  1. I am just now catching up with this show. And yeah, you don't zoom in on Deirdre's eye then zoom out on Rowan's eyes. That camera trope is meant to imply they're the same person at different ages, so I was confused that they turned out to be mother and daughter. Bad editing and camera decision.
  2. With a dash of Rosamund Pike and Elizabeth Mitchell too. Also, I don't know where the Dubai cancellation rumors are coming from, it was a hit and season 2 is definitely on the way. You don't throw away a breakout star like Chanel Ayan.
  3. She's my early favorite so far because she seems like a real person, plus I love her Jennifer Aniston/Rosamund Pike combo in looks. Plus, Brynn was a complete asshole to her on WWHL so I'm rooting for her.
  4. My first impression: she's completely annoying, trying too hard, appears to be on the wrong show, and I hope she's not asked back for season two. Also, she was a completely unnecessary bitch to Erin on WWHL, so yeah...trying way too hard. Ew.
  5. Dolores is the type of girl in high school who would just smile and stay quiet when her jock boyfriend would call me a f*gg*t. I can't stand women like her. Then, like now, her silence makes her complicit. She knows Teresa is full of shit but won't stand up for what's right. She doesn't deserve praise for that.

    Caitlin Snow

Why did Khione even have to exist? Why saddle us with this new, personality-free character wearing the face of someone we've loved for 8 years? What a disservice to Danielle Panabaker. Why did the writers feel the need to kill off both Caitlin and Frost in the first place? Did they honestly think we'd want to spend the final season of this beloved show watching this unnecessary new character when they could have given Caitlin and/or Frost an amazing finale that she/they deserved? With Joe mostly out of the picture, and the writers forcing characters we don't care about to the forefront (Cecile, Chester, Allegra and Marc), why not keep around one of the only 3 remaining original characters? It boggles my mind why they decided to use Danielle Panabaker this way for this final season. What a waste. No one cared about Khione and watching Danielle have to play her was sad and I was embarrassed for her.
  7. I don't care what anyone says, Melissa is a badass this season and I love that she's finally not taking any of Teresa's shit. Teresa has had this coming for YEARS. Shove it, T.
  8. This show has become a joke. "Welcome to your first individual immunity challenge! Except it's not individual! And even though 11 of you are in the game, only 4 of you will be eligible to be voted out, with only 5 of you voting, and one of those votes will be controlled by another." What a joke. Matt was right, the best person doesn't win Survivor anymore. I think the producers/editors were clearly addressing fan criticism by including Brandon's response of "oh, if you're good enough, there's always a way out." Bullshit. There is no way to strategize in this game anymore. It's all a pathetic crapshoot. If the show keeps throwing these unnecessary and unfair twists into the game, we will keep getting winners like Gabler. No thanks.
  9. This is some bullshit. I am not a Loosey fan but even a blind man can see that she did not deserve bottom two or to go home. The judges bending over backward to nitpick her to death is so obvious and frustrating. I hope they are getting dragged for it.
  10. Oh my goodness. Then yes, my apologies. Her behavior was still weird though. LMAO! Yes! Me thinks you and I could be friends @Lantern7 :)
  11. Oh no worries! It's a miracle all you recappers had the time and energy back in the day for every episode. But what a legacy. If only all those old TWoP recaps were available somewhere.
  12. See, I am the opposite on TJ's glee during trivia challenges. At this point, it seems so over-the-top fake. Like, it's not THAT funny TJ. No one takes that much delight in something you see over and over and over again. It's dumb. And I will just say it - Kendal's behavior and skin issues screamed methy to me. If it's just nerves and a skin condition, I apologize.
  13. I finally got Paramount+ so am just now discovering this All Star Challenge and I have to say I am loving it. I don't know how Mark Long convinced some of these people to come back, but I am thrilled he did. And I absolutely love that they are playing into the nostalgia and giving us PLENTY of flashbacks to older challenges. What an awesome trip down memory lane. I have been a viewer of the Real World/Road Rules/Challenge universe since day one and haven't missed a beat, which I admittedly recognize sounds pathetic lol. But honestly it's a veritable soap opera for Gen X'ers, and it's always somewhat riveting to catch up on the continuing stories of the characters who've sprinkled the drama in our lives for decades. I used to love Ace. Glad to see he's still a hottie and still a simple country boy who only needs his dog. I do not remember Kendal. I had to look her up. Once I saw her younger self she was familiar. She does not look the same at all. I forgot her claim to fame was having a child by actor Josh Henderson which he denies. I remember you from the glorious TWoP days @Lantern7. I miss the old TWP gang, but I love your recap!! OMG you're adding to the wonderful nostalgia of it all.
  14. Just now catching up. So long, Salina EsTitties. I won't miss her. But can someone please fill me in on her drag name? Am I missing something clever? Is there a Spanish-language inside joke I'm not getting, or something? Or is it literally just as basic as Salina EsTitties? If so, that's one of the worst drag names in Drag Race herstory, in my opinion.
  15. Regarding the Gorga luau and why they didn't have any music, it's likely due to filming. When it's a party for production I'm sure music is not allowed so as to not obscure any conversations that need to be picked up by mics. Same reason evening events are in bright spaces with the lights on and not dark, so cameras can capture the action better. And speaking of the Gorgas, I'm sick of people accusing them of keeping this fight alive so they can have a precious storyline and stay on the show. If you think that's too thin a premise to remain on the show, think of the other women. What is Dolores' storyline? What is Margaret's? What is Jenn's? They're all thin. Dolores should be thanking Frank for being around all these years, otherwise she'd be even less interesting than she already is. What I'm saying is, the purpose of the women on these shows is to interact and cause drama. The Gorgas are doing their job, period. They have no less a reason to still be there than anyone. Plus Teresa has it coming, she's a monster.
  16. I just finished this miniseries and am so grateful to have found this forum. OMG that was insane. HOW do bright young kids in an independent and social environment such as a liberal arts college get SO manipulated? And it's not like it was an isolated college, it was in NYC's backyard. You would think someone's dad would be the LAST person a college kid would want to hang out with. I kept thinking if I was one of their roommates at Slonim Woods 9, how would I react? I would like to think I'd be a Max or Raven and be like, "yeah dude no thanks I'm gonna head to the bar to chill with people my own age." What was Larry's motivation? I understand cult leaders need followers, but did he believe the things he was convincing them of, or did he know it was all bullshit to manipulate them? Was he truly paranoid about a Kerik poisoning conspiracy, or was that just the tool he used to control these kids? It seems like it couldn't be both - either he's a paranoid conspiracy theorist with a persecution complex, OR he's a master manipulator who knows how to create fantastical lies to ensnare dupes. Since he did indeed ensnare dupes, I'm going with the latter. And speaking of the poisoning - if Larry was convinced (or pretended to be) that some of the kids in the cult like Santos were trying to poison him, why would he keep them in the cult? I know logic is the first thing that goes out the window once you're sucked into the cult, but why couldn't Santos reason that out? Also - how did three of these kids actually graduate from Sarah Lawrence? They were caught up in the cult by sophomore year. How did they get through sophomore, junior, and senior years while still servicing Larry's demented needs? You would think Larry's demands for control wouldn't allow for classes and homework and time to write papers. Especially since college work would foster critical and independent thinking. Strange. My heart breaks for all of them, especially Felicia. How do you go from a full ride to Harvard and Columbia Medical School, to being THISCLOSE to becoming a full-fledged doctor ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY to being convinced that people, including your own parents, are chasing you and trying to kill you? I cannot make that jump to how she got there so easily. I'm so sad for her. Her reunions with her family were absolutely joyous though. I did wish we could have been privy to a Rosario family discussion though like, "Can we all just admit there was never any poisoning going on??" Another random thought - was Talia creeped out that she invited her dad to live with them and he almost immediately started sleeping with her best friend? Even if she was brainwashed all her life, that should have been a red flag of SOME sort. Raven is the unsung hero of this piece. I wish she could have done more, and I'm sure she does too. But thank God for smart BS-detectors like her.
  17. We finally get taglines last week, and of course Jennifer Aydin's makes no sense. "Payback's a bitch, so start barking"? First, who is she addressing this to? Second, payback for what? Third, if she's the one giving payback, that makes HER the bitch, so SHE should start barking. Right? She didn't think this through. So stupid.
  18. The Gorgas didn't go public, they already are public. They have every right to comment on their lives as it affects the show and what other people are saying about them.
  19. Say what you will about Joe & Melissa, but I will always be Team Gorga over the nightmare that is Teresa. She and her stupidity have haunted our airwaves for over a decade now, and she has only gotten worse. I can't stand her, and I can't even believe she was allowed to come back after last season. Where is the Teresa backlash? She's awful. And I love that Joe & Melissa are finally not taking her shit.
  20. YES! For me, it's the same as "$100,000 Pyramid." Imagine trying to be funny during rounds of that game? Your non-celebrity partner would hate your guts. You can be "funny" during non-game time, like commercial bumpers or your intro. Otherwise, respect the game or don't let them on.
  21. I thought this episode was so annoying. Unlike other celebrity versions of game shows where there's time to be funny and to riff (like "To Tell the Truth"), "Jeopardy" has always been a little more stolid to me. Contestants, whether they are celebrities or not, should take the game seriously. Producers should only hire celebrities who agree to do that. No one should be pulling a "schtick" during their time on "Celebrity Jeopardy," so I thought Reggie was completely obnoxious. This is their chance to surprise the world by showing us they are smarter than we may know them to be, not to yuk it up at the expense of the game.
  22. Why isn't this show called The FBI Rookie? I get that the brand is The Rookie, but The Rookie: Feds is sooooo AWWWWKWARD. More spin-offs could have used the same formula, which sounds better to me: The CIA Rookie, The Firefighter Rookie, The Tax Accountant Rookie, etc. lol.
  23. He spoke of the Emmys and detailed table-mate Andrew Garfield's ninja assassin catching of a spear-tip so it was definitely recorded yesterday.
  24. Kimmel was new last night and even though the day was filled with criticism for his bit at the Emmys and disrespecting Quinta Brunson, he did not mention it ONCE. She's supposed to be on the show tonight so maybe he's saving it, but still, you would have thought he'd address it right away.
