Vicki Gunvalson: Her Love Tank Runneth Over
Gharlane replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Apparently, they're taking the worst of various housewives and making them go "glamping" or something together. For some strange reason, things get explosive... 🤔 -
They misspelled "THOT-y sauce". 🤣
-
What would she bring, PB&J sandwiches? 🤣

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads

I don't think they were different races, but it wasn't for a camera. It was for one of those companies that makes cards and tshirts and coffee mugs with your photos. The only problem with the photos was minor, like one of them had blinked or wasn't facing the camera. I didn't see why they had to choose one of them instead of taking more. -
This week, on the Real Housewives of WeHo... DJ Muppet Baby visits LaLa while Raquel visits Arianna. I totally forgot why. The Toms review their business plan with successful businesswoman Lisa Vanderbucks before they meet their investor (or whatever he is). They produce some swatches (no idea their cost) and a mission statement which sounded like a montage of madness: “Schwartz & Sandy’s is a funkadelic dive lounge where you check your worries at the door and escape reality. We hope to bridge the familiarity with your best night out with the déjà vu of your future fantasy.” When you brainstorm while stoned, what you think sounds deep and profound is in reality incoherent rambling. Lisa gave them some good advice, tho. Let's see if they were listening. DJ Muppet Baby and Raquel argue about her impending rhinoplasty. I think he's concerned that's she's going to become a patient that gets turned away on a future ep of Botched, but he's inarticulate and Raquel isn't smart enough to understand. The Toms and Katie see Greg, who now looks like the guy from Ancient Aliens, at the site to present their mission state. He's not impressed, probably because they didn't take SBLVB's advice. Even more humiliating, Katie emasculates the Toms and improvises a better mission statement! This week, the gang has a Man of Mystery/Femme Fatale party, meaning everyone dresses up like spies. The only thing interesting was Shwartz's nicknames, including "SchwartzThePussy". Oh yeah, LaLa attempted to mend bridges with Schemer and Brock, too. Sexy senior citizen Lisa Vanderbucks turns Schwartz on by wearing a dog mask. 🤢 The girls decide to help raise money for Raquel's rhinoplasty by submitting photos to a foot fetish website.😲 Oh yeah, we got to see Charli at work, which is being a waitress at SUR. Oh yeah, I forgot that's why she's on this show. She's not very good at it, since she only eats three things and none of them are on the menu.

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads
Gharlane replied to Lola16's topic in Commercials
I saw a couple two new commercials last night that left me scratching my head. In the first one, a young man complains that he has to chose either the picture where he looks bad or the one where his girlfriend looks bad for their annual Christmas card. Why don't you take more until you get one where you both look good? 🤔 The second one featured a black man who clearly is not enjoying taking the kids to see Santa Claus. In fact, he's in the background of his kids' photo making a mean sour face (way to ruin the shot!). Anyhow, he later gets some sort of artsy crafty thing as a gift, a pillow with a black Santa on it, and immediately cheers up, which makes me wonder if he has a problem with the Santa Claus being white? 😲 -
I'm watching the "extended footage" version and they showed: Raquel showing successful businesswoman Lisa Vanderbucks photos of her nose (obsessed much?) Charli telling us how she first met Corey (he gave her and about a dozen other girls his phone number on his receipt). DJ Muppet Baby sleeps in a fetal position because he hits and kicks Raquel in his sleep. LaLa gave birth to a very hairy baby. LaLa and Katie talked about their plastic surgeries during that b"truth or dare" game at the tasting party. The two Tom's making out during their "brainstorming" session. OK, I made up the last one, but I just love this guy's hoyay recaps. ETA: Does anyone have or seen screen shots of the Toms' vision board and notes they took? I am curious what they wrote about their "retro future dive lounge". I had to laugh about See You Next Tuesday having no more than a dozen people in attendance, most of whom were cast members. At Charli's food party, Scheana brought her "world famous" enchiladas in a dish with "Scheana's Enchildas" on it, like she custom-ordered the dish with that on it.

Jebus, what was that "Schemer's Enchiladas" thing about? I cannot recall them ever talking about her making them before now! I kinda wish Jax were back so we could watch her mocking him again.
-
I don't recall hearing the theme music, but there were a bunch of shows around that time which involved one-time visitor's stories, like The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

I recently went to Popeye's and saw some signage for some sort of named hot sauce but had no idea who or what that was, until I saw their new commercials with a nasty-looking Cardi B clone. 🤢 https://www.ispot.tv/ad/qTJw/popeyes-hottie-sauce-wild-megan-hottie-sauce-ft-megan-thee-stallion

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads

That commercial has been playing for a couple years over the holidays. I don't think it would matter if they gave the gingerbread made good clues because he keeps repeating the same wrong answer over and over! 😡 Those teddy bears seem a bit sinister to me... destroying their communication with the outside world, trapping them in the house, ... -
Once again, I got this weird sense of déjà vu while watching the Lois and her father parts. in fact, I knew he was going to reveal something at the funeral, but it turned out to be an affair, not something terrible the nanny had done to Lois. Maybe it's a trope I'm remembering, but that was weird. I liked Peter turning the house into a hotel, then Hotel, or at least something in the same format as that and The Loveboat and those other anthology shows with washed-up stars. Don't let Stewie and Brian hear you!

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

You know what? I have no clue who Uno Wutt is! -
But the important thing is, were you doing magic 'shrums? 😃 I thought they meant something like The Jetsons.

Watching Tom and Tom with the man who reminded me of Ted Cruz (was he a potential investor or their construction supervisor?) stumble over the details they should have worked out long ago was most telling. BTW, why did Raquel recommend James go to AA meetings? Hasn't he been doing that for awhile already?

This week, on the Real Housewives of WeHo... If the two Toms think getting wasted on mushroom tea is "brainstorming", their business is doomed as doomed can be! Oh, look! It's a Botched crossover! I couldn't care less about them thwoing a party for that picky eater drama queen.

I'm watching the "extended footage" version and they've showed nothing new very interesting or memorable.🤷♂️

It became played out with Blair Witch Project.
