Exactly. “Different” is the new thing. Their peers won’t even think twice about it. I’ve taught for many years...Draper and “Scottie” are tame compared to some names I’ve had. 🤷‍♀️ I wouldn’t have chosen them, but I don’t think they are the worse ever or setting her kids up for a lifetime of ridicule.

While I admit they are not names I would have chosen, I think she said they were family names. I’m a sucker for sentimental, so I can appreciate them for that reason. Besides, I have seen much, much worse!

Wasn’t Victoria trying for So You Think You Can Dance, not World of Dance? I agree, she’s not good enough, but I don’t think the 3 girls were doing the same thing.

I hate admitting this, but my table is currently pushed to the wall...for 1 reason. I have a toddler that runs through and is accident prone. The table has sharp corners. I push it as far back as I can to give her more room and to save her head/eyes from the corners. Make no mistake though, when we have guests, the table is pulled back to the center of the room, under the light like it is supposed to be. 🤷‍♀️

I was born and raised in a Baptist church and I have never heard the “pagan” reasoning for not calling it Easter! That’s definitely new to me! People I know do sometimes refer to Easter as Ressurection Day, because it is the day (observed, anyway) that Jesus resurrected from the dead. But everyone I know still refers to, and celebrates “Easter” as well. In fact, after church yesterday, my church had an egg hunt, AND the Easter Bunny there for the kids. And the Easter Bunny came to my house and left a bunch of eggs and huge Easter baskets for my kids. I know there are some people who don’t do Santa and Easter Bunny for their own personal reasons (that I obviously don’t agree with), but I have never understood why you can’t have the true meaning of these holidays while still keeping some holidY magic for the kids. They can co-exist. I grew up with Bible preaching all the time, went to a Christian school...I KNEW the real meaning of the holidays. And yet, Santa still came every year. I was never confused by this. I’m raising my kids the same way. We absolutely talk about the “why” of the holidays, but we have fun with them as well.

I hate defending this, but Tori is from rural Tennessee. Southerns cook different. We throw the beans in a sauce pan with a hunk of fat back or streak of lean and cook them down. I had been married for several years before I ever had a sautéed green bean...and I hated them. Haha i may have misunderstood Tori regarding the dinner (I was definitely multitasking while watching and don’t really care to watch it again), but I thought Tori said it was Erin’s recipe, not that Erin made it.

Exactly. It’s called a chemical pregnancy and it’s very real and happens very frequently. Most of the time, it happens and women didn’t even know they were pregnant. I don’t think they are lying. For anyone who has been desperately trying to conceive, she would know roughly how long her cycles usually are. She may not know at 19 how her body works, when she ovulates, and how long after to start testing, but I can guarantee she was testing around 10 days before her period was due because she just couldn’t help herself and couldn’t wait. I’ve been part of TTC groups for years. These women are more informative than my doctors - they know their stuff. And even they just can’t resist the urge. Haha. I’m sure Lauren was just 4 weeks along when she got her positive. And I’d guess, lost it shortly after, between 5-6 weeks, with just a heavier than normal period. I’ve had 2 chemicals that I’m aware of. If I wasn’t tracking my cycles so closely, I doubt I would even have known I had them. No matter what, I wish them the best. I hope they have a happy, healthy pregnancy...when they are ready for one.

The every other month thing is inaccurate. Either ovary can release an egg any month. So there’s no way to know (other than checking on ultrasound each month) which side is realeasing the egg, and if it will be the side with the good tube or the bad. I, too, have a blocked tube. We’ve been trying for 2 1/2 years. Tracking ovulation, timed intercourse, medication to stimulate ovaries, we’ve even done IUIs and actually placed the sperm in my uterus (not to be confused with IVF, which is completely different) and...no luck. You definitely CAN get pregnant with just 1 tube, but it’s not always easy. And I’d venture to guess even some of the things my husband and I have done are things Michael and Brandon would view as going against God’s plans. * not directed at you, bitterapple!

You’ve got the huge ad (sometimes it’s 2 of those huge ads), then the topic listing/next unread topic. Even taking this screenshot, I scrolled right past the previous/next page links and had to scroll back and find them. They are so hard to see.

How do I check that? Everything else on the page looks fine.

The Prev and Next page links are so small now, I can barely find them. PLEASE make these larger. I miss them every time and have to scroll past them a few times (always end up scrolling down to the next/previous TOPIC). The prev/next pages are usually hidden in between ads (🙄 don’t even get me started on that), followed by a SMALL reply box, then the prev/next topics, the MORE ads. This was never an issue before. I only visit the forum on a mobile device, so unsure if this is an issue on a desktop. But it’s making PTV a site that I’m visiting less and less these days.

How could I forget. 🙊 Having such a hard time with this new forum software. Quoting a post, then have to scroll to the bottom of the page to type a reply. Hope they get the kinks worked out.
