  1. By the end of the series, they all do.
  2. I rarely get dessert. I’m usually so stuffed when I go out to eat, I can’t possibly eat dessert.
  3. Except the entire time we knew them, Susan clearly would’ve rather not had Ross involved at all with Ben. No way no how would they ask him to be sperm donor for a second child.
  4. How come Joey couldn’t go across the hall to his own apartment to order pizza?
  5. Test failed
  6. Damn you Hallmark, for casting Amanda Schull in one of your movies, I might actually watch it (residual 12 Monkeys and Center Stage love).
  7. There’s the episode where Picard gets stuck in the turbo lift with the science fair winners.
  8. There was a Canadian procedural called Motive that went by that premise. It was similar to Cold Case in that the murder was told in flashback form, but what it would do is they’d have a graphic on screen at the beginning flashbacks that told you who was the killer and who was the victim and the flashbacks would progress until they finally connected.
  9. Richard Harmon. I’ve never seen him in a hallmark movie before but he’s been in many a Canadian production: most notably Continuum and The 100. He’s a very good actor and while unusual looking, I find him adorable.
  10. It was the scene where he walked into Castle’s bedroom when Beckett was in there, Pi was just wearing a towel. I was annoyed by the Pi storyline when it first aired but in the rewatch, it made total sense for Alexis to have that phase. She eventually came to her senses and realized that they had absolutely nothing in common and it was her first serious sexual relationship. Possibly her first sexual relationship at all, they never did a Lost Her Virginity plot, so we don’t really know.
  11. Pi looked pretty good without a shirt and Alexis was, what, 19? I give her a pass on that, she wasn’t thinking with her brain.
  12. Ditto. Jensen Ackles reminds of a Ken Doll. Bland, generic blonde guy who kind of looks like he’s made of plastic.
  13. In hindsight, I would’ve liked to see it, as the kids in question were played by Juliette Lewis, Seth Green and Mayim Bialik.
  14. I have cable and I get access to Peacock and HBO Max. I also have Prime but that’s pretty much for the shipping, the Video is just a perk. I otherwise have no other streamers. I used to have Netflix and Hulu but I just didn’t watch them much. And I hate having to switch around from streamer to streamer. I like cable, everything is all in one place.
  15. La Brea? It’s a ridiculous show with a ridiculous premise and the forum here is pretty dedicated to chainsawing it apart — rather amusingly.
  16. Season 1 of Damages is probably the most excellently written drama I’ve ever watched. Keeps you guessing all the way to the end. They really should’ve stopped there, the subsequent seasons never recaptured that magic. I did a rewatch last year but only watched season 1.
  17. I know, but they were also acting like a clock pen wouldn’t have been an acceptable gift, even if the book hadn’t been a factor.
  18. I was kind of slogging through the Beckett’s mom episodes at first in my rewatch but I ended up liking them once Bracken was finally revealed as the big bad perp behind the whole conspiracy. I liked the uneasy dance he and Beckett were doing in their little détente and my favorite culmination of it was when he hired goons to take her out and she decimated them. Which brings me over to the episode when they finally finished off the 3XK arc and Kelly Nieman had captured Beckett and I was like, “Oh Kelly, you’re toast. Captured Cornered Beckett is a very dangerous Beckett, she’s gonna kill your ass.” Sure enough, when they bust in to rescue her, Beckett is standing over Nieman’s body in a pool of blood, holding a dripping scalpel.
  19. Well, Joey and Kathy met in acting class, so it’s anybody’s guess how long they knew each other before they started dating. I think knowing each other for a time platonically first can accelerate moving into a sexual relationship because the “getting to know you” part has already been going on. Like Monica and Chandler started dating BY moving into a sexual relationship.
  20. Yeah, realistically, I also don’t feel like the Star Trek/Orville no money utopia would ever happen, but it’s interesting to contemplate in the context of the shows. And we can speculate about menial tasks that might no longer exist (like janitor) but what about the one we’ve seen? Bartender. The Orville has a bartender, which a lot of people would consider a low rung career, but it’s possible that someone would pursue it because of the social aspect: meeting lots of different people and cultures.
  21. Two things: Monica and Phoebe bragging about how they got the widow to pay the funeral catering bill. I wouldn’t brag about that. Because yeah, you got the widow to pay the bill but in a way that guaranteed you wouldn’t be getting any future business from the people that were there, even if they liked the food. And secondly: I think a clock pen is a perfectly acceptable gift for Joey to give Kathy as a birthday present when they had only been going out two weeks.
  22. Alara is electing to not do the gravity treatments, which means she can’t stay away from her home planet for too long.
  23. There’s the part Kelly said about their society valuing reputation, so it seems the majority do what they do so people think they’re awesome and not a worthless slug. But I’m sure there are the select few worthless slugs who don’t give a rats ass about their reputation and live in the simulator. We’ve already seen addiction to it being a thing.
  24. She’s lucky that her only problem is a bunch of moldy sandwiches. With that much food left lying around, I’m surprised there isn’t a roach or rodent infestation. Or ants. This is why you need to teach kids to clean, it’s a potential health hazard.
