S10.E08: Mind Your P's and BBQ's
psychoticstate replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Well, Denise had admitted that she swears around her kids. That's not the issue. And if Dorito had a problem with it, she could have said something. She didn't. So that's just Teddi butting in once again to try and stay relevant. I don't blame Denise and Aaron for leaving. Why stay at a party that's just going to be a pile on against you? They're criticized for not bringing their kids and then it's just pick, pick, pick. Teddi stirs the pot, Kyle can't read a room and Erica is just a See You Next Tuesday with shitty fashion sense. -

Can we have Aaron host the reunions? "Okay, great. Let's move on and talk about something else." Ha! Those bitches literally didn't know which way to turn. I may be developing a crush on Aaron because he has no fucks to give with them. I am just stunned that these, um, women (with the exception of Garcelle) seem to have no concept that some topics that adults discuss amongst themselves are off-limits around kids. And even if they think it's okay and would talk about it with theirs, if Denise says it's not around hers, that's the end of it. Or should be. -

Clearly Aaron, Denise, Garcelle and Teddi are the only people who know how to dress at a barbecue. Teddi is a shit stirrer. STFU, Teddi. I love that Aaron very quickly sticks up for Denise. #TeamDenise -

I wonder how much of that was production maybe telling Sandy that one of the guests wasn't pleased with his meal? I get that she was probably feeling nervous after Mila last season but I can't imagine that she does this on her non-Bravo charters. That's what the stews are there for -- tell them if something isn't right. Love seeing Mallorca so far. -

She reminds me of Hannah, who doesn't want to do the job of stew, do table décor, do turndowns, etc. Although I like her more than Hannah and as @TexasGal said above, if Lara gets under Hannah's skin, she's my hero. The Boston guy who said "unit" about 500 times is already on my last good nerve. Rob, the former model, is hot. I wasn't sure about Jessica but she seems okay and she seems to be a worker. Love the chef! He didn't make a negative comment about having to prepare a second steak for a guest, he has a sense of humor and Sandy likes his food. -
And the entire yachting world breathes a sigh of relief when Adam states the obvious that yachting is not for him. The winners of this reunion was Adam's dog, who, other than lifting his paw at one point and being ignored, slept thru the whole mess, and Chris, who popped on long enough to update us on his back and then leave. Too much time spent on Paget and Ciara's relationship and wine drinking and Georgia trying to pose for Zoom. Andy is a dipshit for not asking Captain Glenn his thoughts on Jenna's rage over him calling her out for her nonstop PDA. And I don't care what she says now, I don't believe for a second that the PDA was only going on when she was off duty.

S12.E09: Hurricane Leah
psychoticstate replied to OnceSane's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I just can't with these ladies. Tinsley should have stayed behind. No way would I go with them if they were already verbally beating me up before I had even set foot in the van. The van driver was everything with his expressions. He needs to be in every episode. Everyone in this group, save Elyse, appears to be an alcoholic. Lu is a recovering alcoholic. I don't care what they say. Leah, you were a drunk asshole. That's not just "being you." That's why your mother was upset you'd begun drinking again. Because you lose control, you're an asshole and then you can't remember anything the next day. You may not be doing it in front of your daughter but you are doing it on film that your daughter (and her friends) can watch. Every time Dorinda starts to become the slightest bit likable, she turns around and is an asshole again. Which I guess spares me the energy of thinking I might actually like her. I hate to take Ramona's side about nearly anything but if that had been my dinner that Leah disrupted and then attempted to rip apart during her drunken antics, I'd be pissed. Lu needs to get Leah and Dorinda, for starters, into her AA program. Not sure how much more of RHONY I want to watch. I started watching for the real estate p*rn and seeing New York. Watching alcoholics drinking themselves into a stupor isn't my idea of fun. -
S10.E07: Santa Denise
psychoticstate replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Because it needs to be said, totally #TeamDenise. Erika can fuck right on off with her vile and disgusting insinuation that Denise's teen daughters have already participated in threesomes. There is nothing Denise has ever done or will do that would justify such a remark. Worse, IMO, was seeing every other bitch at that table laughing. They all have children. How would they feel if someone said that about their kids? It was NOT funny. FWIW, the party was at Denise's house. She can choose to discuss whatever she wants. Erika laid down the law pretty quickly last week on Sutton, telling her it was her (Erika's) house. So now Sutton, or anybody else, can tell Denise that maybe she shouldn't have her kids present at their own home for a party? Uh, no. Sutton, you can fuck right off too. And those not so subtle digs at Denise's attire? Really, Kyle? Girl, you need a stylist so STFU. Denise always looks appropriate IMO and she dresses like a normal, average person. These woman are all terrible, with the exception of Denise. Kyle is clutching her pearls and crying because oh no, people are saying she and Teddi are in therapy together. Because they went to therapy together. Rinna is throwing her friend of 20 years under the bus in order to stay relevant on the show. The rest of them -- with the exception of Garcelle, who wasn't there -- are either saying nothing in Denise's defense or are agreeing that the issue needs to be endlessly rehashed. Sure, Denise may have spoken to three people in the group about what happened but you keep bringing it up, TEDDI. So fuck right off too. I hope Denise opens a major can of verbal whupass on these bitches. From the previews it looks like Aaron isn't having any of it. Again, #TeamDenise. -
S10.E06: Read Between the Signs
psychoticstate replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Yes, it was a Ho-wife dinner but there were kids present. These women should be adult enough to be able to keep their mouths shut about topics that aren't appropriate for kids until the kids aren't there. I mean, can they not go through one dinner without screaming at each other and hurling accusations? I think that dinner reflects far worse on Erika and Kyle than it does on Denise. I get that Denise was concerned, probably more so because her daughters had friends over. Regardless, it was Denise's house and if Denise asked them to stop, they should have stopped. After all, Erika told Sutton it was her house and to pipe down. I guess though different rules for different people, at least as far as Erika was concerned. I also wanted to point out that I thought it was a kind gesture that Denise brought a hostess gift to Erika's dinner party. I was brought up to do that too but I didn't see where any of the other ladies did that. Very surprised that Sutton, with her so-called Southern manners, did not. -

Exactly. Yes, Denise had a whole conversation about happy endings but neither her kids nor anyone else's were anywhere around. Denise wasn't saying you couldn't discuss threesomes and whatever else they were screeching about, just please don't have those conversations in front of the kids. And Erika, please don't make that stupid comment to Denise about how maybe she shouldn't have her kids around their dinner parties. You're an adult, Erika. Maybe you and the other Hos should be adult enough to restrain yourself from improper conversations when kids are around. Teddi and Kyle both need medication or some kind of mood stabilizers because they both cry constantly. -
I think this was the worst VR season ever. It was deadly dull. The newbies suck. I could not care less about them if I tried. The only people I do care about -- James and Kristen -- basically had cameos for most of the season. I'd rather watch James continue his journey with sobriety (go, James!) and Kristen work on her t-shirt empire and her new house than anything else. The show has become so far afield of what it started out being. I really dislike or am indifferent to the "main players." I'm probably done with the show altogether.

Congratulations, Jenna. You actually made me LIKE Hannah, FFS. Heck, I would actually rather spend time with my ex-husband than Jenna. That certainly says something. It's the height of hypocrisy for Jenna to say that Madison should not be talking smack about her superior when Jenna does exactly the same about Glen. She's enraged because Glen had the nerve to call her on her bullshit. I thought Glen handled the talk with Jenna well. Adam shouldn't have been there for the discussion about how the interior suffers because of Jenna's work ethics (or lack thereof) but maybe there should have been a separate discussion between Glen, Adam and Jenna about their nonstop PDA. At least Adam realized they needed to chill the PDA while Jenna bitched and moaned and rode her Huffy bike all over the boat. Although they were still humping each other in the galley afterward so in one ear out the other? Between telling Georgia and Madison that she didn't care what they did, she wasn't giving them instruction on anything on the last charter to telling Glen that she and Adam weren't "fucking in the crew mess," Jenna is as unprofessional as they come. So she assumes that Madison played runtelldat to Glen and proceeds to rip Madison a new one but when informed that it was Ciara that told Glen what was up, Jenna says nothing? Typical bully. I already dislike these charter guests. So was it wonky editing or did Glen really do a pre-charter meeting about preference sheets less than 5 hours before the guests arrived? The primary asked for a pink party - - other than food, what exactly was done for her? There may have been a few pink things on the table but Kate Chastain would have put pink everywhere. Jenna is the WORST. If Jenna truly believed that one of the guests was using cocaine, she should have woken Glen immediately. As he said, if they were stopped and illegal drugs were found onboard, he could lose his license and his career. I hope Chris is okay. Sounds like a very serious injury. Didn't appreciate that Paget made it sound like Chris stubbed his toe and was slacking about in his cabin. Hardly. But when Ciara was stressed out because of . . . reasons . . . he sent her to bed, no problem, and didn't gripe at all. Oh . . . and fuck you, Jenna.

After reading through the posts, I figured out why I'm still watching this shit show. James. I like James and I want to see him succeed. Interesting though that since he's been sober, his screen time has been cut. I also found it interesting that Jax was telling Brittany that he can give her the Leave it to Beaver life but they'd have to go to Kentucky. I take that to mean that in Kentucky, at least in Jax' mind, there are no drugs and no other women. If those are his issues, as I'm pretty sure they are, Brittany should call the movers immediately. But we all know she won't because there are also no reality tv cameras in Kentucky. I appreciate that Dayna is confident but she's also delusional. While she's pretty, she's not hot. I used to live in SoCal -- there are a lot of pretty women in the WeHo area and there are also a lot of hot women (and men). She's not one of them. She's also not funny. Apparently anyone can be a stand-up comedienne these days. That's all I'm going to say about the newbies because they suck and I just don't care. So it takes a YEAR to get custom-made furniture, Flat Iron and Nugget? That would be enough for me right there not to get custom-made furniture. I clicked on the link above for Stassi and Beau's house and it is stunning. Totally jealous.

S01.E15: You Snooze, You Lose
psychoticstate replied to OnceSane's topic in Below Deck Sailing Yacht
So much word. Why didn't Jenna bring in entertainment from port? I'm certain Kate would have. Bring in real musicians, not Georgia and Paget. Bring in dancers. Bring on massage therapists and manicurists. Make it a real amazing trip not only for Kerry but for her friends as well. As one of them said, this is probably the last time they will have this experience. And yes, flowers, as you said. The effort felt half-assed and was half-assed because Jenna was too busy writing slam notes to Adam and worrying about their schmeelings and Adam was too busy being a fuckwit and slamming things around to actually go the extra mile for their jobs. I understand why Glen may not have wanted to say something in the galley if others were around but he definitely saw what was going on. He needs to take care of it ASAP. Jenna got a tip for taking a nap, for God's sake. And Adam with his "this is the first real break I've had all season." Please. Dude, have you already forgotten smacking your stupid face on that log while you were gathering weeds for Jenna? I'm sure you've had breaks throughout the day during the season. And don't forget to thank Madison for not waking you to make food for those drunk, demanding assholes. -
Why do I still watch this shit show? I am so disappointed in myself. I used to look forward to this. Now I'm breathing a sigh of relief because it's the season finale next week.

S01.E15: You Snooze, You Lose
psychoticstate replied to OnceSane's topic in Below Deck Sailing Yacht
So right before the last charter, Jenna finally gets called on her bullshit. It's about damn time. Good on Ciara for telling Glen. Jenna needs to have her ass kicked up and down over leaving Madison alone to wait on the charter guests while Georgia is on break so that Jenna can relax with Adam and then take an hour nap. I didn't think it was possible for her to get any more unprofessional and lazy so congrats, Jenna. I hope that Glen speaks to Adam as well because they're both guilty and they both need to cool it on the PDA. Add me to the Chris love train. He's a hard worker and seems like an easygoing, nice guy. No wonder Georgia is ignoring him for Paget. Previews look interesting -- a charter guest actually bringing coke on board? -
Sure, if Matt didn't want the divorce. He did. He checked out before Amber did so there is no reason for him not to at least sign the separation papers -- other than he's simply a Class A Fuckwit who keeps rising to the challenge to out-fuckwit himself.
-
Exactly. Jenna is a shit chief stew. You don't shirk your duties because you have to run off and have yet another conversation about your fucked up relationship with your asshole chef. Glenn needs to have a convo with both of them about professionalism because they both suck at it. I'm sorry to say that I was hoping both Adam and Jenna would be swept overboard when the boat tilted. I love Kerry's joy at living. It's sad that it took a cancer diagnosis to get it but I understand. I hope for the best for her -- and I also hope this trip, even with Adam and Jenna on board, turned out to be a wonderful experience for her.

I only remember the symbols for gold and mercury on the periodic table because of this episode. So see, you can learn things from FOL! I watched the Runaway episode yesterday and it infuriates me more each time I see it. Tootie wants to be treated more like an adult but whines and stomps her feet like a baby when she doesn't get to go to New York to see a matinee with Blair, Jo and Natalie. Which in itself makes zero sense because earlier in the same season (3), Tootie was going to go to the Bruce Springsteen concert on a Saturday night, which presumably would have been in New York City, in the episode where Natalie was attacked, as well as going to see The Stray Cats in the episode where student Miko was introduced. Again, they probably weren't playing in Peekskill. Never mind that in season 2, when Tootie was all of 12, her parents were apparently okay with Tootie going to New York to model. Anyhow, the Runaway episode made me angry not just because Mrs. Garrett and the girls totally ignored the fact that Kristy, the hooker who befriended Tootie, was probably all of 15 but because when Mrs. Garrett found out that Tootie had disobeyed her and the Ramseys, she got angry with Miko. MIKO. She even snapped at Miko for not stopping Tootie. What is Miko? 14? She wasn't Tootie's keeper and it wasn't her responsibility to keep Tootie from doing stupid shit (good luck with that). And although we never saw what happened after Mrs. Garrett and the girls left the hooker-happy diner, we just know that Tootie probably got in zero trouble, as per usual. I'll admit I'm biased because Tootie was my least favorite character throughout the series but did she ever really get in trouble? She did more dumb shit than the other girls combined and the only real punishment I remember (other than the working in and rooming over the kitchen which all the girls had to do) , the other girls felt "guilty" and helped her out. I also watched the episode from season 5, where we were first introduced to Jeff. Tootie not only gives him a sandwich "on the house" but makes the sandwich with her bare hands, after doing inventory. Gross. The cost of the sandwich should have been deducted from Tootie's pay but we all know that didn't happen. Okay. Rant over!

Doh!

I own the DVD box set of FOL and I've been rewatching episodes during the lockdown. I used to post on the old board and I have to say, I am still annoyed by early seasons Tootie. I like Kim Fields but her early acting was terrible. Unless, of course, you count shouting out your lines, sighing loudly and overexaggerated eyerolls as acting. Clearly the writers loved her character because it seems like almost everything is about Tootie or somehow involves Tootie. Example: The girl who beat out Blair for student council president commits suicide and it becomes all about Tootie, with her even saying that SHE found the girl. Um, no -- - Tootie was with Natalie, who was there to interview the girl for the student newspaper; Tootie was tagging along. And it seemed like every episode where Tootie did something she shouldn't have done, excuses were made for her. I don't know, I just didn't understand why the writers were so fascinated with her. I also found it a bit unrealistic that in the episode where Alison, the former Eastland student who had gotten married and had a baby and was something like 17 years old, would be hugging Natalie and Tootie like they were her old friends. Blair, yes, because Blair was supposed to be 16 or 17 at the time, which would make Natalie 14 or 15 tops and Tootie 12 (which I think was already established in the episode where Tootie, of course, was going to be the next big model). Maybe girls' boarding schools are different but when I was in school, no 16 or 17 year old girl would be hanging out with a 12 year old -- never mind that Tootie might have been all of 11 when Alison was still in school at Eastland. She would have been more likely to be friends with Nancy and Sue Ann, who we saw here and there in episodes in Season 2. So it's really ridiculous to think that if Alison had one day to spend back at Eastland, she'd spend it with Natalie and Tootie, in addition to Blair. Why wouldn't Mrs. Garrett and the girls have invited some other girls to see Alison and her baby? Just didn't ring true. And yes, the episode -- The Little Chill? -- where the OGs return and rewrite history like Jo never knew any of them insulted our intelligence. Of course Jo may not have known some of the things they were talking about if those things happened before she got to Eastland but she at least knew of them! Did the writers not remember what they had written a few seasons earlier? As far as the losing the virginity episode goes, I noticed in The Little Chill episode it's pretty much insinuated that everyone is still a virgin -- except Nancy who is getting married because Roger knocked her up. This was in 1986 so again, not highly realistic. And FWIW, I don't think the writers shied away from having Tootie lose her virginity first because of her race. I think they initially chose Blair because she was the oldest and she was in a longer term dating relationship. Since Lisa Whelchel didn't want to portray that, I think Natalie was a good choice, since she had been dating Snake for a year. I also like that even though Snake freaked out and ghosted Natalie for a bit, she never regretted her decision and it was shown to be a good experience for her. Although Beverly Ann freaking out about it was just stupid. Natalie was something like 20 or 21 at the time so she wasn't a minor. That said, I still appreciate that FOL handled issues that were important to teen girls, as well as serious topics like rape, adultery and addiction. Some of the best episodes were the ones that didn't necessarily have oodles of things going on - - the episode where the girls are cramming for finals at Eastland remains one of my favorites, as well as the episode where they are cruising in Blair's car.

Seeing the flashback to the 2018 reunion made me realize how much I loved it when Kyle cut her hair. I think she looks awful now and the bangs are tragic. I did like the polka dot blouse she wore to Sutton's -- finally, she chose something that looked good on her. Loved what we saw of Sutton's house and loved her cats! I liked Sutton in the first episode but she's trying way too hard to be the HBIC in this group way too early. There were what? 12 people at that dinner party? It's not that hard to find a seat, particularly when everybody gets one, Sutton! That said, Teddi really needs to get a grip. Everyone thought you were boring at first, girl. Heck, they probably still do. Get over it. Or give it back to Sutton. I did have to laugh when Teddi first starting crying, the camera zoomed in on her husband (can't remember his name) busy eating his dinner. Mauricio snaking Denise's salmon was pretty funny. Not funny that, as someone else pointed out, while Kyle had a coronary over Brandi suggesting that Kyle smoked pot, she's apparently fine and dandy with Mauricio being stoned the majority of the time. Are we going to be subjected to The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick in every episode?

I finally watched this today. Matt has not changed one iota. He's still the same insufferable douchebag he was during his season. If this hadn't been filmed before the end of Season 10, I would assume that Matt didn't want to lose his King Fuckwit status to Zach because why else would you refuse to sign separation papers, at least? I don't know the law in NC but it seems that Amber could get an attorney, get Matt served and if he doesn't respond, default his ass. They have been unofficially separated long enough and their train wreck of a marriage is documented on film. Yeah, Matt. Run off to your Instagram girl. Beth is still ridiculous. She can't wait to explain what basic Caucasian sex is - - and keeps saying BCS constantly, like she's going to make it a thing but then feigns embarrassment when Jamie brings up how he managed to overcome all that BCS? Just stop, Beth. And the most horrifying thing I've heard this week is that Beth and Jamie are considering having a baby. Please no. Just don't. While I do think that Jamie and Doug make it work, I also think they work hard at showing us all how they make it work. And Jamie, please quit shopping at the same store that Beth shops at. I don't need to see the upper inner thigh of either one of you. Not sure about Shawniece and Jephte. I think Anthony and Ashley and Bobby and Danielle are both very happy. And certainly didn't see the need to demonstrate or remind us of it every second. I think Bobby remains my fave MAFS husband but I had forgotten how cute Anthony was. I appreciated that Sam from Season 3 Atlanta regrets how she treated Neil, who remains awesome. And they both are friendly and respect each other. I also laughed over Neil doing an update with Tres, who he has apparently remained good friends with. Telling that they are clearly not friends with scummy David. I have had zero time for David ever since he dumped that sweet girl -- was her name Tara? I am drawing a blank. Anyhow, I appreciated Kevin Frazier and the checking in but too much Beth and Jamie.

So last week Jenna got her undies in a bunch because Madison was allegedly getting into her business. This week, Jenna not only airs her business to the charter guests but gets all up in Georgia's business by telling Chris to basically hit it because it would benefit everybody? And why is it okay for Jenna to be sitting down and socializing with the charter guests but Parker got reamed for chatting up the guests? Jenna, is the WORST chief stew in the history of chief stews. What I wouldn't give to have her working under Kate. Kate would eat her alive and I'd be there for that. I think Georgia was flirting with Chris because he's male and he's there. Plus, screen time. Inexplicably, she seems to want Paget. So Ciara invites Paget to dinner so they can have some alone time (understandable). Paget turns around and invites Adam and Jenna, making it a double date? If I were Ciara, I'd be hurt and more than a little pissed off. Sitting at a table for four across from the rest of the crew is hardly a dinner out alone anyhow. I feel for Madison because she really is a third wheel. Byron is being a pissy little bitch to her for no apparent reason. Is he just a mean girl or angling for more screen time? I got where Adam was coming from with the flowers. Jenna made such a point to tell him that she NEVER gets flowers, no one has ever sent her flowers, that she would probably break down and cry if anyone ever sent her flowers. I mean, maybe he should have waited until the charter was over and then bought her flowers from a street vendor or something when they went out to eat but at least he tried (and face planted a log in the process). And instead of seeing the gesture as a sweet, romantic or caring one, she really blew him off and was pretty indifferent about the whole thing. However, Adam is an ass and deserved the whole thing after his glee over Parker potentially being fired. That proposal was awkward AF. Of course Jenna is going to encourage Jesse. She's still salty about the women finding Adam cute. Don't worry, Jenna. They're all intoxicated and would probably find that log Adam ran into "hot." So she encourages Jesse to propose, the same way she encouraged him to run down to the galley to see what's going on. Even though Adam told her that she didn't need to worry -- young, blonde Californians weren't his type (obviously boring, needy and whiny shitty chief stews are). Not surprised by their "surprise" blow up post-banging in the master. Wonder how soon Adam and/or Jenna will play runtelldat with the rest of the crew? And their moody, sulky behavior will no doubt impact the rest of the crew but hey, don't be getting into Jenna's business!
