  1. See above in this thread. They have performed together, he’s been a family friend since she was a pre-teen, and he basically recruited her to be on the show. It’s kind of ridiculous.
  2. This is as much a popularity contest as a dance competition, honestly, so I don’t understand the point in getting bent out of shape because we don’t all like the same thing or the same people. I don’t like Charli. Is she a good dancer? Sure. But IF this show was actually about taking a celebrity who is an amateur dancer and turning them into a confident and competent dancer, Charli shouldn’t be competing. I also find her connection to Derek to be unfair, if this was honestly about turning a celebrity into a dancer. And TikTok-ers and Bachelor(ette) contestants aren’t celebrities, either, in my book. So maybe the show should stop being a competitive one and turn it into just a showcase, and call itself “Dancing With People You May or May Not Have Heard Of or Give a Damn About…Now Without the Stress of Voting!” It’s completely obvious they want Daniel and Trevor gone, with their low scores. I’m sad about that, for Trevor especially. I don’t think he’s a win-worthy contestant, but he tries, he’s improved immensely, he has a wonderful attitude, and he seems to be having a great time.
  3. I find myself distracted from the story by her numerous and inappropriate clothing choices! She visits the crime scene in a flowered, ruffled mini-dress more appropriate for a dinner out or dancing, and has a half dozen or so outfit changes in every episode she does. She also lacks the tone of Josh or Keith, where you can tell they just don’t buy the bullshit their interviewee is trying to sell. Something in her voice is just too…soft, too “oh, wow…that’s amazing!” to seem like she’s reporting on a crime. And it’s not because she’s a woman. Fatima Silva of “Reasonable Doubt”, Maureen Maher, and many other women have had the right tone of voice and the lack of vanity to do what Andrea Canning tries to do. (Granted, Silva IS an attorney, not a reporter.). I just feel like AC is there to lure in the casual male viewer.
  4. Thank God they put all of us…Heidi included!…out of our collective misery tonight. I have never seen anyone so utterly joyless in my life. Is it the Botox, or is she really just a sour bitch?
  5. And did you see Charli’s FACE when Len called her out on a mistake?? I thought she was going to slice him in two on the spot! Then of course Mark had to jump in and say, “Oh, no…precious girl didn’t goof, I did!!” She also looked royally pissed to be the last one called safe. I would be thrilled if she and her RBF mother were bottom three!
  6. Heidi is safe and looks pissed off, while Jordin is going home and is jumping for joy and beaming. Heidi can leave yesterday. Dammit, Len!
  7. I wish for a shocking Charli boot, but since we’re stuck with her til the end, can the judges at least stop fawning all over her?? She is a trained dancer!!!! I want true amateur dancers, and by the way, true “celebrities”. Ugh.
  8. I actually liked Joseph, and I’m sorry he’s going. Heidi would have been no great loss, and neither would several others.
  9. Tyra drives me crazy. She’s not the cute young model she thinks she still is. She’s still beautiful, but her personality sucks so much that it ruins everything else about her. They need to stop having Charli behind her mother when her mother is being interviewed by Alfonso. The constant mugging makes me like her even less than I’m already predisposed to. I wish she’d be a shocking boot SOON!
  10. Okay, I love the twins! How impressive are they! Dom and Sharik are both just exhausting.
  11. Rainbow Brite is really going to just peace out without even trying? Talk about ignorant…surely she should be able to figure out that all those perfectly identical sculptures didn’t come from these people’s hands.
  12. I think they’re obviously guilty, of course. But, I also don’t necessarily believe that their free-wheeling spending after the murders indicates that they did it for any kind of “let’s get Dad’s and Mom’s money!” reason. I think they’d been under their parents’ thumbs so long they went a bit crazy with their freedom. I think they should have served time, definitely…but I’m just not 100% sure they still should be.
  13. I’m such a cranky old bitch that I will vote for ANYONE but a D-list, internet-famous “celebrity”. I mean, at least Shangela competed on a show that required some skill. I’m sick of Tik-Tok-ers, Bachelorette contestants, and the like.
  14. I’ll join the people on the bench who actually enjoy the show. It’s not original L&O, for me, it’s a new show. And it’s fine. Not perfect, but original L&O wasn’t always perfect, either. My biggest takeaway from this episode was that apparently uniformed police officers enter an active crime scene and stand around gaping. The attorney takes off his tie and makes a tourniquet for a victim’s leg, while the cop in the background leans against a subway door observing the carnage. Never saw a cop checking a pulse, assisting a victim, or doing anything really. What was up with that? Bad writing? Bias?
  15. Mehcad Brooks is hella hot! I approve this addition to the Law & Order universe. He could possibly make me forget Jesse L. Martin.
  16. I’m just now getting to this and am only up to Daniel’s dance. Good for him, and his moms are great! I was already in this for Wayne Brady, Selma Blair, and Shangela, so I’m going to happily add him in.
  17. I missed what Cody’s paper said…can someone fill me in or screenshot it? Please?? People always seem to need me when I am watching Survivor!
  18. Because it must be said, you are not horrible parents if you have a gay child. You are horrible parents if you reject your gay child.
  19. I was surprised to see Poppy in the bottom as well, but aside from her opening volley with Ru, her Snatch Game didn’t really land. I am going to be upset if anyone but Poppy wins this at this point, since AJ has been the most consistently good all season long.
  20. Will might be okay, but Abby is already on my last nerve.
  21. I actually don’t actively dislike anyone yet.
  22. I agree. I don’t know what they’re really looking for, or what they’re looking at when they talk about the high level of talent. I’m just not seeing it.
  23. Does that mean we have to see Shangela and Vanjie again, though? Because they’re hardly “one and done” queens.
