  1. I've said it before - by the time she's 40 girl will be able to sweep the floor with those things.
  2. When they get the ring: And to quote one of my faves, Mr. Johnny Cash: "and it burns, burns, burn, the Ring of Fire...The Ring of Fire." It'll go well with Jason's Box 'O Pain methinks.
  3. You know what would really be interesting? If SMike never regains his memories and decides that the Mob Life is not for him. It would be the reverse of St. Jasus' situation - did he ever regain all of Jason Q's memories? Did he even want them back? It would give Mo something different to do - the writers really have nowhere else to go with the Sonny character as far as I can see. Or, the writers could have Sonny and Jason reverse roles and have the latter be responsible for tutoring SMike on the nuances of Mob Life. After all, those warehouses aren't going to blow themselves up.
  4. Ain't that the truth. Nina claims to not have known much about Sonny, but SMike's behavior clearly indicates that whatever negative things she might have heard about him are clearly true. Which makes her obsession with him even odder. As long as Jax is in truth telling mode, he should find a gentle way of telling Nina she's in serious need of some mental health counseling. She's probably going to self-destruct unless that happens, and if current events are any indication Nina is capable of taking a few folks with her when the big implosion happens.
  5. That was my first thought (oh Baseball bat where are you?), but the writers haven't been very predictable for a change and I'm actually interested in seeing what happens next.
  6. Wait - he had Covid and is now sucking face with LW? Not sure how I feel about that.😉
  7. Does anyone else think that maybe subconsciously SMike is happy to be free of Harpy She-beast and the rest of his miserable clan? There wasn't a lot of angst associated with his watch-hurling episode. Interesting: he and Jasus have one more thing in common - Brain Damage. Austin and Maxie, huh? Seems random, but his laid-back attitude might help even out her hyper nature. She never seems to go very long between men though.
  8. Wow, CW can really sell a woman having a nervous breakdown. And I'm loving Jax in rational, truth-telling mode. More please.
  9. Even amnesia can't change the humongous arsehole that is Michael Corinthos Jr. I'm enjoying the fact that for once Jax has the upper hand with Sonny, even though Jasper has to deal with the reality that yet another woman prefers that toxic little shrimp to him. "Mayberry Mike who Dances with Brooms" - hilarious!!!! I would just add "at Nixon Fails, all day long." Even funnier, over the eight months (at least in GH time) that SMike has been living in Nixon Fails, these lazy-ass writers couldn't even be troubled to give him a phony surname. Yikes.
  10. Jasus has always treated Snarly like a lifelong, recurring rash he's learned to live with.
  11. And he's an anti-vaxxer too. Very interesting. I'm here in the Garden State and missed most of the last three episodes due to Hurricane Ida. Cable had been out for nearly two whole days. Seems like I missed a lot...or maybe I didn't????
  12. Today was kind of an odd, mixed bag. But very interesting overall. Thanks to Peter, Nina got to see SMike for what he really is, a cheap thug. Incredibly, I was actually worried about Peter for a second when SMike came after him with that bat. MB actually sold the menacing for a change, and at a worthy target for once. The potential couples are intriguing too. Still don't know what to make of gentle Doc/Farmer Austin, but he does seem to be into Maxie, and I wouldn't mind seeing them together. Like the way Maxie and BLQ have bonded, and how protective Brooke Lynne now seems to be about Maxie. BLQ and Valentin have a nice co-parenting vibe, it'll be interesting to see where that relationship goes when the Big Scam is revealed. Also, did anyone else think that Liesel had a premonition that something was going to go wrong with the plane? Very strange look and reaction when she and Scotty toasted. And what was she reaching for in her purse when the turbulence hit? The camera seemed to focus in on that. Did I miss something?
  13. You make me wish I'd been around in the day. By the time I got back to GH they had given Geary too much power over his storylines and Luke was going from woman to woman and sleazy enough so that I wondered what the fuss about him had been. I know. There are so many GH fans today that have no idea that Luke actually used to be cool, once you got past the reconned rape/seduction of Laura. Some of the plot lines so cheesy, like stopping Mikkos Cassadine from freezing the world, but there was some good stuff too. His adventures with Robert F! Scorpio back in the day were must-see soap. And in those 5 minutes when he was Mayor of Port Chuckles, elected right before Laura escaped from Stavros, he really tried to helped people. As show runners came and went, Luke transformed from a captivating action hero to an alcoholic, self-absorbed, dead beat dad. It was really sad to see. L&L had real friendships with other couples, Bryan and Claudia, Robert and Holly, and you just don't see that on today's show. AG and JJ also had a genuine father-and-son vibe that missing from today's GH, even though some of the male leads have scores of kids.
  14. I'll go one better. If he's interested, we need J.J. to come home to GH. The writers just couldn't stop crapping on this iconic character. Yes, I could see how the death of Sibohan McKenna might have been crushing (although in the end Elizabeth is his only true love), but to flee to Africa for years and become a deadbeat dad? Come on - Luke & Laura's son is made of much, much stronger stuff. There had to be a better way of writing him off without making the character look so bad. Other than maybe Chase, the current GH canvass is missing someone with Lucky's sense of honor and understanding of right-and-wrong. Yeah, he could be obnoxiously judgemental at times, hey he's L&L's son, but it usually came from a good place. Plus, he was the only Spencer, other than Laura, that Stefan Cassadine ever had any respect for. And on this mob-centric show, we'd have another competent good guy to root for. I'd love to see Lucky come back, partner with Dante or Chase and make the PCPD look respectable again. Maybe even some WSB capers with Anna, Robert and Valentin. It could be fun.
  15. This may be an UO, but now that Chase is out of that train wreck of a triangle I really want him with Brooke Lynn. Besides the fact that the character has really grown on me, she has all of Grandma Tracy's fierceness and family loyalty without a lot of her not so desirable traits (her scam of Valentin notwithstanding). She'd be good for Chase and they've already bonded on a friendship level. Chase is one of the few really good guys on GH and he deserves an equally decent love interest.
  16. Actually, I rather liked this week's show. Intelligent guests with valid, well-thought out insights - and no one spoke over anyone else. Nor did they dominate the conversation to the point that the other panelist couldn't get a word in edge-wide. Bill even went easy on his favorite tropes, cancel culture, the overweight, etc. Some weeks it seems like he makes an effort, other weeks not. A couple of things bugged, though. Telling Ralph Reed (who I didn't know), "yeah, I like you, but don't get you, we're not going to a titty bar together." Way to keep it classy Bill, with a cultured Lady on the panel. The other thing that bugged. Hey Bill, you're a student of comedic history. Remember George Carlin? The Smothers Brothers? That was some brilliant political comedy right there - and they didn't outright attack people, either.
  17. This flies under the radar, but the Luke Spencer character not only saved soaps, but revitalized modern broadcast fiction as well. In reality, he was the first true "anti-hero" since the B&W Bogart days. A truly Grey character, with some darkness, but in the end you could always count on him to save the day. The ironic thing is, Carly and Jason come across as two of the most sexless characters in soaps. He came alive briefly with Britt, but other than his time with Robin you could never sell this Robot Man to me as any kind of romantic lead. She's much more efficient and professional than former WSB super-spies Anna and Valentin. Instead of rushing to Nixon Fails to dispose of Peter (my first thought), Liesel immediately decided "why should I spoil my vacation? I'll have Peter come to me in St. Lucia and end him while my sweetie is taking a nap in the Hotel." LOVE IT!!!!!
  18. I remember that Sonny and Jason found it really amusing that Jax was raped by a woman. So typical. Preach Sister. Sonny killed AJ, a Legacy Character, and no one bats an eye. Monica regularly invited Sonny, her son's murderer, into the Q Mansion. Disgusting.
  19. So at the end of the day, Nina (Crazy Eyes) Reeves is the real Gangsta on this show. Wasting no time doing what Anna and Valentin should have done ages ago. Go figure. No doubt though, Liesel will get the job done.
  20. If so it must be a one-sided agreement. I've been watching L&O:SVU for years, and there have been quite a few times where Mariska has kissed men full on the lips - although her on-screen kissing style is cringe-worthy as well. Curious.
  21. For a show with six seasons of unrealized potential, this episode was fairly decent. The concept of a hero having PTSD, which Kara clearly seems to have, isn't something we see often or ever IIRC. And I think we all knew Zor-El's pimped-out Kal-Ex was going to go bonkers. Uncle Archie...in the "El" family, there's no better disguise than a pair of glasses, lol. And...just for laughs, the next time Kara visits the Fortress, I'd like her to find a note from Kal-El saying "Hi Cousin, thanks for stopping by, but will you PLEASE leave my stuff alone????" Growing up, I had Cousins just like Kara - every visit from them ended with one or more of my toys being destroyed.
  22. I myself was kind of "meh" on the dress, but the close-up did underscore what lovely, piercing grey eyes KT has. Biggest kick of today's episode for me was that Maxie actually got a genuine smile out of Jasus, something that Carly seldom does. Made him seem really human.
  23. A fairly clever way to accommodate GF's leave at least. Such a shame she has to take MEK with her. But at least Laura and Martin will truly have a chance to bond. On the other hand, the whole "hit" thing only underscores what gummy bear mobsters inhabit the GH universe. If I'm writing this show, either Nik or Kevin (or both) has a sit down with Jasus with a conversation that goes something like this: "Jason, you may have heard that Cyrus has taken out a hit on the Grandmother of Sonny's Nephew. Of course, this is unacceptable and we all know what needs to happen next." End scene.
  24. I am thoroughly convinced a "Fat Kid" bullied Bill during this childhood years. Not much else makes since. I'm a Yankees fan and nearly half the team (including coaches) have been on the Covid-19 Restricted List at some point this season. The majority of the players are vaccinated (J&J) and most are in peak physical condition. Follow the news and I'm sure you'll find plenty of Covid-19 deaths among those who were physically fit. Bill just needs excuses to bash overweight people IMO.
  25. He and I have that same trait in common, although I'm not nearly as handsome. Seriously, that grey hair makes him look ten times better then when he played Tad the Cad back in the day. Anna did seem a small bit flattered and receptive to Martin, even though I don't think he's her type. But she did date Luke for a moment. Guess anything can happen.
