  1. No, she really hasn’t. There’s nothing in the lead up that she suggests that she’s mad. Also, Sansa is just spiteful. And shouldn’t everyone be worried about Jon going mad? He is after all a Targ. This show.
  2. So who set Dany up? How did Euron know exactly when they’d be headed back to Dragonstone? Also, tonight’s episode totally proved that Dany is smart - she knew exactly what would happen when Jon told the Starks about his heritage. Dany deserves better, but strong women must be broken.
  3. Jon Snow really knows nothing. Dany totally called it bless her heart. She should have listened to Oleana and Yara from the start. She’d probably still have three dragons, Jorah, and her bestie.
  4. But that’s the whole thing, there hasn’t been a build up to her being so corrupted by power that it’s that specifically that causes her to fail or falter. Someone who is only interested in power for powers sake, would have attacked King’s Landing with her three dragons when she still had the backing of Dorne, The Iron Islands, and High Garden. She didn’t. And I’m sorry but a few throw away lines about her potentially being “mad” like are father don’t count. It’s cheap and lazy. I’m someone who doesn’t expect there to be a throne in the end - and I certainly didn’t expect Dany to be in it on the off chance there was. What I didn’t expect was for someone who has been characterized as not mad, willing to help others, willing to make sacrifices, and willing to learn from her mistakes to suddenly have to be out down like a mad dog.
  5. This is also contradictory though. By legitimizing Gendry, he too, could have a claim to the throne by virtue of the fact that he is the last surviving son of King Robert Baratheon. So it’s yet another plot point that makes no sense and isn’t consistent. But what I find most laughable is that Cersei is ruling Westeros to begin with. She has no claim to the throne, none. It’s unbelievable that so many people would have supported her and been okay with it. With Dany, Jon, and a potentially legitimate Gendry its obvious who the usurper is.
  6. This just makes me respect writers who know how to end their tv shows in a way that does not insult the viewers intelligence and respects the storytelling and characterization that happened throughout the course of the show - even if the ending isn’t happy. That’s why I can rewatch Breaking Bad over and over again but not Buffy. The former being a great example of getting it right; the latter being a great example of not. I cannot believe that writers still have not figured out that a bad or ridiculous ending to what was a good or great tv show just taints the overall view of the show.
  7. I watched the clip Varys and Tyrion are there. They are all there on land in Kings Landing. Tyrion doesn’t seem shocked or surprised. Tyrion has turned into the biggest idiot on the show. I will be furious if he gets rewarded for his stupidity by getting named to some ruling council. Also, it sounds like the only women who get a happy ending are women like Sansa who were always the victim. The women who tried to take control and have agency and not just exist to be pawns of men must all die!
  8. So in other words, Dany is attacked by Cersei. Goes to Kings Landing to negotiate an end to hostilities and Cersei then has the Mountain kill Missendei. But Dany is the ultimate big bad who must be put down. LMAO. Shit if this is true, I’m rooting for her 100% to burn everything. And I think most of the audience would be on her side. Jeez.
  9. I really want to know how Cersei gets Missendei. I mean was she just wondering around the streets of King’s Landing. Wouldn’t she have been on the ship with Tyrion and Varys. Did they kidnap her off the ship? None of this makes any sense. I legit wouldn’t have a problem with an ending where Dany dies, but it’s how they are getting from A to B that makes me annoyed and frustrated.
  10. Why would Sansa be meeting with someone from the Iron Bank? That’s the one that makes the least sense to me. And Kit has said the last scene he shot was of him walking along the beach with Davos and GreyWorm. I know they don’t film in order but still. And I don’t buy Jon killing GreyWorm. Or that Drogon would just carry Dany’s body off and disappear. Which probably means it will happen, lol.
  11. I just really don’t see her having babies and being happy homemaker with Gendry.
  12. I’ve never witnessed Dany on the show burn or kill anyone simply because they disagree with her. She killed Drogo in season one to put him out of his misery. Burned the Priestess to complete a ritual. She left Doreah and Xaro locked in the vault because they betrayed her. And stole her dragons. She killed Kraznys mo Nakloz (Drogon) after she “purchased” the Unsullied. And after he spent practically a whole season insulting and disrespecting her, not realizing that she spoke the language. Burns the masters due to the uprising and murder of B. Selmy Burns the Temple of the Dosh Kaleen The Tarly’s (Drogon) None of these things happened simply because someone disagreed with her. And she didn’t just wildly burn people. None of these people were killed in the heat of the moment or as a byproduct of Dany not being able to control herself. They were all thought out and done for a very specific reason. Also, if Dany really only cared about the Throne she could have easily wiped out everybody at the Dragonpits last season. Drogon and Rhaegal could have taken everyone in about five seconds, lol. So she has shown herself as someone who is willing to follow certain rules of engagement. So I don’t think she’s mad - and I have a hard time believing that D&D will be able to sell and justify that narrative in the remaining few hours of the show.
  13. The optics on this are not good. Suddenly, the foreigners, plenty of whom have brown skin turn, savage and start murdering random women and children. And we are talking about The Unsullied, who are known for their discipline, etc.
  14. This wasn’t shown in the episode.
  15. And those would be called receipts. Factual proof is one thing - but to suggests that everyone should just take Jon’s (or Sam or Bran’s) word for it is silly.
  16. This is actually a bad idea. As the show has shown, Dragons are very vulnerable when stationary. And when flying in range of a projectile. Had they just been hanging out on the ground - they could have quite easily been taken out, unless plot armor was in effect.
  17. This so much! She hasn’t done anything worse than any of the other main characters. Arya wipes out all of the Freys and that’s cool. Dany kills a few slavers, and has her dragon(s) burn some ships, a supply convoy, and the Tarly’s - and she’s gone mad! Jaime has done all kinds of horrible things but he must get a happy ending and live happily ever with Brienne. Bronn is a killer for hire, but by all means he’s worthy of being on a council to rule them all.
  18. I’m Dany’s defense, I would find it suspicious as fuck that suddenly there’s evidence that Jon is the son and legitimate heir of Rhaegar - and as she stated and the only people who know this and put it together are Bran and Sam. I’d be like show me the receipts. I think everyone would want to see the receipts. They’d be like, you just figured this out now, lol. It would also mean the basis for Roberts rebellion was a total lie. People don’t always like to admit they were wrong, even moreso that they were lied to and fooled.
  19. No it wasn’t. Clearly people don’t understand that just because something was filmed; doesn’t mean it makes it into the episode.
  20. Lots of valid points.
  21. Character development through wardrobe choices? Interesting. I still don’t feel like anything has been set up regarding Tyrion being a traitor or Dany going mad. I did the whole rewatch before the new season started - and that’s not at all where either of their arcs were headed. Even 7.4 - Dany made sure that Drogon’s Fire was mostly used to destroy the wagons and supplies. If she had wanted to, she easily could have killed everyone on that field. People who have a mad thirst for power and who are single mindedly focused on the Iron Throne don’t waste their time uses their resources for side projects. I’ll have too what happens in episode four. ETA: So far season eight has been a hot mess.
  22. Can you elaborate? It’s the first time it’s been brought up in this thread and I’d love to hear more. For me, it’s easy. I don’t think she’d care because in the big scheme of things he’s just a blacksmith. He has no claim to the throne, no army, no people backing him. He’s the bastard son of monarch that kind of screwed things up. He didn’t just kind of. He did, big time. Everything that happened throughout the show is in large part due to Robert’s own incompetence as King. Although, who knows at this point. I could see him being on a council of some sort though if he’s legitimized.
  23. Is this penis armor? The man has no moral compass and is willing to do anything if the price is right - that is exactly the kind of person you don’t want sitting on a council. I’m struggling to see what kind of balance a person like that would be bring. It wouldn’t take long for those who still hold power in other ways to know he can be easily influenced and then use money to get him to rule in matter that benefits them. It doesn’t solve any problems, just creates new ones. The way the spoilers have listed it, it’s not an even a council that would be truly representative of the people of Westeros or their needs. It sounds like a council of characters they didn’t want to kill off but don’t know what else to do with.
  24. I don’t think she would care, I don’t think anyone would care outside of Cersei, because it would mean she failed to get rid of all of Robert’s bastard children. Truthfully, I think Robert’s rule was an epic failure. He lasted about a decade and a half and everything went to shit when he died. A lot of that is due to things he did and issues he didn’t resolve. And his utter stupidity when it came to the family he married into.
  25. I changed the North to Bran, that was a typo on my part. Although, as the overseer, wouldn't it be a conflict of interest for Bran to also represent the North? Randall Tarly was installed by the Lannisters, and now he is dead and if there is a council that means that Cersei is gone. It really wouldn't make sense for Sam to represent the Vale. Wouldn't it be Sweetrobin - does Sam even know anything about the Vale? I don't think the council works without legitimate representation from the people in those areas - otherwise, for those not represented, they'd might as well as Four Kings instead of one. I actually like the idea of a council. Because I do think we are heading towards that in some way shape or form - parliamentary system or a commonwealth type system. What I don't like is the idea that Bran would be the overseer and who the council would consist of.
