Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck

Debates are healthy! FWIW in regards to my response I didn't feel insulted; it was partially my knee jerk reaction to defend Dean (and Jensen). -

I actually thought that Dean's behavior towards Dr. Sexy was more in a " he's so awesome" fanboy kind of way. In Changing Channels he seemed somewhat awestruck at all of the characters that they encountered but his Dr. Sexy reaction was more like idol worship to me. Yes! This was my point also. -

Yes I'm partially referring to posts I've read online from fans stating that Jensen was homophobic for saying that Destiel didn't exist and also from posts reacting to his stating that Dean was just a fan of Dr. Sexy and that he wasn't crushing on him. I feel that calling him homophobic ( not referring to you! ) in response to his statement on how he portrays his character is unfair. My response to your post was because you stated that Jensen wasn't doing himself any favors in his portrayal; I felt that you were criticizing him in the same vein as I've seen in other posts ( not here! ) So much agreement to this. There's no reason to confront the actors at the cons with what the fans feel should be on screen. -

Agree so much. Dean's idolization of Dr. Sexy isn't so different from my love for Dana Scully. She's awesome, badass and sexy but that doesn't mean I feel attraction when I watch The X-Files. -

Age means nothing. He'll always be beautiful! :) -

But demons and Hell were present from the beginning of the series which makes it logical to introduce the Devil, Angels and God. You can't have one without the other. Or were you saying that you would rather the religious overtones be absent from the overall storyline? If that was the case then my bad :( -

People will interpret how the scene comes across in different ways which is why Destiel and Wincest fans may see one thing while Jensen may intend to portray another. I don't think it's fair to throw shade to the actor if the fan sees something other than what they're trying to bring to the screen. Also, it's very likely that he was trying to come across as a Dr. Sexy superfan and it was taken differently by fans that wished to see evidence of Bi Dean. JMO of course; YMMV. -

Benny served his purpose in the Purgatory storyline in which he was introduced but there would be no reason to bring him back at this point. If they bring back any supernatural being at this point it had better be Death! -
You're very welcome! I'm building my DVD collection; I have seasons 9-11 to go :)

I loved Colin Ford. He was an improvement over the actor playing mini-Sam in Something Wicked.
-
I think he was so stunned in that instance by the fact that she was working with the people that kidnapped and tortured them that he didn't focus on whatever else was being said.
-
You know now that I think about it what happened to all of the Angels that backed him in Stairway to Heaven? I know that they left him after he refused to kill Dean in regards to their belief that he killed Tessa. That being said after he ultimately exposed Metatron on the intercom in Heaven and they were able to see the truth shouldn't he be given credit for that? It just seems that they cling to all of the bad and act as though everything he's done to right his wrongs are meaningless.
-
Yes of course some of them should be wary of him but it's still ridiculous that they all show such disdain for him. Besides Hannah and Balthazar have any actually been kind towards him? I'm honestly curious because I can't think of any.

There's been no significant dialogue between any of the principal characters about anything that actually matters so far this season IMO. Everything seems to be centered on the Luci spawn, the BMOL and the next case. The most we've gotten was Jody touching on what Dean might be feeling in the Asa Fox ep which is why seeing the actual conversation instead of a music montage at the end would have made more sense.

This scene was very sad to me because Sam has been trying so hard to keep the peace by avoiding any talk that could potentially push Mary away while continually justifying her need for distance to Dean. His words coupled with the look of disappointment on his face was indeed heartbreaking.

I miss the days when Castiel's brothers and sisters actually treated him as such instead of like a leper whenever he encounters them. Overall I'm just tired of Cas the Sad Sack. Give him something to do besides look sad and get beaten up!
-
I miss the days when a demon just seeing Cas in the room would be enough to make them nervous. Nowadays it just makes them eager to attack and they always get the upper hand.
-
They've been depowering him little by little since season 8 it seems. Bad ass Castiel seems to be forever gone now :(
-
That was his reaction to seeing him when he appeared in season 6. In season 9 when Abbadon brought him into the present Crowley was softened up from his human blood addiction and actually seemed to care for him a bit.
-
And it you watch Grimm they did the same with Diana the all powerful Hexenbiest baby. Works for me!
-
This makes me think that Mr. Ketch will be the one to kill the baby. Once the BMOL's get wind of it I can't imagine that they'll let it go. Or do they already know about it? I can't recall it they do..
-
Since the Gavin that Bobby summoned hated his father and the Gavin that was brought into the present was able to make peace with him wouldn't it that alter the events of Weekend at Bobby's? Hmmm.......
-
Me too. I'm just sticking around to see how (if) things are wrapped up.
-
Ugh; I sure hope not. What a way to go ending a lackluster two seasons with a depressing ending. Which would probably end with a flashback to the future with baby Kelly taking up the mantle as Portland's new Grimm :(
-
Agreed. They have too many unfinished storylines going to add in the idiotic love triangle angle. We still don't know all there is to know about the stick, the symbols on the cloth, what remains of Black Claw, the Death Grip and wherever the hell Truble is with what's left of HW. I could care less who Nick is sleeping with at the end of the series or the filler Wesen of the Week stories. Wrap things up with some answers.
