  1. "Get off your ass, Alan Alda!"
  2. Hardwick doesn't need us to hear complaints about the show - he's got Twitter :D
  3. Happy Endings: The Next Generation - an update of the original; for years to come fans argue over who was the better "Penny," Casey Wilson or the Shakespearean actor that plays her in TNG Happy Endings: Deep South Nine - pitched to the network as "Happy Endings meets Designing Women" many fans were upset with the changes to the basic Happy Endings tropes but the smartest fans agree this was the best show; on the other hand writer Ronald D. Moore feels frustrated by not being able to change the show enough and eventually goes on to do a gritty re-imagining of Three's Company Happy Endings: Voyaging - to appease fans this show was created with the same structure of "six friends from Chicago;" in the first episode they join a reality show called Voyaging which has them driving Max's limo from Siberia to Lisbon Happy Endings: Endingprise - a prequel that goes on long enough to fuck with everyone's sense of continuity within the Happy Endings Extended Universe (HEEU); @David T. Cole gets a kick out of the fact that one actor's last name rhymes with Frankenstein instead of Dracula Happy Endings: Discovery - only time will tell...
  4. Whenever I'm owning one of my faults Penny's line from my fave episode of Happy Endings comes to mind: "I have helmet." @Tara Ariano <-- turned me on to that show back in the day :)
  5. I loved the movie and a lot of this looks like a re-telling of it. I hope they don't spend the whole season covering what was already told but I'll def hang in to see where it goes after it's done with that.
  6. She's always a treat when she shows up in something these days - like when she played Detective Chance Briggs' ex on Childrens Hospital :D Casey Wilson was *born* to play Penny in Happy Endings. I liked her on SNL but I'm kinda glad she got the boot if it meant we got that short-lived show. Glad's not the right word. In any case I hope we hear from her again. She's hilarious.
  7. The Chainsmokers are pretty much d-bags who are trolling their fans. Just watched Clown Service, and yes I totally agree. I was already pretty underwhelmed by CK's monologue and his "why doesn't privilege work for me" bit, then seeing this just made me sad. I love that when Bayer does her thing like that. She gets the perfect expression which goes from realizing someone insulted her to slightly putting her head down and to the side while averting eye contact.
  8. Ryan Murphy to make TV show out of NPR gameshow but make it his own: Wait Wait... Don't Kill Me! Different Ryan Murphy regulars appear on a three person panel each week to answer questions about campy pop culture past and present.
  9. Another Futurama/Bubblegum Tate one I use when food tastes good: "Soylent Green is my kind of people."
  10. Marge: Well, I guess Macy's and Gimbels learned to live side by side. Agnes: Gimbels is gone, Marge. Long gone. You're Gimbels.
  11. ugh so glad I don't watch it when it airs - I watch it next day on CC's website.
  12. @April Bloodgate stop raiding my DVR :D A phrase I say whenever something mildly controversial happens: "hello lawsuit"
  13. Heh I like the idea of Forge, though Hawley himself implied it's something deployed by D3. As for the Mojo theories, they all stem from the fact that in the first episode of Legion there was a shot of SK that looked a little like Mojo. There's nothing indicating Mojo about that sphere whatsoever.
  14. Sasheer's new special came out on Seeso yesterday. Watching it now. Pretty funny so far.
  15. She'll always be Janet Snakehole to me :D
  16. heh reminds me of my thoughts having followed Hardwick over the years: when Legendary buys Nerdist "illuminati suspected" when Chris Marries Lydia Hearst "illuminati confirmed"
  17. Subbed to that just now. Thanks
  18. I was happy to see Moshe point out the "class warfare" thing, even jokingly. The one aspect of the show that's made me feel uncomfortable recently is when Hardwick, who has a net worth of ~$10 million, makes fun of people on a much lower economic scale. The show was funny, and I don't mind Benson winning, though I'm sure he'll be insufferable about it. Did anyone else think the comedians dropped the ball when Chris mentioned that gymnast farting? Someone should have repeated Doug's "fwa-fwa-fwa."
  19. I can't believe I typed "you're." #fail
  20. I'm confused, you're post in the other thread says Paul F is coming back:
