She said something like (not verbatim; I didn’t re-watch): “I’ll tell you a secret. I use milk instead of water. Buttermilk’s even better.” Then she got the bottle of buttermilk out of the fridge.

I’m enjoying it, too. I tuned in mostly for Rahul Kohli, on whom I had an inappropriate crush during iZombie, but the investigation is holding my interest.

Yes, I’m watching Veep nearly 10 years too late, but, in case anyone who enjoyed Sally Phillips sees this, she also has a recurring role as Miranda’s friend on Miranda (currently available on Tubi).

S35.E08: A Planes, Trains and Automobiles Day
Babalu06 replied to Whimsy's topic in The Amazing Race
Urgh. Edited because @iMonrey’s quote (1st paragraph below) didn’t show up in the quote box *and* the incorrect video embedded. ************* Greg and John keep saying "It's what we do!" every time they celebrate finishing a task or winning a leg. I guess it's their catchphrase. ************* I don’t know if this is what Greg and John were referring to, but I immediately thought of this: -
When I was in India many years ago, we called them motorized rickshaws, but they’re also called auto rickshaws or just rickshaws or tuk tuks.

Since that Bulgarian word means both coffin and ark, why the hell did Marco draw a coffin when he meant ark?????

I don’t know if Trevor’s skills have increased. I tend to think his communication is still painstaking but, since Sam and Jay moved in, he has access to better means (mobile phones, computers) and more motivation (establishing a relationship with Jay’s sister, saving Sam from the vault). But he could be getting better with practice, too!

My thoughts, verbatim, as soon as he said that. (I live in Oberlin.)

I’ve gotta check my reading comprehension. Also, I didn’t mean to imply you didn’t know it was the same actor, just that the actor is so versatile that he plays a character you love and a character you dislike. (I didn’t understand before that you didn’t like how the character is being used.) I do agree with you that Thomas is my least favorite ghost, and it has caused me to dislike the actor. I was dismayed that, of all the U.K. actors, he was the one to appear in the U.S. version. I also agree that Robin is my favorite, though it took me quite a while to realize it. What really sold me was the improv lesson (“Yes, and….no.”) Mary has become my second favorite.

Cast in Other Roles: Who were you in a past life?
Babalu06 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Ghosts (US)
I’m belatedly watching Succession and Asher Grodman (Trevor) was in the latest episode I saw (S2, E3; “Hunting”) playing an investigator for the Roy family named Sam a.k.a. Ratfucker Sam. He had no dialogue but simultaneously displayed blandness and a vague menace. I’d read in interviews posted by some of you that he was very intimidated when he was cast in Ghosts because he’d had no comic experience and was surprised because he seems so natural, but, boy, can he bring the drama, even without saying a word. -

Yay! Laura Benanti is my favorite musical actress! -

Utkarsh Ambudkar was in the first Pitch Perfect movie (sang/rapped) and then had a recurring role as Mindy Haling’s brother in The Mindy Project. -
There really was Civil War gold, at least according to lore. Did it somehow end up in LA in the La Brea universe?

I think I heard them say the woman who plays their neighbor is their producer (or one of their producers).

Single Drunk Female - General Discussion
Babalu06 replied to peachmangosteen's topic in Single Drunk Female
I think it’s included in most basic cable/satellite packages. I have neither, but it is included with my Hulu. It used to be called ABC family and is owned by Disney. -
Elizabeth Debicki was in it, too. (I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s on my watch list. Someone recommended it to me after I’d seen the movie Widows and commented how perfect I thought she’s be as Diana.)

She called herself a “previvor.”

I think, but am not sure, that everybody is going to TC next week, so there will be 12 votes cast, but they can be cast for only one of 5 people. * Assuming Erika “changes history,” those vulnerable will be Danny, DeShawn, Ricard, Evvie, Naseer, and Sydney minus whoever wins immunity at the IC. Of course Naseer’s immunity advantage + Liana’s advantage will likely complicate things. My wish is that Danny/DeShawn win IC. Then Liana can Naseer’s advantage, give it to Danny/DeShawn (whoever doesn’t already have immunity) *so this could reduce the number of people who can receive votes to 4. I’d like Ricard or Sydney to go. Unfortunately, Evvie might be most vulnerable in that situation given Danny’s fear of a women’s alliance and D/D’s thought that Sydney still thinks she’s in an alliance with them so they can use her vote until they don’t need it anymore. Ricard could be in danger, too, though, because Shan doesn’t really trust him any more and might lobby D/D/L to vote for him + D/D know he’s a strong competitor.

Check the last few posts of the PODCAST S1.E1: Pilot thread below. There’s a link, which I didn’t try opening, but maybe the podcasts for Seasons 1 and 2 are still there.

Cool! I can’t quite figure out what’s going on with the tour(s) now, but before they shut down, there were 3 in the U.S. - the Philip tour, the Angelica tour, and the And Peggy tour. Neil Haskell had become King George in the Philip tour, but if there’s only one now, I don’t know whether he’s still in it. (He was in the ensemble when I saw it on Broadway but was not in the movie on Disney+ because he’d left for a featured role in another musical, which closed shortly thereafter. He came back to Broadway, but his absence was right at the time they were filming.)

Oh, @Netfoot, my heart just sank to the bottom of my being for you, and for Buddy, and even for me. I hadn’t realized I’d come to love that mischievous, full-of-life boy. My very deep condolences.
