  1. So he has to justify why he didn't like being called a bitch? Once they realized he didn't take it in the joking manner they intended, they should have dropped it but they instigated and got another girl to provoke him. That's when he took it to Jason. Should he have retaliated by using sexist epithets on them, in a winky way?
  2. I would think by now Klepper gets some angry reactions when he shows up. Amy is new at it so they probably don't realize yet that they're being made to look stupid.
  3. If a woman complained about being called a bitch despite asking not to be called a bitch, does she have cause to be upset or put off by her fellow crew?
  4. I always wondered if High Tea was really a thing or something to rip off tourists. Not even a real meal but you're paying $50-75 or more for tea, sandwiches and some baked confections! A lot of it is presentation which includes the fancy venue. So it’s a royal-wannabe tradition?
  5. Fentanyl test strips are opposed by red state politicians because they think it will encourage more fentanyl use. No, a lot of fentanyl ODs are apparently Of people who didn’t know they were taking tHings laced with fentanyl so there’s a push to get test strips out there. But the conservative mind thinks it would encourage more use. They opposed things like clean needle distribution to reduce AIDS infections or encourAging condom use to prevent unplanned pregnancies. I suspect most of his mocking of those posters as beIng THe Onion headlines were based on trying to reduce intravenous heroin use and overdoses. Bill likes pot so he has to be hip with all kinds of drugs right?
  6. Who has blamed Jada and completely exonerated Will? Talk about a straw man. Guess Jada was a complete bystander.
  7. Paramount + will be streaming All Star Shore starting on June 29th, which draws from casts of several Shore programs to have a "party competition" show, in a shore house in the Canary Islands. The only JS cast member which will be part of this thing will be Angelina. https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/all-star-shore-cast-paramount-plus-1235284180/ The other cast members are too successful, old or have family responsibilities for this kind of show. Well they will probably draw on the rebooted JS to cast future seasons of this show. There will be future seasons because Paramount + have little interesting original content that isn't reboots or spinoffs of other shows.
  8. People do it all the time. it may not be true to her feelings but people generally choose not to be always unfiltered.
  9. Jada has the right to not find the joke funny or be hurt by it. Third parties can be respectful of her and not laugh a lot but they have the right to find it funny too. If she just gave a little smile, it probably wouldn't have blown up and nobody would have noticed the crack the next day. She could have talked about how it's a problem for many women the next day but instead, she's had to talk about The Slap. Again, she has the right to react to it in any way she wants. She's not at fault for what Will Smith did but she may have precipitated it.
  10. However, if I open any forum page by navigating manually to it and then go back to the notification email and click the same links which had returned the error, it opens the link. The links work for awhile and then new notification email links don't work. Even notification emails from the previous day, which had worked originally, can return this error.
  11. Paramount + is badly in need of orig content so they’re going wild with spin-offs and sequels.
  12. What a terrific second season. They show how much fondness Deb and Ava have for each other, how hard-earned it has been -- despite the alleged bullying. They weave in these touching moments and acts between the two women among all he jokes or vice versa, in a pitch perfect way. None of it rings false or forced. Deb recognizes that Ava reinvigorated her career or made her reinvent herself. Even if she didn't lose the residency, she was on cruise control, complacent. The loyalty Jimmy showed was moving but they did inject the comedy with Kayla quitting her father's agency as well. As soon as Deb saw that Ava had other opportunities emerging as a result of the success of the special, she gave her a severance and gave Ava freedom. This could have been a great series ending but Inside the Episode says they plan to show how these two characters fare being apart from each other. HBO Max may not have officially announced renewal but they probably pitched an outline of this season and at least another season, since this season sets up for what a third season would be like. One might quibble with selling 50k DVDs as probably not being a big deal these days. Even rounding up to $20, that's only a million dollars gross and she already spent $800k on the auction. Would that really influence the networks to get into a big bidding war though? Only a couple of networks air standup comic specials -- well now Netflix does as well, I suppose. It might also have been interesting to see the critical reaction, to see how being more biographical was received and whether that opened up opportunities for Deborah outside of standup. Maybe we'll see something like that in the next season.
  13. Jason didn't waste time beating around the bush with firing Ryan, who again had a bad attitude. What the hell is a criticist? Jaime is like, Aesha can get two replacements but he's still stuck with Benny. But we know the timing of on-screen firings are not determined by the captain. On paper the replacements, Nate the chef and Taylor the new stew are far more qualified than Ryan and Magda. So why were the latter two cast instead of the new cast members? Because if things ran smoothly, the show would have less drama. Friction caused by the two slackers probably set up a lot of the episodes. They're good but they show up on the day of the charter and have to hit the ground running? But Nate can't because he has to clean up the galley which Ryan left in filthy condition. Then to top it off, a dishwasher is leaking so he has like half hour to prepare dinner. So the service and Nate don't do the best job of coordinating in serving the different courses. But is it that big a deal? They had to bring out the sauces for the second course again, which was the result of a mixup. Jason may not find the plating Instagrammable. Well Nate was hurried by the sad state of the galley.
  14. But she just made a statement now, saying she hopes they can make amends and reconcile. Makes it sound like the incident was completely unrelated to her.
  15. That’s what a lot of the reporting said, that it could never work, that existing blood analyzers needed a lot of blood and no company bothered trying to do it with a drop of blood. Even if they made it work, what would the benefits be? Would stores not require people trained to draw blood? Would it have cost less or would they price it the same but take bigger profit margins? Maybe the conclusion that it would never work is Monday morning quarterbacking but it seems so obvious. Yet all tHese scientificallY trained people didn’t immediately dismiss the concept right away. People like Channing, Ian, Kevin and others thought it could be possible, was open to it.
  16. True but he may have thought he'd get a lot more grief if he didn't do anything vs. the grief he got after doing it. Maybe he was overcompensating because of the weird situation with their marriage which made him look like a cuckold, p-whipped to the extreme. But that toxic situation, again none of her fault?
  17. Danger Zone was a hit single too wasn't it? Take My Breath Away was played to death when the movie was playing and it seemed like got a lot of airplay well after the movie was out of the theaters too.
  18. But do we know how Jada reacted to The Slap that night and the days following? Did she repudiate it then? Or is she just throwing Will under the bus now?
  19. Hmm, I thought people analyzed the video and initially Will was laughing at the crack, then saw Jada not laughing at all, decided to act in a way that he assumed was expected of him. Yeah shouldn't place all the blame on the woman but maybe some of it?
  20. Just got an alert, "Jada Pinkett Smith hopes Will Smith, Chris Rock have "opportunity to heal" and "reconcile" after Oscars." Don't want to use the B word but didn't she instigate The Slap? Heal thyself ...
  21. Quarantines are definitely going away. Starting June 1, several EU nations aren't even checking vaccination status, at least for the summer. But I think more likely, these guests are going to film a charter that is suppose to last 2 days. But typically, they may have to be around as shooting and production schedules could change. Plus they're going to stay for a week or two, rather than fly to Europe for just 2 days of filming and flying back.
  22. I don't know about her other projects but she won't have the control she would have on TFA. For all we know, her other projects are mostly about having her name on the cast list and she doesn't get showcased as much. I don't know what the ratings were like for season 2 but she gets good coverage, probably did late night talk shows that I don't watch. Kind of like Big Little Lies, they grafted a second season because of the popularity and acclaim of the first season. Maybe they want to negotiate a more lucrative deal with the new owners of HBO Max.
  23. It's one thing to rig it for Parsifal to win. But to have a dramatic photo finish? Oh well we'll take their word.😏
  24. George Pelecanos talked to Chris Ryan and Andy Greenwald about WTC and some of the other shows he's worked on with David Simon. They talk about the real life cop on whom they modeled McNulty a bit. Then about cops dealing drugs. Pelecanos says Simon drives an old beat up car so he teases him about spending some of that $100 million that he's worth. That's a surprising number, since they've created shows which are highly acclaimed but not big hits. But they've been doing it for like 20 years now, across a half dozen to a dozen shows. Probably gets residuals and money from things like DVD sales and such. Not to say money makes artists produce inferior work later in life but have they made anything as good as The Wire?
  25. Saw a commercial for The Challenge: CBS featuring players from TAR, Survivor and BB. Sounds like it should be airing soon? Maybe some overlap with All Stars or S38 of the Challenge? But wait, there's more, The Challenge: Shore includes people from The Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Geordie Shore and some other reality dreck I don't watch. There are going to be The Challenge shows in the UK, Argentina and Australia and the players from those shows will combine with players from the CBS Challenge for a War of the Worlds competition to crown the world champion. https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2022/02/challenge-cbs-paramount-plus-all-star-seasons/ Some of these will be on Paramount +, which is starved for content because they don't seem to have much more going on besides The Challenge shows. We're going to need more sub forums or maybe these other Challenge shows need their own forums.
