  1. lol, Hardwick's slip up there was pretty funny. Isn't the guy in the middle from Teen Wolf or sth? So they made that werewolf poll. He was pretty dull but not the worst guest there's been. Just not very dynamic. Mercedes is cool and funny but it annoys me when actors can't accept/admit their characters faults. You can try to justify and twist something all you want, it doesn't make the action any more justified. It's okay to just say "my character was feeling this way and that way so they did this thing which was a very shitty thing to do but hey people can be selfish shitheads sometimes". The surfboard was a neat present finally.
  2. Well yeah, he knew it was theoretically possible but he wasn't going to risk it/the community/Lucianna's + someone else's life. Now he's got Nick's reassurance (whatever that's worth), expendable Nick doing the delivery AND they're more desperate at this point because they're running out of resources, more people are getting sick and so it's worth the risk.
  3. I don't think Madison believed Alicia left. She even argued against it. They were just stuck in that place because infected were swarming outside. Strand and Madison made some 'ew' faces while covering themselves but I totally buy them not puking like Glenn because on TWD they have to put whole organs and limbs over their shoulders for the trick to (barely) work and 2 drops of rain get rid of the smell wheres on Fear apparently a handful of blood works wonders. It didn't look like a lot of walkers in the close-ups but as they were falling the whole pier was full so I can buy that there were like 100-200. They had already cleared out a bunch and some hotel guests must have left the hotel when shit went down. That wasn't the most unbelievable thing I've seen on the show. I think Ofelia might have gone back to the compound to find Daniel (or his body). She might meet up with Travis there if he's left Chris and gone back to look for Madison. I believe Chris said those two episodes were pretaped on the same night because he got married. It made sense for Kim to be there for the second episode so they just used her for the first one as well as Frank couldn't be there anyway. It would be a really bad move on TPTB's part to kill Strand as he's one of the only universally liked characters (not to mention the only black character and with their history of killing black characters...) It's strange because there's so much foreshadowing for Alicia of Madison to die but I'm 100% sure Alicia is safe this season and just can't imagine Madison dying at this point. I don't think the pharmacist NEEDED the demonstration, he was just letting Nick do his little demonstration and assessing him. I think the reason why the pharmacist hadn't thought of this plan before was explained in show: because he thinks like a pharmacist. Nick as a junkie knows the dose doesn't matter to the junkie and they wouldn't necessarily notice something wrong with it.
  4. I actually thought this was a good episode of TD. It looked like everyone was having a good time and there were some good Q&A's. The guests were actually likeable this week (score!) and Chris actually seemed invested in the show rather than faking it. It also helped that the usual segments were back (all the polls, quiz, a call, fanart,...).
  5. He already had to kill his ex-wife and had that dramatic grasping the sand moment. We also already had that moment where he beats down the military guy...I'm kind of over the good guy Travis does bad things for understandable reasons plot. Sure, his son would be next level but still feels like a retread of the same plot point. Apparently he didn't want to hurt them, he just saw the knife and picked it up. Then the gunshot went off at exactly the wrong time. I think Chris is someone with a lot of self hatred so I wouldn't be surprised if he kills himself eventually.
  6. But her leaving and locking the door to call an ambulance for a heartattack would make even less sense than what happened now. And she wouldn't have seen him turn and bite his daughter so why wouldn't she open the door for the screaming people? It would have made her look like an awful person whereas now...with the little knowledge she had (rumors on the internet), what she saw with her own eyes and her other hotel guests to think about...her actions make sense. I thought the emphasis on Alicia saying her mother would die for her was a bit weird. Wouldn't most mothers die for their children? Especially in light of Madison being careless enough to get drunk and lament having children at all. Curious to see the further breakdown of that relationship.
  7. The dozen wedding guests have a right to be pissed for being locked in I suppose, but I rolled my eyes at the accusing tone of "she should be dead like my husband and daughter" line. Uhm, your husband died of a heart attack and bit your daughter's face off. Elena wasn't to blame for that part. And I feel like Elena with the axe and Alicia with her knife could have definitely taken them without handing over the keys. They were barely armed and (other than the groom) looked scared shitless. I agree with those who feel like there's no suspense even in the 'scary scenes' because the characters are wearing plot armor. I don't want to lose Strand and Madison having a secret bite would be too similar to how Liza died but both of them (and Alicia this episode) escaping unscathed is too unrealistic. They need some red shirts around to feed the wasted but can't seem to hold onto their characters long enough to bother to kill them off (Hey Tobias, Alex, Jack where are you at).
  8. It was the intro so I had no desire to wait around with these irrelevant people for five minutes while the guy turns. I'm good with how things went down. It introduced us to the relevant character and brought the point across of the horrible thing that happened. There is no definite timetable and we have no idea how people become carriers so it's all very much possible. Besides, they've heard rumors and the mother knew what was going on elsewhere so this has been going on a little while. Nice to get a little break from Nick. Don't really care all that much where Ofelia is. Annoyed that they skipped Madison and Strand's houdini act. Nice to see Alicia in action. Like the new character. Both her and Luciana are awesome so probably one or both are going to die eventually. Chris/Travis was more interesting than I was expecting. All in all, decent episode! The hotel is an awesome setpiece. Much more interesting than the Abigail.
  9. Oké so maybe they couldn't get (or are saving for later) Cliff, Lorenzo or Alycia but did they have to settle for NotKevin?? A writer, props person, stunt coordinator or something would have been better considering how much of it was in this episode and they might have had something interesting to say for once. Chris is making this show all kinds of awkward too with his bad questions and fake enthusiasm. Get it together, man. You may not like it as much as TWD but it's your damn job to fake it till you make it.
  10. Does Toby have to get into a random car accident every season? It's like the writers write their episodes, check the character board and realize they left his character hanging somewhere so they just throw a car accident in there. Isn't this like the third time??!! Noel's beheading was so hilarious I spent that whole scene laughing. What the actual fuck? I can't believe (actually, I can) they managed to make 2 of the creepiest characters so ridiculous. What even is their motivation? The brilliant part about creepy Jenna is precisely that the Liars were always in the wrong when it comes to her and that she was justified in her hatred for them. Why this suddenly 5 years later over CHARLOTTE of all people. Those Cece/Jenna interactions make no damn sense. With how offensive this show is, I wouldn't be surprised if Alison got inseminated that one time AD kidnapped her in the nuthouse (rolling the bed into the light) with Emily's eggs and Charlotte's sperm. Please show, do not bring Ian the Milkman back. Let us have that one thing without ruining it.
  11. Jeesh that bite looks gnarly. Yeah but I mean walkers were able to turn doorknobs at one point so I'm willing to let this one slide ;) I wish they had shown some infected chained along the fence though as a means to keep the others away from it since they're aware of the smell trick. There has to be another way in the Colonia (someone was wondering how they got the carts inside) because Nick came in another way. I wonder how that side is protected because Nick walked right in and Luciana + 2 scouts aren't much protection against an armed gang. The Abigail is gone so how are we going to catch up with Alex and Jack? I can't imagine that was the last we saw of them. Or are they somehow going to end up on their boat by the end of the season and head to Madison's family farm in Alabama then trek their way to Georgia for some cameos.
  12. You could faintly hear the sound of the piano in the background so they were following the racket Drunk and Drunker were making - which was loud enough to attract all the infected in the city. It amused me that Madison started throwing glasses agains the wall because in season 1 when Chris and Alicia broke into that house to play dress up, Alicia threw her bottle of wine against the wall. Like mother like daughter. And like father like son. Still not completely clear on what exactly happened to the dad. I believe in one of the interviews recently (or was it on the talking dead?), the actress who plays Luciana mentioned Dave Erickson wasn't pleased with the way the blood was so prettily and carefully brushed on her face and that there was a lot of backstage discussion on that topic. Nick had to walk quite a ways from the living area to the wall so I think there's a bit of space between the fence and where the people actually stay so the zombies wouldn't be interested until everyone's at the fence chanting to attract them, feed them and then people scatter. Maybe if they're fed on the regular they're not as feral as when they're hungry. The bite is interesting. Curious to find out if it's the real deal or not because that certainly changes the game. I get distracted easily when they're explaining the spiritual beliefs but I think they're waiting for the dead to walk to their final resting place and then the survivors are the chosen ones to start the world anew? So they think this situation is a temporary thing to get through and let's all just give the dead a bit of space to do their thing and find their way. I suppose it's easier to have that kind of hope when MiracleMan is your leader. Nick is a little shit. I still enjoy it for now but there has to be a comeuppance by the end of the season. He can't keep doing shit like that and survive. Poor Alicia. And way to stand guard Ofelia...She is so lost but throwing out random facts about her past and giving her two lines/episode isn't gonna make me care for the character. She's been the most neglected so far. Hope Alicia and Ofelia get a little bit of attention in the next few episodes. And I've had enough of Nick for a while. I groaned when they opened the episode with him again after last week's Nickfest. Haven't missed Travis and Chris at all and not looking forward to their return. Never cared much for Travis and Chris is only interesting when he's creeping his family out. That duo is the most uninteresting pairing possible.
  13. If Jason wanted to convince Aria, he should have played on her photographer side. At least PLL mentioned an actual country and not just 'Africa' like a lot of shows do. Nice of Noel to mention Shower Harvey died in the Shower just in case the viewer missed the joke when it happened. All of these winks at the audience and trying to please everyone by giving us "what we want" (Jaria, Paily AND Emison, Spaleb, dollhouse revisited, shower dead, Jenna and Noel back and involved,...and so many throwbacks throughout the season) is getting old. All the usual couples are going to end up together, the girls are acting more stupid than ever and the plot makes zero sense. Instead of revisiting the greatest hits and trying to please everybody, they should have tried to come up with a semi-decent mystery unrelated to all of that crap to wrap up this season. We've barely even seen any parents and everything feels so damn forced. The most simple scene could be so fuckin creepy in the early seasons but now they try so damn hard it's so bad. It used to be on the good side of campy but they went overboard on 'not taking themselves too seriously'. Even the chemistry between the PLL's doesn't feel right. So are Emily and Alison going to be teaching at the high school for PLL the New Class? Lucy and Troian are the ones most unlikely to return and the door would be open for Guest appearances by Ashley Benson if she builds her fashion business in Rosewood. But seriously, I can't with the stupidity. Did Spencer really fall for the car alarm trick? Why didn't they make copies for all of the liars and a dozen more just in case? Why didn't they immediately go to Caleb (or Mona) so he could safely put it on the cloud and the cloud's cloud and another hundred frickin clouds??? Aaaarrggghhhhh I can't anymore. Best moment was Hanna clocking Noel over the head. At least she's consistent in her dumb ideas and the execution is amazing to watch. Most unbelievable moment (and there were many) was Paige not knowing which locker used to be Emily's. Please, like you didn't creep on her for 4 years.
  14. It's different because on TWD it was the girl and Hershel who were seen as delusional and 'in the wrong'. She was a stupid kid and he was a mourning old man who couldn't let go of his family. But the group showed them the way or dealt with them 'properly'. In FTWD it's a whole belief system that entire communities live by. It's not 'wrong', it's just how they see it. I think Nick's turnaround and the whole arc at Celia's compound was way too abrupt. Everything happened so quickly but that seems to be the modus operandi for these shows. Nothing happens for the filler episodes and then shit goes down. But I think they will be able to explore the characters more indepth in 2B and hopefully we'll become more invested in them. I've got my faves but I'll admit I'm still pretty indifferent on half the cast. I think the tediousness in TWD is easier to overlook when you're invested in the characters which isn't the case yet for FTWD. As for Nick's smile...I think he smiled because the dead came through for him. He had a similar expression when they were going for the kill on the gangster. They're his 'protectors' and I suppose he feels vindicated in his beliefs.
  15. That's a fascinating idea, but I don't think they have the balls to make their 'anti-hero' Nick a bad guy. Feels more like he's on some big journey to becoming the best version of himself before he dies a hero or becomes the leader of the group. Would be a nice bait and switch though because everyone's been calling Chris the sociopath. Hmm, I could see goodguy!Travis becoming a governer type if he loses Chris.
  16. Well, it was mentioned in the pilot I think that Alicia aced Spanish and could teach that class so there may be hope for them yet ;) Wow, y'all are harsh on this show lol. Was I disappointed they decided to start the season with a solo-Nick episode? Yes. But I enjoyed it a lot more than some of the Walking Dead character centric episodes. I was a little bored at times but that's always the case with these types of episodes. That's why it was a bad move as a premiere but it was not bad per se imo. Don't understand when people rag on the show for being the low budget copy but then when there is a different concept like not viewing the dead as monsters, people rag on that too. It's something new to explore... I'm kinda waiting for this invincibility kick to bite Nick in the ass though. Have a feeling Nick or Chris is going to die in the finale.
  17. By pulling a lever, obviously. The choice will be using The One Anti-nuclear Meltdown Device Raven manages to scrounge together to shutdown 6 plants and save thousands of grounders OR use it to shut down the one plant closest to her merry band of skaikru. It is a doozy because as the new commander she has pledged to protect all of the people. She does the unthinkable and actually lets the skypeople die but they miraculously survive because of A) Raven or B) Bellamy except for 1 person: Abby. And so Clarke's neverending cycle of pain and suffering continues. Before she can even shed a tear, she is faced with the latest problem: a supervirus that is spreading fast because of the close quarters they are stuck in. Of course Superdoctor Abby can no longer figure it out because she's dead. Also: Miller and Jackson have died sometime in the season, Raven lost an eye because of reasons, Bellamy held Clarke's hand a bunch of times as Jason tries to figure out the appropritate amount of time to wait for Clarke to jump his bones post-Lexa, Jasper tries to help Octavia through her issues because he knows, Luna dies after giving them access to her submarine (hey, here are some new parts for Raven's Convenient Device), Indra makes heart-eyes at Kane (set up for S5 cuz Abby is dead), Harper keeps ignoring that Monty is gay for Jasper and after Roan is wasted in 5 minutes despite being awesome and surviving his bulletwound, Azgeda remembers they hate Clarke and Trikru and want revenge for the Ice Queen and Ontari. Azgeda is marching South to attack as people are getting sick and dropping like flies. Sounds familiar...We need some Rocket Fuel, STAT! Whew, there it is. Season 4.
  18. Yeah, me neither. That whole scene left me pretty meh. They have sizzling chemistry when they're talking/teasing and having that back and forth banter, but this whole romance angle seems too forced and it's leaving me cold. It doesn't help that Hanna/Jordan seems so fake. I don't know if it's Ashley Benson's expressed displeasure at this direction clouding my judgment of her acting, but it all seems so fake. Hanna/Caleb were the real deal and even though I never shipped them per se, they were like the parents in a sitcom: you expect them to always be together. Even when Caleb was written off for his own show, Haleb was still endgame. I can't believe Shower Harvey is still a thing and they retconned their finale that LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED. If they were planning on doing this, why not at least have it be a little ambigious in the finale? There was no time for that whole scene to have happened! Wtf??? I mean, a brain bleed from Emily's punch or Emily's jewelry scratching her cornea leaving her half blind would have made more sense. How are the producers not too embarrassed to leave their house after putting this garbage out there? Jennathing was campy fun, Shower is just horribly embarrassing. Basically, we can't trust anything we see because the writers can decide at any time to invent whatever having happened in a scene too that we just didn't see at the time. And not even in flashback scenes that one could argue are tainted by the reteller, but just regular ol' live scenes the viewer is witnessing! If you thought it couldn't get worse than creative license or liberty or however they said it to explain a 10-year age difference...
  19. Yeah, that would be pretty neat. I can already imagine the S4Bish finale "Ali tells all - Part II" recounting that night and everyone Charlotte met up with at that church. Like Alison got up in the middle of the night, checked on Charlotte and discovered she wasn't there. She walked around town for a while looking for Charlotte. She witnessed her conversations with the likes of Ezra and Shower before accidentaly on purpose wacking her on the back of her head. Someone else staged the suicide scene though because of course they did and they used the flowers to taunt Alison and let her know they know what she did. But oops, Charlotte wasn't actually dead before falling off the church and gosh darnit Melissa, you did it again because you just had to go and confront Charlotte to protect your mom's campaign and woopsie deadbody alert and down she goes just like Ian who got pushed off the church by Alison that one time and actually did commit suicide and there we go round circle with Mona as A just because Spencer stole Caleb from Hanna!! Wait so who DID kill Mrs D? We'll find out in Marlene's post-season interview!
  20. Some parts of her recaps are still amusing, but the harping on Charlotte's murder is getting tiresome and will get more so if it continues as the season progresses...I too get the issue with that writer's choice but it's done. We all knew it was gonna happen and there's nothing we can do about it now. Trying to whitewash Charlotte's crimes and put her in the same slot as innocent trans women who are victims of senseless murder simply for being who they are is a completely inaccurate comparison and kinda makes HH sound like irrational ezria shippers who whitewash all of Ezra's wrongdoings simply because they have taken that stand and are on that side and darn all the evidence on the contrary. And I like Mona too, but it's pretty hypocritical to praise the Vanderjesus on one hand and crucify Ezra on the other when they are both just as guilty of stalking the girls with a dash of murder and harrassment on Mona's side. I have more of a problem with 3 new hunky love interests being introduced and again all of them suffering from boring white guy syndrome. A little color wouldn't hurt, PLL casting team.
  21. The Alison theory is interesting, but the new bad guy is being referred to as a 'he'. Of course that could be a misdirect, but would they do the pronoun switcheroo again? And then there's that interview with Marlene where she says Alison was a candidate for the casket. So there must have been another bad guy who killed Alison and I don't think that would have been Charlotte. Alison's upgrade to the title song also indicates she's been promoted to real Liar status and is probably one of the tortured and not the torturer. The fact that Marlene and co backed out of killing her and the pairing off that happens when all the OTP's are together are indications that emison may actually be endgame and that too couldn't happen if Alison is the ultimate bad guy. Man, I miss resourceful Ali though. From the sounds of Sasha's interviews hoping that she has ulterior motives for getting married seems futile unless even she doesn't know about it yet and it gets revealed in S7... There's that promo of Emily in the hospital that's intriguing. Makes me think it's something bigger than a clinical trial...A serious illness would be a serious bummer but they are grown ups now with grown up problems. And Emily has always been the one who gets the short end of the stick and has to deal with real life consequences be it a dead girlfriend, dead parent or a dream-ending shoulder injury.
  22. It would be kinda neat if one of the Liars DID kill Charlotte. Preferably Spencer or Hanna because the show has to end with all of them having killed someone. So one of them killed Charlotte and the other will kill the new NotA. Even if they get caught, they have to be able to plead temporary insanity, crime of passion, ptsd, self defence or my-dad-was-an-asshole-syndrome. Spencer can even use the Radley fucked me up defence. If Charlotte and Sara can get off practically scot-free, it should totally be possible to get away with that. I saw an interesting theory on tumblr about Emily's disease. So sorry I can't credit the right person, but I can't find the link anymore. It was that Emily has MS and it definitely sounds plausible. But if that's the case, the writers are writing themselves in another pickle...If the liars all get to ride off into the sunset with their OTP and Emily the lesbian character has to live with an incurably disease...that will possibly leave her paralyzed or blind down the line. Hey, maybe Jenna/Emily IS finally gonna happen when they meet again in the institute for the visually impaired...
  23. Maybe she had escaped by the time the whole rooftop scene was over and the liars realized all of their secrets and illegal shit they've done are in the harddrives at the Carrisimi group future spaceship place and that if she gets to them it might still not be over. They jump in the car, screech away and in their hurry they run her over...
  24. One of the reasons that I can put up with a lot from this show that has made me quit a ton of other teen shows is that there was none of the usual boyfriend switching. I'm on the fence too but the more I think about it the more I'm against it. I just don't want them to go there. Out of all the endgame couples, Haleb is the most inevitable. A Spaleb thing would just make things awkward or end up getting erased like so many plotlines so what's the point. It also seemed almost too obvious but these days I don't know anymore if that means it's a misdirect or if the show is just that unsubtle. I'll probably change my mind a million times but for now I'm betting on Kenneth Dilaurentis as the killer.
  25. I think it has to be something else because why would anyone care that they punched her in the face considering she was arming a bomb to blow them up...There wasn't really any time to do anthing because they were running after Alison and Charlotte unless they all stepped on her hands on the way out and crushed them or something... Alison's request was pretty unreasonable but I'll give her a pass because it was to jumpstart the plot. And let's not forget that she was also traumatized by everything that has happened. If anything, I blame the psychiatrists more - both Alison's and Charlotte's - because 5 years is way to soon for unsupervised release and they should have tried to temper Alison's expectations rather than feed them. Alison's abandonment issues and desperation for any sort of family is something that she should have continued working on in therapy rather than marrying the therapist. Are the Hastings back together or is Peter just helping out Veronica because they are on good terms? What college did Mike settle on and whatever happened to Mike/Mona? Are Alison and Ella colleagues now and how awkward is that?
