  1. Per Robyn's twitter, when Day-un had his accident, he asked the family that it not be mentioned in the show. That is why we haven't heard about it until now. But when it came time for the surgery, he decided to go on camera to talk about it. I wonder if the medical lien on Robyn's house from several years ago is from the ATV accident. I was a little taken aback by something that Day-un said in his TH. He said that Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin had Aspergers. I had not heard of this. Is there historical medical data that current doctors are using to make that diagnosis?
  2. They started this season off exactly the same way as last season, complaining about all the various parties they had to plan within a week's time. Last season it was birthdays and anniversaries, this season it is graduations. Kody used the exact same script too. Boring. They really need to get the script straight on the business too. First Kody was all excited that investors were coming on board, it was exactly what they needed to grow the business. Now he is saying he DOESN'T want investors so they can keep sole ownership. Robyn wants integrity over money, even though this business is supposed to pay for four households. Meri doesn't think it's "fun" anymore. When was boxing up $200 earrings fun? Idiots, all of them. I take it Day-un was not wearing a helmet when he had his ATV accident. That injury looked horrible. Loved his smack-down of of Kody- "Of COURSE I'm worried, it's surgery [you doofous]." I hope the corrective surgery works. Maddie: "Get out. Get out. Get out." Well done. Looks like another road tip in the future, more tears over not bonding and I guess it is Christine's mom who moves in. Wonder why, since she has distanced herself from polygamy.
  3. I fast-forwarded through all that crap during the show. No point in watching this eppie. Why don't they just rename the show "Shit-Stirrer Master" and get it over with? It's 75% shit-stirring and 25% tats at this point.
  4. A nice little summary of all the past PR winners and what they are doing now: http://www.buzzfeed.com/bricesander/where-are-they-now-all-13-project-runway-winner-wn2y?bffb&utm_term=4ldqpgx#.fjrdWRv96
  5. $1.85 mil for 6.5 acres, 12 cabins and 28 cabin/lodge rentals, restaurant, bar and pool. Those were not minor changes and aesthetic upgrades that Anthony was talking about. He didn't even really get to the aesthetic upgrades.I don't know how they can sell it at that price without making a lot of the repairs Anthony discussed. But I do like that the pic in the Craigslist ad shows that the lobby still is painted turquoise blue. The cool side chairs are gone though.
  6. I believe it's Robyn complaining about the lack of direction in the family. In other words, the other wives are STILL not helping out with the joowry bizness, wah wah.
  7. About the only positive thing I can say about this season is I like the way they filmed all the scenes that weren't THs or scripted scenes about people. Great cinematography. Paulie and Rosemary have never had lunch together alone in 15+ years? I think that proves that these women (as well as the Brown Fools) are all lying about what good friends they all are. The rest of the show was just a blur. I was too bored.
  8. I wish they would spend more time on the 35 hour tat process. Film each person getting tattooed and do a freeze frame at each 7-hour mark. Speed up the film when showing it, but it gives the viewer an idea about how the tat came together. The artist (i use that term loosely with some of these guys) can explain why they are doing what, like Jason did with the blue background. Then spend some time with the finished tat. The whole process would use up maybe 10 minutes of time. I know that is 10 minutes of "I know You are, but what am I" that we would miss out on, but I think we'd be fine with that. Forget the look on Cleen's face when Jason's name was announced, did you see the look on Nunez's face when Dave said "Jason"? Talk about pissed.
  9. I'm a retired game warden and few clients ever talked about eating them. It happens of course but it isn't in big demand. As far as where the Kessler Canyon restaurant would get the meat in the first place, they would have to purchase farm-raised meat (illegal to sell wild meat) and a quick search on the Interwebs doesn't show anyone selling mountain lion. Unfortunately it does show a company selling American-raised African lion meat (ick) as well as other cringe-worthy critters. There were several articles about restaurants that had advertised lion meat dinners that were shut down by public outcry. Maybe the same can happen with this situation. If it really is mountain lion meat, another poor association made by Lenny.
  10. Rumor Boutique Hotel, and it has some interesting TripAdvisor reviews. Lots of comments on the decor.
  11. I was surprised that it was sad, meek little Robyn who said she was ready to bolt the religion when Brady first brought up leaving. She seems like the one who is still only one step out of the prairie dress. I was also surprised when Rosemary said the wives had never really discussed, as a group, leaving the religion, and their booze-night discussion was the first since they had left. Kinda makes me think their leaving wasn't really a "decision" but a "booting", as has been alluded to in various media reports. It was also interesting that Rosemary was talking about the strangeness of their situation, like maybe she is having some second thoughts about being low man on the Brady Totem Pole. When Rhonda grabbed onto the pole in the limo, I screamed at the the TV, "Don't touch that thing Rhondaaaaaa!" Scared the shit out of my cat. I was just in Vegas. Rode on the High Roller. Brady should have taken her there, that was pretty cool and not very expensive. They tweeted that they quit the two- night rotation because they all hated it. Duh.
  12. Oh sweet jeebus, NOOOOOOOOO http://www.tmz.com/2014/12/13/mama-june-sex-tape-offer-sugar-bear-porn-vivid/
  13. I think Paulie's oldest boy converted to LDS so that is why he is going on a two year mission. Taylor apparently went on a short service-type project like the one you mentioned, so not sure why they referred to it as a mission.
  14. Now I'm confused. Brady is now saying the construction business is his and his brother has worked for him for 20 years. But in previous episodes he has said the business was his brother's. There is no way his brother is going to make a living (supporting a family) making forged goods. Those two guys have inherited Rod's whacko dreamer gene. Even if Nonie didn't remember the actual physical pain of morning sickness, didn't she remember that she HAD morning sickness during her other pregnancies? Didn't she realize that it only gets worse as you get older? Didn't she realize that she was going to have to continue to be a mother to her five other children and work at her job? Idiots, all of them. I am officially over Brady's sad-sack demeanor and bobble-head action that he always has going on in the THs. He's like melting wax.
  15. I'm crunchy and make all my own personal products and cleaning products. I use essential oils (not Young Living since they are a pyramid company, and for other reasons). No I do not believe they can block ebola! Anna is not the type of person to use essential oils or represent the lifestyle that uses EOs. Those statements she made that were quoted by TMZ were ridiculous. Someone talked her into joining the MLM scheme. There is no way she will make any money selling those oils. The whole thing reminds me of the Kody Brown Family and their green goo company.
  16. Continuing her attempt to stay in the news, Mama June admits she lied about dating Mark, but wants to get back together with Sugar Bear: http://www.tmz.com/2014/11/30/mama-june-sugar-bear-mark-mcdaniel-honey-boo-boo/ Anna launches the GoFundMe page and promptly gets hammered for it: http://www.tmz.com/2014/11/30/honey-boo-boo-chickadee-free-money-fans-facebook/
  17. Well, Skip was actually the third guest! I loved seeing him on the other side of the table, sitting there looking excited while his cousin read the little white book of ancestry to him. She even gave him his own official ancestry map! His Mayle ancestor was an interesting man and the late 1700s mixed-marriage town in the hills was fascinating. After all the work that he has done for others, it was pretty cool he was able to get some answers on his white ancestry. I really enjoyed this season. Even though they had three guests per episode, I liked how they used each episode to highlight a certain topic or location. I didn't know about half of the guests but that didn't stop me from enjoying their segments.
  18. Brady kept repeating how the construction business in Utah is on the upswing and he is doing so well now, yet we all know he just had a bankruptcy. It was on TV, the internet and in print. It is really ridiculous that they are not only not addressing the money problems, but are steaming ahead in increasing the size of their family, moving to another state and will have to spend in the mid to high six-digits for land and homes. And I am sick and tired of Tailey and Rod. Rod especially was a little too excited and took things a little too personally regarding Brady reproducing. Bleh. Paul is allowed to feel his feelings, Brady. Let him be.
  19. You are remembering correctly, they live in homes on AUB land, in an AUB community. The backlash from this story might be the final push that moves them to Washington.
  20. Rosemary is reporting she was sexually abused by her father, Lynn Thompson (current leader of the AUB Church) when she was 12: http://www.kpho.com/story/27457950/woman-on-my-five-wives-accuses-father-of-abuse?autostart=true
  21. According to their tweets, it was a joke.
  22. Looks like she has three or four Facebook pages that are legitimately hers (and a couple mockers). Maybe she can't figure out which one to post to. What is absolutely mindboggeling to me is June had around 1600 likes on her main page the day this mess broke and she now has over 9800.
  23. And that includes TLC. Did they just think this family, and specifically June, were run-of-the-mill train wrecks? This situation had about a bazillion red flags from the beginning. I am also wondering why the McDaniel case never came up before now. Obviously someone did a records search two years ago in order to come up with the cases listed in the NE article. Anna's case would have come up; her name would have been redacted due to her age, but June and Sandra's names would still have been listed. Granted, June would have lied her way out of the story like she did with the other stories and we didn't have the joy of viewing the photos like we did recently, but it is interesting it never came up,
  24. It's all over on the old Sister Wives Blog and Cynical Jink's Living Room, back when the series was just starting. I'll have to dig around to find the sources. ETA: This is the link to the Sister Wives Blog that first discussed why Brady left the church. Unfortunately, the comments section at The Wrap is now deleted but posters at SWB discuss those comments. http://sisterwivesblog.blogspot.com/2013/08/tlc-introduces-progressive-polygamists.html Virgina Hill lawsuit. Sorry, the AUB bilked her out of $1.5 million. My bad. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/968665/Polygamist-church-bilked-woman-judge-rules.html?pg=all http://www.religionnewsblog.com/1909/temple-rituals-allegedly-stolen
  25. But as you see on the show, the wives really struggle with the religious part of their life. Some of them act like they really didn't want to leave the church/sect and the teachings, and are really just pissed at the church/sect itself. Brady is really the only one who said screw it and is moving on quite nicely. Like I said over at TWoP, he is creating his own Church of the Smoochy Love Ya's and he doesn't give a flying crap what the AUB thinks about it. I think the main reason they don't state exactly why they left the church is because they are living on AUB property. If they spell it out, they may get the 30 day eviction notice in the mail and on top of the bankruptcy, that would be too much all at once for poor little Brady to deal with.
