I am only 1/3 of the way through episode five and JP just killed the cat. I am now 1000% sure he killed his sister's cat!! and maybe also his sister!

By the end the contrast between Rachel's sad face ("I'm always fighting back tears, Jesse") and Gaby's smiling one made me think that Gabby got the ring and Rachel got nothing. And while I can't stand Rachel and think she just wanted to "win" the ring, I hate that the show has come down to this and was always going to come down to this.

For someone who is athletic, she seems so uncomfortable and joyless in her own body. Agree with everyone else who said that she was way too hard on Binh. Alexis has reached new heights of passive-aggression, smugness, and narcissism on this episode. Her behavior at the dinner was appalling--you're so wonderful because you choose (unlike your "passionate" husband whom you treat like a child) to "regulate yourself" and say nothing. But as was discussed at the After Party, you communicate volumes about your contempt with your facial expressions. Then when your husband pushes you to speak, you make yourself the victim and start crying about how you're HURT and it STILL HURTS. A bravura performance!! Her smug apology for shit stirring at the After Party was so self-congratulatory and made me stabby. Justin is no prize but she is torturing him at this point. I may be alone in this but I think Mitch has made some progress. His reaction to Kirsten's complaint at dinner was surprisingly mature. At the after party he was showing some real self-awareness and seemed genuinely regretful. He was also impressed by Kirsten standing up for herself. I have hopes for these two. I also think Mitch has a great sense of humor and a quick wit, when he is not on his soapbox, and I find that very appealing.

I love Rachel's curves and think they're both hot in different ways. Sometimes I want to feed Gabby some pasta and tell her to calm down. But the rest of your post--couldn't agree more.

Given that Rachel has very little to say in general and almost nothing to say to Aven in particular (seriously their whole conversation was nothing but empty cliche), there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that she will get physical with all three guys. No judgment here at all--that's the show--but I agree that there is real cognitive dissonance going on here. I wonder what's going to happen with Zach--looks like he will get hurt.

Did JP's mother have dementia? the blithe way she was talking about him drowning frogs made me wonder. He could have killed the sister without the mother knowing perhaps? Just a thought!

I know many of us don't like Lindy and it started early on with people hating on her just because she talked a lot. I can see why for many of us, she has gone too far. I personally still like her. And she is definitely not Michaela! Not even close!

Alexis has a very annoying habit in group settings of smugly commenting on what others say in a very low tone only Justin can hear. During the honeymoon she did it with him so they could both feel superior to all the other couples since they were so HAPPY and the others didn't know marriage the way they did--LOL. Now that they're having troubles, she does it to show him she knows better than the therapist and to undermine him while he speaks. I hate it and I think the editors give us subtitles when she does it so we can see how smug and superior and "insightful" she is.

As with so many other things involving women and their lives, as long as it is a choice and not an imposition/requirement, I can see either side. If you've been publishing for years and then get married, changing your name can make things confusing.

I agree that Lindy was acting entitled and overly demanding by insisting Miguel put her on his insurance--but let's not forget that she was reacting to his insistence that she give up her name, and I don't think that was fair of him (I get where Kirsten was coming from but taking a name or not is a matter of choice, the insurance thing is a different kind of issue). I found his calm response to her being upset unsettling rather than impressive. He kept saying, both during the fight and when they made up after, "I don't like this version of you." Dude--screw you! that is so patronizing and withholding. If my husband said that to me when we fought, I would get even more enraged!! Is it her job only to please him? She was right to say that they each had sides the other wouldn't like. He is far from perfect and he can be a real cold fish.

I get that in some ways she was being kind--why get his hopes up? but if you factor in her earlier cancelling of a group date because of that ass Logan, my verdict is that she is immature and self-involved.

it amazes me how 50% of her relationship with Zach, minimal as it has been, involves reminiscing and watching themselves on video.

I'm all for body positivity and if she wants to wear clothes that cling and look sexy (even if it means your boobs will hit your chin when you're horseback riding with no bra), then good for her, truly--I admire that. But displaying images of your body on your living room wall is next level and not in a good way IMO. Didn't Myrla also have a wall of photos of herself, although G rather than X rated? If my kid did a portrait of me in whatever medium I would proudly display it, out of pride in him!

I wonder if the vagina sculpture was also done of her own anatomy (??). Her narcissism is off the charts! did you know she was proposed to three times??? (lol)

I would also add that this show's idea of "high fashion" for Rachel is so 80s! To me she looks like an Alexis Carrington wannabe with those big sleeves, or maybe more of a Krystal.
