  1. A Lili St Cyr original suitable for your local princess or the Olympics! I don't understand what Hester is on about most of the time...I kinda get the gist of it but then they lose me. And I liked their collection in that season. Is their explanations are just lacking some cohesion maybe?
  2. Oh I so don't agree with that - Anna should be gone baby gone. She and Brittany designed a sad dress that was the color of my lampshade. I can glue glitter all over my lampshade, it's still a lampshade. Congrats to Korto and Prajje - now that was a yes Queen moment when their model turned the corner. She owned that runway, and that dress and coat/overlay was to die for. I want that fabric. That's what I want, fashion that takes my breath away. I'm sorry Victor!
  3. Yup, me too, but the bottom was dark blue bandana print. I wore it to see Dwight Yoakum open for the Violent Femmes at the Aragon Ballroom. Good times seeing bands back in the 80's. That guide about dressing yourself and then taking one thing off so you look better? I bet she adds more. She needs to take off every bit of crap jewelry, vest, caps, and scrub off all the make up. Then she'd look like the modest person she thinks she is.
  4. Gut punch is very apt. I really enjoyed him in so many movies, it's time to watch Prince Of The City again, and The Phantom, which has always been one of my guilty pleasure films. What a shame.
  5. I'm enjoying the level of cooking in this finale for sure. Just sad knowing that it's Padma's last go around with Top Chef. She's been an excellent host. Sara's undercooked meal is going to def work against her. I'm kinda pulling for Gabri since while I appreciate Buddha, his cooking is so precise it's almost...boring? Maybe that's not the right word.
  6. It's one thing to be provocative and sexy and dangerous. That's a great combination of elements for a show, especially if you have the acting, writing, and directing also in line and all the working parts are in sync. This show isn't an example of that. I doubt I'll be back for seconds.
  7. This is a nice final group, while I'm rooting for the gorgeous Aussie anybody could win this and I'd be happy. Well...maybe except for the Pekingese, that poor pooch looks like Roomba with a bad wig.
  8. I'm so so happy the show is back - it's my happy place show before the crappy work week starts. A friend actually caught some of the filming of this season near her home so I'm waiting for what she saw to appear on the screen.
  9. Dang! Hand out awards all around, that was some of the best work I've seen in a long long while. Any episode where I feel empathy for Shiv, Roman, and Kendall it's gotta be one of the signs of the apocalypse. That is definitely one I'm going to have to watch over a couple more times.
  10. A lovely Easter to all who celebrate!
  11. I tend to think that someone handling her online presence hit the share button by accident. I've done that more than once. Same with all the Riseborough kerfluffle, there was a lot of sharing without a lot of shall we say thought process. Not saying she didn't deserve a nomination mind you, just saying that the staff working behind was doing overtime on that.
  12. I was so hoping the donkey would pee all over Jimmy's shoes. Love that Ruth won, she truly deserved the award. It takes a lot of imagination and research to come up with those costumes
  13. I'm catching up...Jamie Lee is a class act. Looks great, great performance, and great speech.
  14. Wow...they found him guilty...I've been watching the trial and honestly I am thrilled but I thought we'd end up a hung jury.
  15. I sure hope that either or both NF and HBO follow up on this. There's just something so shady about all of it - I think Alex and his lawyers have all had a hand in the client cookie jar. I hope that the scope of the financial wrongdoing includes taking a look at all of them. Frankly after watching both series it gave me enough insight into Alex that I'm pretty sure he either did it, or hired someone to do it.
  16. Raquel was a hard working actress, who was way more talented than one would expect. I like her westerns best, especially 100 Rifles and Hannie Caulder. I've heard stories that she was difficult to work with, but I have to wonder if some of that was her insisting fair treatment which wasn't always appreciated at the time.
  17. How awful. I feel so sorry for this girl. No matter how she was raised I think she's got no clue what she's getting into with him. ETA - poor girl will be living in a dinky trailer on her MIL's property. That's getting into horrific territory.
  18. I rather enjoyed this even though as mentioned there were a couple of plot points that I thought 'oh really? nope ain't buying that'. Casting was pretty right on, I'll watch anything with Ciaran and the more I see of Charlie Cox the more I like him.
  19. I really really really hate The Impossible Dream, but if Jason wants to skate to it, that's okay. Lovely performance.
  20. Amen to all of this. Jumps are great, quads are fine and all - but I find skaters that have the gift of really feeling the music are the most beautiful to watch. Seeing Jason Brown over the years with his gains in artistry and his joy of skating is such a treasure and a gift to the viewers.
  21. I am really gonna hate telling my husband about Croz. He's a huge fan of CSN, CSNY, Byrds, and so much of the Laurel Canyon sounds. His recent work on Lighthouse is so good. I can strongly recommend the documentary about him called Remember My Name. Wow...the hits just keep on comin'...and not in a good way.
  22. All that salt...just looking at it makes me want to take extra blood pressure pills.
  23. I was just checking this thread out and was taken aback by reading this. He was one of my fave character actors and there's so many films/series that he was in. Very sweet man IRL, I got to chat with him online a few times and he was just wonderful, and really loved his acting craft and spoke so kindly of his fellow actors/actresses and others in the industry. A loss for sure.
  24. The first time I watched it I kind of mind wandered off in the middle...and by the end I thought what the hell? It did make me want to come back though, and during the second time with it I got way more out if it. Sometimes films like this you have to relax yourself into the story and action and let it's magic really work it's way over you. Now it's my fave film of the year.
