i am teaching my grandkids to address people as 'miss so and so' or mister 'so and so'. it comes naturally now. i wasn't raised that way but as an older adult i thought it was more respectful. wish i had done that with my own kids.

BSG - that would scare me to death. hate fire unless its in the fireplace where it belongs. we are expecting a week of rain. i hear the up in santa barbara they are evacuating again, ahead of the rain, due to the horrible floods from january. this is the 4th time these folks have been evacuated. i personally love the rain and look forward to it, with the exception of having to drive in it a few times this week for scheduled appointments. i kinda wish it was next week when my grandson will be home on spring break but hey - he likes the rain too so getting damp at school won't bother him.

i did too. and frankly, i dont have an issue with austin at this point. i also agree about his eyes sometimes being 'steely'. but all in all, i will give these two time before i decide if i like them together.

i was thinking again...(i do this every once in a while) that it is kinda nice they had a boy. barring jinger's baby, gideon has lots of basically same-age boy cousins to grow up with. a girl in the mix would have felt like when joy was the only girl in that long line of boys growing up.

this must SO piss her off when she sneaks a peak here and reads that we already know...

that baby is adorable!

first, my church is a two story building and we use the gym to worship in on sundays. its like a school, i guess, with classrooms. as for money to build: well those big glass and fancy places have hundreds and hundreds of people who tithe and fund-raise for years to build. my church is much smaller. we all donated over several years and did things in stages (planning, blueprints etc) and did a lot of the work to actually build our building after meeting in a real school for many years. no millionaire donors but plenty of little guys that supported the project.

if it is a similar church to what i attend, we dont pay dues and we are not forced to tithe. however, i DO tithe because it is what i beleive in. i know there are some religions that have these requirements of their members but i doubt that this church is in that group.
