Sadly, this i untrue. With the prison system being what it is, you often hear stories of people being at Riker’s for years. In a previous job, I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Riker’s and the roommate of the person I was visiting had been there about three years. Isn’t The Wire set in Baltimore? I mean, Marlo could have gone to NY at series end, but somehow, that takes the punch out of it. Although I am certain he was cast for The Wire nostalgia, as I too recognized him immediately. Also, Ainsley was always obviously off to me. But then again, I think the ME is a serious killer waiting to happen.

S06.E10: We're Not Getting Away With It

I don’t think that was Wes, I think that’s going to be Christopher and Annalise’s death will be years from now. If it is Wes, then that means the last what, three or four seasons were a complete waste of time. I would prefer a show that lasted too long to a show that should have ended after the first season. -

Watching this show limp to the finish line, I have to say that strategic errors on the part of the show runners is biting them in the ass. 1) Nate should have been gone. The actor is horrible and the character has long since overstayed his welcome. 2) Gabriel, just, no. A pointless character played by an awful actor. Dear show, when you need to bring in a bootleg Wes, that means you didn’t think out the long-term impact killing real Wes would have. Wes was not my favorite of the kids, but he was that grounding influence an ensemble piece like this needs. Since his absence, the other core 5 kids have floundered. 3) In support of point 2, I no longer care what happens to any of them, including Oliver. I doubt this is how the show wants me to feel. I should care about who killed Asher. I should miss Laurel. I should care if Connor, Michaela and Oliver get out of this , wind up dead, or end up in jail. Sadly, I don’t care. 4) The only people I care about are Annalise, Bonnie, Frank and Tegan. They are the only ones I have any positive feelings for. To quote the Micheal Jordan meme, “Fuck them kids.” -
I was thinking that killing LeRoux is how she became possessed, the demon left LeRoux and entered her.

I have Ben feeling as if this season is the send off to the show, but, you’re probably right and Ray Donovan is on its way to becoming Showtime’s Supernatural. As for Daryl, the show Pooch Hall was previously on, The Game, is being rebooted, so he might have opted to leave, or at the very least might have been good with being written out of the show.

I have no sympathy for Asher. He went out as the same spineless, entitled, PoS, white-man who put himself above others that he was when the show first started. Is this the show’s commentary on trusting white men. I literally hate Nate and Bootleg Wes and would love the series to end with them getting Ashered. I assume that Wes will be revealed to be Christopher. If that is not the case, Wes and presumably Laurel and Annalise pulled the ultimate and cruelest con. Speaking of Laurel, I didn’t miss her one bit. Will we ever get a resolution to the question of whether she killed her mother, or was this revealed during one of the MANY FF worthy moments of this season. I hate seeing a show I used to love limp so miserably to the finish line of its inevitable demise.

S06.E05: We're All Gonna Die
Happytobehere replied to Bort's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
My problem with this season remains that the only people I care about are Annalise, Bonnie (please don’t fall for Frank’s sudden declarations of love, you deserve better), Frank (and his never-ending stupidity is causing that to diminish at a mind-numbing rate) and Teagan. Sadly we keep getting bottom-basement Wes, the increasingly obnoxious Michaela, Asher of white privilege (don’t forget your ass is a a murderer), I have long stopped paying attention to Connor, I never liked Nate, and the Laurel chronicles. So yes, I want the series to end with at least one murder, sadly none of the characters I want killed off will die. -

I am 1000% #TeamGabi in this entire fiasco and I don't even buy this supposed great love between her and Stefan (they have chemistry and with time, they could have been a compelling couple -- I also thought that Gabi and Ei worked as a couple, but Days Daysed it up, as I knew they would). From Julie's awful treatment of Gabi, to Lani and the Gang's vitriol towards Gabi, to Kayla's behavior, to Lani making Gabi's moment of trauma all about Lani and what will make Lani feel better, to Hope/Eli/et al practically salivating over the prospect of getting Stefan's heart, with no regard to Gabi's emotional state, I too would let Julie pass on because neither Julie, nor her loved ones have shown that they are deserving of the happiness they feel so entitled to (that Horton arrogance infected Eli real quick didn't it). Everyone has been positively despicable. If Stefan's heart is to go to another, it should be another with a reasonable life expectancy, which given her age and her health, Julie is not. -

Julie's character was blatantly racist when David was involved with Valerie, hence her never knowing about Eli's existence. That's part of the reason why her despicable comments towards and about Gabi are right in line for her character. I acknowledge that I have been in and out of viewership for a while now, but during my consistent viewing and my views upon my return, the character has never really apologized or made amends for her actions. Sadly, even if she did apologize to Valerie and Eli, given the circumstances David is now dead, she barely has a relationship with her other grandson, I'd question the veracity of her contrition. -

I really didn't like Kayla for that. I was neither professional nor compassionate. -

She looks like an ode to plastic surgery to me. It is so bad, I can't really enjoy her scenes because I wind up feeling bad that the actress felt the need to do this to herself. -

Hopefully the show goes this route because I don't think them showing all but dead Julie is a coincidence. -
So far, I'm liking this season and hope the series goes out on a high note. I like how even as it ends, Wes remains in the mix. I hope those of you predicting the Annalise is not really going to die, but will instead fake her death are right; I would hate for that to happen. My hope is that she, Bonnie and Frank escape and wind up somewhere happy together and far away from the awful Keating 5. Although both Frank and Bonnie are murders, so maybe Annalise needs to get away from everyone while somehow letting the two who would care the most strongly suspect she is still among the living, ala House. I still don't like Gabriel, so his relationship with Michaela only increases my intolerance for her.

I love how Will made his plea to Rolf to save Kate and opted to not tell Kate, Lucas or Kayla upon Kate’s miraculous recovery. If Will stands by and allows his grandmother to go after Kayla, or allow her to think the worst of Kayla if she does not sue, it will speak volumes for his character. I can’t with unable to have children, old enough to be 40 year-old Brady’s mother, yet miraculously pregnant Kristen. Why is it that absent her scenes with Xander, I can’t find a way or a desire to like Sarah. Now this character is a villain in waiting, either that, or she’s the poster child for what happens when you allow perpetual, life-sucking depression to rule your existence. -

I liked today’s episode. I continue to dislike RS as Vivian. While I agree that someone’s Julie’s age should not get an organ before a person with a longer expected lifespan, we know Julie will not die. My guess, somehow Rolf transplants the conveniently evil and now even more conveniently deceased doctor’s heart into Julie; lack of consent and the fact that he was dead before Rolf could get to him be damned. Of course, people will believe it was some miracle action until Julie starts plotting against Kayla, obsessing over Jen and trying to destroy her newly united relationship with Jack. See, this is what happens when you make matters of life and death a running joke; the most preposterous ideas seem perfectly reasonable. -
My only desire for this series end was Annalise happy and away from those murdering parasites, but evidently, she dies. As long as everyone else goes down with her I can at least get a semi-happy resolution. Bootleg Wes still bores and the actor is lucky he is pretty. Frank, let’s work on being less pathetic; it’s not a good look Laurel does not love or want to be with you.

I came back for Steve’s return, but if any of these spoilers are true, there is no point in even sticking around for the time jump because I certainly won’t be watching these stories unfold.

Dear Hope, You are wondering what kind of person Gabi is to leave an old woman in the park to die. I’m wondering what kind of person murders an old man (F that retcon, we all know what you did), disposes of his body by burying him where he will never be found and allows an innocent person to be arrested for her crimes. It’s always so lovely to see Kayla; too bad we can’t see her in a storyline of her own that doesn’t involve her being the punching bag for the neverr-ending ish-storm that Steve brings upon her. It is also good seeing Lucas, another character who is consistently devalued. I love Robin Strasser, but she, is much like Kassie DePava, woefully miscast in her Days role. I actually don’t like Sarah on her own or with Eric, but I dig her when she is paired with Xander. -

Yes, I know when Victor arrived on the scene. Heck, I remember when Beauregard Aurelius Brady was Marcus Aurelius Brady. My point was Victor made the statement as someone who had first-hand knowledge of all the Doug’s issues with Bo and what Bo might have done to be looked down on, and that was not the case. My focus was more on the writers once again reimagining the past to fit the scene they have scripted because they assume we the viewers either do not know or have forgotten what actually took place. -

While I agree with the statement, what Victor said carries no weight because his character didn’t even exist on the show back then. Maggie’s comparison of her relationship with multiple murder, multiple arrested murderer Victor was more appropriate, and notice how Victor poo-pood that. As someone who has watched off and on since the 70s. I have always been able to hold on to fond past memories of Julie and refrain from hating her. Well, those days are over. Julie is the absolute worst. She is a shrill, hateful, harpie, who is undeserving of the heart of some poor soul who decided to help mankind by donating his/her organs. I did like Eli being willing to give Gabi the benefit of the doubt and standing up for her with Lani. Are we sure that Lani of the bad wigs isn’t Julie’s grandchild and Eli isn’t Abe’s son? Their personalities begs the question. -

Also, even if we were to assume the Mayor had such powers, kidnapping and transporting people across state lines is a federal crime (as the many former feds/international spies must know). So Jack keeps his part of the bargain and they bring in the feds to haul Kristen's bottom-feeding behind out of Salem and off to jail. -

Are Sarah's declarations of wanting what is best for Eric and allowing him to be with Nicole through a river of never-ending tears supposed to make me feel sorry for/root for her? It might be me getting harsh in my old age; the acting; or the rinse and repeat nature of the storyline; but I am not feeling it or Sarah. If you choose to have your baby fine. I'm sure the story will be Sarah not telling Eric because she doesn't want to be a burden ands she doesn't want him to abandon his true love, which will cause I'm to grow to hate her and their baby. But neither Sarah nor Eric are teenagers, nor are they star-crossed lovers. Be an adult and find a way to work out a co-parenting system with Eric. Anything less will have me rolling my eyes. What it will not do is have me root for Sarah or a Sarah and Eric reunion. Dear stupid Dorivan, you should know better than to swear someone is deader than dead and not returning to Salem; such a proclamation all but guarantees said dead person's immediate resurrection. It looks like the show is setting up Gabi versus Lani. #TeamGabi for the win. Only downside to the battle is Rafe will be shoe-horned into this storyline in addition to whatever else is being cooked up for GG, whom TPTB seem to think is a bonafide leading man, playing a character most people care about. -

I might actually be interested in a Gabi/Lani feud where neither is bad (I like Gabi) nor nice (I’ve never been fond of Lani), but where it’s two gray characters where your support for and animus towards pivots between the characters. Maybe Lani uses this incident and people’s negative perception of Gabi in her schemes. This could be used to free Eli of the albatross that is Lani because they do not work as a couple. Overall, I thought today’s episode was solid. I didn’t feel the need to ff through anything. I especially appreciated the acknowledgement that at her age, Julie would not be placed on the transplant list. Given Bill and Susan’s advanced ages and real life status, I wonder if scenes like today’s are especially hard to play.
