  1. The writing for Cooper has felt more realistic of how inept he is on simple things like chores, and how privledge he has been as people from The Ottos to even his teachers are pointing out: "Cooper, seriously, how do you dress yourself?" But it's done in a way where you get it, he didn't have to worry about cleaning up the house, raking leaves, buying stuff on his own. He had someone always doing it for him or his parents were so: "we have money, people can do all our crap instead and we can just go places." It's exaggerated, but not over top. Unlike say the "mean housewives" who you just want to go: "how did you guys even make it to being adults?"
  2. Right I agree with that and you notice too. They aren't "by each other" but they make it look like that or use a video chat on a computer or phone to fill in the rest.
  3. I agree, it feels like they had most of these episodes filmed. Then just "refilmed" with the new Anna-Kat and filled in a few missing blanks. I mean, do Greg and Katie know that Taylor lied about not getting in. Now, she is and is actually "trying". Oliver finally gets a smack down that he isn't anyone special, but he does have a knack for thinking things up and going from there. I also like how the show "tries" to act like COVID isn't in this universe, but then makes it so you know the actors are staying away from each other.
  4. Oh like blowing all the budget on the stupid musical summer episode and having Lorelai border on human trafficking with the twins and Lane and Zach look like they were looking into the Dead Lights. Yep, I rather forget too.
  5. Right and aged while they were frozen.
  6. Right and even with April's appearance in the Revival. Luke is still: "She's my daughter and she will like you better." April is 24 by then! I mean, WTF? Even AS-P saying that April was to keep Luke and Lorelai a part and "create needed drama." Oh bullshit. It was created because you wanted your precious Christopher story that even the new show-runners still did.
  7. Let's not forget Morris, who up until that point was constantly revealed to have had "help" in getting through Medical School. Yet said: "I passed them on my first try." Which translated to: "Well, my agent and manager told TPTB that I either become a competent doctor, or I'm out of here, I mean I got an Emmy for Band of Brothers. I'm not some dumbass.
  8. Right and that was perfectly done. And they were... chili cheese fries! Ahhhh!
  9. Hard to believe it's been going off and on since the 1960s.
  10. No kidding, even when John Stamos came onto the and his character was to transfer from Paramedic to full doctor. They had him being questioned and asked about things constantly. (Sadly things even a first year would know). Yet with Abby, oh no, it was Super Abby, she knows everything and never step in and set her straight. Then again, even when Stanley Tucci's character told her about she needed to stay away from higher up doctors and that she couldn't "sleep" her way with the boss to get things. Which at that time it was just Luka and he got tired of the red tape crap. He apparently wasn't there when Carter was head of the ER. Yet, then he decides to in a moment of drinking (knowing her history) sleeps. Messes up her already shakey marriage with Luka and the fact that broke up his own marriage. Then turns around and tells Luka that the one nighter helped get his wife together and made him be a better father to his also bi-polar son. Because like Grey's had alzheimer's running around, bi-polar and schizophrenia ran around ER like it was the flu or COVID.
  11. Right and as much as we loathe Abby, here everyone is in the right, but the parents. I mean if the mom knows WHY her husband hates the hospital. Then get your asses in gear and go, I mean you hating the hospital could have gotten your daughter killed. Plus, jeeze just tell the school: "Don't send her to country!" They acted like couldn't have done that from the start.
  12. Same here, even dated a woman who was still stuck on the toxicity of her ex just because "we were together for three years". I was like: "And he screwed you over and basically revealed he probably never loved you." We broke up and then she got over her ex, and found out later since I had a great relationship with her parents. The said ex of her's got married and ended having a baby and that's when she realized she had been wasting her time and I moved on. Never knew where she is now, but ran into her brother a few years ago and she is still can't stay with the good men everyone likes and keeps going out with guys who used her or treated her like crap. She broke off ties with her parents because they suggested she get help for her toxic relationships and she decided to break off communication with them. Sometimes it just boggles the mind why people do that to themselves.
  13. Yep and why they won't use Andy either, even though he was more of a part of season 7, which they do count. The show just doesn't want it, they rather have misdirected "I should be committed" Jackie and Darelene, Becky and DJ repeating their family's mistakes in life.
  14. The show always wants it both ways with Junior. The family basically hates him, but then he does things that any other parent or super visor or girlfriend would smack him over the head. His entire "dropped out of school" gap year story, which the writers admitted they had no plan, they just wanted to keep the actor on the show and vice versa. They just take the cheap route with Junior all the time. He does something without thinking that a 5 year old would know. Or they have him do something that does make sense, but then Dre or Bow act like they picked him off the streets and want to put him back there. Same goes with Bow constantly being shit on at the hospital. You can't tell us there aren't other hospitals where they live. I mean, a great story would be Bow going to another hospital where she is treated completely fairly and the hold hospital goes; "We needed Bow, we were always pissy because she was a better doctor that us, now we might lose our jobs." But no, wash, rince, repeat, repeat, repeat... did we mentioned that Junior is an idiot? Hey where's the baby?"
  15. Yeah, they basically just had doctors "handling" kid cases. Like I mentioned with the little girl who was the granddaughter of a throw away story in the early seasons. The dad didn't want her anywhere near the hospital, YET... the school took her to county and the whole story was: "She needs her surgery" and the entire episode is about trying to get ahold of the father who apparently as on a business trip. Lucius and Luka of course use their "veto" parent signature when she almost dies and performs a routine surgery to take care of her appendix. The father comes in, chews out everyone saying: "You had some young doctor who thought he was a hotshot and killed my father." "I hate this hospital." You get he is angry, but no one calls him on: "We saved your daughter's life." or "None of us were here for that, fuck you too, sir!"
  16. The problem is, then Lonnie would be stuck with them too. Oh God...
  17. I think you mean Andy. The truth is, you have plenty of room to add in stories of how the characters were if they were infants. I mean, even on Murphy Brown brief reboot. They had Avery following in his mother's footsteps, never knew his father and was dealing with the ethics of being a modern day journalist vs. what his family taught him. It was a great look and conflict for the characters. I mean hearing throw away lines like: "Jerry is on a fishing boat" and Jackie completely: "Kid, ex husband? What are talking about? I Fucking hate my mother and I have to latch and suck the life out of everyone because my sister is dead."
  18. Right and that is a constant problem. I mean you want your son/daughter dating half to be liked and have a good relationship with them. Especially, if things go south or times there are arguments/disagreements. HOWEVER... yeah in this case, I'm wondering if the writers are planting that seed. Let's face it, if Dre and Bow had a choice, they dump either Junior and Zoey or Diane to the wolves and make a run for it.
  19. I agree and being that this is the fifth season to make the change causes more problems. Not that American Housewife isn't the first show to do this. Has been going on for years, but as many have said changing Taylor from the pilot to now wasn't much a change as the show as brand new. Shows that had the most glaring change of actors in an establish roles were: Fresh Prince when they changed Aunt Viv, the Becky switch out on Rosanne, Kristin on Last Man Standing and Darrin from Bewitch. They were such switches audiences did head turns. They weren't anywhere near the personalities of the originals and they then switched the writing to "fit" those actors and it didn't work. I see them trying to make 'new' Anna-kat be like the old, but we will see. The only thing they can really change is if the shows stays on another couple of years, her growing up will fit in line with the character. But honestly, I wish they would have switched out the Principal and gone in a different direction with the school admin instead of: "Ummm... me Principal Skinner, I'm anal and my mother will beat me if I get out of line and I'm in my early 50s... duh!"
  20. Right, that's the thing, fine with Shively, seen him on other shows, but Lonnie has worn out his welcome, majorly.
  21. Yep, as they say: "contrived". The only thing that would make sense is that fake doctor was planning on going there next and after being found out. Made a run for it.
  22. Right and sadly when they do focus on Bow's job, you get the same story over and over again: "Oh Bow, you are not a real doctor and busted your ass to get to this place in life. You might as be a CNA, we are REAL doctors." Kind of like Dre's company, at what point are they going to put themselves in bankruptcy? These guys have shown how they got on top was being friends with someone with money and Forest Gumped their way ever since.
  23. Cooper you can get away with since he would be the sibling the Oliver wanted not what he got being the middle kid with two sisters. As for what's his name I keep forgetting, the YouTube Loser. Yeah, I'm sorry that is more of the show honoring his ABC contract than having meaning. Like I said upthread, its Greg's assistant all over again, except he is more obsessed with Greg as a father figured where the former assistant was hell bent on being "perfect" for everyone because he could NEVER graduate and kept trying to seem important. Youtube Loser has the success, but as he put it, he's just a big showman, the problem is, he isn't realizing that maybe his popularity is going to die someday. Instead of trying to have it where his book keeps going on and on, the should change it where Greg starts showing him there is more than just video likes and cashouts from endorsements. I mean seriously, even NFL hall of famers have to find later work too because they don't know what to do and burn through their money. Now that! Would be a story to get behind not more: "I keep embarrassing Greg and pissing his family off, but I just want him to be my dad!" We got Cooper for that and that feels more realistic and natural.
  24. That is horrible and I'm so sorry. I get like that some family get togethers on my wife's side. Like I'm: "You married into the family and you aren't into what we are in, so never mind." Then they wonder why I seem to ever talk to anyone. Said multiple times that when I do I get shut down and then they act like it's my fault. When we have other events with family members who have similar interests. We have a great time. Yet, sadly it's a circle no one seems to realize what they are doing when really, you just want to be acknowledged.
