  1. Yes. To be fair Carrie was getting quite shrill with Miranda asking what are you doing? You're married! after the post-op accident in bed scene. I couldn't help but think about when she went as low as to occupy Big's marital bed with him while his wife was away.
  2. OK... this is nothing against this lady's perfectly pleasant girl next door face, but that HAIR! Is this giving anyone else Bugs Bunny - My stars, if an iNNNteresting monster can't have an iNNNteresting hairdo teas?
  3. Love it! 🤗 You have no idea how much I freaking loathe spandex!
  4. You're welcome! I'm out now, though. Can't do 1-4. I think I could read transcripts but MPK speaking just exudes pretentiousness.
  5. Now I wonder if I listened to AJLT the writer's room podcasts (they're up on You Tube), editions 1-4 and 7 if I'd hear where the rest of the show ideas came from? I don't think I could take more of MPK though. That was a lot of source material cited in 2 partial podcasts that I listened to. So I did listen to the ep 7 one and MPK seems to be stating 3 months is what went by, the time Carrie took to write her book. He also mentioned not making a big deal of Seema being the 4th at the table as they'd already done that with Anthony and it had been 3 months. MPK -"We came up with this idea where we would go from fall through winter in one very slick very technicolor montage where Carrie is writing through 3 months." Before they launch into 10-15 minutes of DISGUSTING vomit talk., they talk about getting Carrie to go out on a date using pressure from the publisher as the impetus. They touch on the subject of whether to show Carrie getting her photo taken making a profile? before ultimately deciding Seema will do it and "stage her", to make so so easy for Carrie. MPK- "The interesting thing about that scene, in the editing room there were lots more jokes in it. When I was in the editing room I was like that feels like the old show, that feels like the old show. That feels like the old show. They're past that. There were jokes about we didn't date on apps, we used to get man's names off the cave walls." IDK what show they're talking about, because these women did not deal with online dating and making profiles and they were in long term relationships when that became the way lots of people meet. Considering some of the other BS they've taken time up with, it doesn't seem like touching on these women being unfamiliar with dating this way would be a waste of time. Some might even consider it a glaring omission! Then writer Elisa Zuritsky states professor Nya and her husband talking about trying to get pregnant and then realizing they're not is another scene based on an experience of hers. She sent her husband a text meant for his eyes only saying she's wasn't pregnant and please don't tell the kids. Then she accidentally pressed a button that prompted it to be read aloud by the robotic voice of the Apple play device, so the kids in the car did hear it. 🙄 Oh, and guess what? Elisa Zuritsky plays tennis and becomes aggressive and competitive when she plays, diverging from her normal people pleasing ways. She has had fights with her husband over tennis but recalls one particularly bad one where they fought in the street from the tennis court all the way home. 🙄 That's it! I can't put up with this egomaniac long enough to listen to 1-4. I think we now know where they get their story ideas, and the material they come up with to string them together has been laden with way too much focus on bodily functions... which has long been a refuge of untalented writers.
  6. Thanks, I was wondering if that ever happens? So I guess it's still a possibility. I personally thought it was dopey to have twice burned Aiden seemingly mooning over Carrie "boy are you not like not like any other woman" in awful SATC movie #2, so I hope they don't go there.
  7. Yes, the thing I read stated 20 years, I think? I had no idea
  8. A few pages back some posters were speculating about the possible return of Aiden, so I went and checked his IMBD. Didn't see any AJLT credits, but I did see something surprising. Does everyone other than me already know who he (actor John Corbett) is married to? scroll down ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` Bo Derek!
  9. Well you know why they'd pick this vehicle, it was already wildly successful and a reboot certain to be greenlighted. Now they can just fold in their pet issues and personal stories. A heck of a lot easier than being creative and writing new stories! ... and they'd have to do it for a demographic that's more challenging to write for. There's already a ton of TV shows and movies featuring 30somethings.
  10. I listened to a couple of those AJLT writer's room podcasts ep 5 and 6 particularly where MPK lead the discussions with a few of the female writers and producers. First off, it's so obvious this guy thinks every word he utters is pure genius. He states Samantha Irby "crafted" and wrote the Tragically Hip episode. Besides Carrie's hip surgery and Miranda's sexual awakening it's the one where Rose discloses identifying as gender non binary and wishing to be called Rock. MPK mentioned "Kelly in the writing room had this weird congenital hip defect" Samantha Irby states she has a wife who's youngest announced she was a lesbian on a Tik Tok and that's how the family found out. Julie Rottenberg, one of the producers states "I wanted to show the real struggle and journey that parents can go through as the parent of a kid who decided they were gender non binary at a certain age". MPK added they always check in with the G.L.A.A.D. the LGBT+ media advisory board on these issues. In the ep 6 podcast Rachna Fruchbom who herself is Indian, spoke of wanting to depict an Indian family living in Queens and to highlight the Diwali celebration. So they did have a bunch of their own stories they wanted to tell. That, and they were going to address every lack of diversity criticism ever lobbed at the old series, right out of the gate. Kind of sounds like they didn't have time to do much real writing.
  11. Richard was appealing, but he was a prick. You forgot perfect in every way Jerry Jarod a.k.a. Smith! He was a Saint!
  12. I just got in in time for the runway. Will have to watch the whole episode. So Arianna is the model's name. The one who Zayden and Prajje went home designing for. I was just wondering at the end of the last episode... have Kristina or Shantal ever gotten a plus size model.? and here we are. I guess she looked better than Zayden or Prajje had her looking, but really where is anyone wearing that? (and I like Kristina). Shantal has a sharp eye and can really make some clothes. I don't think we've seen anything from her where she didn't know where to stop. They made the right choice IMO, though. Chasity's was a runway moment like they stated, and the garment and the hair complemented each other. I don't mean to be harsh or anything, but Coral could have gone too. I'll bet she goes next. It's enough already with the macrame.
  13. Oh that's right. thanks. I'd forgotten the details of the party
  14. Then we would have seen some "diva" behavior! I have some advice for those of you who were unfamiliar with the Real Housewives Of shows and were quite horrified by what you saw, stay far far away from Basketball Wives and Mob Wives.
  15. So ridiculous! Like Samantha needed Carrie's money. I can't believe she said to Miranda "I thought I was more than an ATM to her". Samantha had Richard a hotel magnate as a client and Jenny who's parents threw her a million dollar sweet 16 party. Her career continued on an upward trajectory from there. I'm sure we all remember how her lifestyle was depicted when she went to Hollywood with Smith (as shown in awful movie#1). She never had money problems or had to go to Carrie to [possibly] borrow money for a down payment on an apartment. The first time Carrie had a book coming out Samantha offered her help with styling for the cover Carrie said "you know I can't afford you" So Samantha said that's true, and that it would cost her two cocktails. Some of these new writers might not be as intimately familiar with all these details as we are, but as SJP, CN and KD are all listed as Executive Producers, how are they letting things like this get by?
  16. Oh dam, I didn't mean to break the rules. I just finished reading this thread and saw a Samantha related comment and responded. Mod(s) my apologies. Feel free to move or omit if you see fit.
  17. Same here. Ever since episode 1 I've been bugged by remembering Carrie saying "I thought I was more than an ATM to her." in the discussion with Miranda about why Samantha wasn't responding to any attempts at mending the existing rift. Then I remembered when Samantha offered to help Carrie by giving her professional opinion and guidance with her first book cover. Carrie said No, you know I can't afford you and Samantha said That's true, followed by something like it will cost you 2 cocktails. Something like that. Samantha never seemed to have any money problems or problems keeping clients. She had an office and a couple of secretaries we saw over the years. Richard was a hotel magnate she started off doing P.R. for. And she had Jenny the brat who's parents threw her a million dollar sweet 16 b'day party. That was all before Smith hooked her up with the Abu Dhabi movie guys in awful movie#2. So how did it get to the point where one author of relationship books was keeping such a publicist afloat? Do they even think of how this unimaginative BS will come across to viewers familiar with the original series?
  18. You can just right click on a photo to reveal the drop down box and then left click on "copy image link" put your cursor where you want the image in your post and left click paste and it will change from the typewritten link to the image in a second 📸
  19. Thanks for that. I couldn't remember a damn thing about her collection or whether I liked anything.... and now I know why!
  20. I think SJP looks pretty damn good. I've always wondered how she manages to stay looking tanned living and working in NYC? Is this attributable to self tanner (which if it is, I'd love to know exactly what product it is that gives such natural looking results) or is it from frequently vacationing in sunny locales and refreshing her tan? Any thoughts?
  21. Similar hair and skin tone to who? Are you saying designer and model had similar hair and skin tone? [Could have been Kenya designing for Liris?] Liris came to mind, a black woman plus size model who like Grace this season,... was tall and very well proportioned. She killed it in so many of the looks she showed! Liris may have been one of, if not the first plus size model Then there was The white woman designer with pink hair, Ashley who made the first plus size collection for the finale but I don't remember if I liked her stuff. I remember Liris though, she could sell the hell out of a look!
  22. Right? Someone mentioned Luanne's TM "Don't be all uncool man" line from when the housewives were on a trip somewhere warm and I remember her body...abs in particular looked incredible in the bikini she was wearing. I thought Luanne's face looked great as well. As soon as she came in in the one shoulder white dress I noticed how good and how slender (but not too too thin) she was looking. I wonder if she really works at it, or if it's just phenomenal genetics triumphing over not so great habits like smoking?
  23. I've never watched Real Housewives of Potomac. I do watch RHO Atlanta and used to watch RHO Orange County and RHO NY but my interest in those last two have seriously waned. For the people who are totally unfamiliar with these shows and have never watched an episode maybe have just seen the promos, I wonder what they'd think if they knew these reunions entail everyone bitching each other out about everything that has happened all season ... even things that have long since been smoothed over, for hours on end and then a lot of the franchises come back and do a part 2 AND a freakin' part 3! 🙀 🗣️ 🥱 💤 🛌 🗣️ 🥱 💤 🛌 🗣️ 🥱 💤 🛌
  24. I think Shantal's dress won because the fit was superb and as others have pointed out it was shown on a tall slender model like figure with great legs and a great walk. IMO Luann's face and body are looking fantastic at what 55,56? I didn't love the design or think it would be great editorially and not for one second did I think oh wow... I'd love to have a dress like that. The first time I watched on a small TV at a distance I thought Kristina's bustier + pants / jumpsuit was possibly textured silk, like a shantung. I didn't see that it was metallic until I saw it up close on my laptop. I did really like the color and thought it made Dr. Wendy's shape look incredible. I would have liked the fabric to come up just one inch higher on her breasts. I loved what Kristina herself was wearing on the runway, such feminine shaping. Oh how the mighty have fallen! Remember when Aaron shot out the gate with what, three looks at the top and everyone was rooting for him? Then he was shitty and dismissive to Bones and he's been rubbing people the wrong way since. Bones' personality comes across as so sweet! I loved how he was asking Shannon tons of questions and absorbing her answers hoping to give her the absolute best look he could. I really hope he gets to show at fashion week.
  25. They have a photo of each designer with their name and a paragraph or two about them on the Bravo site. Why can't they add a photo of the look each contestant produced after the episodes air? That way at a glance you can see each designer, their name and what they showed on the runway week 1, week 2 etc all the way through to the finale. It would really help the viewers with keeping the names and who produced what straight, and for the love of God extend the time the garments are shown on the runway and keep the designer's name on screen the entire time.
