  1. I go through phases with my reading. My last phase was survival stories, I read about the man who was stranded at sea in a small raft for 78 days and other books like that. I'm now in a true crime phase. I just finished one about the night stalker and am now reading about the Leonard Lake/Charles Ng murders. Our world has too many scary evil monsters in it. After reading the true crime books I realized that I prefer the murders I read about to be the fictional kind.
  2. I don't understand why none of these people ever make something to protect their feet. I haven't seen every episode but I only remember one couple who even attempted to make shoes. The first thing I would do is gather materials and try to make some kind of foot wear.
  3. The felon coming home didn't affect me in the slightest. The funny thing is that when she walked in and was making all of the crying noises and faces, I never saw a tear. Also when the felon was hugging the other felon, she didn't say she missed him or the girls, she said "I missed my house". I hate the thieving felons and it kills me to see how many fans she still has here. She doesn't deserve it. She's still acting like she did nothing wrong.
  4. It's sad to think that the big beautiful house Sterling is moving into will soon look like Pinterest got drunk and threw up all over it.
  5. Aw @TattleTeeny, they're beautiful. My old orange cat Punkin loved sleeping on top of the refrigerator. My daughter found Pepper's family. When they called my daughter told them that she needed to see proof that she was really their dog. It had been 8 days since my daughter found her, she had no collar or tags or anything so she needed proof. They brought pictures and her immunization records. My grandkids are heartbroken but they understand that they couldn't keep somebody else's dog. I'm happy she found her family. The only reason I was thinking of keeping her was so she could stay in the kids lives because they fell in love with her. Like I said, I'm looking for an older dog who had a rough start in life and just wants to hang out and be loved on. I don't have it in me to have another puppy. I did the puppy thing once and loved it, I had him for 13 years but from now on it will be strictly older rescues.
  6. @ZaldamoWilder "steppin and fetchin?". What does that mean? I feel stupid always asking you these questions but I see things in your posts that I've never heard of before. Steppin and fetchin is a new one to me. I had to stop watching Wendy, she just pisses me off so much and I found myself yelling at the TV every time she was on. For the sake of my blood pressure, I had to stop.
  7. Every time I see the therapist I see that chick from Vanderpump Rules. I don't watch that show on a regular basis so I'm not sure, but I think her name is Katie maybe. I think the therapist looks a lot like her.
  8. Unfortunately I know from personal experience that it is very true. The abuser needs to pull you in and make you trust them, all while slowly alienating you from friends and family. Once they get you to love and trust them the abuse starts. Then after the abuse, the sweet guy who's so so sorry that you made him but you comes back for the honeymoon period. They always start out so loving and charming.
  9. Ruby deserved to be blindsided. She basically told him that he wasn't good enough the way he is but she could make him "better" and more worthy of her. I'd have blindsided her ass too.
  10. I'm glad Riley made it through. Some of the noises around here got pretty loud, my cat Trixie wouldnt get off my lap. She actually never gets off my lap but she was more clingy tonight. I'm trying to share my favorite picture of my crazy cat but again it's saying it's too big. I cropped it just like the other one. Oh well, I'll figure it out. Isn't she cute @Bastet? The kids love her and she them but she keeps trying to herd them. I've had herding dogs so I know how to work with them but she's a bit young still. I wouldn't even think about keeping her if I didn't have the outside space I have. I am in no shape these days to exercise a dog like these breeds need to be exercised, but I have space she can run. I'm still not sure though. I really would prefer an older couch potato kind of dog who has had a tough life, needs lots of love and just wants to hang out. This is a puppy. A breed of puppy who needs a lot of exercise and stimulation and socialization. Sigh. Ideally we would like to find her family but the more time that passes the more I'm thinking nobody is looking for her. We've posted flyers at area vets, shelters, online and anything else we can think of but nobody has come forward.
  11. I did it!!!!! Thank you @auntlada! I had to crop the picture to get it to work but I wanted to crop the kids out anyway. This is Pepper. This is when they brought her to my house and I gave her a bath and clipped her nails. She's so soft. I think I'm going to keep her. I agree with you @stillshimpy, it's fate. I told them if I keep her I'm changing her name to Destiny. Of course if her family comes forward we would give her back but so far there's been nothing. We don't know what more we can do to find them.
  12. I've been trying to add a picture for an hour but it keeps saying it's the wrong size. The picture is of the dog that showed up at my daughter's house the other day. I mentioned above that my daughter had two different dogs show up at her house in just a few days time. They were both Australian cattle dogs. They found the family of the first dog. They've have the second dog for about a week now. They've taken her to their vet to see if she had a microchip and she doesn't. They've hung flyers all over the neighborhood and in the stores in the area. They've posted to all of the proper websites and called the local shelters. Nobody has come forward for her. The vet estimates that she's around a year old and she's a great, great dog, they brought her over a few times and she's such a cuddly little sweetheart. My daughter and her family already have Rufus and 2 cats. She also tries to herd the kids. They just can't keep her right now but refuse to take her to the shelter. I told them to try the breed rescue for our area and see what they say. But...I'm thinking about keeping her instead. My brother had a dog like her named Skeeter and I loved him so much. I'm very seriously thinking about keeping her. I'm going to keep trying to post these pictures of her. @bosawks that is the cutest picture I've seen in a long time. Thank you for posting it, I was in a bad mood and she cheered me up right away! I'd like to ask your permission to save the picture to my phone if that's OK. I'm going to use her as my antidepressants. That smile and those ears could cheer me up on the worst days. She looks so happy. @stillshimpy, I'm very late in this but Oscar is gorgeous. The pictures were all so beautiful that I had a hard time choosing favorites.
  13. Pauly gas always seemed like a nice guy to me to until the scene in the bar where he kept screaming about that guy's shoes. Maybe he was told to make fun of the guy but I thought it was terrible. He berated the guy from the minute he walked up to them. I've always liked him so it just kind of disappointed me. @guilfoyleatpp, I agree. If Aubrey is really 32 then she's the same age as my daughter, my daughter looks like a teenager compared to Aubrey. That's what happens when these attractive women start messing with their faces when they're in their early 20s. They all end up aging so much worse than if they'd just left their faces alone.
  14. I don't like talking shit about a person's appearance, especially a young child but modeling?! Really?!?! No way in hell could this kid ever be a model. Even if she was a beautiful child, nobody would want to put up with her spoiled, bratty demon attitude. And even if Sophia was a beautiful children with a sweet, sparkling personality, nobody would want to put up with her evil bitch mother.
  15. @ABay, they're beautiful! They look like velvet. I love black cats. They're so sleek. I've had two black cats, Snowball and Panther. I had a spotted tabby named Cheetah when I had Panther. I love all of the pictures so don't ask me! Happy Anniversary!!!
  16. Big Bang Theory for me. I HATE that show so much. I can't stand the lead actor and I just hate every thing about the show. Raymond was hard for me to watch because of Marie, she was so horrible and I kept waiting for her to get her come uppance but she never did. I can not think of one good trait that character had. If she was my mother in law, after I went off and told her what an absolute bitch she was, I'd take her beloved son and her grandkids and move as away as humanly possible. Never to be heard from again.
  17. If Robyn and Paula can manage to keep their kids alive, there may be hope for Jonna and Jasmine's babies.
  18. @Bastet, I was just coming here to ask if you had the test results yet. Yay on a healthy Riley!!! I can't tell you how happy I am for you and for Riley. She certainly seems to be coming out of her shell in a big way. She knows that she's safe and secure with her mama. In weird pet news, in the past 5 days my daughter has had 2 Australian cattle dogs show up at her door. The first one ran into her garage when she was in there with the door open. No tags or microchip but she posted on the local pet finders and Craig's list and found the owners. Today she went to the mailbox and there the dog was again. She brought her into the garage and went to call the owners when she noticed that this one isn't the same dog, it's a male. She once again posted to the lost dog sites and now she's waiting. They've been in their house for 7 years and have never found a dog, now they have two almost twin dogs show up in less than a week. They fell in love with the first one and would have kept her if they couldn't find the owners but she said she doesn't get a good vibe from this one so she's keeping him in the office away from my grandson. My granddaughter is here or she would be wanting to go in and see the dog. It's just so weird.
  19. Aw, she sounds like such a sweet girl, I love hearing that she's playing and coming out of her shell. I can tell that you're already in love! Sending good, positive thoughts that all tests come back normal. We have never been able to figure out why Rufus was so scared at my house, he came face to face with a big deer through the big window in the living room one day and went flying out of the room but he had been acting scared before that. I doubt we'll ever know.
  20. Thank you @raven @Bastet, how is Miss Riley doing? I've been thinking a lot about you two. I'm so happy you found her. Edit:. I don't know if you all remember Rufus and Murphy, the two mini schnauzers that my husband found in a hot car in Arizona. He ended up bringing them home and we adopted them. I think I mentioned that poor Rufus, who we call "Baby Ruf" was always a big, scared ball of nerves. He was terrified of everything, very sweet but really timid. He doesn't like being on the road so he stayed with my daughter and her family when we went on our trip. When he was at my daughter's house and with the kids he was a different dog. They sent videos of him running around and playing with the kids and I couldn't believe it was the same dog. Fast forward, we bring him home and he goes back into hiding and acts scared again. I took him to my daughter's house again, again, different dog at her house. My daughter ended up keeping him at her house and he's their dog now. I never told anyone here about giving him to my daughter because I didn't want you guys to think I was a bad person for giving him to them. I did it for him and the kids but I still feel bad. He's been there a few months now and he's the happiest I've ever seen him. I don't know what it is but he's so happy over there and that's what matters to me. I still get visitation though! But now I'm dogless. Murphy is a complete and total road dog. He's always on the road with his daddy. A lot of the truck stop people know him by name now and he's so so happy going in the truck. When they go on the road, like now, I have no dog at home, I've never not had a dog at home. I'm looking at some rescues but I'm not sure yet. I don't like my house without dog fur everywhere. I'm just babbling here, mind of thinking out loud I guess. Do you guys think it's too soon for me to start looking at rescues already?
  21. I thought it was Tracy but I had to search to make sure. I hadn't seen her in anything since Seinfeld. Seeing her made me go to YouTube and watch old Square Pegs episodes.
  22. I'm so sorry if that's a spoiler. I don't follow either of them outside this forum but I've seen them all over TV and the internet together. I'm sorry.
  23. I've seen Aubrey in other shows but don't remember her being this bad. Does she think she's there to be one of the dating coaches? Aubrey lists her age as 32 which is the same age as my daughter, no way in hell are they the same age. I would add at least ten years to her age. If she really is 32 then she's a rough 32. Are she and Pauly still dating?
  24. Not in stores here but I think in bars or clubs the server must be over 21. The only alcohol restriction we have here is that no alcohol is sold between 2 and 7 am.
  25. We have a drive through liquor store in my city, they are a convience type store but it mosly sells cigarettes and alcohol. We also sell beer, wine and liquor in grocery stores. I don't understand why some grocery stores in some states don't sell it. Do they think if people can't find vodka in the grocery store then they just won't buy it? What's the reasoning for it? I don't touch alcohol so it doesn't bother me I'm just curious. And again, I will never ever understand why alcohol is legal and marijuana isn't. Alcohol is so much worse in every single way than marijuana.
