For the two-hour episodes, I watch the first 5 minutes or so for background, then skip to hour two. They recap so much it's easy to get the gist. Sorry, Dateline, but I don't need all your fluff and pointless misdirection.

Eh. The only real winner this season is Aube.

I mean, yes, people lose weight but Funches was just on a month ago! He looks like he's lost at least 50 pounds since then.

Wonder if the staff even tried to get a replacement for Trump. It's NY, you'd think Regis at least could pop over. -
Season Three: Time to Snuggle Up And Watch Our Couchies!

We should set up an IRC channel and use webcams to watch each other watching people watching TV. :) -
Season Three: Time to Snuggle Up And Watch Our Couchies!

I was trying to remember what reactions I had when I watched this episode myself. I know I didn't cry out when the waitress was shot, or gasp when Culkin was revealed to be in the basement. I'd be a phlegmatic, shitty couchie to watch, is what I'm saying. Kind of like dad Joe with the three daughters. So congrats again to the casting people for getting such a reactive and fun group. Honestly, I would geek out a little if I ever saw any of them IRL. When Teddi asked if they could stop watching now, I was wondering if they could. Probably they just wouldn't get paid. -

Okay, Emerson. I already don't get his haircut but his t-shirts tonight were tragic.I can only assume he's wearing them ironically? Aw, the Zeno and Egbar parents are high school sweethearts. I often wonder if any of the couchies ever watch these shows again of their own volition -- like, is Ayn addicted to The Walking Dead now? Of course Julie is an expert on dead bodies vis a vis freezer burn and odors! Let's all take up a collection to send Lamont and crew to Hawaii and then film them. "It's always the blond that's the ho!" "Perky people don't go to the hospital." "Vagina makes you do some crazy things." I also liked "bloated Matt Damon." -

I snort-chortled at Trevor's attempt to force out the words "Trump was uh, r, um, ri .... not incorrect." -

Rebecca's behavior made me cringe and now I just feel sorry for her. Hey! That's not funny. I fast-fowarded to find the songs. -

As much as Kevin yaks about how much he loves money, he's probably made the least of any of the sharks from his show investments. Seems like what he really adores is the limelight. -
Going out to the power plant was known to be a dangerous mission, right? The engineer guy got killed too, and the townsfolk seemed to take that in stride. Sad to waste one of the few remaining episodes on this nonsensical garbage.

And no lemon parties!

Huh. Kellogg chose himself. Keira chose herself. I don't see why her decision was lauded, supported by her friends, or in any way better than his.

Tampons aren't supposed to be flushed, either, yet most of us do. I've used Cottonelle adult wipes since they first came out more than a decade ago, but put them in the trash instead of flushing (primarily out of concern for stopping up my own plumbing). So the landfill gets the waste instead of the sewer system. Sigh. Given a choice, I would never go back to regular toilet paper. Maybe what we need are reusable, washable wet wipes. Not as gross or without precedent as it sounds -- before disposables, all diapers used to be quickly rinsed off and put in the diaper pail > washer. -
Gawd. Same with two in the pink. Although Chris forces out a pretend laugh every time.

Oh, dear. I got to the part where the mob was raising their metaphorical pitchforks against Nathan for murder while he stood there slack-jawed and mute and I couldn't hang in any longer. Seems like the writers figured a lit bit of everything, jacked up to 11, would be an exciting way to end the series, but it's just coming across as muddled and lazy to me. Reading everyone's comments is better than actually having to watch.

Well, crumb. At least Nolan and Yewll have a spin-off series in my head. Mad adventures they find!

TDS 3.0: Season One Talk
zxy556575 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Daily Show With Trevor Noah (2015-2022)
I like Trevor but want him to start taking more ownership of the desk. So far he's just been pretty much a news anchor reading the teleprompter, and his voice is that of an outsider with no skin in the game. I'd like to see more opinion pieces that represent his convictions. I'm sure he'll grow into it. -

Stephen and the staff should be proud of themselves for this one, I never watched TCR but am enjoying his new blend of political/pop culture satire and variety show. -
I totally had the same ribbed top Kristen was wearing. Never impaled anyone on my windshield while I was wearing it, though. The Selectric was the bomb. You could swap out the typeball and change the font style! Made me dizzy. Okay, then.

I had the same thought! Looked up her age and she's 49. I don't watch the show but figured they must be trying to make her look older for the role. -

I loved the side eye Princella gave Rashawn during the lesbian sex scene on HTGAWM, and Rashawn looking away as if he wasn't watching. Made me snort. "She's Persian!!" "I'm Kim!!??" I don't watch Real Housewives so maybe I'm missing something, but the sympathy/tears for that woman in prison seemed a bit overwrought. Missed the grannies this time. -
Nothing personal, Agee, but that was a huge 22 minute bomb you just laid.

My DVR stopped recording at the start of the new season because they changed the name to @midnight with Chris Hardwick. It's been okay since I reset the season pass. I should probably just do a manual recording and live with the repeats. Mine also keeps recording multiple showings of TDS.
