  1. Hello all: I'll keep this short and sweet. *Deep breath* enjoyable ep; hate what they've done to Renard, annoyed that they killed Meisner instead of fleshing out his character, happy for return of ballsy Nick, disgusted for the return of Juliette, confused because I think I like Adalind now. Also, yay a Monrosalee baby!
  2. I agree. I was interested to see how they would flesh out his character beyond the mysterious player working with Renard but they haven't given us anything. Which isn't surprising.
  3. I have so many mixed feelings about this episode. I'm angry that after wishing that Hank have a life of his own his girlfriend turns out to be a part of Black Claw. I'm disappointed that after so many seasons of waiting for the PTB to decide on what role Renard was to play they decide to make him a bad guy and Nick's enemy. I actually liked Adalind in this ep and empathized for her situation. A mother should never put a man above her kids; if she thought that she had to leave Nick and side with Renard to get Diana back I can't be mad at her for that no matter how much I don't like her.
  4. I don't always watch live but I've been recording the eps and keeping up with the show sporadically but if they kill off Hank I'm done. Next to Monroe he's become my favorite character; I could take or leave Nick these days. Russell Hornsby is definitely wasted on this show.
  5. I agree. They don't exactly do a stellar job with the males either ( I'm looking at you Renard).
  6. The first time around she was pretty freaked out when she realized that Hank's partner was a Grimm as are most of the Wesen that meet Nick that aren't a part of his inner circle. Her questioning if he was still partnered with the Grimm seems logical for a Wesen interested in the close friend of a Grimm. I didn't see her questions shady but that's my viewpoint.
  7. This was actually the one thing that I liked about this ep. I like Hank and he needs a life outside of Nick and co.
  8. This! So much! And if she was so powerful why didn't she do anything when Kelly was being killed & beheaded right in front of her? Why would she be so happy to see a father that she spent even less time with than her mother? I want to be done with this show but it's basically in the train wreck category now which pisses me off so much because I used to f**king love this show. I now hate Renard who was transitioning from bad to gray back to bad again because they can't decide what the hell to do with the character. He was so on board with making nice with the Grimm and his allies and now he's luring Adalind out in the dead of night and ambushing her to help his cause. Poor Monroe is used as a guinea pig again which irritated the crap out of me when they all looked his way. Hasn't he done enough? What happened to Nick and Hank figuring out a way to flush out the Wesen of the week without Monrosalee doing most of the work for them? Furthermore I'm just done with JuliEve because..no. Still can't get behind that reasoning; just no. Adalind and Nick aren't even the worst part of the show anymore because there's so much worse going on than the mess that is her and Nick which is surprising for me. What the hell??!!!
  9. So, while I'm not an avid poster I'm still an avid watcher despite the dreck that this show has been as of late. I'm saddened by the way things are going; they're throwing everything into the pot instead of fleshing out the plots that have potential. As other posters have said after all of the angst that the witch hat spell had the first go round what made Juliette/Eve think that things would go smoothly because she undertook the task? I guess since she's supposedly "all powerful" it should have been smooth sailing. It will only make Renard suspicious because he's going to be clued in that somethings going on after he's questioned on all of the things that he supposedly said and did while he obviously wasn't present. Which will bring up the early seasons animosity against Nick and Co. which has already begin to rekindle. I wish the showrunners would decide if Renard is in with the good guys or bad already; after 5 seasons pick have him pick a side already. I'm also annoyed that despite their mutual distrust Adalind hasn't told Nick about meeting with Renard. Why wouldn't she tell Nick when she she obviously knows that he would have a better chance at retrieving Diana than Renard will? I don't have any love for her character but at least she was interesting and somewhat strategic in the past. *sigh* Why am I still watching?
  10. The X Files may have co leads but the heart of the show and the main story lines (at least in the show's infancy) revolved around Fox Mulder. While he may have had an occasional love interest they never created a character or plot that detracted from the point of the show. Even after the movies emerged and it was obvious that Scully was going to be the love interest it still didn't detract from the heart of the show. I mentioned Supernatural because the genre is similar. Again there are co-leads but they each have their own character arcs which may or may not include a love interest but ultimately doesn't assassinate the characters as a whole. Nick Burkhardt just isn't as awesome as he used to be.
  11. I'll concede that this episode was less of a drag than last week but I'm still underwhelmed by the Black Claw story line. On a superficial note the Eve speak/see/hear no evil torture scene was kinda cool. Also, while I've been hoping for a Meisner/Adalind pairing to avoid seeing her with Nick I'm starting to hope that they throw some of that hotness Trubel's way. They seem to have chemistry and she needs something to flesh her out beyond only being a Grimm/Soldier.
  12. OtterMommy I truly would prefer it if Nick had no love interest and we could just see him as a Grimm with his cohorts. Look at similar shows like The X-Files or Supernatural; attractive male leads that may have a love interest on an ep or two but nothing that detracts from the characters or story line. It doesn't make the show any less intriguing. I used to love Grimm and now I have a hard time watching the eps on my DVR.
  13. So I was discussing the most recent ep with my boss and one of my male coworkers today and it became clear to me that the fans are the ones that are encouraging the writers to stay on this sucky path. For example my boss: "I'm interested to see where they go with the Eve storyline; Juliette is more interesting this way! Nick/Adalind, blech!" My coworker: "Black Claw seems interesting but Juliette still sucks. Nick/Adalind, yay! She's hotter than Juliette." Most of the boards I've been on have been divided this way; the powers that be most likely think that the viewers will be hooked no matter what they do.
  14. So I wish I could say that I liked tonight's episode but unfortunately it sucked big donkey balls. *sigh* Plot was a snore, Juliette is still boring even as the big, bad, powerful Wesen killing machine *snort* and everything else was a blur. At least they could have given us a shirtless Renard to make up for this dreck *shakes angry fist*
  15. Okay now that I've had time to breathe a bit I have to say that I'm frustrated with this episode. Wesen Revolution crap aside because that's not what anyone is caring about after this ep WTF with the Juliette resurrection??!!! To quote Pet Sematary "sometimes dead is better!!". Please understand I don't want a Nick/Adalind romance; a cordial parental relationship will be palatable. However, on this show, the return of Juliette will only mean angsty love triangle which I absolutely don't want to see. Screw this; I'm gonna wait for my X-Files reboot and curl up with my pretty Wincesters *pouts*
  16. Juliette??!!!??? Arggghhhh!!! *deep breath* Yay more Trubel! Nothing more to say right now...*violent sobbing* Editing to add that I'd (almost) prefer a Nick/Adalind happy family crapfest than more of Bitsie's non-acting. *F$!!!*
  17. To be honest that's exactly what that looks like to me. It's doesn't look remotely sexual or intimate to me. Wishful thinking? Could be *shrugs*
  18. The last five minutes with Nick & Meisner kicking ass were AWESOME!!! And the chemistry with Adalind & Meisner is still off the charts. If we get to see more ass kicking & Adalind/Meisner cozying up as opposed to Nick/Adalind this season may turn out okay *1 thumb up* (only one because of the lame Rat King ). Well, maybe 2 thumbs for showing a Grimm's eyes from a Wesen's point of view.
  19. Well Trubel doesn't seem to be looking at Adalind with any fondness so there's that I suppose. I recognize the actor in the 1st photo as someone I enjoyed in Scrubs so that's a plus .
  20. Ottermommy I have to agree that this is the only reason why I'm not completely on board with the Nick/Adalind pairing. She's definitely done some terrible things; in the beginning most were at the behest of Renard. The show is definitely trying to gloss over the fact that Adalind raped Nick because Viktor told her to "depower" the Grimm before she could get Diana back. Despite her reasons for doing it I can't get past the stricken, horrified look on Nick's face after Monrosalee's wedding when he realized what happened and who made it happen. I actually teared up at the look on his face & was furious that Juliette saw it as cheating instead of recognizing what had happened to him. I'm waiting out this redemption story because I'm hoping that there will be a confrontation scene where Nick blasts Adalind for what she did to him. If that happens I can be more accepting because despite myself I actually enjoy "good" Adalind. She makes a better good guy than the bumbling villian that she was.
  21. Oh yeah; they did say that didn't they..
  22. Ottermommy I tend to watch shows til the bitter end just to see how things end up. Towards the end of the X Files I wondered where my favorite show had gone but like a car wreck I had to see what transpired. Luckily it gets a chance to redeem itself with the reboot which Grimm sorely needs right now *sigh*
  23. I'm wondering about this also. I hoped that Meisner would ally with Nick since he knows he was in the warehouse with Chavez & has her phone as well as working under Renard. However, due to what we've seen them doing to Truble I'm not sure he's someone Nick would want to be in alliance with. I hope she's not there under duress as a part of a trap for Nick.
  24. This ep was verrryyy tedious. I didn't care about any of the characters in the main storyline; the most exciting part of the ep was when Truble appeared (yay!!). I'm still neutral on Nick and Adalind; I like them as individual characters but I'm not sold on them as a couple which is obviously where they're headed. My passiveness towards Adalind is largely in part to my boredom when Juliette is on screen.
