible, horrible things that were public knowledge and its like these people live in a bubble called: "Look! A kitten!"

Watching the episode again this weekend, yeah I don't think Nobu was worried. Plus if you really look at the fight, Matt just deflected the blade higher so he couldn't whip it around again and hit him. Hence, the light got hit and the sparks caused the fire. At that point Nobu figured he could kill Matt and then roll out and instead it was his end.

That exactly it! I mean with Maggie: "Oh, I can't sleep in the same bed as a man." "I was so smart I graduated everything early so I act like a 12 year old who has a crush on her teacher." "I can google on who my half-sister is and since its Grey/Sloan, it must be after my mother who gave me up for adoption. Never mind what the hell Sloan has to do with anything." Oh come on! It is so stupid and everyone acting like the plane crash was like your car getting hit in the parking lot while you are getting groceries. People died! Others were left with tons of scars both physically and mentally. You don't just shrug your shoulders one day and go: "Oh well, look pizza!" Same goes for Arizona now hating Alex because you know, she never knew and it was Alex's fault since he actually cut her leg off. So, all the crap with Callie and all that the last few years would never have happened if Arizona knew it was Alex and not Callie. Sure whatever and Kevin McKidd, wow! Has his character and acting been just assassinated to nothing and I continue, Stephanie is a useless character. The writers have no idea what to do with her so they just put her in very stupid situations and hope a great story might be born. Just give it up!

That's what really made the story so stupid to me in the first place. I completely agree, Logan was not getting where Rory was at that moment. He was too caught up thinking: "Oh hey, there is a bad girl in there." Later he realized his family was not only horrible to Rory but his dad really burned her in more ways than Logan himself. That is also what got to me in the story is that we never saw anyone else's reaction sans Luke. Who felt she did go too far and knew he had a say about things since he was going to be her stepfather. Paris didn't do zilch. She was still: "Oh Fletcher is gone but I have Doyle!" Lane was caught up with Zach and living on her own. Emily and Richard were so set that the Hutzburgers did nothing wrong until Richard learned from Mitchum it was all true. Mitchum even defending himself going: "If I was so wrong about her, then she wouldn't have taken things so bad from me." Which was true. Rory was so set to fit into this world that when she was told she wasn't good enough. Something that her other grandparents Staube and Francine made abundant that they never recognized her as their granddaughter by as a mistake. Rory shouldn't have had a problem or her friends and town family telling her that wasn't true and to prove Mitchum and company wrong. Instead, everyone let Rory melt down, Lorelai said she wanted Rory to come to her and did crap. It was Jess who actually said everything that everyone else should have told her. I mean, even Dean's stupid appearances could have been: "I might not be accepted in this world but you can't settle for this life." Or even Ms. Patty who knew Rory since she was a little girl going: "Honey, this isn't you, why do you feel like you have to be like this?" Nope, that was all over shadowed because Rory's perfect world was shattered by an asshole.

While enjoyable, the episode felt very out of place leaving things in the air. Especially if Kristin is going through with the wedding now. I think the biggest problem this season is they left many things up in the air ended things out of nowhere. The vaccine episode is a great example of writing to fit the plot and at the end we still had no idea if Boyd finally got his shots. Not to mention never explained how Ryan never got immunized. Vanessa's leaving her job over a very stupid reason and then magically getting into her high school job was really inconsistent. From being in as an intern to magically working there full time not to mention what she was really teaching. Science? Geology? Business? Ed's girlfriend losing the baby, it was very heart breaking but they set it up wrong. Then no mentioned of it for about 5 episodes and then: "She lost the baby, it was a boy." I know LMS is a comedy but they could have shown Ed dealing with being a dad again and his daughter's having a new sibling 20 years later before the tragedy. Or how about Eve's weird sports problems with the football team, invisible boyfriends and then her friend who might have been attracted to her? That was a real mess this season and don't get me started on Kyle and Mandy. Now here with Ryan's dad, who should have been on the show a while ago and then just shows up for very weird reasons and then it was all over. He should have been in a few episodes or seasons ago. Get rid of Kyle's Vegas Trip and Mandy's tax episodes and had this season end with the wedding with Kristin either going through with it or not. If LMS does come back for season 5. Will the wedding have happened over the summer? Where is Kyle? Eve is graduating from high school next year, so is she going military or not? Too much of a mucky season 4.

Looking at how this ended, if there is a season 2 then Cristela staying works because she can pay rent to make up for Gabriela's loss of salary. Then when the family is doing better, she can move out on her own. Also, it gets Felix's wish of not having Cristela around as much because she would put in long hours on some cases and others she be home by certain times. The kids are growing up and they aren't going to need a babysitter around as much now. As for Ama, be interesting to see how she treats Cristela now that she is finished with school, has a license and is practicing law at a high firm. If the show is done, well I can say it did have a nice end to things in the long run. Most first season shows don't even get that.

Season 1 Discussion: The Devil Of Hell's Kitchen
readster replied to The Crazed Spruce's topic in Daredevil [V]
I was very happy with the series from beginning to end. They really built on the MCU and the 50 year of Daredevil history very well. While I would have loved to see Matt putting on his dad's boxing robe (which his original yellow costume was made from). The organic flow to the traditional red costume, billy club and set of the Hell's Kitchen cast was exceptional. Great casting and I know we will see our favorite martial arts grandmother in the Iron Fist series. They also had the set up perfect for Matt and Foggy's old college buddy, Larry Craston who would become Mr. Fear as a nice set up and work of the other well known Daredevil villains with the death and power vacuums left over from Fisk and company either going to prison or ending up dead. I'm very happy with the series. Bring on Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. -
The problem is, they don't know what to do with her character. They have no decided to stick her to: "I want my own story!" Really, she is trying to corner attendings to do "fun stuff." She complains about how: "No one loves me!" Her lisp is beyond annoying and I'm to the point where she just needs to go. Really, just send her off, she adds nothing to the show at all.
-
Yeah, if it goes with Rick getting a reward and revealing what lead him to being a writer and wrapping up the "crapology" I'm all for it.
-
Yeah, I never saw April as evil but she was contrived just like the complete "secret daughter" story idea that gave us April and Anna "She's all mine!" character.
-
I had a feeling the way they were talking that episode 20 was going into episode 23. Leaving two episodes of filler that have nothing to do with what happens in 20. So, we are going to see what Castle's big secret is that he has told no one but "mythology guy."

She didn't really go into that. She did say when she was reading the original story, she could see Alexis at her age trying to break away more and be her own person. Which she understood because you suddenly want to be an adult or consider yourself an adult and make decisions you figure people will be happy with the choices you make or won't. She liked that part of the story but said it just didn't go really as planned, there was negative feedback and as she said. The story ended early so they didn't really have much time regroup. They just had to end it and move on. She says she has loved working with the entire cast for a while and even said that Ashley, the former boyfriend she wanted more to go with the story. However, he was split between Castle and Secret Life of a Teenager, they couldn't work out a deal with Brenda Hampton to have him more or deal with other aspects of a serious boyfriend. She even made a joke about if Alexis was still a virgin or not. In the long run, she said its a job and you have to work with it and you have a lot of expectations out of what you want to do in acting or what your part will be about. Since this has been more of a regular series for her for the last several years she was hoping Alexis would do even more in the following season. Of course, we saw how that went now. I also asked her about Superman:Brainiac since she did the voice of Supergirl in it. She said it was a lot of fun and would love to do one with Nathan since he does the voice of Green Lantern in the DC animated movies.

You know if this ends up being the final episode and the show doesn't get renewed. As I have said many times before there is a lot of wasted stories if they had to put Ryan and Boyd right up front the last few years they should have had Ryan's family in more. Now, his father is showing up just before he get's married to his only grandson's mother. Of course he has other motivations, Ryan has talked about it the last 3 years how his dad is a jerk. As for Vanessa trying to get more family members to come, at this point, who cares? You'll save money in the long run and not to mention, I think its basically the writers version of how most fans see Ryan/Kristin/Boyd. They don't care about them and good luck finally having them married so they can be one Big Happy Family.

You are welcome and Molly was very pleasant and friendly to talk to. I asked her three simple questions and she gave very nice answers. Like with Pi, she never said she hated it or thought it was stupid. Just it didn't go as planned and the stories were reshuffled as a result of ending it earlier than planned. It wasn't like she was giving any spoilers away. She is shorter than I thought in person but I'm 5'11.

No, Alicia sees Zach as a homeless person who can tell the truth and has no home to go to. In other words, Alicia doesn't care anymore because you know, couldn't tell her but could tell his girlfriend's parents about the abortion. Peter wasn't happy about that either but he understood where Zach was coming from. Keep in mind, Alicia is: "Do as a I say, don't do as I do."
-
I also agree, I actually met Molly Quinn last year and she told me that everything with Pi was dropped because viewers reacted so negatively to it but it was planned for three more episodes. They then rushed it to the conclusion and it threw everything out of whack for what they wanted Alexis to do last season including her full major and degree. The original plan was that Alexis was going to be on her own and while she could come home to dad when she needed to, it was planned for her to truly be on her own. When the story was rushed do to the negativity they decided to drop the plans to work out the rest of the season and that the cliffhanger with the wedding was planned around the time the stories were being reorganized. I kind of see the same this season like last season. They worked with Alexis and Martha reacting to Castle missing and some of the aftermath but as the new "mythology" has been so poorly planned out. They kind of rushed to fix things with the season and now we are getting these story lines coming out of nowhere with Alexis. I think they just don't know what to do with her and Martha now and if next year is the last season. They are trying to set things up to where Alexis is off to her future if they really are planning on baby Castle in the finale.

You know my problem with shows like Good Wife and other shows back in the days of Boston Legal and especially The Practice. How they had SA and Assistant DAs doing so many unethical and illegal things yet they were still practicing law. I can't count the amount of times I have seen people like Geneva doing things that any other judge would have thrown out of court in real life or had been reported to the bar association in a heartbeat. Yet on TV shows it isn't about suspending belief it is basically telling the audience, we are idiots who don't understand how doing something both illegal or unethical will have you still touting around large salary jobs. You can even take a person out back and shoot them in front of everyone and people will still go: "Ho hum... how was your day?" and nothing happens. It was like the death of Will and how the lawyer was trying to get him off when A) that gun would have never made it past a Chicago Courtroom and B) There were so many witnesses and other things that any other lawyer would have said: "Umm... yeah I can't help you. Good luck!"
-
Completely agree. They really have put this to the point they just need to wrap it all up next season. We know Bishop and Kalinda will be gone by the end of the season. Grace would be finishing up high school next year and we know Zach isn't coming back. With the firm and Alicia resigning as SA. Just have it all wrap up next year and have it end with Peter and Alicia divorcing and Grace going on to college and everyone move on to a unknown future but with smiles on their faces they are no longer tied up in everyone else's agendas or back stabbing.

Yeah the gas break was an accident but Matt made a last minute decision to stop Nobu. I can't fault him for that. It wasn't like with Fisk killing the brother at the end of episode 4. He knew right there and then he was going to make sure he was dead. Maybe not by beating him to death and then decapitating him with the car door but he planned on killing him right there and then. Matt had to make a last minute decision and he has done that in the comics before. He doesn't like it when he has to go to that extremes but he has done it.
-
That's what I mean. In fact, Alicia's deal with Bishop made plenty of sense, he rolls his main guys and then (secretively gives them a heads up). Then everyone wins but instead its as you said: "Scary Mr. Bishop will kill us." Then SA's office is like: "We don't care we just want him in jail and if you won't do it, you can go to jail."
-
I completely agree and if they are going with where I think they will go with Grodd. He will still be an intelligent gorilla from a hidden city of thers. However, despite his high intellect and mind powers. Grodd can still be a wild beast and would be more than happy to rip you apart from his own two hands. I like what they did with Girder making it so he could shift between metal and human flesh. In the comics he is always metal and is falling apart slowly due to him rusting. It was a nice update like with Golden Glider. I also see them keeping the idea with newer Rogues like, Double Down who's skin is made out of cards that fly off and can cut through anything or the Folded Man who's suit allows him to travel across the 3 sets of dimensions from 2d-3d and in-between.
-
Exactly Starri. It was explained that a large rainstorm or loud noises can be very off setting to his radar and other heighten senses because its almost like an overload. Otherwise as shown in episode 2, his eyes do not respond to light in any shape or form and while he can feel the ink on a newspaper strip and read it with touch due to the ink standing out on the paper. He can't do it digitally or color sense. He is legally blind.
-
They should honestly just wrap it up next year. Have Grace finish high school and go off to college. Alicia finally divorces Peter and they both head off with not knowing what the future holds but know they will not be held down by each other anymore. The kick the last of the morons of the SA office out. No more secret hacking, framing or whatever to get the bad guys. Just be lawyers with moral grey areas. That is what it should be about. Some feel bad about the cases and others are: "No, you are trying to mess with an innocent who didn't do anything wrong." It has gone to: "See politics are evil!" "Secrets destroy things and the good guys want to be just as bad as the bad guys to get justice!"
-
Because they don't know any better way than to rewind and then keep going because they had no idea where to take the stories until the very end. As Chrstine said: "And here we are.... back at the beginning." The tiredness and anger in her voice said it all.
