You bring up a really good point and I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned during the program if Bethany died from the overdose or from suffocation or the time of death. What if they were drugging her in order to assault her, or drugging her while they went about their own sexual activities, and she died of an overdose? It would make more sense to me than a suicide.

I really loved this movie. Didn't expect much and had not heard a lot of buzz but it was a great little summer movie with fantastic acting all around. Count me in as a poster who is glad the movie didn't go there with Gretta and Dan. It made the movie that much more special by NOT having the leads fall in love.

My stupid DVR didn't record this on Friday. Thank God it's on tonight or I may have to keep myself inebriated until Sur o'clock.

I remember The Edge of Night. I didn't watch it but one of my friend's moms did and I do remember seeing parts here and there when I would be at their house. I do remember a woman named Renata giving birth to a baby during a fire or something like that and she died, although the baby was saved. I also remember Lori Loughlin being on Edge. With regard to Brandi - - I liked her when she first came on because I was in the same boat she was, although clearly in a much less publicized way. My ex cheated on me and ended up leaving me for his younger, very stupid side piece. It hurts. It sucks. But you cannot let the pain of what someone did to you make you bitter and turn on everyone else. Yes, I probably am more sensitive to cheating than the average person (like Brandi.) However, I am not going to judge Eileen and her relationship because I wasn't there, it didn't involve me and I don't know what happened. Maybe she did cheat on her second husband. Maybe she told him the truth and ended their marriage before starting with Vince. Maybe it did end horribly but she and her ex worked it out. I don't know and unless Eileen wants to share it with us, it doesn't really impact us. Or Brandi. I don't see the super reserved or "above it" persona that some see (not saying it's not there, just that I don't see it). In some ways I do think Eileen IS truly above it because she doesn't sink to Brandi-Kim levels of narcissism and hysteria.

S06.E21: Coco Jack, BedRyder, Frill Clothing, Twin Z Pillow

No comments on the products (although the sorority girls struck me as very Stepford Wives-ish) but I do love the expression Robert makes when he's been outbid or shut out of a deal. Just increases my love for him. -
Interview with the Vampire. I think I got 75-100 pages in before I gave up. The Widow's Guide to Sex and Dating by Carole Radziwill. I really like her on RHONY and wanted to love this book so much but I was dying of boredom. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The Monster of Florence. The Alienist. All three of which I heard stunning reviews on and I just couldn't get into them. In Cold Blood. I know, I know. A true crime classic. I just didn't get the "shock and awe" over the book. And I couldn't finish it.

Kim was EVERYWHERE back in the 70s. If you didn't know her name, you recognized her face. She was one of the go-to young actresses for everyone, it seemed. I don't think she was in the Tiger Beats/Teen Beats like Kristy McNichol or Leif Garrett but she was definitely working consistently during that period. -

I am late to this thread but I wanted to send you my prayers and sympathies, Savannah. We enjoyed your aunt's posts - - she helped to make this place as wonderful as it is. Safe journeys to the angels, Kathy. You'll remain with us in spirit. -

So true. Kim even told Kyle or Lisa that Lisa R was spreading lies about her. Not so but that's what Kim thinks and that's how she justifies her ratchet behavior. Matilda Moody, I have a Twitter account and follow Lisa R. I'll be happy to tweet that photo to her. -
Kim Richards: No Escape from Witch Mountain

I have to say that I enjoyed seeing Kim at the fan event last season where she ran into Jimmy McNichol. She was clearly in her element and seemed happy that people remembered her and wanted to chat with her. Maybe it would do her good to go back to work in some fashion. It can't be healthy to have no job other than the RHOBH gig, especially now that all her kids are grown. -
Well, this certainly explains why Kim went to Lisa's room to accept an apology from her. She was instructed to by TPTB, not because she felt bad or anything. Because she's Kim Richards! Why would she feel bad about making Brandi Freaking Glanville look like a choir girl? Clearly KIm hit a nerve and knows something. I have watched the dinner episode at least 4 times and if you watch everyone else's reaction when Kim starts with the bread comment and then talking about Lisa's home life, they all look panicked. I agree. Frankly, all of the ladies should be thinking this way. Ride this show as long as possible. It's a lot of money for a relatively light schedule, I would think.

Wow, I did not know that Kim changed Kingsley's name to avoid a bite history. That's awful. -

I think Kim's idea of "sober" and my idea of "sober" are two entirely different things. I wouldn't fault her for taking prescribed meds if she was taking her own - - not Monty's - - and as directed and if she was honest with the doctor about her past addiction. That said, if Kim was honest about her sobriety or attempted sobriety, she never would have taken a pill prescribed for someone else. Ever. An addict in recovery would know this. That's why I'm really on the fence about how much she wants to be sober. I know that addiction is a disease but she made a choice to begin using. And she is a lot more fortunate than many people who have no support system or the finances to be able to check themselves into rehab. Kim has the luxury of not only having the money to do so but a schedule that allows her to do so. So I do fault her for not taking advantage of those things. I do agree it's possible that Kim suffers from being bipolar, ADHD or any number of things. I feel absolutely certain that she's stunted emotionally, thanks to her upbringing and Big Kathy. Combine that with addiction, narcissism and/or ADHD, bipolar, etc. and it's a massive recipe for disaster. -

If any dog bite victims went to the hospital and the attending doctor did not file a report, that doctor is in serious trouble. It doesn't matter if there was a police report initially filed or not and it doesn't matter whether Kim was going to pay hospital expenses. It's the law. That said, I feel sad for Kingsley because he may ultimately be put down because of Kim's selfishness. Pitties can be great dogs with the right owners but Kim couldn't care for a stuffed dog right now, nevermind a live one and one that is as active and intelligent as a Pit. I agree that Kim must be blamed for her addictions. Yes, I feel bad for her childhood because from what I've read, it sounds like a fucked up mess. I blame Big Kathy for the ongoing dysfunction between Kim and Kyle because she never should have put so much responsibility on Kim's shoulders, and at so young an age, and she also never should have instructed Kyle to take care of her sister forever. However, at some point Kim has take responsibility for the paths she's chosen as an adult. She spouts off stuff about therapy, how about actually going? How about going to rehab and staying there? As another poster said, their issues have been ongoing for five (or whatever?) seasons. It's the same cruel fuckery each season. Kim blames Kyle for everything and she's absolutely horrid to her sister. I don't want to see that. I do think that Kyle believed getting Kim on this show would be good for her. On paper it makes sense - - maybe Kim would stay clean if her paycheck depended on it and if cameras were present. But it hasn't worked out that way and Bravo isn't taking a firm stance on Kim's personal issues. I don't believe she's been given a soft edit, as has been proposed, so much as everything has just been glossed over. Kim blows her stack and then goes on like nothing happened, just as Bravo has done. At some point she is going to become a liability for Bravo. As far as Bravo administering drug tests to all the Hos - - Brandi will be well and truly fucked. But maybe it will get her off the show. -
Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
psychoticstate replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Exactly. Kim is acting/reacting just like a narcissist and an addict. She blows up and then forgets about it and acts like nothing happened . . . until she blows again. I know, I've been there. It's not fun and it's emotionally draining and confusing. Eileen and Lisa are better off politely acknowledging Kim when they have to and then otherwise ignoring her and having nothing to do with her. Kyle needs to get herself into therapy immediately to learn how to let go. Me too, walnutqueen! I'm up in the OC and waited around all day Saturday for the torrential rains that were supposedly coming. Nothing. Rained on Sunday and we got decent rain Sunday night and into Monday but nothing like they were predicting. I'm not going to backlash you, Humble Pi, but I love me some Lisa. I get that she may not be everyone's cup of tea (or glass of wine, as it were, he he) but I find her refreshing and funny and I love how self-deprecating she can be. She's a very welcome change after several years of the heavy handed drama from Kim and Kyle. -
So true. I think the soaps started to wilt when SAHMs began to disappear. With the majority of folks working outside the home, there were less people to watch the soaps. Yes, we have DVRs now but I think the soaps began losing their audience pre-DVR and the trend just continued. Sad because I have fond memories of watching the soaps when I'd be at home sick or watching them over the summer when I was out of school. I absolutely adore Eileen. I love every part of her life, from her style to her "American Psycho" (thanks, Brandi) house to her relationship with VVP. I think she's very genuine. And I say this as someone who knew her from her earliest Y&R and DOOL days and didn't think much about her. I was thrilled over Lisa R joining RHOBH but fairly indifferent when I heard Eileen had signed on. I am glad she has proven me so wrong with her addition - - she and Lisa R bring new, fun life into the show. It helps that both of them are actually living the Bev Hills lifestyle, being working actresses. I hope she returns next season.

Sue for what? Kim is on a reality show. She agreed to showcase her life once she signed on the dotted line. I doubt she complains about that when she's cashing a Bravo check. And what does a college education have to do with speaking to someone about an addiction? I checked that Crazy Days link - - I hope the "big name" isn't Lisa R or Eileen. -

I understand what you're saying but I think it's just how each person is perceiving it. I rewatched last week's epi before last night's epi and Lisa wasn't trying to start anything on the plane. She asked Kim if she was okay because Kim was giving her the cold shoulder. It was Kim that went off on Lisa. And Lisa apologized several times on the plane. It's never good enough for Kim. If Kim wants to stop making her sobriety an issue, then quit going off at people. She came to that dinner ready to let loose on someone. She was already looking pissy and edgy when YoFo started the conversation. If Yo had addressed Kim's issues directly, I have no doubt Kim would have gone off on her. Lisa R has said before that it's her style to confront things head on and I think that's what she was doing. Again, she apologized to Kim and that's what she was trying to do at the dinner. If Kim had the maturity of a "grown ass woman" (as the Atlanta Hos like to say), she would have graciously accepted the apology and let the topic go. She also wouldn't attack her sister for no reason other than the fact that Kyle was uncomfortable on the plane (with good reason, apparently.) As was pointed out above, Kyle basically did what Kim did during the dinner with Camille seasons ago and when Brandi made the comment about Mauricio. What's acceptable for Kim is not acceptable for Kyle - - or anyone else, depending on Kim's thoughts or moods. I used to like Kim, seasons ago. But she's proven herself to be a nasty, humorless hag who is a true friend to no one. -

Not so. Lisa said several times that what she did was not cool. Unlike Kim who has never apologized for her behavior or said she was wrong. Ever. I agree. Kim was a hateful bitch to all three. And the way she turned on Eileen made my head spin. How dare Eileen call Kim out on anything! Exactly. FWIW, equating Kim going after Lisa and her family is not the same as Lisa bringing up Kim's alleged sobriety and how it's going to affect Kim's children. (This was one of Kim's arguments to explain why she was such a freaking seabeast to Lisa.) Lisa never brought up Kim's kids specifically. She was only talking about Kim, whereas Kim immediately brought Lisa's husband into it. Plus, Lisa's daughters are still minors. Not the same thing at all. I'd be pissed if I had traveled to this beautiful country and had to deal with Drunk and Drunker. Versus the 13 year old that Brandi brings to the table most times? Or the drunken fool taking men into bathrooms and with her tampon string hanging out? Yep. Kim never apologized, true to form. She likely will never apologize to Eileen for her hateful comments and especially to Kyle for her ongoing abuse. I agree with what the ladies told Kyle - - she is in a cruel, abusive relationship with Kim. Kyle is clearly codependent in that relationship. Kim will never be happy and Kyle will never do enough. Kyle needs to let it go and tell Kim to go bitch to her bestie Brandi or the "good sister" Kathy because she's done. -

Kim is a vile loony little hobbit who cannot stand for anyone to be happy or take responsibility for anything. I want to punch her in the cooch. And if she's even remotely sober or has been for 3 years, I'm the fucking Queen of England. Every one of these ladies needs to cut her off, and that includes Kyle. There is nothing redeemable about her and there is zero reward in having any type of relationship with her. For the record, I'm sure her kids know darn well she's a hot mess, regardless of what anyone says. -

KIM was the one who decided to join a reality show and air her life. She was also the one who showed her drunken and/or addicted ass on television and has continued to come back each season. That's on her. I do think that Lisa R had sincere motives in speaking to Kim. At the dinner in question, Lisa didn't bring up Kim's issues. She spoke of her own family's (and hers, by extension) after YoFo started the conversational ball rolling. She offered an apology to Kim, explaining why she may have come across strong or intrusive. It was KIM that decided to snap at her and then attack Lisa and her family verbally. It's been said here by others but I have to agree - - if Kim wanted to shut down the addiction/sobriety talk she could have done so with a calm "Thank you for your concern but I'm fine and have everything under control. Let's change the subject, please." She did not. What she did instead was to lash out, defend and deflect which, as I've said, are classic addict behaviors. She's done nothing to show that she's anywhere near sobriety (or maturity.) I don't think anyone speaking at that table had any ill intent. It was Kim's impression that it was all done in ill will. And apparently she's angry with Eileen because she doesn't like her hair or her face and she gets into Kim's "bizwax." I'm sorry but I just cannot defend Kim on any level. She was not being attacked in any way. She could have shut the conversation down or, at the least, just gotten up and left the table if she felt that threatened. Bottom line, Kim's an addict. And she's a soul sucking, needy, immature, irresponsible, manipulative asshole. Here is the difference though. Kim put her sobriety storyline on the table for the season. Lisa did not put Harry, or any of his alleged issues, on the table. I also believe that Lisa was coming from a place of good intentions. Kim was clearly coming from a place where she wanted to hurt and be destructive. -

I don't find Eileen on a high horse whatsoever. I knew who she was prior to this stint but I wouldn't have called myself a fan. I will now because she has been nothing but gracious and classy from what we've seen. She's calm and rational (shocking, I know!) without resorting to childish and immature tactics. Kim is just an asshole, plain and simple, who resorts to typical addict behavior when confronted. She denies and deflects. The biggest "tell" for me as far as who is telling the truth, in the right, etc. is that not one person defended Kim at the table. YoFo made a halfhearted comment about how hard she'd worked on her sobriety but not one other person said she was in the right or she was believed to be 3 years sober. Not even her so-called bestie Brandi. Because everyone there knows, including Brandi, that Kim has not been sober for 3 years. Listen to the silence. Look at how Kyle looks away when Kim makes these claims. I don't support Lisa R's throwing the glass but I fully understand it. Kim was attacking like a trapped animal and she was attacking Lisa's family. That wasn't done to Kim and it certainly could have been. Chad is Kim's child but he's also an adult. Yet no one has dragged him into this mess. Whatever his issues, it doesn't necessarily have to do with his mother's addiction(s) (as far as we know.) Lisa R's reaction to addiction has nothing to do with whatever may or may not be going on in her marriage. Kim was out of line and all she did was invite daylight in to her own issues because as YoFo said, no one's life is perfect. -
God, I freaking love this board. From this point on, Mondays at 9 pm will be "Sur o'clock." Genius. Not as genius as the Nugget though, so don't get a fat head. Clearly the Nugget needs to get out more and expand her circle of acquaintances if she's the smartest one. Snort. I'd be willing to bet Lisa could outdo her. Let's see, who works in whose restaurant? Who lives in a gorgeous home with swans and a name out front? And who lives in a janky apartment with FI? Hmmmm. Oh, and who is actually floating the story that Face Time didn't work in that particular hotel room. Uh-huh. Face it, sweetie. If your relationship is real, FI is a liar and cheater. Which you know. And you're not nearly as smart as you think you are. Sure, you may be the smartest person in your group but considering your group is a group of chucklefucks who use no brain cells before their time (if ever), that's not saying much. Big old WORD on whoever pointed out the Nugget's insanely bizarre anniversary party dress. WTF? Crazy Kristen totally blew her away with her red dress. I loved the photo shoot. It looked great. Muppet Baby totally rocks that look. I'm ashamed to say that he made me a bit tingly. I think I may need therapy or something. Jax still looked like an ape. Vail has been a FAIL. She consistently flirts with the two walking penises at Sur while blabbing in her THs that she's not interested in either and there will be no sex. Yawn. I do think Schwartz' terror at marriage was real in that counseling session (guess the infamous Dr. Wexler was too busy with Tori and Dean to make an appearance here.) Wonder why. He seemed to indicate his parents are still together if I recall. If Katie is indeed "The One" why is he so panicked? Katie, girl, you need to run. StASSi is pointless. Why was she there? Did they actually say that she would be making a special guest appearance at the reunion? Bizarre. I did stay up to watch WWHL and the preview of the reunion was disappointing to say the least. Everyone gangs up on StASSi. There's a shocker. Of course they do. Because she's been an asshole to all of them.
