I think that they hinted at them getting together in season 1 and it became really obvious in season 2 when the show shifted focus from Olivia to Peter and Walter. I was never a Peter/Olivia fan but I did like Peter with Redverse Olivia in season 3. That must make me an odd duck since Anna Torv played both characters. I always liked Olivia with Charlie and the guy that was in season 1 who she believed to be a traitor that had a part of his consciousness imbedded in hers.

I was talking about her plans for Leo at the end of season 1 and Constance acquiesced to Holly's request to bring him back in season 2 when that was not her plan just like she was fine with Prue taking up martial arts because Shannen wanted that when she wanted Phoebe to be the one to use it to fight evil.. My whole point was that plans change and Constance was willing to go with the flow until Brad Kern wanted Phoebe to betray her sisters for Cole and she walked away from the show when Aaron Spelling sided with him. Even in season 3 as a consultant on the show she pleaded with Brad to not go down that road with Phoebe and he ignored her since she no longer had any power and the rest is history. We will have to agree to disagree because the show became all about the men when Brad Kern took over in season 3. It was all about Cole in season 3 4 and parts of 5. Then Melinda became a boy when she became Wyatt in season 5 Leo also started getting more focus and season 6 was about baby Wyatt, Chris from the future. Season 7 was all about Leo and his issues..

Had Constance remained on the show Paige would have never existed.. Constance created the show based on herself and her two oldest sisters. The irony is that the love affair that she wrote between Paige's parents gave Brad Kern the path to create Paige and fire Shannen killing off Prue.

I was talking about season 1. Love hurts was supposed to be Leo's last episode. Leo was not part of Constance's plans for season 2. She also wanted Andy to continue but the actor had told the show that he had no plans to return for season 2. So Andy died in the season finale.. I always felt that Andy grounded Prue and I would have loved to have seen their relationship evolve throughout the series.. Constance was not against the ladies having boyfriends but she was against any man overshadowing the sisters' relationships with each other. We saw what happened to Phoebe after Cole.. Look at how she wrote Prue with Andy in relation to her sisters, she never once betrayed them for him. Whereas Phoebe betrayed both incarnations of the power of 3 for Cole.. Not to mention how she treated Paige so horribly for that demon.

I loved Olivia and the rumor has it that the men running the show felt that the fans would not want a woman to be the lead of a scifi series and that it was better to have the men be the focus in season 2. Season 1 is my favorite simply because of Olivia.. season 3 is my favorite because we got both Olivia's and Anna showed us how awesome she was as an actress. I wished that the show had incorporated more of Olivia's abilities throughout the series. It seemed like the writers forgot all about it. I hated season 5 and it was such a jarring shift from season 4. I hated the dystopian feel to it.. The show could have continued beyond season 5 if they had continued with the themes of the earlier seasons. I wished that the show had explored Peter's relationship with Walternate more. I absolutely loved Peter meeting his mother on the other side and them bonding over bacon. I also wanted an episode where Walter's Peter did not die and lived in another universe who was able to come and interact with our Peter and Walter. The show did say there were multiuniverses with infinite possibilities so it would have been a cool episode.

It will always be a sore spot because Shannen and Prue should have been a part of the show till the bitter end. The same goes for Constance Burge. What politics and what did she mean by that? Was there any tension between Holly and Shannen? given how they had a falling out and stopped speaking to each other..

I never liked them together either after season 2. Constance did not intend to bring Leo back in season 2. Holly asked her to bring him back and pair him with Piper and she agreed. I always felt that Piper was in love with the idea of being in love. Remember when she and Phoebe cast that spell to attract men and it backfired on them. I always felt that Piper would have been better with a mortal man who accepted her as she was. I think it would have helped Piper accept that her life was indeed normal with her sisters. Piper became bitter af after Prue died and her resentment about being charmed affected her relationship with Leo because she was always around magic and never felt grounded hence her wistfulness for a "nomal" life.

Yes and that is so true. Can I also add the marvel movies. it is continuing drama on the big screen. It is a a shame that soaps have never gotten any respect in Hollywood.

I feel the same way and it saddens me because Days is the only soap for me. The others are too awful for me to care enough to watch..

Hope had to put up with that insipid Billie because of bad writing. We all know that Bo in character would have never rejected Hope point blank period. It would have made sense for an amnesiac Hope to reject Bo pushing him into Billie's arms. I also would have preferred Hope to have been in Italy during her missing years and had fallen in love with the man who rescued her as an amnesiac. I thought that Hope was much better before she died in 1991. She had the benefit of strong writing by Sherry Anderson who wrote the entire Bo and Hope love story cementing them as a supercouple. Back in the day, the writers never relied too much on an interloper to make a couple interesting. If there was an interloper, they were never really a threat to the established couple. For example: Anna was never a real threat to Roman and Marlena, she was just annoying. Once she realized that she could not get between them she moved on.. Anna's primary motivation was always about money and she fell in love with Tony along the way..

To be fair, the show has been mediocre and uninspiring for years. Not to mention better soaps were cancelled that were better than Days in it's current state. So it is not really a stretch to have doubts that the show will continue..

Original recipe Shelle was awesome and their chemistry did overcome the terrible writing. I just wished that the show had not tried to make them a supercouple even with the original actors when they never were.. The supercouples were a moment in time and that era could never be duplicated in my opinion..

I think that Allie should have been more like her aunt Carrie and it would have been a perfect contrast to her mother Sami. Perhaps Allie could have been the reason for Sami and Carrie to become true sisters. Allie should have been the good girl to Ciara's bad girl. I loved their rivalry as kids and the show should have built on that foundation. Allie and Johnny should have been super close. Sydney should have been the bad girl not because she was traumatized like Sami but simply because she was a spoiled entitled brat who thought the world should bow down to her. I could see both Sami and EJ giving in to her every whim and that becoming a problem as she became a young lady. I also got tired of Sami's children all having some type of resentment when it comes to her. The show can't ever have Sami grow up a bit. Her relationship with Will was always complicated because she had him while she was troubled selfish teen who was alienated from her family. I would have loved to have seen Sami learn from her mistakes with Will and become an awesome mother to Allie Johnny and Sydney. The show is stuck with Sami's characterization from the JER years..

Same here. I hated Spinelli even more because he was so deeply connected to Jason who was part of the trio consisting of Sonny and Carly that destroyed General Hospital in my opinion.

Ron did the same thing with Anjelica and Diana. I never believed that Anjelica would still be in love with Justin after all of these years. Her bone of contention with Adrienne should have been over Alex preferring Adrienne over her. Ron's character assassination of Diana was vile. Diana would still care about John but she would not be obsessed with him and try to hurt Marlena over him. Ron does not know how to write women who don't center men as the reason for their existence in life.

I doubt very much that Chris understands the challenges of what Black women go through when it comes to Black hair. He perpetuates the stigma that has been ingrained into Black people via centuries of colonization by mocking a Black woman's hair. Like I said in my previous post, Chris likes to mock Black women and everything associated with Black women. That has always been my issue with him. He is a Black man who despises Black women and his disdain for Jada is proof of that. Not to mention, Chris is a Black man who had no problems with white men calling him the N word in a comedy set until Jerry Seinfeld told him that he was uncomfortable with that. It takes a White man to tell you that other White men cannot call you the N word. Are you kidding me!

I don't understand why Jada is being blamed for Will's actions. He made that choice to go up there and act a fool. Not her.. Chris talked about her sex life and called her names. Had Chris focused on dragging Will solely, I would not have cared but I do have a problem with a Black man going after a Black woman in such a disgusting manner. He showed more disdain for Jada than Will who actually slapped him.. Chris Rock has always been problematic when it comes to Black women but nobody cares but I am supposed to feel bad for him because he got slapped for making fun of a Black woman's hair. He is just trash in my opinion...

Bo and Hope was a much better couple while the waltzing was similar between the two couples but that was all that they had in common .. I have never cared for Luke and Laura and it had to do with him raping her.. The whitewashing of it was just vile.. I know that it was another time when it came to the understanding of sexual assault but rape is rape no matter where we are in time.. Laura just sizzled with Stefan and I wanted them to have an affair while he was married to Bobbie. I also thought that Laura was a much more dynamic strong woman whenever she was with Stefan. Luke always dominated her and infantilized her. So it was always gross to me given their disgusting past..

Sydney and Nicole bonding would have made Sami go over the edge and rightly so especially if Sami and Sydney were not getting along because Sami was desperately trying to keep Sydney from making the same mistakes that Sami made when she was her age.. It would have also been good to see Marlena and John trying to get Sydney and Sami to mend fences.. Those are the type of stories that would have cemented John and Marlena as the patriarch and matriarch of their large brood consisting of children grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don't forget Sydney the forgotten Sami child. Since Ron wanted to bring back EJ and Sami on the show. It would have made much more sense to have Sydney their daughter come back as a bad girl.. I would have been fine with Allie being offscreen.. Don't get me started on the history between Sami/Sydney/Nicole/EJ... Ron could have mined so much story from that..

I wish that somebody would have an in depth interview with Constance and ask her about her plans for the original power of 3.. That would have been awesome and it would have been even better to see past Warren witches throughout the series. I always wanted Phoebe to meet a past powerful Warren witch who only had the power of premonition.

Once Constance left the show, the Warren line and all of the stories that could have come from them cease to exist. The show's focus was about Wyatt and his future as the most powerful being that ever existed.. It was established that none of the sisters descendants would ever come close to eclipsing them as the most powerful witches that the world has ever known..

Thank you for saying this. This board won't get what you are saying because the default is always White in entertainment and on the screen so it is normal for them. However when your skin is naturally darkened by the sun with a horrific past like ours that still burdens us till this day, you want to see people who look like you on the screen as well. That is why the Cosby Show was so popular in the Black community in the 80's. This is why representation is so important because when you can see it you can achieve it..
