I remember. I would rush to TWOP to post and see what everyone else thought. It was so fun and exciting to talk about the amazing dances we were seeing, the pairs, the group dances. I didn't care if the dances they did on the show didn't get them cast (although many went to broadway or music videos)- it was still exciting to watch them try the quickstep or krump or something so far out of their wheelhouse. Mia reacting to Kent & Neil doing Shoeless Joe. Seeing Ramalama for the first time. Sabra & Neil doing the Sweet Dreams desk dance. Danny & Lacey killing it in a sexy ballroom number. I could go on and on. I guess all things come to an end but it was so unique & special back then. I miss it!

I hate the new format. I dislike JoJo and I'm so sad that the show I used to love so passionately is now so boring and flat. That was the last episode I will watch. It was nothing like original SYTYCD. Yes that show had problems & biases but I got to see some amazing routines over the years that I still remember & treasure. And that was exciting. This? I had to force myself to watch the routines. I repeat, I miss SYTYCD so much.

I just watched this on HBO and loved it! What a creative, wonderful group it was. Everyone was so supporting of each other, loved the pieces and really enjoyed every episode. A true reality gem.

So very, very tired of the Bhanu Survivor show. But there's too much time yet. We're going to be stuck with him longer aren't we?
-
I love Jake! I was feeling sad that he was going to be leaving and then whoa! What a fantastic blindside. I started out neutral on Jake but he has grown on me every week. He's such a fun character. Great episode!
-
I realize that came out wrong but what I was trying to say was have a challenge that anyone can win. Not just women (and Ozzy of course.
-
Boo! What a disappointing episode. Not only do we lose an interesting, charismatic player but we continue to be stuck with Bruce. Another stupid twist, an immunity challenge that only Ozzy and women can win, sigh. So unhappy. I repeat, boo.

So happy to see Rob and Corey finish the Doll task quickly. I love the wonderful spirit they have. But that balance detour was hard to watch. LOL Browncoat - it really is the new Twinnieee. Hee!

I'm with everyone else posting. A really great first episode after a disappointing Survivor. But since TAR is my fave reality show of all time, I'm not surprised. So many things I loved after the last few seasons which I disliked so much. Airports are back! Woot! I love airport maneuvering. Gross eating challenge is back! Woot! I could not have done that. Sooooo gross. I really loved that you had to earn the Express pass this year. After eating all that, they really deserved it. Difficult challenges are back. Woot! I loved the tightrope walking (saw it on TAR Canada one year and thought this is great. Wish the US did it.) I loved the puzzle though not happy with the clue sharing. And the detour gave us some great moments & comments. I was surprised more people didn't go for the sword play which didn't look that difficult. You had someone to watch the entire time doing it beside you it seemed and the moves weren't that complicated. But most of all: TAR is back! Phil is back! Double woot. I love this show so much.

Oh how I loved having the race back. That was a fun episode. Loved the high wire to start the race. They did that on TAR Canada and the mad scramble to the airport. Love having airports back. That massage looked very painful.

Too bad it wasn't a double elimination but I had a feeling this was probably Pradje's week. And his outfit was so bad. But I am also so over Laurence. She does beautiful leather work but that outfit was horrendous. A bulletproof vest and a pleated kilt with fabric that looked cheap to me. It had nothing to do with peacocking. NOTHING! I know they look at past work but I miss the days when no matter how much of a frontrunner you are, a terrible week meant you are going home. And I'm a big fan of Rami. I loved his look. Granted his model's skin tones didn't help but I thought the concept was beautiful. I've seen Brittni's look before and I'm sorry I all I got was pimp vibes from Bishme's look. Agree with whoever called him Huggy Bear. Spot on. At the end of the day, I have no confidence at all in this judging panel so they are going to do whatever they want. I'm just going to enjoy it as long as I can. Christian is so much fun.
-
Right there with you. I am soooooooooooooooo over Korto and all her talking heads. Rami is one of the few left that I actually enjoy watching.

I loved this season! I was Team Martin all the way so I'm thrilled. But I really liked Sara too. What a treat to open Roku and find this yesterday. I had to immediately watch the entire season. My only complaint is I wish there were more episodes. The season ended far too early.

I really enjoyed Glenda and Lumumba on this race. They were both like walking rays of sunshine - so much joy in what they were doing and loving & supporting each other so much. I started to get my hopes up they would stay but being so far behind & then a car off the road was just too much to overcome. The views were terrific this episode. I wish though that they would make the tasks harder. They are just so easy compared to TAR Canada's tasks or past TAR US tasks. It just feels dumbed down a little from the early days. Or maybe I've just watched too many international versions of TAR. I want really hard tasks. Come on TAR US - make them work for it.
-
I agree that the cast is a little bland. I agree with the poster who said they wished we had some villains. I know I enjoyed rooting against the villains & vastly enjoying their eliminations. But still it's the race and I will always love it. I just finished catching up on Canada's Amazing Race Season 10 (what a terrific season and the tasks are soooooo much harder than the American version. I wish they would amp up the difficulty). If we can't have villains, at least make the tasks harder. But having been to Florence, I really enjoyed seeing it again. I'd love to see more Will & Abby and I am enjoying the upbeat attitudes of Glenda & Lumumba - Kudos to the poster who called him Kevin Hart because that's what I think every time I see him. And thank goodness the motivational speakers have gone. I was over them after the first episode.

Bravo Jinkx and Raja! I am so happy. After last week I was preparing myself to be disappointed. I feel like Jinkx has just dominated this season with outstanding performances, (I can watch that Snatch Game over & over) wonderful runways and fun talking head moments and deserved this win so much. I loved her in her first season and to watch her perform with so much joy and confidence this time has been a treat. And Raja! Oh I am so happy for Raja. It felt like we barely saw Raja in the beginning episodes and Raja was the reason I fell in love with RPDR in the first place. When I tweeted last night my happiness for Jinkx, a friend texted back that there was negativity on twitter re the win and I'm gathering that is because of a tweet by Bob the Drag Queen? You know, it's okay to have favorites and be sad when your fave doesn't win but I was disappointed to see that. -

So, so, so happy to see Shan go. I loathed her on Survivor and I enjoyed seeing her comeuppance here. I'm not invested in many of these people. I love Amazing Race but I think with only 3 players to start, they were severely handicapped. And I love SOME of the Survivors. So I'm not too invested in this though I absolutely adore the sheer joy TJ gets during the Trivia eliminations. Buh, Bye Shan. -
I loved Keaton in that cha cha. He exuded a Dimitri/Benji swagger that I loved so I have no idea what Twitch was talking about. And Pasha! Hi Pasha. Also I have to agree with an earlier poster that Beau, while delightful and superb in musical theater, didn't do much in that dance besides chase Anna around. What was JoJo going on about? I watched their side by side and there wasn't that much technique. I like the pairing but I had Nigel flashbacks at the overpraising.

S07.E05: Draguation Speeches

Love, love, love! So happy Raja got a very well deserved star. And I'm so on the Jinkx train. Love her so much. Loved her in her season, love her now. I am not a Vivienne fan and I think the drunk thing is overdone & too predictable. I didn't enjoy her performance at all. Also, Monet seems kind of outclassed to be honest. I don't really find her on the same level as everyone else. She fades into the background for me. I can't wait to see who each of these will give their extra stars to. This season is so worth the Paramount plus subscription which I didn't want to get but really didn't want to miss this. -

I just adore Jinkx. And I'm glad Ru acknowledged how awesome she was in this. I love Raja and her runway was excellent but her acting was just so, so. Yvie did a good job but she comes across one note to me. This was just a variation of the Boogeyman and her runway - while impressive walking - wasn't very interesting to me. Ru picked the right top 2 and I agree that Viv won the lip sync. What an amazing season this has been so far. Loving every minute. -
I just finished Season 7 on HBO max and now I'm alll noooooooooooooooooo. I don't want it to end. I really adored this show. Simon Baker is superb and I ended up falling in love with all the characters. For me, that's what makes a show work. Caring about the characters and where their life journey takes them. And while it may be sappy, I'm so glad the show gave fans a happy ending. I'm still angry about the ending to Supernatural so for me, it helps to know that they all good things to look forward to. I don't want to end on doom and despair. I want to know that after all they sacrificed, all the pain, the characters I loved are happy. Thank you Mentalist.

Oh I just commented on this without seeing your post. We both thought of the same thing!

I love having the race back. It's my favorite reality show by far. I do think this was a pretty easy leg with very little opportunity for anyone in the 2nd group to catch up with the first. The driving was pretty straightforward on the island too - it seemed to be straight down. And sadly, the maggot cheese seemed like a pretty easy eating challenge. I remember Season 7 where that had that huge platter of meat to get down. It was fascinating to watch the strategy played out with Rob bailing first and others following him to take the penalty and then watch those who ate all that meat like Uchenna (spelling?) powering through it. Or the race where they had to eat the balutes! This seemed like a pretty easy eating challenge. But I'm still loving having them back. Just make it a bit harder please producers. Add some suspense!

Another absolutely beautiful place. I now want to go to Corsica and take that water challenge. It looked like so much fun. I join almost everyone in being happy that Akbar has finally exited stage left. He is such a downer in what is essentially a feel good bunch of racers. I mean I enjoy a good villain edit as much as the next person. I enjoy seeing teams I thoroughly dislike ending their race (remembering Season 12 and Jennifer & her boyfriend's). BUT, I also enjoy racers who are fun to watch. Not in a ganging up together to win way (remembering Mary & the Godwin brothers - argh!) so I'm happy the girls are realizing they need to focus on their own team first. But these teams are all super nice. I like Ryan and Dusty and I don't blame them for getting frustrated a little. So I'm happy with all the teams. Truthfully, I'm just sooooooooooooo happy to have the race back!!!!!

I agree so much. I work with alot of child actors and this casting was brilliant. She has such a strong expressive face and captivated me from the first moment we saw her.
