  1. I think this is the first time I've been disappointed in a gmw episode. I can't believe she made the team. Cheerleading is a sport like any other and Riley showed no effort to be a cheerleader before the yearly tryout. She could hurt someone or be seriously hurt if she doesn't know what she's doing. I'm all for trying your best but Riley didn't even practice. She just assumed that she would get by on personality and eagerness alone. Wrong. So wrong. I thought that maybe they would make her mascot or something.
  2. I liked the episode. I did think it was kind of muted but I think that was kind of the point. Barry's guilt over Eddie and then Ronnie really messed him up. He seems like the type to internalize everything so it made sense that he pushed everyone away. I like that we got moments with a lot of different pairings. I feel like Iris is such a stronger character this season and I'm happy to see her be a real part of the team. I didn't see anything terribly special about Barry and Caitlin's screen time other than friendship. I think it was a scene we needed because Barry felt awful for his part in Ronnie's death. I would like to see Barry and Cisco have some screen time together too.
  3. I thought the episode was pretty good. I felt like there was a lot crammed in. I like that there were repurcussions for Liv for not giving blood to Evan. Painful maybe but also realistic. I'm sad that Peyton moved out completely. I thought she would come back eventually. I hate to see Major struggle but he gets himself in stupid situations. Tell Liv about Max Rager, she can take care of herself. You keeping quiet is just stupid. Now you've murdered someone on top of you already murdering those zombies last season. The lack of relevant coversation and sharing of important info between Major and Liv bugs even more that he knows her secret. I do agree about there needing to be a balance between Liv and the brain she ate. I'm mostly annoyed that she is unaware that she's not acting normally. Some laugh out loud moments tho. Ravi telling Major that he doesn't react to zombie Liv is because she domesticated him. Also the whole scene with Liv and the black suspect at the precinct.
  4. I really liked it. It started out slow but there were a lot of cute, funny moments. I loved that there were a million Rileys in Maya's head telling her what to do. Topanga is no better than Ava when it comes to sharing candy and I enjoyed Cory's dance to get the kids to bed.
  5. I liked this movie a lot. It was a lot funnier than I was expecting and there was such a receptive audience in the theater I was in. Jesse and Kristen's chemistry was on point as always. I wish it had made more at the box office but I'm glad it was released.
  6. Mona's mother in Beautiful is pretty awful. The scene where she just wanted her Mother to come in sit in the family box and she flatly refused is hard to watch.
  7. My favorite Hugh Grant romance is Two weeks notice. I have a lot of favorites. I think an underrated one is Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. Their chemistry is great. I also love What's Your Number?
  8. I usually thought that Scott was the heart of the pack. The bleeding heart most of the time. I don't know why Theo would want to either be alpha of Scott's pack or his beta. I think Scott's pack may have a supernatural reputation now but I hate to think that all it would take is a couple of lies from a stranger to tear friendships apart. Theo is tearing through the pack like paper and I hope that its intentional on Scott and Stiles' parts. I'm still struggling to understand Stiles' survivor's guilt. If he accidentally killed Lydia or Malia or any of his close friends on accident, it would be more believable. Stiles was fighting for his life and he came out the victor. What's the alternative? Donovan wasn't going to be talked down after being given the power to kill Stiles. I'm thinking that Scott's asthma and his uncharacteristic friendship/boyfriend/big brother failures are because of something the DD or Theo did to him. Same thing with Stiles not trusting his friends to have his back.
  9. This might have been the worst episode of teen wolf I have ever ff through. Does no one know how to have a coherent conversation anymore? Everyone is so ineffective and inactive mostly because no one is talking to each other. Scott has been especially useless this season. He doesn't have any cool alpha powers/moments, he has asthma which he has not done anything about. He's a terrible friend and boyfriend all of a sudden. Why couldn't he just trust in Stiles like he did when he was possessed by the nogitsune? How is this situation any different from that? I have to assume at this point in time it's bad writing. I'm hoping that this is all part of the plan but I'm not going to hold my breath. Idk I'm just disappointed with how terrible this season has become in comparison to the first couple of episodes.
  10. I really liked the episode, this season keeps getting better and better. I love how much Farkle and Lucas' relationship has grown from the beginning. It wasn't what I was expecting. They're really friends and Lucas really cares about Farkle. I was very surprised that Farkle didn't change back but it's nice to show that people change. Kids can change very quickly and drastically and I am very interested in seeing how his transformation will go. I was very surprised by how Maya reacted to Riley changing. I never expected her to become her in order to get her back. I was dismayed however when the class told her they wouldn't miss Maya, that was mean. As for the secret she found out, I'll take it with a grain of salt. I felt that may be more her perception of Riley and Lucas' relationship than actual 100 percent reality. Which is telling in and of itself. As for Maya and Lucas being the better couple, sometimes I see it and sometimes I dont. Chemistry is subjective, others will see it and some won't. I don't think she bullies him anymore than she does anyone else and I think he knows that her teasing him is a part of their relationship. Ymmv. I do think it could happen way down the road if the show is on long enough but I can't see it happening while Riley is still in like with him.
  11. I think the stakes are too high for them to sugarcoat this issue. Transgender people get killed all the time if they don't disclose or if someone decides that they don't like that their transgendered. I'm glad that she has her family to guide her and her support group to give her useful, empathic advice. I've been following Jazz since her first interview, I'm glad that she is flourishing and still sharing her story the way she wants to. So many sad stories about lgbt kids that it's nice to see a success story.
  12. I feel the same way about the lying. Why is everyone lying all of sudden this season? Things that would be shared with the whole pack last season are being kept in the dark for no apparent reason. I know that they are trying to set up the lies tearing the pack apart but there are better ways to go about it. And the liars are usually the most blunt, honest, people in the group. Stiles is lying about Donovan which has already blown up in his face since Theo is now blackmailing him Malia is lying about the Desert Wolf to Stiles of all people. Wasn't he the one helping her look for her? Scott is lying to Kira about her kitsune. Which is also going to blow up in his face. Why isn't he the one trying to figure out what is going on with her? And the fact that he told Theo that he didn't trust her anymore was kind of ridiculous. On that note why isn't Kira trying to figure out what is going on with her? She has her mother as a source of information and she can also do research on her own but I have seen no evidence that she is doing so. I don't like Liam's friend, I feel like they are trying too hard to make her happen. Way too much time spent on her surly attitude about something that happened ten years ago. I also don't like how isolated Liam is from the rest of the pack.
  13. Tyler Hoechlin Wilson Bethel Robbie Amell
  14. I found everyone to be super annoying in this episode. Lying doesn't get you anywhere and from the point in the episode when Stiles didn't tell anyone that he was attacked, the lying continued ad naseum for the whole episode. Sitles not telling what happened is understandable from the standpoint of him never really having killed anyone before. He's obviously freaked out but I also do think it has a lot to do with his differing viewpoint about whether or not you should kill someone who is a real threat to you. For Scott it's black and white and always has been but for Stiles, its a gray area. I do hope that he gets that bite checked out though. I was under the impression that the dread doctors cleaned up the mess and that Jordan then came and took the body. I do feel that its a compulsion for him to burn the bodies because they are not natural. I am very interested in seeing him caught in the act, if that would make him snap out of it? Scott not telling Kira that her fox spirit is pretty much consuming her is a really stupid thing. I understand him not wanting to alarm her but she has already tried to execute someone and she's also talking japanese in her sleep. All things that point to her kitsune influencing her in ways it probably shouldn't be. I can see that being the reason that she leaves. I don't think that anyone is saying that Scott should kill everyone who might be a threat but he does have to acknowledge that letting villains go doesn't always work. Most of the time it blows up in their face. Sometimes taking a life is necessary. It doesn't make you an evil person but it may protect you in the future. I'm super annoyed with Scott and the mountain ash. When he was becoming a true alpha, they made a point of showing that its something that he can get past but he doesn't seem to remember that this season. Its probably more of a plot contrivance than anything else but it bugs. I do love Stiles and Lydia's relationship. Its grown so much since season one and while I wouldn't mind them getting together in the future, I don't want them together now. I love her relationship with Jordan and I love Stiles relationship with Malia. I don't think that anything will come of Malia spending time with Theo, I think her animal way of seeing things would never equal her cheating on Stiles.
  15. I thought that was a really good season finale. I wish Liv had just killed Blaine, she cured him but couldn't he simply be re-zombies by one of his minions? I am also wary of the fact that she gave Major the cure without knowing it's effects. Not smart Liv. I also selfishly wanted more time with zombie Major. He would have been cranky for a while but he would have gotten over it I feel. He already seemed to be coming around when she gave him the cure. I'm glad he finally knows the truth. He was pretty bad ass the whole episode. He could definitely make a living as a zombie hunter for hire. It would have been so much more poetic if he was a zombie while he did it but I digress. Blaine is not wrong about his role in keeping ooc zombies in check with his business. Maybe it can be done without murdering people. Maybe getting the brains from the morgue like Liv? Liv continues to be completely selfish when it comes to zombiesm. It's not just about her and I'm glad Major called her on it. Poor thing though. She was basically rejected by Major, who she was willing fo spend eternity with and then Evan gets hurt and needs her tainted blood. What's a girl to do?
  16. Does Maya's crush on Josh make anyone else uncomfortable? Maybe it's because she comes on so strong. And maybe I dont like that he seemingly has to feel bad because he doesnt like her in that way. It kind of reminds me of when Topanga had a crush on Eric in season one. I'm glad though that made everyone see each other differently. I liked Riley a lot in this one. The sorority stuff was comedy gold. Auggie was so cute keeping Riley's secret.
  17. I know Liv is a bad friend. She ignored a call from Peyton as well if I recall correctly, I just hate it lol . I want her to start paying attention to the friends and family she has left and start taking this zombie crisis a little more seriously. It doesn't just affect her anymore. I wish we had more time with human Liv to see what she was like before she became a zombie.
  18. I don't think Sebastian knew anything about zombies. Why would he? I think he would have picked a better victim if that was the case and he seemed surprised at how Liv turned the tables on him. Liv got on my nerves in this episode. I understand that she was grieving but she's a shitty friend. She knew Lowell for all of a month but Major who she dated for two years, who's supposedly her best friend can't be given the time of day while he is clearly in crisis? I also feel like he's way too nice to Liv. I couldn't believe her when she asked him to rub her back like he used to when they were together. She claims to see Blaine for the threat he really is but she still really thinks that he's just going to let Major continue to live knowing what he knows? Not likely.
  19. I think Barry was probably sheltered by Joe like Iris was and I also think that Barry's dad sheltered him as well. He's possibly the most upbeat prisoner I have seen on a tv show and I can imagine that he made light of what prison was really like for him, Barry works with his father and he almost always listens to what Joe tells him is right and wrong. He may be friends with Oliver but I think he has blinders there as well. Judging from his interactions with Oliver so far I would say he sees Oliver as a big brother/mentor. He may not always agree with his methods but he sees the Arrow/Oliver as someone to aspire to. For me there have been moments throughout the season where Barry has been too trusting or foolhardy or not as smart as purported. I actually like those moments. Barry isn't perfect, he makes a lot of mistakes, he doubts himself all the time, he doesn't always get it right the first time around. Maybe this will be a learning experience for the coming seasons. I don't think it would have mattered what the stakes were to save his mother. If there was the smallest chance that he could do it and succeed at it, I think he would always attempt it until he knew for sure that her death was for the best. This seems to be a character flaw consistent with his comic book counterpart. I think it would be nice if he could make the big personal sacrifice but I don't think he's that kind of hero yet. I mean let's face it he's only been a superhero for about a year or so and I think it's still hard for him to think about the big picture when the people he loves are involved. I do agree that the reason that he had to go back in time to save his mother should have been a little more urgent. But I'm ultimately satisfied with how the episode went down. I think it was important for Barry as a man and as a superhero to not save his mom. That was a huge sacrifice for him and I hope it affects him next season.
  20. I agree with you ladyrott. Riley really rubbed me the wrong way in this episode and I love Riley. She made everything about her and the whole situation had absolutely nothing to do with her. Whether Lucas wanted to tell her what happened at his old school was completely up to him and it was rude of her to act like she should have known all along. That he was somehow a different person because he didn't tell her every little thing about himself. I don't think Peyton is that wooden but I do like to think that his politeness is a choice. That he has to try really hard to make better choices and that we might see more of what he was like before he transferred.
  21. I don't think they are surprised at all. This is aimed towards viewers of BMW who are primarily adults. No normal tween is going to care about any of these characters or what happened to them after all this time. I am honestly surprised that the show is so popular with the younger set because a lot of what happens with the original cast is so meta sometimes. I try to imagine if I didn't know who Shawn and Eric were if I would even care about them coming on the show. Same thing with Angela or seeing Minkus or seeing Feeny or hearing the Feeny call after all this time. I feel like a lot of upcoming reboots/sequel shows are trying to capture the viewers who loved it the first time around.
  22. I'm a bit surprised by the level of anger that Barry is receiving for wanting to save his Mom from being murdered, to prevent his Father from going to jail for the rest of his life, for wanting to have his family be whole again. Was it a selfish decision? Maybe but I think that depends on what you expect from Barry as a man and as a hero. I see Barry as being kind of sheltered and naive. He tends to believe the best of people maybe when he shouldn't. He makes stupid mistakes but that has been a consistent facet of his character. Another constant is the desire to have his family be how it was before the reverse flash tore it apart. I never expected his answer to be different. I also think that this is something that Barry had to do for himself to realize that his mother's death was meant to be. Nothing anyone said was going to make him realize that until he experienced for himself. I was surprised that his two dads had such differing opinions as to whether Barry should change the past or not. I loved all of his scenes with his Joe and Henry and I really loved when he admitted that he would be losing a parent and when he called Joe Dad. I sometimes felt like Barry didn't want to acknowledge that fact that Joe has been his father for the last 15 years. Possibly because he felt it was a betrayal to his biological father. I will say that the idea that they were going to let Eobard go back to his time was a head scratcher for me. What's to stop him from doing the same thing all over again? They had no way of knowing what he would do when he got there. The world possibly ending was more of upping the ante than anything else and I didn't honestly expect it to happen considering what kind of show this is. I just personally don't have moral dilemmas with light shows like this, ymmv. I also don't think that Eddie would have even thought of getting a vasectomy to solve the problem of Eobard Thawne. Eddie wanted to be remembered as a hero. He wanted his life/death to mean something in the future and I think he thought this was the best thing to do at that moment in time. Also vasectomy's are not a hundred percent foolproof. I am disappointed that Eobard didn't safeguard Eddie a little better. He is your ancestor, he would have done better to get Eddie on his side to ensure that he wouldn't do exactly what he did and erase yourself in the process.
  23. I really enjoyed the episode. Kind of mad that the next episode isn't til June. I actually remember Eric and Topanga being exactly as they were tonight in college. It's still funny to see 10 years later. I'm really loving Zay's addition to the cast and I like that everyone is getting a chance to shine this season. For others viewers of izombie. Does anyone find Zay Babineaux's resemblance to Clive Babineaux weird? I heard that last name for the first time on izombie and it was strange to hear it used on a completely different show.
  24. I think it's different when it's someone you know/loved. She kind of knew Jerome but it's not the same level of knowing that Major had. And I imagine his reaction to knowing what happened to Jerome would be on a different level than Liv's. It's kind of like watching the news. You feel bad when something terrible happens to someone but you really feel it if had happened to someone you actually were close with. Ymmv. Despite everything she knew about Blaine, Liv was still surprised by what he did to Lowell. Seeing him in action I don't think she would hesitate to take the shot a second time.
