  1. You also have to love some of the "oh shit" looks people at the hearing were giving when Dixon made his announcement about his new position. Basically the: "He knows where the bodies are buried, we can't get rid of this guy, bad for us, even if this about Sullivan." Because God forbid Station 19 not have someone NOT against them. They had the battalion chief against them in season 1. Then they had various city council members being morons. Then along came Dixon and because he as so "popular" the writers just brought him back. That the fact the show he was going to leave for never got picked up. Thanks again COVID.
  2. As they say: "Ally McBeal didn't happen fast enough for her." Then they basically wrote her off too.
  3. Right David is NEVER brought up in any shape or form. Another thing is, it was barely 3 years ago, they were doing fine, outside David running out on them and then Darelene losing her job, which started this mess. You can expect us to believe that Harris would be blaming everyone for these problems if she really KNEW her parents. She comes off as an idiot.
  4. She apparently was still there when the season started. Of course, in the current environment, the parlor would have customer and limited staff. Plus, the protests were way way off. While they were still going on and more now with the post elections. It just made no sense and Harris has never ONCE talked about any interest. She has acted more of: "I should have money and fuck anyone else who wants because I want it because I'm Harris!"
  5. Same here when I was younger, because my grandparents had blue carpeting from the time I lived with them to the age of 6.
  6. At this point, I could see them going there.
  7. Right it also goes back to Mark's situation with the kid who they thought was a gang member. Then turned out he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone kept going at Mark that it was his fault things happened up to how the kid "magically sneaking" in the bathroom and just waiting for him to be alone. How the lawyer just made the lawsuit go away when after Mark was pretty much beaten to death would have had the case dropped there. The judge would have been: "Yet, someone kicked the shit out of Dr. Greene, and you have no idea who did that do you sir/mame?" "Case kicked out over everyone being stupid!"
  8. Yes, that felt realistic, of course many other teens realize when your car doesn't run and you have been living fine without it for 8 months. Usually you don't just magically go try and get it and then try to get it to run and then basically say the hell with it the next time anyone sees you. I get that it was just an excuse to get Jess back on the show, but it was SO STUPID!
  9. He really has no use any more and everything he puts himself into or his opinion on things just makes you go: "What world do you live in?" They have not had any idea what to do with Junior since they did his "gap year" and we all know how that went. Including the writings saying: "Well, we had no plan for Junior, we were just hoping it eventually work itself out and sadly it didn't." Well, duh!
  10. I agree, Darlene was a loner who honestly didn't get any cliche when she went to high school, which was what really lead to her depression back then. Which makes sense, I had something similar, but my depression was also brought on by many other factors, including one that didn't get diagnosed until I was in early 20's. Makes me really upset how the writers are trying to rewrite things. AS for Harris. The first thought did make sense, I mean she was trying to earn money and doesn't have any. HOWEVER... this isn't like Harris was taking stuff from Dan that he owned and selling it and then pissed off that Dan wanted his cut of the money. EVERYONE knows about Dan's super under water (which is both his and Rosanne's fault). It would have made also more sense if Lousie would have said: "Dan, just sell the fucking place, take the money, divide it and come live with me." Of course that's never brought up, and yet Dan is upset Lousie wants to go to her place for a while. Also, Harris, I wanted money too at 19, but I also knew better to try and keep my job to HAVE money and not put myself into stupid situations where then I complained that I lost the job because I had to protest because you know, reasons.
  11. Right and the TA at least comes off as awkward and not looking like a stalker or creep the way Greg's did last time. I also agree, the message was pretty clear. Too much can have serious problems even when used in the right OR wrong way.
  12. Or you know gone: "Well, I've lost this house now 5 times once every decade for 50 years." This year, was almost it forever, so you have a choice to keep it running or we are all living in a car, you self absorbed brat!"
  13. At this point the only mystery is how these two not only "started" a human trafficking ring, but how the hell they even kept it going. Of course if all the women they grabbed were just running away and leaving their boots. They probably were: "We so smart, good old pool of acid saves us again!"
  14. Oh look, Harris has been slacking off and now loses her job because she apparently started caring about protests in the "big city". What? Yes, writers, you don't know what to do with her. We get it.
  15. That requires logic and basic thinking. None of these characters do that from the bad guys, to the victims to guys fishing who are: "well, you look like hell and are scared about something, but excuse me there be trout here." "Oh no, acid!"
  16. Luke pretty much told Jess: "You think this job is the best ever, sorry, but it's not! You can finish school still, then move out and then go for it!" Instead Jess acted like everything was stupid, he knew better and then look what happened. Outside an off hand comment, Jess was a drop out that apparently got his GED at some point.
  17. No kidding. Oliver acted like Katie and Greg checked his stuff ALL THE TIME!. Well, I hope this puts to bed Greg trying to preserve anything in this town. Seriously, no one cares and can actually make counter arguments very well. Also, Katie on kids not being "tough" these days. Been there, done that. As for Taylor, I like she is now realizing there is more to the world and school than just trying to pass class or date. It's a good turn for the show to show that there is more to life. While college isn't for everyone, I like this take on Taylor.
  18. The problem is, the show is trying to not only act like COVID isn't a thing in this world. Yet, the situations, where the characters, ect ARE related to COVID. I mean they decided to throw Anna-Kat and Franklin into remote learning and "quarantine" together because Franklin's parents are in a cult (jab at current politics). Doris is constantly, constantly on Facetime some place, because: "I can't be in town right now." They show most of the kids doing more online learning and less face to face, since they can't put that many people together. It's either make it believable, or just acknowledge this is going on in the world. You can't have it both ways.
  19. Right and then they tried to do the time skip to get everything aligned and it just didn't make sense. Having seasons and sets match up with current time was not GG strong point or even realism.
  20. He was written better and acted better on his guest appearances on Grown-ish. Which, proves that while same creative teams, they have better stories with either Junior at college or playing off Zoey. Here, he is in the "huh zone" .
  21. Right, even the first couple of episodes paint Greg as stupid, not someone who worked so hard to not only get tenure, but also so he could have more opportunities to write and be recognized. Yet, as proved with Lonnie, his superiors just think he is a joke. Hell, even some of the things the town wants to do with the areas Greg wants "preserve" make even less sense. "Well, it's there and who cares, we need money in the town." I want to go: "Why? Half of your town is always basking how rich they are and everyone else sucks." Plus, even Katie perfectly pointed it out: "Greg, you can save everything even if someone famous peed there at one point." With Greg, at one point has he gone too far in his green quest? Or when Oliver or Katie basically bully and belittle him Greg never goes: "Well, fuck you! I'm so sorry maybe I want to try and keep the planet going and stop thinking it's the 1950s where it doesn't matter if we blow up nukes just to see what happens."
  22. Right and hell Lorelai probably would have given Kirk a discount if anything or with all Kirk's "odd jobs" he could have just been a cleaner for the rooms. We all know he would have quit for some stupid reason by the following week.
  23. I just realized, what the HELL did Becky want to go to college for? She didn't seem to have any clear plan, only that when the bike shop went under, she was NEVER EVER GOING to get into college. What did she want to do? Be a nurse? Lawyer, accountant? Teacher? Becky was: "Oh, this small town will suck me under like my parents, I must run with my bad boy boyfriend who's life sucks more than mine."
  24. Plus, she is always looking for an excuse to piss someone off. Her deleting both Franklin and Anna's assignments because she saw it as a waste of time for herself. Not, the kids who also knew they had to do it and also were fine doing it. Then again, we are suppose to think that Greg, for all his expertise, working his ass off to support the family and everything. Everyone thinks he is a joke, give him jobs just because they find him annoying. That all his kids think he is wasting his time with his green earth to the point all three of them and Katie tell Greg it's a scam and to just let the planet burn. It's gotten as old as Katie always trying to convince Oliver he is gay. No wonder Oliver keeps thinking his family is fake and he is from some rich family that abandon him. I wouldn't want to be associated with them either.
  25. Plus, the fact that college admissions only go to the kids and NEVER EVER the parents too. Plus, EVERYONE's houses are great and the Ottos are constantly told their house is a dump. Outside some nicer entertainment equipment and heated floors. THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!
