  1. Haha Abed and Monica were on my short list. Gotta think of a good one that doesn't have them now... My team: Jane from Happy Endings and Jake and Amy from Brooklyn Nine Nine.
  2. Ok here's my pitch: we re-tool Undercover Bosses so it's just things like the CEO of Apple or Nike trying to work in one of their factories and they don't fit in because they aren't Chinese children.
  3. @profreader you, sir or madam, are a genius :D
  4. Mo 2/6: Ron Funches, Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk: not as fun as I'd hoped. Also, it made me watch the first episode of Powerless, which in my mind was cancelled before the end of the first episode. Mo 2/13: Kyle Kinane, Tom Lennon, Milana Vayntrub: solid; looking forward to it. Th 2/16: Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart, Mamrie Hart: (swoon) (esp mamrie)
  5. Well we're on the same page there. My point about him not having the time to watch like he did before was meant to point out that his "embracing" of the Doctor Who knowledge is disingenuous at this point in his life.
  6. These are bleak times but I have a small hope that Trump becomes the first President trolled out of office.
  7. Well someone fucked up and Chris didn't notice, whatever the reason.
  8. Also, as for Melissa McCarthy playing Spicer, I won't rest until all four female Ghostbusters are playing Trump advisers/cabinet members.
  9. Does this mean my new screenplay for an uproarious comedy called "Woops My Beard Is Married" is not believable?
  10. I don't get the hate for the Weekend Update anchors. Jost and Che aren't the best at it but I don't think either of them are bad. If a new team came along that blew them away I'd say "go for it" but I'm not actively hoping they go away. I agree that Jost is a little more polished than Che, but I like that dynamic. I think Che is a really good comedian even if I don't always agree with his points, some of which are facile at times.
  11. I don't doubt Chris's genuine love for Doctor Who and geek culture, but I can't imagine he has the time to watch stuff like he did when he was younger.
  12. This was a fun episode, if a bit messy. I've always heard good things about Stewart post-Twilight and she didn't disappoint. Comedy obviously isn't her thing but the monologue was amazing and she seemed game for whatever the writers threw at her like the reverse mohawk wig.
  13. you forgot Cisco: "Ooh girl! You done did it now!" :D
  14. Hahahaha at the KLF intro music!
  15. The part where they bring on someone to do a bit is always unfunny. Now where's my "angry troll" emote....
  16. Fart-scape "in space no-one can hear you fart" #spaaaaaace
  17. I thought it was a fun episode. I've given up nitpicking anything I don't like about the show and just kind of enjoy it for what it is. Best line of the episode? "Start the car!" (even though Mon El probs wouldn't have known to say that)
  18. In this scripted historical recreation, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton pits a northern state business against a southern plantation owner and just as it looks like the southern plantation owner is going to win based on profit margin Hamilton asks "but what if you had to pay your workers instead of using slaves" and fires them with an impromptu freestyle rap rather than using a catch phrase.
  19. I also love Chelsea Peretti's stuff outside of B99 so it's bothered me for a long time that I couldn't quite put my finger on what bothered me about Gina. I like Peretti; I don't like Gina. But why? The other day it struck me during an I-have-insomnia binge watch that the problem was that Gina's successes are rarely earned. There's a deus ex machina quality to every Gina story that makes her character border on 50% spank bank, 50% Mary Sue depending on the inclination of the writer.
  20. I may be late to the party but I just learned today that this scene was scripted word for word. I'd always thought it was exaggerated for parody.
  21. Ah I didn't know their ages so I thought they were further apart.
  22. But we were all set for a previously.tv spinoff of The Man in the High Castle :(
  23. I don't know the ages of the actors but this seems kinda squick to me.
