  1. Three’s Company actually wrote that to make sense. Chrissy knew Jack and Janet would struggle to make rent without a third person and her cousin needed a place to stay while going to vet school so… enter Cindy.

  3. Mine does that. But it’s bitchin’ state of the art.
  4. That’s the thing though, it can happen the way tv depicts but in real life, it’s just not as common to use it that frequently. I only use video chat when I need to walk one of my parents through downloading a new app on their smart tvs.
  5. In that particular case, I’m sure Mac was able to explain to Quon Li that they might as well name their daughter Throw The Kickball At My Head Robinson if they named her Flicka.
  6. Right now, nothing sends me diving for the remote faster than the Nike commercial with Spike Lee and some woman (that I suspect I’m supposed to recognize but don’t) talking about sports over a chessboard. Not only is it annoying but it is SO ENDLESSLY LONG. Why is it so torturously long?
  7. Yeah, that’s the thing I find unlikely. That they’re video calling when a regular call would suffice. Does anybody video call someone just to remind them to pick up milk at the grocery store?
  8. Sorcha! I didn’t know they got Joanne Whalley to be in too.
  9. I’m guessing they’ll also be taking advantage of less censorship a la Evil and we’ll be getting f-bombs now?
  10. Yeah, you have be directly looking at the front facing camera for the face unlock to work. You can change this in the settings so that you don’t have to be looking at it, though. You can if you go into the settings once it’s unlocked and set it to never go off. I have my iPad set up that way. It’ll stay on until it dies unless I click it off manually.
  11. Discuss the casts’ other projects here! I love A Million Ways to Die in the West. I laughed so much at that movie. I really should watch it again.

  12. Yeah, this is the usual way I do library books. I use Libby too. But like I said, several years ago, the app used to auto check the books out that you had on hold and I missed it. About the book, I was kind of disappointed that we didn’t get told what happened to Amanda after she ditched Jason. I like to think she went to go live in the utopia universe they’d found.
  13. Yeah, I’m pretty sure after three years, all the options for the actors expired, hence Matt Barr being on a new show. So this is done.
  14. Passport.
  15. This commercial cracks me up. “The internet doesn’t have to be so creepy…” And it’s finally a correct usage for the song!

  17. Having never pursued a career in it, I have no idea about teaching credentials. But they’d have to have a bachelor’s degree, for sure. Presumably in phys ed?
  18. I think we’ve gone over this but in Texas, football is such a huge deal, the varsity coaches just coach football. They don’t teach. The other sports like soccer, basketball and even junior varsity football have the coaches doing double duty with coaching and teaching but not the varsity football coaches.
  19. You don’t need to know the episode. Just the main show and object. (I run the awards, so I know these things…)
  20. J-Lo also did Anaconda that same year, which was a schlocky horror action movie but it was fairly popular. I’m pretty sure the Selena movie wasn’t the only thing that got her career moving.
  21. Her last name wouldn’t be Stone, if that were true. I was thinking more that her middle name might be Mel. Oftentimes, fathers get overruled on names with the mom getting to play the “I carried it for nine months, dibs on the first name” card.

  23. I checked my elibrary and it said I checked this out two years ago. However, I couldn’t for the life of me remember a damn thing, so I checked it out again. I started reading and nothing was ringing a bell whatsoever. I remember reading Recursion but not Dark Matter. I looked further into my checkout and saw that it had been checked out for the full 14 days. I never do that. I’m guessing what happened is that it was one of my periods when I didn’t feel like reading and didn’t open the app and any book on hold that came up got auto-checked out. And then returned when I didn’t show up. My library app doesn’t do auto-checks anymore, you have to manually check out a hold when it comes up now. At any rate, Dark Matter was good, I like alternate universe stuff. There was a twist that I didn’t see coming, though I felt I should've seen it coming. I think I liked Recursion better, though.
