  1. OMG, that's who I've been thinking of every time I see him. I knew it was from some comedy sketch show but I assumed something from MadTV. No wonder I couldn't find it.
  2. Cop's aren't exactly experts in the law. I'm not saying this is definitely the case, but at least in some jurisdictions, once you voluntarily leave and establish residency in a new place, you do not get to just go in and out as you please. It may be your house, but it is not your home. They're both being dicks here, but Javi would look a whole lot better if he wasn't coming in through the basement and going through his wife's things.
  3. Depending on Delaware law, because Javi voluntarily moved to a new place and established residency there, it is possible that Kail has an expectation of privacy in the home and Javi can't just come and go as he pleases. Some jurisdictions do it this way, others don't. Either way, Javi's whole "I can break the window if I want", stated on camera, makes him look unstable. Kail's behavior is deplorable (although had she filed for divorce before any cheating, I think that changes the narrative a bit, but wavering back and forth between Javi and divorce is playing with his and her children's emotions), but Javi is doing himself no favors.
  4. It's just so surreal that we are celebrating an adult female wearing shorts.
  5. Ha. As soon as I read someone say 'she looks familiar' I immediately thought of him.
  6. Can it really be called a memoir when you aren't even old enough to drive?
  7. Isn't it nice to have your horrible feelings validated? Lol! And yeah, once you've been around the internet enough, you get that scam feeling pretty quick. I'd rather be skeptical and proven wrong than the other way around. I'm on the younger side of this forum (based on comments regarding people and their kids' general ages), and I was in junior high (or so) when the internet and chat rooms were popular, and it was rare to be a female on generally male dominated gaming forums, so I got so used to the fake stories that would play out, sometimes over a longer term, others over a few hours of fun high school level drama that you were just excited to not involve you. And there were always those superior people who knew everything, and because digital cameras were rare, it was hard to prove anything. There was one guy who waxed poetic about all his girlfriends and his money and such, then he showed up at a meet up and photos were posted... people were mean but he got raked through the coals for all his lies. At least he had the gonads to show up though.
  8. My parents did weekend kid free trips a few times a year (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) throughout my whole childhood. We stayed with my grandma or she came to our house. Sometimes they just got a hotel in our city, or drove somewhere not too far. As long as someone is able and willing to babysit it doesn't bother me (with exceptions, such as newborns or when its all the time).
  9. After watching the episode of Worlds Strictest Parents then seeing this new video, he's at least grown up well. I just wish it wasn't so obvious how pushed into marriage these young and unready people are.
  10. Tyler must have skipped the day they taught paragraphs.
  11. I find whenever someone online has an answer to everything, or always has a connection to a topic, no matter what the topic is, I get a little suspect. I felt it with wanderwoman (she's the one who faked the sick child? If not, sorry for disparaging the name! Someone mentioned it above so now it's all I can think of), where everything just seemed to get worse every day, there was always a new sob story. Maybe I'm just more skeptical in nature, or maybe it's because I go back to being online back before social media and mainstream forums, where most people could never prove their claims because they didn't have cameras, and so I just assume it's a lie until there's proof.
  12. My dad built us a playhouse when we were kids <3 I wonder what UBT will be building in this next week or so.
  13. I remember being semi-impressed only in that she was better than some other internet-famous fat dancers, which was refreshing. But there were definite, multiple cuts showing she couldn't do the whole dance in one take. I'm surprised Whitney hasn't decided to do weight loss surgery as a storyline. It gets paid for, the needed skin surgery would be paid for, she gets money during recovery and staying at home, sessions with Will (once she is physically able) would be paid for. And it would be so much more interesting (and potentially much more real) than what we are seeing now.
  14. Whitney dressed up as a Long Island ice tea... wearing a Los Angeles dodgers hat. Bothered me more than it should have. The rival dance teacher Confrontation didn't bother me since it was obviously a set up. But I did get second hand embarrassment listening to their weak ass trash talk. Babs was hilariously rude. Hasn't she "always had a man" in part became she got married so young? It's a horrid way to talk to your daughter, especially since the answers are so obvious. Can't believe Whitney is older than me. She's so immature. And clueless. And I'm sick of her exaggerated faux outrage/shock when people say things. I also take issue with ny woman who assumes every man is into her. No matter how attractive. It's just a horrid trait.
  15. I can't even begin to say what is wrong with this "novel." What sucks is that because of who he is, he could will probably get some low-rank publisher (or self publish) and it will sell just like the other terrible TM books. He will declare it a success and that he is now an author. And actual people, with good work, will remain unread.
  16. Austin reminds me of some cliche weird awkward virgin who has no idea what to do SNL or MadTV type character, especially in the photo at the restaurant with the Duggar parents
  17. Look at all those pants! Do they close their eyes during the commercials? What about if cheerleaders are shown? And the language!
  18. The picture just makes them come across so sloppy
  19. You don't have to be a lawyer to become a judge in multiple jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court, it's just not very common (and no SCOTUS justices have not been, yet).
  20. I work on the civil side of things but the only explanation I can think of is that the cop is also a licensed attorney in SC. I can't imagine, even in a magistrate court (which is restricted in what cases it hears), a state allowing any criminal case to be tried by a non attorney (other than the defendant themselves) and not have those cases thrown out for unconstitutionality. I admit I wasn't paying attention to the show and was only listening, but from what I heard, I assumed that the prosecution was incredibly incompetent for their terrible witness prep. Then I remembered it was Nathan and it's likely they gave up on prep. At first I was thinking they were letting them testify in a narrative way, but I'm pretty sure that's only allowed (at least in CA evidence code) where the defendant themselves wants to testify and you know they are going to perjure themselves. (again, not on the criminal side, but it's definitely more interesting). However, it could just be a difference in SC evidence code, and it looks like the magistrate courts have their own, so all the problems you've already pointed out may be covered in the different rules of the court, except for it not being an attorney. (I don't think it's a civil trial because Jenelle was facing jail time and I still think you'd have to have an actual attorney as a prosecutor.) Don't care about Kail skydiving but love the way she and Jo handled Isaac's behavior at the restaurant. Although I bet it killed Jo to hear Isaac say he wanted Javi. Aubree has her bad moments but she's obviously being raised well. I liked Chelsea acknowledging her want for some private moments (something they wouldn't think about at 16/17 when they signed on to the show) and how she handled her mom talking about Aubree in a wedding dress. Her mom is clueless though, which makes me laugh. But running from the moth? Ugh, I've always hated girls like that. Leah's freakout was so unnecessary. You unlocked the car so the keys must be somewhere you put them, yet you ask your kids? You know when the cameras are there, get yourself organized. Adam seems to expect Chelsea to tell the producers some things, but doesn't want her to tell the cameras other things, but won't communicate himself. Ok buddy. I know not everyone agrees but I love the fourth wall stuff. Not the talking to the producers, but the general acknowledgement that they're on TV. The existence of the cameras changes the way they act, the ways other people react to them, and what they can and can't do, and allowing the cameras to be addressed changes how that is shown. I never watched The Hills but I remember some commentary on how it would have been so much interesting to see the way the show has effected their lives and what they get to do because they are on the show, then fake jobs and drama set up as storylines, and I feel that way here. Adam talking about what is and isn't shown is a "real" moment and a "real" conversation, it's a nice change of pace.
