  1. She doesn't know right now but I'm pretty sure she'll figure it out. Season 3 conflict ahead! I'm going with all of the above. I don't know if she's aware that it's all of the above. She'll probably rationalize it to herself that it was for Alex's safety, but I definitely believe that it was for all three of those reasons. I don't understand how Alex is allowed to visit Piper. I thought while ex-cons are still under supervision they aren't allowed to visit prisons. Piper's sister-in-law wasn't allowed in. I mean I understand that it was for storyline purposes only, turn a blind eye to reality thing, but they shouldn't have had someone who isn't a convicted felon (as far as I know) be rejected from visiting and then have Alex visit. If there was one part of this show that I could definitely do without it's the Daya/John storyline. I care absolutely nothing about it. They have zero chemistry and I don't even understand why she likes John much less loves him. I could do without Larry too. Now that I think about it I don't know which one I would choose to get rid of if I had the chance. It's like the Sophie's Choice of storylines/characters I care the least about.
  2. So...Suzanne graduated from high school in 2000. It's 2014. 14 years has been hard on her mother. She has not aged well. Yeah I worry for Suzanne with Vee too. She is literally the worst person for her but Vee is probably the worst person to be allied with for anyone. Lorna's left eye was totally distracting me during that phone scene. It looked crazy red to me, that's all I could pay attention to. Her other eye looked fine. I kept wondering if there was a fight I missed.
  3. I think it's the black holes in her gums that will haunt me forever. With Alex gone I think that Tastey and Poussey are going to be my favorite relationship to watch this season. I just love their friendship. I love that once Poussey realized how important the contest was to her she was full steam ahead to help her. Was the opening credits always that long?
  4. Did Piper ever admit to meeting Kubra last season? I find it incredibly unrealistic that the prosecutor or investigator didn't talk to her before making her testify. I can't believe that they would just bring people in to testify if they don't know for a fact that they're going to help them. Or at the very least what they're going to say. That would be stupid. What is that saying for lawyers? Don't ask a question you don't know the answer to. I mean they didn't even tell her that she was going to be called to testify. Does that even happen? Just because you're in the SHU does that mean you don't get to know about getting a supoena? I'm not shocked the whole Alex freedom thing happened. It was pretty much impossible not to hear about the whole "Laura Prepon OITNB" kerfuffle so when this is the storyline you just know that she's going to get out. I wish we knew how much time that Alex had. I guess they didn't want to paint themselves into a corner last season by explicitly stating it. For some reason I thought that they were together longer than a year. I had to laugh at the Gemini thing. I find it interesting the reactions people have to astrological signs (even though this one was extra crazy). When people "find out" that I'm a Gemini (OH NOS!) I get a few reactions. I actually had to read into it because I had no idea what the hell people were talking. I would just get a solemn "Oh", and/or stories about people they've dated or known that I guess makes them believe in that whole thing. Apparently we leave an impression on folks. I found the licking face thing a lot more disgusting than the cellie poop master.
  5. Hold up. Just hold up a second. What the what?!?! Another long lost sister? She's been walking around for two weeks with her half sister working with her and...you know what. I can't. I just can't with this. You cannot tell me that she doesn't know Meredith is her sister and is a board member of this hospital. And she's just been working there for two weeks like nothing? SHE COULDN'T WAIT TO TELL THE FIRST PERSON SHE SAW THAT SHE WAS ELLIS GREY'S DAUGHTER! "Her name is all over the hospital" and NO mention of "Oh yeah, I've got a sister that's on the board too." I've watched daytime soap operas with better logic and continuity than this damn show. I'll tell you what long lost children of Grey's Anatomy. Just stay where you were. Trust me. So much better off wherever that was. You will rue the day you came to Seattle. Big mistake. HUGE.
  6. The engagement ring sure has had an interesting journey throughout the years. First Rayna throws it down after realizing Deacon was blitz out when he asked her (and she somehow gets it back) and then Deacon throws it in the memorial or whatever it's called crash site after Rayna gave it back to him (and he somehow gets it back). It's like the ring of fate. No matter how many times they throw it away, it'll keep reappearing. I hope I'm wrong but since they did sign the actor that plays Luke as a series regular for next season I don't really have much hope for Deacon/Rayna being together in the 3rd season. At least in the beginning of it. What other point does he have to be on the show?
  7. My favorite part was "What the hell man, I thought we were friends". That is all.
  8. I think Ragnar, Floki, and Siggy were playing to long con too. I recently rewatched the episode where Rollo gets sent to talk to Jarl Bjorn after Horik came to visit and it looks like Ragnar gave her a little nod as she was walking away from the boat. There's going to have to be a whole season rewatch of this to try can catch little clues. I didn't get the impression that Lagertha was going to kill the kids at first but I think I'm going to have to change my opinion. She would totally go all Mama Viking on their ass. I do think that it was the generic Viking's assignment to do the slaughter though. Interesting that he left the servants alive...or that none of them tried to protect the kids. Interesting little tidbit since I like to watch documentaries. On Netflix there's a documentary called Secrets of the Viking Sword about the Ulfberht sword. I'll have to go back and watch to make sure but I'm pretty sure that was what they used for the "Sword of Kings". It wasn't the sword of kings in the documentary. It was a sword that was made of crucible steel. It was the best of the best. I think they called it the Rolls Royce of swords I haven't looked into it other than watching the documentary before I even started watching the series (must be fate) but it's sword that was for elite warriors. There was even copycat versions that weren't as good. They don't even know why Ulfberht was inlayed in it. No real point to this other it made me sit up and say "Hey, I think I know that sword from somewhere" and I think it was an interesting connection. Guess the writers saw the documentary too.
  9. Was he expending any energy to save his marriage? I must've missed that part. I do like that we are finally about to see what a good agent he is though (outside of having the affair). I hate it when shows make one side pure idiots who wouldn't be able to find their nose in front of their face just to make someone look good. It's just such a lazy way to go about things and no one ever buys it. I'm talking to you The Following and The Blacklist! And every detective show out there where there's a civilian consultant!
  10. I don't really see where Rayna was being holier than thou. I think she handled all this extremely well but I don't really see how that's holier than thou. I think she did what needed to be done. She was there for Scarlett while also trying to be there for her label. I like that she didn't just drop everything. She still has a label to run (get off the ground) and she needed to do some damage control on this whole situation while also trying to be supportive. Which is exactly what she did. She was a bit dismissive with Juliette but Juliette was so sensitive this whole damn episode that short of Rayna bowing at her knees to thank Juliette for being a decent human being she would've taken as some sort of slight. And can I have Rayna give a calm yet concise verbal smackdown every episode? I don't think it was right of Scarlett to blame Juliette for what happened but she still on the really unstable/denial side of things. Wasn't this all in the same day? Juliette still had the same clothes from the plane when she went to visit. She was by the end of the episode and if there isn't some sort of scene in the very near future with an apology or "I know what happened wasn't your fault" I'll be extremely disappointed. Until then, I'm gonna give her a small pass on that one since she did take responsibility at the end of the episode. In the large scheme of this show I'm not interested in Scarlett's storyline in the slightest. Except that I really need Beverly to stick around for a little bit to be exposed as a terrible, abusive mother then banished to whatever crappy life she's got left in front of her.
  11. At first I thought the Asian people Rachel was meeting with was from Taiwan since she talked to Paul about going there but nope. They're Korean, which is really smart because the Koreans are big on the cloning science. Yay for research show! That last scene with them kind of confused me. She hits him in the face and then he says "In the face?!?!" She's all "Sorry." and he lets her go. Which makes it kind of seem like it was planned but they have him heavily monitored so I don't think they did. I also don't trust Art. I want to but I don't. His whole "She's really starting to trust me Angie." made me go all "Aww. Say it ain't so Art." Oh hell. I don't trust anyone on the show whose name isn't Sarah, Cosima, Allison, or Felix. Don't you make me doubt them show!
  12. I bet if that whole Liv Tyler/Steven Tyler thing happen today instead of something like twenty years ago it definately would be a big deal and GMA/Today/whomever would jump at the chance to do the interview. Whether or not the actual parties involved would handle this situation like they did, I have no idea. Gossip "entertainment" is huge. I mean wasn't the E! network basically built on that premise? I think it is absolutely plausible and while I'm not sure most real celebrities would choose that route, I understand it. It is absolutely no one else's business but this way they assert some control over the story and not let the gossip mags/shows just run crazy with it. Also I completely agree with madam magpie concerning Rayna/Deacon. I think part of what makes it hard for viewers (not to speak for everyone, just my perspective of it) is that we haven't seen much of Drunk Deacon. We got glimpses but mostly we've seen this stand up, kinda moody guy. You absolutely believe that he'll give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Basically we see the guy that Rayna fell in love with. We've never seen the 11 or so years of Drunk Deacon that Rayna did. I think it's easier to trust a recovering alcoholic if you meet them when they're years into sobriety (which I feel is the viewer side) It's harder to trust the sobriety when you were there for the rollercoaster that is a full blown addiction. (Rayna side) I feel for both of them in this situation and I don't blame either of them for feeling the way that they do. It was a crappy situation all around and they did the best that they could with it. Now is the time that they both have to deal with the consequences of the choices they made. I liked their talk. I like the way it was played out. It was a heated conversation but it was a conversation between adults with so much history and baggage. It wasn't petty or mean which I think it easily could've been. I think the writers nailed it and the actors brought it.
  13. Technically this isn't another role that a cast member is in but one I wish they were in. I have an irrationally strong desire for Michael Shanks to be the narrator of Ancient Aliens. Everytime I watch the show I'm disappointed when I don't hear his voice.
  14. I know Deacon has a lot going on in his life right now but it seems kind of wrong that he's not involved in this storyline even a little bit. Hopefully after her "little" melt down he gets involved in some way. Scarlett is his niece, who did stick by him after his drunken rampage. Scarlett's mom is his crazy sister. I want him to be the one to put the verbal smackdown on his sister. Or at the very least, know what's going on. I'm going to be livid if he stays separated from this storyline. It would make absolutely no sense.
  15. I know that techincally there has to be an original or "real" John but for me I never thought of it that way. Generally I would. In every single case on any tv show where there was a copy, there would always be the the "real" one and the "copy". For some reason on this show I accepted both of them as the real Crichtons. My brain fights with itself thinking that though. Even now as I'm trying to explain it part of me is like "NO! There is a real one and there is a copy. There can be only one!" But the way I feel about it is that they were both Crichton.
