  1. Bull may roll on her now. It's been ten years since the murder and Becky did marry Haney three months after the murder, rather than hooking up with Bull in appreciation for what he did. Now that they both have been arrested, Becky may try to dump it all on him. If he pulls his head out of his ass and still has anything incriminating against her, now is the time to use it.
  2. I thought that maybe the wives share a bedroom and Captain Von Trapp has his own room. The wives then take turns visiting The Captain on their night. I've heard of Biblical pligs having that arrangement. I just don't understand how these guys can convince a woman that their marriage, that has started out as monogamous and already has several children in it, needs to become polygamous. Capt VT Richards has the charisma of a wet noodle; I have no idea how he got his wife to follow his wet dream into a plig marriage. LOVED the sea of red hair in that family. Robyn tweeted they gave the Richard wives MSWC joory and they wore it during the couch interviews.
  3. I thought the same thing about the phone calls. Twenty-nine calls in one day? Eight within 15 minutes of the killing? Plus the sad excuse of an alibi at the Harmon's, it all screamed "Bull is guilty" to me. His twitchy interview was fun to watch. When Becky got cuffed all she said was "Oh, OK." Very deadpan. Whacko. Loved that Kelly said she'd interpret Georgian for Yolanda. I really like their personal dynamic.
  4. Yes. Not restrictive at all. If the situation wasn't what the woman thought it would be, she could "divorce" and move on.
  5. Nope, only 20 or 22 kids (can't remember the exact number). Many wives only stayed for a short time, around nine or so were there for the majority of the marriage.
  6. The founder, Alex Joseph, started out as Greek Orthodox, converted to LDS then to AUB. He was kicked out of the AUB. He then started his own sect based on the portions of the Bible that referred to polygamy. The religion was based solely on the interpretation of the Bible verses on polygamy rather than revelations of Joseph Smith and others in the FLDS sects. The family courted the media as early as 1975, inviting them into the compound, doing interviews and even had a movie made about them. There were several other families involved in the religion other than the Josephs. When Alex died in 1998, the religious part kind of fell apart and some of the families involved have moved from the town, although some still remain. There are still practicing polygamist families here. I am friends with some of those who remain and they have been very candid about their life and lifestyle. All of the Joseph wives worked, none used the government system and Alex was very involved in both the wives and the children's lives. He had over 20 wives during the years but only seven were with him at the end. None of his children are polygamists. It was interesting that Robyn said she had never heard of Biblical polygamists when the Joseph family has been very front and center in the plig community for 40 years. If you want to read up on the various sects of polygamy in Utah, go to the Utah Attorney General's website and read The Primer. It is the document for law enforcement and state/county/local agencies that helps explain the sects and spell out consistent enforcement of the Utah laws. Arizona has the same document. http://attorneygeneral.utah.gov/protecting-utah/from_crime/polygamy/ ETA: Now, the whole Biblical explanation thing was given to me by one of the family members of the group in my town. God only knows what we will hear on Sunday when the Richards are shown! Could be a whole different explanation than the one I was given. We will see....
  7. Money earned gets divided into five equal family/Kody pots and one community pot to be used as needed by which ever mom needs it at the moment. They never said if the community pot was equal to the others. Kody has always been very clear that their money was equally divided by wife, period. However, Janelle seemed to get the short end of the financial stick on a regular basis. When she got an inheritance, it was used to buy the Lehi home (after Kody begged her to return to the family). After a while, she added Meri and Kody's names to the title. When they moved to Vegas, her retirement fund was used to fund the move.
  8. I live in southern Utah and in a plig town. The men in the fundy sects wear button down shirts that are buttoned at the necks and at the wrists, even in the heat of the summer. The sect in my town is biblical, not fundy, and the remaining members dress in a variety of ways.
  9. Our entertainment, for a limited time.
  10. I think if they are going to lose any of the homes, they will lose the homes in the single mother's names. Their best hope is keeping the home in Meri and Kody's name (the one that they made the largest one). But I still think they will lose everything and head back to the Lehi plig home, where the threee single mothers will live with their kids, and Meri and Kody will set up shop in another house.
  11. I've often wondered if when the house of cards collapse and they have to move back to Lehi, Meri moves out into her own place and the other three wives and their kids move back into the old plig house. Meri can have her solitary lifestyle with Lover that she has always wanted and the pile o' wives and kids are all over in the plig house for Kody to visit.
  12. Well, following in the fine tradition of the Polygamy Financial Planning (bankruptcy), Brady and Co. have filed for bankruptcy to the tune of $402,000. I guess the TLC gravy train didn't help much. By the way, he lists his wedding ring as worth $50. http://www.tmz.com/2014/07/08/my-five-wives-brady-williams-bankruptcy-utah-polygamy/
  13. The investigation into the Browns was opened because they went on the show. From what I read, it was solely about possible fraud. The investigation was also closed before the flight to Vegas was filmed.
  14. $250,000 to $500,000 and 5% of the business, to be re-evaluated in six months. Robyn and Janelle said they would roll out new product within a few weeks. Christine squealed about getting money. Then Janelle said if they don't get any new business they will loose the business and be left with debt [sad face].
  15. So the truth comes out- they needed the money so they can put kids through college (can't get rid of college loans in a bankruptcy) and so Robyn can have a baby and a life, since she is so tired after selling 500 trinkets over the past two years. When was this show filmed, I wonder? Have they had their six-month review yet? I also wonder if the cheesy watches that were recently added to the site are the "new product" they are rolling out. So now Kody is saying he really didn't want to move to Vegas but he had to sell it to the family. What a jackass. The wives mentioned several times in THs that he had wanted to move to Vegas for years. Do these people forget that their lives for the past 4-5 years is all on video? The whole meet-up with Meri's kindergarten friend was a little weird. She hasn't seen her in 37 years. Do any of us really remember our friends from kindergarten and have any fond memories to share? I guess they needed some lead-up to the persecuted plig segment. I wonder how much of the $250,000 went towards the "We Appreciate Kody" party?
  16. That is exactly how Duchesne turned out. It has taken a year and a half for him to adapt, but he loves everyone who comes in contact with him. Very smart and when I go away for a week or two (I am a Grand Canyon river guide) he is OK with ruling his roost, as long as the neighbors come by twice daily for some loving. I did have to draw the line at his hunting lizards under the screen door (the big 9-12 inch desert ones)........ I was interested to see Jackson use his Spirit Essence this episode. I just received his Easy Traveler drops for my mom's cat Rosie. Rosie gets violently ill when traveling and so far has not responded to any medications, so hopefully herbal will be the way to go.
  17. It's no longer a show called "My Cat From Hell." It should be called "My Owners From Hell." Cats submit videos of owners who just don't understand what it means to own a pet, who refuse to set up a proper pet environment and who torment them with other out-of-control pets. After the owners sit there rambling on about what a bad kitty BooBoo is, the first thing out of Jackson's mouth should be "OK, let's see what YOU are doing to make this situation so bad." I adopted a three year old male feral cat. He was 13 pounds yet skinny and malnourished when I adopted him. He was king of the mean streets of Phoenix (torn up ears, scars, busted teeth). He had been dodging coyotes for a long time. This cat should have been completely messed up. I provided only gentle touches, many cat condos, toys, kittyTV outside his window perch (bird feeders), organic food and too many beds. He has turned into the most amazing indoor pet cat ever (and 17 pounds). My sister, who was involved in the Feral Cat Initiative in NYC and has handled thousands of feral cats, is in awe of this cat. It can be done. This is why I have no patience for some of these idiots on this show.
  18. Then she sat there and actually complained that Jackson was blaming the dogs! What an idiot. I was about to pee myself when those dogs started barking and chasing that poor 12 year old cat. Chris was a dick, period. So it takes a few extra minutes to wipe the counters before you cook. So what. The first family was no better. They didn't understand that a cat that had lived through a house fire, was still traumatized from that and now had NOTHING to call it's own was still terrified? I just don't understand how people can be so stupid when it comes to pet ownership.
  19. The douchbag was still bragging about it 24 years later, when he should have grown up a bit and known better. I'm really hoping the grand jury indicts against the Fisting Giant (can't remember his name). I wonder why the first woman he attacked was talked out of pursuing charges against him.
  20. The wolf is also one of the ultimate predators, which tied in with the green riddle Malvo told Gus. Gus sees a wolf in the road, slams on the brake to avoid hitting it and guess who is hiding out just to the left? Malvo. Who sees the wolf just moments before he is killed by Gus (shades of greeen....)? Malvo.
  21. I don't think they have ever had a 22-episode season, so you are probably seeing all the episodes. In fact, I think one season was only 8 or 10 episodes long, if I remember correctly.
  22. Maybe it's because of Janelle's purported money acumen that they have been able to file bankruptcy so many times! They have gotten pretty good at rotating through each wife's credit (and demolishing it in 5-7 years). Robyn's credit was pretty dismal when she entered the family so I don't know if they were able to rack up the credit card debt with her like they did with the other wives. I still think the sessions with the credit adviser were all BS and they never paid anything off, especially Robyn.
  23. @Rhondinella, the builder gave the Browns a three year, interest-only loan for the homes. After that, they have to find conventional financing on their own in order to keep the homes. There is no way they will do that with their financial history, so the builder will get those homes back. He probably didn't want four homes with the same floor plan and options that he will have to flip, all in the same cul-de-sac, so he I'm betting he allowed the wives to select different plans and options as part of the storyline. Of course Queen Meri had to get the house with the mostest stuff and rooms. I guess they figure if there is a chance in hell that they may qualify for one home, they will keep the one that has Meri and Kody's name on it.
  24. I remember they talked about this during one of their "business" meetings or when they were placing the joory at Guilt. They were going with a new supplier (the woman who went to Guilt with them) and they had to buy a fair number of units from her to get a decent price. I remember one of the wives was freaking out over having so much product on hand, knowing they don't sell jackshit. I seem to remember Robyn talking about making $500 or so after "minusing out" costs during the first year. Doesn't jive with the $45,000 amount they gave to the VC group. Janelle said they should just tell them to read their hand-out and find whatever information they were looking for in there. Real professional.
  25. But doesn't Day-un get his own planet as an adult (with his wife) and the girls go to their husbands' planets when they get married? I thought only unmarried children remain on their parent's planet.
