  1. I'm so glad Belle took herself out. God are she and Rumple annoying to watch. I too didn't understand why she thought a sleeping curse would prevent Hades from taking her baby. That hadn't been tested or proven to be fact. Why not try and go back to Storybrook where he can't actually do much? Am I the only one who was confused as to why Hook carved Charming's name on the headstone? Why didn't he carve Zelena's name or Belle's name or anyone else's name? Just seemed like a huge plot hole to me. And why didn't Snow offer to take Henry with her? Ruby's five minute romance was disappointing because damn was Dorothy abrasive bit it ultimately matters not since Ruby's not going to be around anyway, right? I think Mulan would have been the better choice but I definitely don't hope her consolation prize is Aurora. Aurora's a happily married wife and mother it wouldn't make any sense for her to be with Mulan at this point. I'm actually hoping that Mulan is bi so that she can be with Shang. He's definitely one of the best of the disney "princes."
  2. I wish I had your optimism c76. I really wish I did. If this hadn't already happened after season two, I probably would. But this is exactly what happened after the ratings tanked in season two after Goffman tried to make the show Katrina Hollow. The network "stepped in" gave us Tempus Fugit and tried to start fresh by going to back to what made the show work. I thought that meant Abbie and Ichabod but judging from this season and that finale, they didn't. This situation wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't strung us along with promises of more screen time for NB and Ichabbie but they lied to us for months. Apparently Nicole has wanted to leave since the end of season 2 and who can blame her? I don't think she's coming back no matter what they do and from the blase way they talk about her "bold" exit from the series they wouldn't ask. There's also no way that Fox wasn't aware of what was going to happen so obviously they're ok with how it played out as well. I'm just glad it's blowing up in their faces. I bet that if recentering the show around Ichabod and Katrina had actually worked, the network wouldn't have stepped in and done anything.
  3. Can I sit at your table Enigma X? I like Lincoln too. I don't understand why his character gets so much dislike. I also love Major on izombie and I like him and Liv together. And I don't care about Lowell or her latest boyfriend Drake and I don't care that they were killed off. People still cry about Lowell and it's been almost two years. Let it go.
  4. I am caught up. I don't think I ever really liked it tbh. It's a genre that I love but watching the season two premiere I realized that I don't care about any of the characters. And I really dislike Claire. Which is probably bad since she's the protagonist.
  5. Whether Tom/Ichabod is interesting enough or whether the show is good enough really has nothing to do with whether I would watch another season tbh. It's about how I as a viewer was treated by the showrunners and the writers and the network. Also about how they treat someone who's supposed to be a part of their team. This whole situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth and there just isn't enough Tom Mison to go around to make that go away. With Charmed they actually created a totally new sister but from how they explained it they want Abbie but in a more acceptable vessel. Which is troubling to say the least.
  6. Looking back, I hate that they made Abbie act like a death seeker every time it looks like they might lose a battle. It was getting to Dean Winchester levels of sacrifice. I guess they have been telling us over and over that Abbie thinks Crane's life is more important than her own. I wish they had the gravitas to kill her off in the midseason finale like they say they wanted so I could have quit the show earlier. The fact that they wanted to bait shippers all season long to get more viewers is the worst part.
  7. I'm happy that there has been no backlash against TM. I also don't think anyone blames him. I feel like maybe he wants to say something but can't because at the end of the day he's still working for fox. I wish that the world did work like what Leeleepanda would like it to but the time for that was before season three even started. It's too late for that now. For NB and for true fans of the original show.
  8. Either Julia is too traumatized by her assault to think clearly or she's clear headed enough to come up with an elaborate plan in a very short period of time. Whether you believe she was acting selfishly or not depends on how well you like the character honestly. Based on past character actions, I think she acted selfishly. That's my opinion, ymmv. We don't know if people are dead or not but neither does Julia. Why didn't she share her plan with the rest of the group? She compromised the plan by acting on her own. Did Umber say that Quentin had usually killed Julia by that point in the time loop?
  9. I do understand that she is going through something horrible. Mentally and probably physically as well but going after Reynard is of little consequence imo. If he's a god presumably he's been around for a long time. He's not going anywhere. I seriously doubt that Martin can bring her friends back to life or that was something she actually wanted to happen. She just wanted to get revenge on the god that violated her. Completely understandable in any other situation but she seriously screwed everyone else in the meantime. Her friends, the people of fillory, etc. I just find her lack of empathy for them troubling. Like I said this isn't her first offence and her habit of doing things only to her benefit is selfish. It will continue to be selfish until she starts thinking of someone other than herself and the consequences of her actions.
  10. I honestly would be more sympathetic to Julia if this was the first time she acted in her own interest after a trauma. She way more than Quentin is the one I worry about. She acted very similarly when she didn't get into Brakebills and Quentin wouldn't help her. What happened to her was horrible but I would wager killing the beast is far more important than her getting revenge on that god. I just hate that she just left them all there to suffer when she could have done something about it.
  11. He deserves a better network. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if the show had been on a network like the cw. They seem to embrace the quirky and the unusual. They also don't seem to be afraid of interracial relationships.
  12. The episode was awesome til the end. Julia didn't learn anything, selfish til the very end. She could have at least have asked for the beast to fix everyone before running off. Turns out that Julia being there didn't help at all. She got a really raw deal, man that rape scene was horrifying, but she was stupid. If it's too good to be true it usually is. I hope Kady is ok. Love the reveal that Martin was the beast. That made sense for his character. The traveler Penny saved didn't do much unfortunately. I really enjoyed the episode barring the conclusion. I loved the book format that was employed by Quentin throughout.
  13. I think I'm ready to cancel Outlander. I think I really wanted to like it but I find myself fast forwarding a lot. I also hate that Grey's has an unrealistic amount of disasters and death for the cast on a show about doctors.
  14. I guess that's where we differ which is the beauty of differing opinions. I like to know exactly what I'm watching. It's rare for me to start watching a show without knowing the history of it. We can agree to disagree of the popularity or lack thereof of a crane centered show. If the backlash wasn't what it currently is it might have worked but it's hard for me to see it take off considering current events and the so very public history of how badly handled this show has been since season two.
  15. My problem with the Angel comparison is that it was a spinoff. Everyone knew that he was leaving Buffy, the show broke them up and had him distance himself. Also different because Angel was not the co-lead on Buffy. Killing off Abbie and having just Ichabod be the star of the show isn't remotely the same thing. My uo is I actually don't think that Ichabod is interesting enough to have a show just about him. Neither is Abbie for that matter.
  16. I guess my unpopular opinion would be that I hope it does get renewed and no one watches it/ it's even worse than before. I absolutely won't be watching but to hear that it's tanking will make me happy. I'm vindictive like that.
  17. I just can't with Belle, she's so stupid. She makes no sense. Does she understand that Rumple is evil or not? She acts like he turned into this dark person one day and she was totally blindsided when in fact he was the dark one at the beginning, middle, and end of your relationship. Either accept it or move on. That being said I hate how Rumple tries to justify being evil by saying you have to do evil things to protect the people you love. What? If that was the case everyone would be a dark one, idiot. You choosing to do the wrong thing every time is not what that means. I too am happy that those two are being screwed by hades at every turn. Why would they think he would uphold the deal when Belle rejected it? Rumple the king of deals should have known better than that. This was the worst episode for me. I have zero interest in Rumbelle or their backstories. A whole episode about them is like watching paint dry.
  18. What's funny is I was so excited about the finale. Episode started off amazing. About the time Abbie had her soul kind of sucked out I went to Google to check NB's height because she looked so tiny in Tom's arms. And I was totally blindsided by the news of Abbie's death and I didn't even watch the rest of the episode I was so angry. I was livid and it takes a lot to make me angry. I couldn't believe what they had done. I still can't believe it. Like you two, I've forced myself to accept it but I feel like someone I knew was killed on Friday. Abbie was run over by drunk driver Clifton Campbell in a hit and run and he's getting away with it because Nicole was tired of being treated like a stepchild on her own show.
  19. I drop shows so much faster than I used to. I just don't have the patience to foce myself to watch something I'm never going to like. Sleepy Hollow is definitively cancelled after last night. I also dropped Blindspot, Quantico, and The 100 after one or two episodes. I agree that Grey's is a hard one to quit. I think it's because it used to be amazing and I keep thinking it might surprise me. It never does. I did quit cold turkey for a season or two after Shonda threw George under a bus though.
  20. Ikr? I'm still trying to see the show from the show runners pov. The show got moved to show dumping ground Friday, it gets very little promotion from Fox, and an average of about two and a half million weekly viewers. These viewers only stuck around after the shit fest that was season two because Fox promised viewers more time spent on Abbie and on the partnership of Abbie and Ichabod. And yet you still thought that you could kill half the partnership and stay golden? You sound braindead everytime you try to justify what you did. So please just stop beating a dead horse. I too took that project fox survey and put every stupid storyline they did this season on blast. If only they had asked for viewers opinions before last night.
  21. Is it? I've seen nothing to support it. If anything NB has been very quiet about any drama on set. She even did the pr thing to the very end despite some of the shittier things I've heard about how she was treated by showrunners. Even if it is her. Does it really change anything? The show has been crap for a while now. It can't all be laid at Nicole's feet if it can at all.
  22. I think I'm ok now. I'm so glad that my anger burns bright and quick. I'm going to miss the show. I'm going to miss all the characters and I'm going to miss the actors. I'm going to miss this board. More than anything I'm going to miss the magical chemistry between Tom and Nicole. It's going to be sad not to see it every week. I think what some people don't understand is if Ichabod had died tonight that the level of rage and upset would have been equal to this. They're a package deal. The show only works because of their partnership. Its amazing to me how repeated poor decision making can derail such a promising show. All the ingredients were there for success and it ultimately amounted to nothing. I'm hoping that the show is cancelled so that the actors can move on to hopefully better things.
  23. I'm still angry. This has fucked my whole mood up. Now I really understand how fans of HIMYM felt. The rage and sense of betrayal is so real. I just don't understand the thought process behind this decision. Nobody was watching the show as it is with the magic of TM and NB. You kill off NB's character in a thoughtless, gutter way and you think that's what? Going to attract more viewers? Presumably you knew she wanted to leave the show so do the right thing and end it on a high note. Honor the Ichabbie relationship building that you have been using to chain viewers to this dying show and throw us a bone. That would have made all the difference in whether I would keep watching or not. I still wouldn't have because the show is about the partnership of Abbie and Ichabod which only worked because of Nicole and Tom. It's not something that can be recreated nor should it be. I'm still angry at the "fans" who are coming out of the woodwork now that Abbie is dead to claim they will be around for season four. Where have you been the last two seasons? And the pathos/glibness of the show runners who act like Abbie was some guest actress on the show. She was half the reason you got your measly three million viewers a week. Show some respect to Nicole and to the intelligence of your audience.
  24. Are the show runners out their damn minds?! Who they think going to watch this show without Abbie Mills? You were hanging by a thread only because of Ichabbie which you just sunk without any fanfare at all. Abbie died twenty minutes into the episode without getting to say goodbye to Ichabod or Jenny. Are you f*cking serious show? I don't think I've ever been so angry at a tv show in my life. There were actual tears of anger in my eyes watching this episode. I can't believe this bs. I just can't. I'm at a loss for words.
  25. You know, I don't think we've seen anything from Barry or Iris to indicate what their feelings for each other are. Unfortunately if I came into the show from the second season, I would have no idea that Barry has been in love with Iris for years or that Iris has some romantic feelings for Barry. There's just been so much unnecessay misdirection with Batty and now with Iris' boss. I'm hoping they will refocus on their relationship, hopefully before the end of the season.
