I was unspoiled, but I thought that was insanely obvious. As soon as Jessie and Lee had the "What do you think?" conversation, all I could think was "Well gee, I wonder how the movie will end?"

I've enjoyed the first two episodes. I'm interested to see where it goes. I noticed the woman had a copy of "The Zombie Survival Guide" on her bookshelf. Or a lawyer friendly version anyway. Also, I looked it up and Manga spoilers:

I know it's probably the editing as the judging takes a couple of hours, but sometimes it really does seem like they are looking for a reason to get rid of somebody. I mentioned this last week, but it continues to amuse me that for all "You could win $75000!", the total after 3 episodes is only $3000 higher than 3 normal episodes.

1. I've always thought "You know what this show needs? More people commenting on what each chef is doing." 2. I completely agree that this format is stupid. There is absolutely no benefit to being in the early rounds. It would have made sense if the winner of each round gets 1/5 of the final pot. So there would be an advantage to being in the competition longer. I did the math, .25^x, to determine their chances of winning, first round has a 0.098%, second round has a 0.39%, third round 1.56%, fourth 6.25%, and fifth obviously a 25%. Edit: I just finished watching the second episode and I think it's funny that for all emphasis on spinning the wheel, the total is only $1000 higher than two regular episodes.

I thought this was the weakest episode of the week. Greenfield seemed like he didn't even want to be there and I found Hoffman to be obnoxious. Overall, I'm liking the show. I think Taylor is doing a good job as host. I will say that don't know if the show needs to be an hour long. I think it can start to drag at times, but I'm going to stick with it for now.

Alvin lived. Zooey mentioned he's on a morphine drip and what's her face said how he nearly bounced into eternity. So, is Sarah Levy busy on something else? Did she sign on to another project during the period the show cancelled or is she taking some time off because she had a baby?

Right? That was a lot of blood. Although four went missing and only 3 were shown at the end. According to this article, there are 10 episodes this season.

There was a quick line about how she would only allow Joshua to kill her. The implication being she was deactivating any weapon they tried to use to kill her. Now why they couldn't just bash her head in with a sledgehammer or an axe or something. I thought visually the movie was excellent, but the story was very cliche. I also felt it was very poorly edited. I thought there were times that left me wondering "Wait, how did they get from where they were to where they are now?" And there were other times where I thought scenes could have trimmed. Also, one of the largest cities in the US is attacked. In response the US goes to war against an enemy that is being sheltered and supported by East Asian governments. Combat is asymmetrical, relying heavily on special forces raids and drone strikes with blase attitude towards collateral damage. I can't imagine what that could possibly be an allegory to.

I understand why they did this way, but do people who live in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio actually consider themselves living in the "North"?

Bob's Grandfather was shown to be in the Navy. By 1941, the US was unofficially in the war in the Atlantic. Navy ships were escorting convoys and patrolling as far as Iceland and were alerting Canadian and British of any U-Boat sightings. In April of 41 the USS Niblack dropped depth charges on a U-Boat while rescuing survivors of a torpedoed ship. In October, the USS Kearny and the USS Ruben James were torpedoed. The Ruben James sunk. So saying he was in the war may not have been completely inaccurate.

They always add more equipment if the terms of the contest require a certain method of preparation.

I think this was the first time that time expired while the chef was being treated. There have other times where they had so little time it didn't matter. I can't remember the episode, but there was one where the chef's entire station was contaminated, so he had to effectively start over with only a few minutes left. Edit: Episode was "Cauliflower Power" aired July 21, 2020. Edit 2: This got me curious so I looked through the episode guide. This is the second time this happened. First was in the episode "Want a Gnocchi Sandwich?" that aired September 29, 2020.

I was sick of Braunda after a few minutes. Glad she was the first one gone.

A nice episode. I'll miss Trevor. Not sure about some of the guest hosts, but I'll wait and see. Ronny almost fell off the desk after he was standing on it.

He left over a year ago, November 2021. IIRC there was no "Goodbye moment", so it was really easy to miss that he left the show.

I liked the continuity with Bob and Linda having smart phones. Their old flip phones were destroyed in the movie.
