  1. Not exactly. It was a quid pro quo. Right now The North needs Dany more than she needs The North. They need her armies, her dragons, and the dragonglass that sits under Dragonstone. In exchange for all that, Jon agreed that the North would back Dany’s claim to the throne over Cersei’s. The North definitely got the better end of that deal. The North is already unprepared to fight the Night King and his army, Jon had it right in 7/2, they need powerful allies. And assuming they defeat the Night King, Dany’s army and dragons are going to be doing most of fighting / be on the frontlines. Jon didn’t give up their independence, they’ve already lost it. Jon is smart enough to recognize though that it’s Dany not Cersei who would be okay with the North having independence - she just wants them to acknowledge her as queen. Cersei on the other hand wants complete, total, and full submission. There’s a difference.
  2. Robert may have for Lyanna. At the very least I think Robert husband of Lyanna would have been a very different man then Robert husband of Cersei. There’s a great scene in Season One that I’ll neber forget. Conversation between Cersei and Robert and Robert basically admits that a lot of his behavior, screwing around, drinking, Seven kingdoms, etc was all about trying to fill a hole / void (Lyanna) and admits that it’s never worked. It’s the same scene where he admits he doesn’t even remember what Lyanna looked like. What is it someone said earlier? Ideal of something/someone is better than reality. Same could be said of Littlefinger and his love for Catelyn, he had an idealized / romanticized version of her stick in his psyche. Robert never moved on from Lyanna because he was stuck in the past and thinking what if. That’s a sad place for anyone to be in, so it’s no surprise that he was a nasty nasty man. In regards to Ned resigning over Roberts order to kill a pregnant Dany, I’m torn. Part of me thinks this was more of Ned not wanting Dany dead because at the very least it gave Robert something to focus on. Let’s say he kills the last Targaryean and because he still isn’t over Lyanna starts to obsess over other details and then before you know it he finds out about Jon. Making sure Dany stayed alive and as a focus of Robert’s vengeance/obsession was very smart.
  3. I hope we get an epic scene that involves those with Valeryian steel swords facing off against some of the larger / older white walkers. How great would it be to see Jon Snow, Brienne of Tarth, and Jamie Lannister facing off against a trio of white walkers. Also do we know the fate of Heartsbane? Still with Sam? Any other known Valeryian steel swords hanging out waiting to reappear as a convienent plot decide? Also it took me five books, seven television seasons, and 20 years to realize that this whole thing is all about Jon. All.About.Jon. I assumed it was Dany and Jon but nope, Jon is fire and ice. In the end no matter what happens, he’ll be the undisputed hero of the story. It seens to me a a lot of stuff is coming full circle. I predict Cersei will either die a gruesome death or she will be the one to die after giving birth to a dwarf, just like the brother she hates. Jamie will probably die too and the only surviving Lannisters will be Tyrion the dwarf and his nephew the dwarf; that would be very poetic considering Tywin and Cersei’s treatment of Tyrion his whole life. Dany/Jon seem to be reliving Lyanna/Rhaegar with a gender reversal, but this time instead of a Stark - Targaryen romance sparking war and destruction, it will help save Westeros and usher in some new more “modern” type era. Death toll is going to be through the roof next year / 2019 but of the main / semi-main characters, I hope Ned’s remaining children live, along with Drogon, Ghost, Edd, Jon/Dany, Brienne, Davos, GW/Messendei, Brienne, Sam and co., Pod, Yara, Lyanna Mormont, and Tormund.
  4. I gotta disagree here. House Lannister is one of the least civilized houses. Just for starters: Jamie shoved a child out of a window paralyzing him for life and prior to this season it ended with Cersei blowing up the Great Sept of Baelor. It doesn't get more uncivilized than that. Cersei killing out of fear of losing power is no different than Ramsey Bolton killing to instill fear in people. Both are psychopaths. And in Cersei's case her idiotic decisions can be directly attributed to the death of her son Tommen and to an extent the death of Joffrey. She was his primary caregiver and raised him to be a little beast.
  5. Agreed on the part about Dany and Jon. Cersei is outnumbered and she has no real power at this point, other than being on The Iron Throne. Instead of asking they should have said this is how it's going to be and we can re-evaluate where we are after we defeat The Night King and his army. At this point, Cersei is beyond delusional. She ain't keeping that throne, the sooner she realizes it or someone forces her to realize the better off Westeros will be. The woman is living on borrowed time at this point. Jon and the Northern Army along with Dany and her Dothraki, Unsullied, and Dragons have the upper hand here.
  6. I'm guessing Dany will get pregnant by Jon. My guess? It all goes back to season one and how the Dragons were born. Life for a life. She considers the dragons her children and now that one is dead, she will have a baby - life for a life. I'm guessing Jon being a Targaryean may have something to do with it as well. Those two do seem to be drawn to each other and he got up close and personal with Drogon. The show is trowing anvils left and right, I'm thinking he will also ride Rheagal (named after his father). I love this show but it is quite predictable, so I'd be more shocked if this didn't happen.
  7. Drogon better survive, that’s all I got.
  8. Wait, so everyone is good now because Jeremiah is dead. Well alrighty then. Dumb show continues to be dumb.
  9. Exactly! Except, that's why I find the whole storyline kind of stupid. I'd go take over the Reznick's place or some fancy farm. I sure as shit wouldn't be camping it out in a tent on some disputed land. We could all have our parcels. As for Madison, her actions aren't protecting her kids. That seems to be something that she is incapable of comprehending. Her actions are hurting her kids and everyone around her. Her problem is not that she isn't emotional enough, her problem is she is too emotional but hides it under an icy exterior. In the last two hours alone, she's made at least a half a dozen mistakes that have made the probability of all out war with Walker and his people more likely; that is not keeping her kids safe. She's delusional. Strand better not die, that's all I have to say at this point. Surprise cast member? Someone must be dying!
  10. Am I the only one disturbed that this show has basically turned into a race war between Whites and Native American's/First People's. A part of me thinks that is probably how things would devolve in a real ZA because people like their tribes, but I'd like to think people would actually try to work together to save humanity. That is a zombie show that I would watch. Give me someone to root for other than the zombies please. For now, I guess I'll take Walker........
  11. It's official, Madison is a worse leader than Rick! Yet again, she has set off a chain of events that is going to everyone except the main cast killed. LOL. I just cannot with her. Alicia is an idiot, just like her mom, Nick though is smart. He gets things. They'd probably fair better with him in charge.
  12. I actually don't think he wants Diana or Kelly; I think that was classic mis-direction. He's been after the stick the whole time. This all started with Nick using the stick.
  13. Noooo. Seriously? Wu and Hank? I'm guessing the stick won't work since it is part of the staff and they were killed by the staff. Plus in the previews Nick was pissed. Yeah, their dead and I'm pissed. They should have killed Juliette and Trubel. I figured Monroe and Rosalee are safe. I still cannot believe they killed Hank and Wu. Damn.
  14. I'm so over Rosita. Girl is unhinged. Everyone has lost someone, you don't see Maggie going on suicide missions. Jeez.
  15. I'm over this Neegan story and I'm done with Dwight and that whole crew. Can't they all just die? What the heck is up with these people? They are all so cowardly and disgusting -- I can't even feel sorry for them anymore. Ugh. This shit is boring, the Negan storyline played much better in the comics.
  16. I don't know. This storyline is rubbing me the wrong way. I'm still trying to figure out how Annalise, who has never killed anyone is in jail while all these other murdering cats: Wes, Asher, Bonnie are running free.
  17. Hmm. I'm calling it first. Wes isn't dead.
  18. Nah. The Saviors are all followers. They would fall apart without Negan to lead them. They'd simply line up behind some other common bully. It would just take one person, saying I'm in charge now and they'd get in line. Or they make thank whoever takes out Negan; the men in particular impotent against Negan (he'll take your wife if he wants her); they are all just a bunch of cowards. Comfortable cowards. They'd rather let Negan treat them like shit and in turn abuse other people because they are convinced that he alone can keep them safe.
  19. I'm so over The Saviors. They are nothing but a bunch of bullies. Like seriously, if one person had stood up to Negan in the beginning things would have been different. But the bullied just take on the characteristics of the bully and go around bullying other people. Rosita is an idiot but I also admire her gumption; too bad she is such a shitty shot. Sasha would have made that shot.
  20. Maddy and Travis are the worst. Alicia too. Both Andres and Oscar are now dead because of these idiots. Unbelievable. I hope this isn't the last of Victor though, love him.
  21. Ugh. I'm annoyed that Oscar died. Nick was right last season. These people are dangerous, they ruin everything. They are just as bad as Camp Dinner Bell. Maybe even worse.
  22. Still not feeling Emily Swallow's portrayal of Amara. Some of the younger actresses were better; I would be more afraid of them than adult Amara. It is nice to see though that they gave her a better bra.
  23. That baby at the end, who I am guessing was supposed to be Annalise's son, was freaking adorable!! That's all I got for now. I'll have to re-watch tomorrow on Hulu and digest & process everything.
  24. Am I the only who gets the impression that Kate and Richie might somehow end up together. The last scene of the second season appeared to be a callback to Richie's vision of Kate when he first saw her in the pool. And Kate was responsible for her own death in my opinion. Everyone tried to help her but in her quest to save Scott she made some dumbass decisions; don't know why everyone was blaming Richie.
