  1. yeah he had a heart attack or something :( First Matthew Perry, now Tyler Christopher. so sad They seem to be leaving us younger and younger, don't they? I'm not much older than either one of them. Makes you increasingly aware of your own mortality. Molly #46 - Quite possibly one of my all-time favorite GH posts. Do you have all the Molly trading cards? I'll trade you two Molly #12s for one Molly #43. That will complete my set.
  2. From this guy's perspective, there's nothing remotely attractive about Carly. Yes, from a physical standpoint, she's gorgeous. However, her overall attitude, arrogance, entitlement and downright awfulness make the character (not LW) absolutely repugnant. When she smirks, juts out that chin and starts spewing invectives, even the wolves go running for the hills. Nothing even vaguely soft, feminine or alluring about her whatsoever. In other news, after a moment of promise, Austin is back to being a great big zero.
  3. It's also so disingenuous and hypocritical since Cyrus still wants to be a major Mob boss. If TIIC have no real plans for him, I'd like to see JK move over to the Yellowstone Franchise. He'd be a perfect fit with Costner moving on.
  4. Poor Cyrus. Doesn't seem to have any real plan except lurching around Port Chuckles asking for forgiveness from people that he knows he needs to stay away from. My take is deep down inside Cyrus is a very isolated, lonely and insecure man looking for acceptance. Look at how desperately he seeks Laura's approval. if Laura were smart she'd use the neediness to control him. I know she's tried in the past, but now Laura needs to put a little "ummph" into the effort.
  5. Whoa. Pedro Pascal, Mick Jagger, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga in the past two weeks. Looks like SNL is at the point where stunt casting is needed to survive. Other than the Jada skit, there wasn't much "there" there last night.
  6. Very interesting post Luna. Maybe times have changed, but back in the day, seven minutes would get a guy labeled as "Quick Draw McGraw," if you know what I'm saying. But mileage can and does vary. Sadly, at this point, Portia has no redeeming character traits that I can see. Given how far Curtis has fallen maybe they're made for each other.
  7. Martin was pretty chill until he folded like a wet paper bag under Dumbdelore's weak threats. Now he's ruined and I no longer crave Hummingbird Cake. Although with my a1c level, that was probably always a no-no.
  8. Yes, GH's Golden Age! Welcome back Susannah!
  9. I agree. And then she was smiling weird, like she didn’t want the attention off her. Taylor Swift always looks weird to me. Kinda like a Preying Mantis.
  10. So true! I had planned to post the same thing. I grew up in Brooklyn during the 60s and 70s - the Bensonhurst Olivia and Lois reminisce about ceased to exist in the early 1990s. But I guess these writers have no real reference point. In other news, I'm really going to miss the Evil Warden. Her Braid Game was top-notch. If she only knew how to smile, she'd make the cover of Black Hair Magazine, if it still exists. In the 80s and 90s, Anita Baker was on the cover every damn month. But her Hair Game was pretty fierce too.
  11. Actually, the lesser Carlys turn to dust and vanish. As demons have been known to do.
  12. Preach. Overall, their trip was handled well. Man, I'm gonna miss the replacement writers - they are a significant upgrade from the regular crew. Hopefully, some of them stay around. I've a torrent of mixed emotions around Sprina. As I've mentioned before, TA really resembles pictures of my Mom at a comparable age, right down to the skin tone, so the Sprina love scenes have me reaching for the remote. Also, when relieved of the uber-serious, heavy stuff, NC comes across as fun, very charming, and prince-like. It will be interesting to see where the regular writers go with this.
  13. The 3 p.m showing was find. But the show will be preempted on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the MLB wild card games. Ugh. Since my Yankees were eliminated from post-season play a week ago, I'd really rather watch GH, which is really saying something. Wasn't it though? I was thinking the exact same thing! We usually get about two or three of those conversations yearly on GH.
  14. To quote Larry the Cable Guy: "That right there is funny, I don't care who ya are."🤣😂 ETA: Barbie never had so many high-quality accessories.
  15. It's a distinct possibility you will be. The NuMolly Store must be running low on stock by now, and they clearly can't re-purpose the defective returns.
  16. Preach. She's always annoyed me. Other than her love for Trina, Portia doesn't have one redeeming trait that I can see. Yet Tracy gets constantly vilified. Ugh. ETA - Portia's semi-apology to Anna was one of the worst I've ever seen. I personally would rather have the Witch stay mad at me. Anna can be much too compassionate sometimes as with the whole Peter thing.
  17. Yes!!!! The Stadler and Waldorf of Port Chuckles!!!! I'd sign-up for that spin-off any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
  18. People tend to believe what doctors tell them, especially those who don't have a science background. The court-appointed psychiatrist tells Sasha that she needs to take these pills to get better, it's not surprising that she does what she is told. You would think that, but the creation of Google has changed everything. One time I had a very bad reaction to an Rx my Cardiologist prescribed, literally thought I was going to kick the bucket. Googled the pills and found out it had...snake venom derivative in it. Informed my Dr. about it, she kind of giggled and said, " I know, about 10% of all patients have that same reaction." From that point on I've been using the web to research any new meds. At the very least Sasha could have gotten a second opinion and we would have been spared the endless torture porn.
  19. GH hasn't done corporate stories well since any iteration of Edward Q. was alive. It's great that we got the brilliant JE back, but a damn shame the writers don't know what to do with her. So many of the recent S/Ls seem redundant and anti-climatic.
  20. @Sake614 - It may not be anything, actually. I saw something earlier today about televised political courtroom proceedings in GA. Seems like only the Cable News outlets are covering it, thankfully.
  21. Does anyone know if today's show will be pre-empted for a news event?
  22. Original recipe Nik was always my favorite, but...looking at old YT videos, TC actually was rather lumbering. Never noticed that before. Nice catch @30 Helens ETA: Being a guy, I never considered that one or both of the Carlys may be wearing weaves. I always thought LW's Mane of golden, luxurious hair was all hers - it's one of Carly Sr's most re-deeming traits.
  23. I know why Kelly's has become more popular with the Carlys working the Counter now. It's their "Kelly's World-Famous BLT Special - Now with 50% more long blond hairs at no charge!!!!" There's a method to the "no hair nets" madness. Catching up on past episodes, I'm loving Cyrus the Reformer! With all that scenery-chewing on Friday, it's like he's parodying every televangelist that ever lived. Oh, where have you gone, Reverend Ike?
  24. Overall the replacement writers have done a good job, but the Sasha torture porn has gone from unpleasant to plain uncomfortable to watch. At least when Anthony Z. murdered poor, helpless Siobhan McKenna in her hospital bed it was a one-and-done scene. We have to watch Sasha suffer two or three times weekly, not good. Not good at all. On a more positive note, Kristina has become my favorite of the Davis Coven. With the self-esteem issues behind her, Krissy has an upbeat, level-headed personality, plus a very kind face and manner. Seems like the writers agree and we're seeing a lot of her now.
  25. His name is Mason Gatlin which is Austin's mother's maiden name (hence his own name Austin Gatlin Holt), so does anyone remember if Charity Gatlin had a brother that would be Mason's father? Actually, @perkie1968, that was ciarra's comment. To me, when Brick and Sonny were flipping photos like baseball cards I actually did see a familial resemblance between Austin and Mason. And oh, the days of Jimmie Lee Holt - GH really did have some good comedy relief back then.
