  1. Yeah, he definitely views Laura as a worthy adversary now and I hope she doubles down. My theory about Victor's Master Plan is that he intends to re-build the Ice Princess and re-create Mikos's Weather Machine, looking to make a fortune by solving the world's Climate Change problem. That's what that 95 degree December day in PC was all about around a zillion years ago.
  2. I kind of agree, but Laura seems to be a bit of an old-fashioned traditionalist that would take on her husband's surname. SO efficient! Got more done in a single episode than Robert/Anna did in WEEKS! All those adventures so many years ago have made PC's Mayor quite a force to be reckoned with.
  3. Bill often doesn't get enough credit for those qualities because of some of his other, ah, quirks, that turn people off. But he feels like a lot of us probably do - like living in America is like being trapped in a car that's speeding and careening wildly out of control. There's an old novelty song that goes "at 60 miles an hour, you just can't get away." It's frustrating because despite its flaws, I love this country and don't want to leave - even if I could afford to. But if things go the way most pundits expect on Election Day, the Gates of Hell are about to re-open.
  4. Laura Collins for Head of the WSB!!!! Although she appears to be over-qualified at this point.
  5. She doesn't look the same to me, and doesn't have all the treacly, cloying personality traits of the younger version.
  6. Denise Crosby is Liz's mother???? I've been a hard-core Trek fan for over 50 years and did not recognize Tasha Yar! As far as the actor's perma-sneer, she had it as Tasha Yar too. Even when she smiled, it looked forced, painful and unnatural. I think some of that was internal, given what she went through as Bing Crosby's granddaughter, sadly. Re: Anna's current situation, she has no one other than herself to blame. For weeks she and Valentin did almost nothing while Victor was casually strolling around PC, oozing faux charm. Meanwhile, they were pretty sure Vic killed Luke and Valentin knew for a fact that his daddy put a hit out on Laura. It is possible that the two of them (along with Robert) could have nailed Victor before Charlotte (love the SORAS-ing, btw) fell into his clutches. But they are all such passive, lethargic former super-spies (with all due respect to Robert). Aaargh!
  7. Again, why wasn't Josh just cast as Lucky instead of this awful Cody Bell character? JJ is never coming back! It's so mind-boggling. It's even sadder that JJ isn't coming back, IMO. But even legacy characters can be re-cast, like Nicholas (multiple times) and Lulu.
  8. She told Drew that she hated that Virginia didn't change her last name from Benson after Frank left her, so there was no way Carly was going back to Benson. So much ugh. Hey Carly - you're a SPENCER - just like your mom. How about using that name - even though that Legacy Family is even more decimated than the Qs these days. Speaking of Spencers, the re-cast Jeff Weber has a serious Anthony Geary look and mannerisms - is that why he's been cast as a deadbeat dad? I liked that Thursday's and Friday's episodes got back to some "love in the afternoon." It's been a long time. Also, it's starting to look like the mini-moobster will be the one to take Victor down. Of Course. Of Course. (spoken softly, TM Thor Odinson)
  9. That's the worse news I've heard in eons. KT is clearly capable of so much more. If that's the case, she was better off staying at GH. In other news, with the height difference between the actors, Terry and Liz came off looking like mother and daughter yesterday.
  10. Well, Anna and Valentin finally did it - they got my Lucy shot (although she did refuse to bow out of the Victor affair when implored to do so). Pretty soon there won't be many Port Chuckles residents that don't have bullet holes in them, lol. However, I don't know if it's direction or a deliberate acting choice, but the thinly veiled disdain Anna shows for Lucy bugs me to no end. Sometimes it seems like she's only nano-seconds away from throttling Lucy. Anna doesn't show that kind of hostility even for folks that deserve it. Extremely odd.
  11. No trip to the Private Island? That's a big part of the Sonny seduction package.
  12. I'm just an occasional SNL watcher and don't remember the Billie Eilish episode. But wow, her face really lights up when she laughs!
  13. Yeah, I'm officially 1,000 years old. Jeez, I can remember when singers actually sang (and male vocalists wore suits and ties) and you didn't think they swore even in their private lives. I know SNL has to be all hip and edgy, but throw us boomers a bone every once in a while. With all the Gen Z musical reaction videos on YT, NBC might be shocked how many views an SNL hosted by Billy Joel or Diana Ross might get.
  14. Genius. I'd show up for that every single week. Even when they fail to bring their "A" games, Colin and Che are consistently amusing, regardless of what else might be going on with the rest of the show. A spin-off worth doing.
  15. Oh, PSYCHOBUNNY even as a Black Dude I feel you. Seems like a lot of the content was, ah, tailored to what the suits believe to be MTS's fan base. Big butts, tiny butts, oh how funny (Not). Guess what? I'm one brother who's really not all that into prodigious posteriors. But I don't feel that being Caucasian prohibits you from reviewing/commenting on the content. Comedy, like music, can only be good or bad, IMO. Overall though, I've been watching SNL since its inaugural season in 1975 and it feels like it's time to wrap this thing up. Lorne was recently quoted as saying that the show's 50th anniversary in 2025 would be a good time to go. It's gonna be a rough two years methinks.
  16. I'm not sure about the overall sound issue. However, in the monologue, Megan spoke so quickly that I had no idea what she was saying half of the time. Gave up on tonight's show pretty quickly and watched my Yankees get killed by Cleveland instead.
  17. Also, as other posters have noted, Louise is "Lansford Hot," it's not like we're talking Salma Hayek or Halle Berry here. Katey Sagal is attractive for someone of her years (I'm an old-timer too and can get away with saying that) , but no way does a high-school kid consider her "hot," aunt or not.
  18. Not to be a contrarian, but I thought this was kind of a meh episode. Glad that the latest "troubled young man who's been victimized by bad parents" isn't hanging around, but it's clear Jackie wants a perfect family with Neville. However, Caleb's "backwoods Jessica Rabbit" burn to Harris was a nifty insult, as was the "Flannel Dude" torch to Darlene. Mama Roseanne would have been proud.
  19. Not a particularly memorable episode. Christie makes an excellent foil for Bill - they could do a buddy movie together. Other than that, I thought Katty's "maybe no one wants to have children with you Bill" was particularly cruel. Insulting the host in his/her house is bad form, IMO.
  20. Yep, Robert was an actual Super Spy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb_0tJXq-dQ
  21. As much as I enjoy Vanna's sexy spy times, Anna and Valentin seem much too eager to involve civilians in their plans. First Anna bullies and strong-arms Lucy into working Mistuh Sheffield, now they want to drag Nina into this too??? Nothing about Nina says she'd be any good at covert ops, and I wonder why Vanna thinks she would be willing to go along. If anything, they should be looking to partner with Sonny. Maybe Spinelli or Brick could get intel without raising red flags, Sonny would be willing to help - Victor killed one of his best friends and has no qualms about taking out Laura, whom Mooby respects and cares about.
  22. Selena is scary. A very calm mob boss but willing to use violence and who helps someone in order to suck them into her web later Yes to both comments! Mrs. Woo has a Mob boss swagger to her. You'd never see her lose her cool like Sonny. Always poised, always in control. Best Lady Mobster since Faith Roscoe. I just can't see sweet Ava as a Mob Boss anymore, even though she can still be deadly. Does Ava even have a Mob Organization or was that absorbed by Sonny or Mrs. Woo?
  23. Yeah, I guess "all around good guy" Mike is a thing of the past. Wondering what Nina would think about her Honey threatening torture? Aunt Liesel would approve, to be sure. Reminds me of that episode of 24 when one of Jack Bauer's cronies had a real torture kit. But Jack? He could torture a guy with a bag of Cheetos and an old bubble gum wrapper.
  24. Holy shit has she really been playing Britt that long?! Time really does move fast. It took me so long to warm up to Britt, she had become one of my favorites and now KT is moving on. If anyone from the soap world can become a prime-time success, it's Kelly. She has the look and can actually act. I could see her working quite well in a procedural like one of the L&Os or CSIs. In other news, it took one line from Portia to make Portia & Curtis "dead-to-me" in perpetuity. Portia's "Jordan feels some kind of way..." to Curtis. Girl, you're an accomplished, educated Doctor. Are you trying to get your street cred by talking like a Home Girl??? Serious demerits to whatever writer crafted that line. Ugh.
  25. Both Anna and Ava looked very lovely today. I must say, I've no idea who the hooker is, best mystery GH has spun up in quite a while. ITA with posters who've said an effective serial killer would be a good way to cull some dead weight from this bloated cast, but the only fatality we've had so far is Brando. And the hooker doesn't seem to be much more effective than Ryan Chamberlain. Won't miss Diane at all if she expires. The character had run her course quite some time ago, IMO. Although I'll feel a bit sad for Alexis if Diane does die - they had one of the best and longest-lasting friendships on this show since the days of Luke and Robert.
