  1. I think it's as simple as it's too late for the purposes of Jones. Ultimately Jones wants to save Hannah. Saving Hannah means saving pretty much everyone else from the virus so that pretty much gives her the ability to say "I want to save everyone!" But really it's just her daughter. I think we can safely put away the Jones is Cassie theory no? Before it was just a skeleton with a watch. Now we know that it is actually her dead body it can't be Jones because Jones is old and not dead and Cassie is young and dead. Right? At first I thought maybe where her body in this episode was in a different place in the office than in the pilot when he found her skeleton since it looked different. But I think it was just at a different angle because I remember there was a window when he found her and when they saw each other at the CDC she was standing by a window. Good continuity team! Cole also laid her body in what looked like a similar position it was found. Now I'm thinking...sooo they just left her body lying there? Kinda rude. Maybe she left instructions though. "You must leave my dead decomposing body EXACTLY where it is. Yes, I know it'll be gross but trust me on this. Your future may or may not depend on it. We're working on it."
  2. So I was watching this after coming home after a long night out and I didn't realized that the watch healed itself when Cole splintered. I was just like hey look she got her watch fixed. Do not watch this show if you're not all mentally there.
  3. When she called him James the oddest thing happened. Ninjas broke into my apartment and started just chopping onions all over the place. It was weird and sad...because of the onion waste. Did Cassie get the face of her watch fixed? It would be interesting if she did so that when Cole found her body in the future...again...he would have it to scratch in the past. Or something? Time Travel madness! It would be the cure to the mutated strain of the virus right? Can you create a vaccine from the mutated virus to the original strain? The extent of my knowledge in this is the movie Outbreak and they could not. Or maybe they didn't have the time. I always think "Motaba!" when they show a picture of the virus on this show. I know nothing. When Cole has always said in the past that if they succeed then he would disappear I always too it as this version of him. Who he is in the virus ravaged future. His fate would be different. I had this long thing about what would the history be with Cassie/Cole if they succeeded but it is way too late and it's just giving me a headache. I could never be a Krenim. I'm going to need more evidence that they actually cured the virus. I can't just believe one picture but he was a fanatic as much as Jones. They're pretty much the same people with different agendas on how to deal with the virus. Anyway, I'm not saying that I don't think it's possible that they found a cure but I would really need more evidence than a picture. And if they did find a cure did they just find it that day? Or week? Why wasn't it announced in some fashion. Why was it kept a secret? I guess it's possible that they didn't want to be overrun with desperate people which is surely what would happen if they said "Hey ya'll. We got the cure!" But I still need more. I hope they touch on it in the future. I trust Foster as much as I trust Jones. To be quite honest, I understand Ramses' position that his son wouldn't exist if they do succeed and he's been leaning toward making this world worth living in than playing in the past lately. BUT, I really don't care about his son or his girlfriend. They've just appeared and I'm sorry but I'm already invested in other people. I do enjoy that they are bringing this issue up but the future storyline isn't the main reason I watch the show. If they followed Ramses there wouldn't be a show anymore so sorry dude. Your son has got to go or at least until the show's over and they pull a Terminator of just delaying the future but never stopping the event from happening. As each of them are becoming more connected to the past (Cole) and the present (Ramses) their reasons for their actions are becoming more personal and selfish. What I like most about it from the Ramses/Cole angle is I get where they're both coming from and they're basically saying the same thing to each other. You have to sacrifice this so that I can have that.
  4. Siggy! No!!! I know this show isn't one to linger on things but I do hope that while it's the end of Siggy (WHY?!?!?!) that they do touch upon it in future episodes in some fashion. I want to see some reactions from the others. I'M LOOKING AT YOU ROLLO! Because what was up with them in the first episode? She did save Ragnar's precious sons (twice!) that he wanted so badly that he pretty much threw away Lagertha for. She deserves a better send off even though it was shot beautifully. I did read that it was the actress' decision to leave the show so that makes me feel somewhat better about it all but it still sucks. I really liked Siggy and I honestly didn't expect to when the show first started. Lagertha needs to take care of her business back home. And really stop taking everyone at their word.
  5. Welp. I guess that's why they never gave her a paternity test. Congrats to called that. I still think it's stupid that Jamal never asked about having one though. Um...is Andre going to become born again? While the praying thing was certainly a twist, I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Lucious is insane. What now that Anika left he thinks that Cookie is just going to run back to him with open arms? Especially since the only reason that Anika and him are done is because she decided to leave. Get it Cookie! But seriously, Malcolm. Slow down for a second about this "falling for her" thing. That's just way too quick. Cookie has been in prison for 17 years. They need to let her have some fun. I loved Cookie's little smile when Rhonda was yelling at Lucious. Can they be friends? I think they could be good friends. Or at least allies. Because I kind of want everyone to ally against Lucious and then Lucious can die alone in his big house that he made ALL BY HIMSELF! It was nice for Lucious to confess some of his sins but I still feel like everyone should team up and take what Lucious loves the most. The company that he made. ALL BY HIMSELF! Vernon...cocaine is a helluva drug. This episode was a bit lackluster for me. I was hoping more for the Andre storyline. I guess there had to be one and that's generally how episodes setting up for a finale goes. That preview...

    S05.E13: Forget

I kind of felt like Aaron was "grooming" Daryl. I'm not saying for nefarious reason because I can't get a read on the guy. Hell, maybe pre-ZA he was some sort of counselor/therapist. But it all just felt off. I'm not down with trusting the guy just yet. Or anyone of the ASZers for that matter. I just feel like the way that they've been portrayed that they would just be like "BUT WE HAVE WALLS!!!" That's what so frustrating to me with these people. My distrust of them right now isn't really that they're going to go all Governor/Cannibal on them (although I won't discount some of them) it's that they are all children in the world of ZA.

    S05.E13: Forget

Honestly I'm having a hard time as seeing them as real. Everytime they speak I just want to look around like "Is this for real?" They have absolutely no clue. I get that they've been mainly sheltered but has it been so long since the world has gone to hell that they forgot what it was like during the brief period of time they were out there in the chaos? Or have none of them been out in the chaos except for Aaron and his bf? That I find hard to believe. The military in the whole world couldn't contain this and they think they're safe because they have walls? I can understand that they haven't experienced what CDB has because it's just been extreme. Forget the Governor and cannibals. ZOMBIES HAVE OVERTAKEN! Let's not be so blasé. about it. Rick practically rolled his eyes out of his head when all that was keeping the window locked from the gun store was a latch. That to me is just insane but hey. Maybe I've been out there too long like the rest of them. I do hope Alexandria works out. I think there's only so much of just walking around but these people need a serious wake up call to the world they're living in. There needs to be some sort of medium of CDB way of thinking and Alexandria. I so want Michonne to be part of group of decision makers but I understand why she's not. She wants SO BAD for it to work out that I don't think she would even want to be part of it. If she could be that voice a reason, a little like how Daryl was with the gun thing then yeah but she's on the total opposite ends of this right now. Michonne, your katana is not a home decoration. That sealed it for me as to why she's not part of the triumvirate.
  8. Well AltRamses wouldn't know about Sam or the girlfriend if the timeline is reset. They might not ever meet if they actually prevent the plague in the alternate timeline. The only people that are for sure to exist are the ones who already did before the plague. I feel like I missed the part where Aaron and Cassie got back together. Once he finally saw Cole splinter and believed her did he (or they?) just assume that well now that the misunderstanding is over with all our relationship problems are done so we can totally be together again? I know there was the scene in the last episode when he saw her in the dress. I guess they were already back together then?
  9. I'm late to the party because Syfy is not SciFi but I'm pet sitting a dog that can't be left alone so I decided to check this show out after reading good things about it. Two episodes in and I'm pleasantly surprised. If Jones and Cassie are one and the same then wouldn't she know what she said on the recording and not send Cole to kill Goines and then have to go back a filter her own message about the 12 Monkeys? That seems like a waste of time. I think that old white creepy guy is the Slender Man.
  10. "WHITE WOMEN FOUND Hispanic woman also found." The whole news part with the remix. You got me show! I'll watch you.
  11. Thanks Badsamaritan! My psych classes were some of the most interesting classes I took while in school and I worked in a psych unit for adolescent offenders after college. It takes incredible people to work there. I don't feel bad for Anika at all. She lost whatever sympathy I could have for her when she drugged Elle. I'm glad that Elle decided to stick with Cookie (or Empire, we all know it's for Cookie). I believe that was just to get Andre engaged in it so he could concentrate on that to calm him down.
  12. The most I know about psychology is I minored in it so I'm really curious to know. If someone stop taking their medication for two days they can go into a full manic episode in that time period? I know that the brain is a tricky organ but I guess I figured it would take longer for the medication to work its way out of their systems.
  13. Holy crap. So many highs and lows this episode. I couldn't even enjoy the "You're so Beautiful" ensemble because all I could think was one, Andre's of course not there (which considering the circumstances, totally understandable) and I knew they were still going to have to deal with Andre's situation. Realistically I have a hard time believing that Andre would dovetail that quickly. Like he stopped taking his meds that morning. It was what? Two days at most? It takes longer than that for it to be out of your system. Also, I'm confused. Did Lucious know all along that Andre's bipolar? Who else knows? If it's not a secret why act like it is? And poor Rhonda. She was in it for like five seconds but man. Can someone give them both a hug now?!?! I started off the episode cheering for Porche and then ending it with "Oh, Andre." Dammit Hakeem! You're making it hard to hate you still! All I'll have left is Lucious! But yay, Tianna is staying. I can't even with this show! I want to cheer on all the things worth cheering for in this episode. Jamal, Hakeem!, Cookie, Porche, Becky, but I'm just stuck at the end.
  14. In Carl's video interview when he said "I didn't just lose her. I killed her. It had to be me." Right before they cut to the next scene Judith raises her hand with one finger extended like "Actually, that was me." That just made me laugh. Because I am terrible.
  15. I think this episode did an excellent job in showing how this group can silently communicate with each other. The look between Carol and Rick was she was doing her "aww shucks" routine with the weapons and then when Carl went to go check out the second house. They just looked at each other, he nodded, and she went with Carl. Also the one word "Sasha". Carol is also drawing a map of the place. I hope everyone else keyed in on the Carol "Den Mother" persona plan. But I can see someone messing that all up in the future even though I doubt the congresswoman really buys it. It would be stupid for this group to trust this community and vice versa. When Carol was in that interview and she said she gardened I so wanted her to say "What do you think about flowers? Do you like looking at flowers?" I'm all for Daryl taking a shower. And cutting his hair. Carl too for that matter. I lament every appearance of the Hat. Aiden and his friend. You are so dumb. You are really dumb.
  16. When this show first started I was in the same boat. I thought she was going to be the stereotypical gold digger but I feel like the show has shown me different. Honestly, if I was Rhonda and all I wanted to do was get into an Ivy League school to catch myself a rich man then I'm pretty sure I could find someone easier to deal with than Andre. The minute his bipolar disorder presented itself I would've been like NOPE. That would not be a complication I would want in my life if all I was looking to do was to marry rich. gik910 Pretty much said all I was going to say.
  17. Oh that got to me too. It looked like she's going to be in the room when this all happens. I wonder if she tells them that he's bipolar and set up an intervention of sorts. Probably would've been better to do it in it a place where the walls weren't all glass. Doesn't exactly lend itself to privacy. On a lighter note the "Sshhhe buh buh buh. Oh now you can't speak English!" had me laughing so much.
  18. FOX has a sort of canon website for Empire where there are "articles" on various family members. They have one on Andre and Rhonda. According to the "article" Rhonda came from down south but not from money. She worked three jobs in high school to go to college and they met while attending the same Ivy League school. I don't think that Rhonda is a photographer. I'm not exactly sure what her job title is but she hasn't actually taken any pictures. She works in some sort of fashion thing. You can check them out here. http://welcometothelyonsden.com/ My problem is that I don't believe that it would be different if Andre was single or if he were with someone of his own race. I think Lucious believes that musical talent or whatever is the end all be all of running this company the way he wants it to be run. He said as much in the pilot when they were in the boxing place. I don't think Andre should be running the company at this point. He's obviously not stable enough to do it and I'm on Team Cookie for who should take over the company when Lucious passes it on. I think she can run the company for another 20 years or so. He's the only one racing against time. But I don't think Andre would've ever been in real contention if he had just gone down the path he's gone on without ever having met or married Rhonda. I don't doubt that he has a problem with Rhonda being white but I don't think it's the actual reason for why he wouldn't give the company to Andre.
  19. Lucious is going to find himself at the end of his disease with no one around him but paid help and I would be totally fine with it if it did happen that way. Lucious is the one that started it all. He told them in the first episode that the company is only going to one of them so they better grab their swords. I don't think Andre would be as ruthless about as he's been if he actually felt like he was part of this family. I'm not saying he's not responsible for his actions, but he's not the one that pitted the siblings against each other in the first place. He was told to go into the gladiator pit and he did. Also, I don't doubt that Rhonda being white is part of the issue for Lucious (and Cookie to some degree) I think it's just the excuse that Lucious thinks he needs to justify himself. I think Andre was right that what Lucious really doesn't like is that he doesn't have the "talent" that Lucious values. Or I don't know. Maybe Andre did have some talent but decided to go another way so he feels like it's rejection. THE SHAME of an Ivy League graduate son. THE HORROR! I felt bad for Rhonda in this episode and I'm glad that she just didn't go along with it once she had a problem with what was happening. I get that their relationship isn't traditional but I do believe that they had "rules" to their games and while we don't know what they are I believe that Andre broke the rules tonight. I wonder how they're going to feel about Rhonda after Andre's secret comes out. I have a feeling blaming her is going to be one of them. Here's what I'm wondering about Lucious. Was he always this like or did it happen after he got all the fame and fortune? I know that Cookie went to prison for him but of all the things on that show that is his doing I don't put that on him. Leaving her high and dry after, yes. Totally. But her actually going to prison I put on Cookie. She actually did what she was convicted of doing. Hakeem! I didn't hate him this episode! I hope he doesn't go back to being terrible to Cookie. I expect back and forth in the future but it was nice to see them develop a relationship this episode. I don't want complete backsliding. His relationship with Jamal can only do so much for him. Now if only she could be bothered to do that for Andre also. Lastly, did I miss where they mentioned doing a paternity test on that little girl or are they just going to go with it? It really bugs me and I couldn't even find that scene with Jamal and his "daughter"(?) cute because of it. It will not end well. Honestly for the girl's sake I hope she's not Jamal's kid. You in danger girl if she is.
  20. This show has made me never want to even visit Vermont. It's a shame because I heard it's pretty there. Also in Fitz little rant of all the things he was willing to give up for Liv I laughed when he mentioned Mellie. Dude never cared about keeping her so don't act like divorcing her would've been some great loss to him.
  21. I don't think she needs the cash. The article loveigniting posted above seems to imply that they are two separate companies that did partner together later. She also could've worked at Empire if she wanted to but chose to go a different path. Although it seems that something might've happened where she worked in the summer and the company Andre used to work at before Empire. I'm wondering if that'll be brought up in the future.
  22. Anika. Boo Boo Kitty. I cannot believe she did that. Actually I can. I don't really think she's really faced that much competition in her personal life and her professional life. Cookie threatens both. She got an artist that Anika couldn't manage for years to get herself together in a week. I can totally see her stooping to this level. With the pace of this show just revealing secrets left and right I hope that the head of security guy, Malcolm tells Cookie what he saw...maybe over some pillow talk. I'm not really sure if he saw anything but if he mentions that he saw Anika hanging around I'm sure they can figure it out. I was against Lucious being Cookie's first hook up out of prison. I was rooting for her to get together to Malcolm. He was checking her out last episode and this one during Elle's rehearsal. But I'm not too bothered by it because Anika deserved to walk in on that. I think someone even called it in the first episode that it was going to happen. I will say one thing for Anika though. She has the side eye down. She was shooting it around the whole episode. I felt so bad for Andre. I don't care about their kink or questionable morals. I am on the Andre/Rhonda ship. She looked proud of him when Cookie was talking about him in her speech and that scene in the bathroom. I think it's probably going to get worse for him before it gets better but I really do believe that she loves him. I hope they don't mess with them. Every soap has at least one stable couple. They can have drama without breaking up. Seriously though, as much as I've been liking their relationship CAN SOMEONE ELSE ALSO COMFORT/BE THERE FOR ANDRE?!?! Cookie has been in prison for the past 17 years and she has more people there for her than Andre does. That was the dorkiest clap that Lucious did after Cookie's speech. I loved it. He didn't even think twice after he said "I love you Cookie". This show is confusing my brain. Lucious is a terrible person and I really want Cookie to move on from him. I do. But they are so good together when it's just the two of them. Whoever did the casting or chemistry test whatever it is. Bravo. I give a dorky Lucious slow clap to you. There's only 4 episodes left. We're 7 episodes in. I feel like we've gotten more progress and information on this show than shows that have been on for multiple seasons. Here's hoping they don't fall victim to the sophomore slump.
  23. I just came in here to talk about that commercial. I totally forgot what the hell that scene was about because WHAT?!?!?!? I'm not really sure how the commercials were in the 80's and 90's because I grew up on AFKN commercials (I think it's called AFN now) so that is all new to me! Holy crap. I have never been so uncomfortable with a commercial in my life.
  24. I have a thing about feet. As in they are one of my least favorite appendages on the body. I really don't like other people's feet touching me. So if I was stuck in the pit with someone who had to climb on me with their dirty bare feet I just might be like "No, this is a nice pit. We should stay here." The whole time I kept thinking "They're so close to his face! HIS FACE!" I don't understand why Julia thinks Hatake is dead. Or why the show is trying to convince us that Hatake is dead. Sarah was just gutted in the stomach and she's making a "remarkable" recovery and unfortunately her embryo is still among us. Hatake was stuck with an axe in the stomach but managed to make his way back home. Is medical attention required to make these amazing Immortal recoveries? Also, this is like the worst unwanted (by me) pregnancy storyline ever because it will literally go on FOREVER. There's a part of me that's worried Caleb is the Sarah/Alan love child. I know she's supposed to be pregnant forever but with this show I wouldn't put it past them. I bet she's also going to sleep with him and then she'll have the family trifecta! Can we find out more about Paris/Present Day Julia? We're almost halfway through the season.
  25. I'm not gonna jump on the train and say that the kid is Jamal's just yet. I'll leave it open for the possibility but seriously? His family has been rich for a while now, longer than that child has been alive and now she looks him up for what? It just doesn't make sense. Did she not know who he was? I'm gonna need more information which I'm not too worried about because this show is giving out info and revealing secrets left and right! I really like that. I thought we'd have the Bunky secret for at least the rest of the reason. I like the pace of it so far. Jamal from the beginning told Cookie that he wanted to come out on his own terms. I think he got caught up in the hype of everything that was happening and one, he didn't want to jeopardize it. Two, he wasn't ready. I don't think that it negates what he's told Lucious and trying to get out from under the control of him. I do think that Michael and him should've talked about it before hand though. Whether or not he's ready and whether or not Michael is willing to be kept a secret. Although he has been kept a sort of a secret this whole time but when Jamal had a certain level of anonymity it probably didn't feel like much of one. The expensive all paid for loft probably helped too. They could just live in their own little world as long as they didn't make any waves. Now that Jamal is making waves he probably actually feels like a secret. I think Michael has a right to be angry but I don't think he should've been surprised. We also learned that Michael is doing something! He's going to culinary school! That doesn't tell us that he's paying his own way though and not living off of Jamal (what is Jamal living off of now?). Going to school is not a job. I kind of loathe it when people label school as an occupation. Student is not a job description. Don't get me wrong, I have no problems with people who have the means to just go to school but it's still not a job. I am really curious as to where they're getting their money now. There's been two episodes where Jamal has refused to take money...so where are they getting it from? Yay! Someone else knows Andre's bipolar! I'm starting to think that Vernon didn't "practically" raise the kids, he just straight up did it. I hope he doesn't try to use it to try to control Andre. So far, I'm really liking Vernon. He's the only one who even a little bit stood up for Cookie in the elevator with that rapper guy. He's also in the problem, AA or NA I'm not sure. He's a fixer. I'm so glad that Andre told him to wash his hands in the bathroom scene. The whole time when he stuck his hand out I kept thinking nonononono, WASH YOUR HANDS! That choke out was an overreaction though. Hakeem. Keemo. "I'm already a star!" Oh sit down. Did he not remember last week when the reporter kept referring to him as Lucious Lyon's son? I just can't with him. He's also jealous of his Tianna's girlfriend. So he calls his already year long established Mommy Issues girlfriend. He's ridiculous. I remember the first episode with Tianna, I thought she was going to be the crazy girlfriend. I'm also happy that Cookie isn't just taking it whatever he decides to throw at her that day. He really does need to grow up. I'm okay with a Cookie/Security Navy Seal guy hook up if it happens. I'm more than okay with it. She's been in prison for the past 17 years. She deserves to be able to have some fun. In fact, I'm okay with Cookie/Anyone showing her a good time hook up. I do not want her to be waiting for Lucious. Lucious should not be her first piece of action since getting out of prison. Porscha! IT'S A TRAP! I hope she's smart enough not to cross Cookie. That will not end up well for her and Boo Boo Kitty will drop her as soon as she's not useful.
