  1. The vendors have been banned from the Brooklyn Bridge.
  2. Is anyone else seeing double avatars over there <?
  3. There is now a (See Full List) prompt by the category headings!
  4. Sigh. You can’t even browse through ALL the shows to see if you caught all of yours because they only list the “popular” shows under the Comedy, Drama, etc. headings. I think I got all of mine plus the added award shows, threads from TV movies, limited series…but there’s no master list of shows that I can find…
  5. it looks like all the awards threads, instead of being in one handy dandy spot, are now all individual threads that you either have to add all of them to your home page or hunt for them when you want to read/post in them. In fact, it looks like any single thread forums are now full forums, which is why they turned yellow. Some have disappeared from my home page and I’m hunting them down and are re-following. They don’t get a lot of activity, but I like them there in case they do, I.e. The Dick van Dyke Show, MASH, WKRP, etc… I’m still looking for TV Movies: Hallmark, Hallmark Mysteries, Christmas, etc…l
  6. The Awards forums, TV Movies, Specials, etc forums seem to have disappeared again also. ☹️
  7. That disclaimer is on EVERY competitive reality show.
  8. Oh, his hearing is fine. He just gets distracted easily. Squirrel! He admits it. He laughs when I ask him to repeat, which is really not that often.
  9. I will admit to making my husband repeat what I just said so I know he heard me. He does tell me he tunes me out, so this way I make sure he hears the important stuff.😆
  10. My boss and I both talk to ourselves out loud. We decided long ago that if we wanted to speak to each other, we’d let the other know.
  11. There is a shorter running time on sitcoms these days compared to the original Night Court. Original episodes were 22-24 minutes while these days it’s more like 18-20 minutes. That changes the pace.
  12. I can’t stand the over the top laugh track. Yes, there was a lot of funny going on, but every line was not that hilarious.
  13. Wonders what THAT emoji would look like 🤔
  14. The whole USA Network lineup of shows was so magical
  15. BBCAmerica would probably be the closest thing, but they stopped showing UK programming some time ago. The Graham Norton show is the only show that actually comes from the BBC nowadays….
  16. Anderson Cooper has a good podcast dedicated to grief. I have found it helpful listening to others process grief and found myself thinking, “Yes, that’s exactly it!”
  17. I am speculating that Phyllis’s scenes were all filmed separately from the others. There were no scenes with anyone else. When she was with Sr. MJ, it was cut back and forth between the two and when she was taking pictures, you only saw her taking them or her arm when she did the group shot.
  18. Apparently there is a different pronunciation for Barry and berry & Mary, marry, and merry. It comes up on Jeopardy when a contestant is judged wrong because of pronunciation. A lively discussion in the Jeopardy thread ensues!
  19. It’s the height of the swinging 60s and Barbara Parker has just been crowned Miss Blackpool – but she’s certain there has to be more to life than being a beauty queen in a seaside town. With the bright lights of London calling, Barbara packs her bags and heads off to the city where she looks to take on the male-dominated world of comedy by storm. The London Barbara Parker encounters is not as quite as swinging as the one she’d read about and seen on TV. However, after a series of setbacks Barbara finds herself in unfamiliar territory - an audition for a TV comedy show. Barbara’s uncompromising northern wit proves to be the X factor that the show has been missing. She gets the part and becomes part of a ground-breaking new sitcom. Being a woman in a largely male environment has its own challenges, but as Barbara "finds her funny" she re-defines the prevailing attitude to funny women and in the process, reinvents herself. Starring Gemma Arterton. PREMIERES SUNDAY, JANUARY 7 AT 10/9C On PBS
  20. Christmas was always mom driven. She’s been gone for a dozen years now, but we are still finding our way to new traditions. We are still locked into memories of Mom and “it’s not the same without her”. Sigh. Happy 2024 everyone! ❤️
