  1. I'm so glad that someone else is as blunt as I am about the horrors this family is responsible for.
  2. Congratulations to Jinger and Jeremy for (what appears to be) waiting and enjoying their time together. Poor Joy. Any progression in her life is basically done. Sorry to be pessimistic, but this girl is now in for a life of giving birth because it's clear she won't ever have the mental strength to walk away from it.
  3. I remember my doctor's office as a kid having that yellow car track. It's like a hard, hollow plastic, with a few pieces that go together like a puzzle, and it had some ramps/bridges that were solid and you could connect the tracks to them. I always liked playing with it.
  4. It's perfectly normal to walk in the graduation when you still have a few requirements left. The requirements to walk are different than to graduate, and a lot of people may have one or two credits/requirements left, but want to either walk "with their class" or there's no other ceremony. I took one summer school class after my graduation because I couldn't fit it in during the year. My sister walked and didn't finish an internship credit for two years (we joke that I'm the first to graduate since I finished the semester before she was able to take time off from her paid job to do an unpaid internship). Also, that was just a presentation for a class wasn't it? It wasn't great but I've seen worse. This isn't some cutthroat masters program at a top university. I don't expect much from a student PowerPoint. I didn't know (but frankly I did assume) Brianna didn't go through with the adoptio but all I could think is what a dumbass this guy was being. She doesn't want to raise this baby alone and stupidly thought they'd be together. He cheats. Now he's saying he doesn't want to coparent, because he wants to be together. You shouldn't have cheated then. And if you're so insistent on keeping the baby, because you're "hyped", at least allude to being the primary care giver. At least be active right now. I doubt he's been on top of things prepping to be a parent. What corner was Kaiser's nose supposed to go in anyways?
  5. Simon just wants attention. I don't believe a word he says. I've dealt with too many boys like him in my life to give him the time of day. I think his style appeals more to those who get more personally involved in the show (looking up,everything the girls/cast do, getting more personal with the insults, etc.). Not my thing but he knows his audience and how to keep himself relevant so I can give him props for that.
  6. I think she looks good. Much more natural and relaxed looking than usual.
  7. The general consensus is that Matt was never a drug addict, right? He made it all up?
  8. Not sure if this was brought up or not, but one of the last episodes it was brought it up that Tyler and Cate hadn't seen Carly since the wedding. The same wedding where Butch was told not to talk to Carly, and did it anyways. Hm. That can't be related at all can it.
  9. They just aren't a very good looking family. Jill's outfit got close in that last picture, but those shoes are awful and it doesn't fit right.
  10. Convenient that the initials stay the same
  11. I don't hate the bridesmaids dresses, but they don't make sense for the setting. Also why Jill had to have some extra ugly maxi dress with added doilies. The navy looks nice with the flowers but the whole thing doesn't make sense. Also Kendra looks like their relative, but so does Anna. Duggar boys must have some type -- maybe that's why Marjorie didn't make the cut, ha!
  12. Agreed. He may not be for me (although I agree that he's hot -- I also love the tall, dark, and bearded) but I can recognize that at least he has some kind of personality and seems to respect his wife. I think in their family, they couldn't ask for much better and still have their dad approve (and you know if he didn't, they'd be shunned Amish style). Especially in the Duggar family. I highly doubt they were allowed to read very much outside the Bible and related books. Hopefully she gets to experience a variety and maybe comes across some books that challenge her world view, even if accidentally and if it doesn't change her mind, just in that it shows her there's other truths out there.
  13. I can't help but picture how awkward that wedding night must have been. Two kids with no idea what is going on. It doesn't help that Austin looks like the actor who played the Josh character in the spoof Duggar youtube series. He's like a more naive George Michael Bluth.
  14. My Favorite part of the Farrah/Daniel stuff is that after she visits, and gets ditched in, Austin with him, she ends up moving there. Now he's talking a San Diego move, where Simon lives, but they're not together, of course.
  15. At least "Friday" was a hilariously bad song in a catchy way... these are just terrible. And Jojo's video looks like it was made by a fan.
  16. So... Matt's upset over the makeup line because it's a guy right? The whole nanny discussion was gross. I don't like Deb's fiance but I love that he isn't afraid to say what he's thinking. Can you imagine being stuck at a table with 3 Abraham women? And when Sofia's older? Run David run. I hate Dr. Drew and I hate Butch for having him be on the show. But at least he's right about Butch not being in a program. Tyler's mom also gets progressively worse. OMG bacon is so bad for you -- eats cheese doused potato skins. The Maci drama seems like almost standard separate family bs. He said-she said, anger at the people who aren't in the room. If the cameras weren't there, all the same stuff would happen, there just wouldn't be evidence of it. I cringed when Larry said he can make decisions for Bentley - he probably didn't mean that literally but not the best thing to say. He's a great grandpa (they're great grandparents), but you're still grandparents.
  17. Oh I'm sure Farrah had her hand in that fight that transpired. And I'm sure Deb did her thing too
  18. Sorry but my parents room was never a mess (and we've never had any housekeeper -- none of them were ever good enough for what my mom wanted). They both worked. It's not hard to not be a slob. And since when do fans come without covers? Is this a thing?
  19. They look like a normal couple, good for them. And I can't be the only one bothered that a $45 cookie chocolate basket thing can't even be coordinating colors? The cookie looks so bad on top of the strawberries.
  20. I think she actually looks attractive but don't think it was appropriate for the setting. White girl wearing a sari to an Indian wedding? Totally ok. White girl wearing a sari to other Indian-cultural related event? Fine. Any time else? Tread carefully, especially in the public eye. I think the Abraham family are all crazy and horrible people, but I also realize they must (crossing my fingers here) play it up for the cameras. And that is what I'm going to tell myself so that I can accept a grown woman sleeping nude in a room with her ex husband and grown daughter. I also doubt they could ever accept the abuse from the past because I'm firmly in the denier camp. I believe they are crazy and did bullshit things, and they also probably did things Farrah didn't like but that were perfectly normal for parents to do. In Farrah's messed up mind, this is abuse, in the same way a five year old threatens to run away because they didn't get to have ice cream for dinner.
  21. Maci is above and beyond the best out of the OG group. However, she needs to get her act together and get a set schedule put into place. I think it's great that Jen and Larry are as involved as they are, Bentley is lucky to have them as grandparents. But they are his grandparents, not his parents. Instead of getting on Maci, they need to get on Ryan about setting these things down in a calendar. Christmas every other year with one parent, and Christmas Eve with the other. Whoever gets Christmas does not get Thanksgiving, or however they want to work it out. I get where it would be frustrating that during "Dad's weekend," Ryan isn't around and Bentley was just with his grandparents, but it seems to be improving and Maci needs to give a little more so Ryan can step up. If he keeps failing, then readjust. Also, she needs to have this as a conversation with Ryan directly. Her whole talk on the show about not wanting to have the conversation that we all got to see is just going to cause tension in that family. When the cameras are in your home, there is always the chance what you say will be aired! Cate and Tyler are what I imagine the average lottery winner to be like. All this money and no idea how to deal with it. Lipstick on a pig. And Tyler is just gross. He completely plays up his personality for the camera and it comes across as so annoying and immature. Farrah is the upper middle class person pretending to be a 1 %er. She does a better faux-riche than Cate and Tyler, but in a much bitchier way. If she doesn't marry rich (it will never be Simon), we will be seeing her doing every possible thing she can to make money. She also needs to learn how to treat people and speak English. Amber is somewhere in between Cate and Farrah. She has the Cate upbringing but is trying to live the Farrah lifestyle. I get wanting to see what the tree looks like from the outside, luckily they didn't put all the tacky tinsel shit on the back and only on the front, presumably for their own enjoyment. How nice of Matt to use Amber's money to buy a tacky car to go with their destroyed house with its who-decided-to-buy-a-white-couch (now covered in a tacky sheet, likely due to who knows what stained it the day after it arrived) and their tacky music-memorabilia-office-huh? room. And I hate using the same word over and over but damned if tacky isn't the best way to describe their life. Tacky nails, tacky hair, tacky faux-Anna Nicole look, tacky personalities. Maci gets props for at least somewhat living within her means. Their house is nice, but not omg amazing (and likely not that badly priced because of where they live), they go on vacation but not anymore than other similarly situated people with their income, their kids wear clothes (both pants and shirts!) on tv, they seem to actually have social lives and are involved in activities, I hate they way they curse so readily (and I have no issue with cursing, I do it, but not on camera or in front of young children) but at least they treat other people with some amount of decency. They have some other annoying shit (see!) about them but it's minimal and more normal for their age group, as negative as I, or we, may see it.
  22. Tell me about it. I don't feel like running into her. That was my thought. She thinks people here will just be ok with a horse, mini or otherwise? I hope she plans to buy out in east county. Maybe some of the more rural areas of Scripps Ranch or similar. But she's going to be nowhere near a beach. Something tells me CA will be way more of a stickler on things like zoning than Texas. She's selling it for around $750,000? Good luck finding a southern california house with a similar size for that price. My parent's house is worth that much and it's a pretty standard suburbia 1970s place.
  23. I'm pretty sure someone else was arrested for the crime.
