  1. I too noticed that and think you are reading that reference exactly right. I was also thrilled by the reference to my namesake in the scene they were watching.
  2. I agree! I also remember that at some point in this endless season, Steve said he contributed his share to household expenses. So why was Noi going on about being the sole breadwinner?? they clearly gave her a script or she made one up.
  3. there was a very strange moment at the end of that sad scene where Lindsey was smiling at the camera! she was so pleased with herself for "helping" Mark. It was so fake. I see others noted this--sorry for the repetition! I also think Mark's memory of his mother haranguing his depressed-sounding father from the window as he sat watching and waving at the cars go by, and saying nobody wants to talk to him was creepy and sad. And yet he would move back home in a heartbeat! this is someone who is seriously stuck. And who may well have married his mother.
  4. If you watch Love is Blind, you will see ubiquitous gold wine glasses for exactly this reason! the editing in this episode was wonky to say the least.
  5. I found it interesting when Noi told Siracha that she does MOST of the chores/housework. Based on what we have seen, that doesn't seem to be true. And Steve is certainly convinced he does more. We seem to be at an impasse here. yes that was what I meant--it was baffling.
  6. I haven't read what's come before but did anyone else notice that Lindsey's skirt at the photoshoot with the cats is soaking wet?? I mean the tacky royal blue long dress she was wearing. What is going on??
  7. I was extremely irritated by how repeatedly Lindsey made it clear that she would say no on Decision Day unless Mark was "consistent," as in kissing her ass from this way to Sunday until this experiment ended. In her mind she is perfect, has given him everything, and now he has to prove himself. Marriage takes two. What did SHE do for HIM on their monthaversary? I had the same question about Jasmina and Michael. Shouldn't she have shown HIM some love??
  8. He is a metrosexual and I am here for it! 😄
  9. I have always had a soft spot for him despite his many flaws, not least because he has an actual brain and is thoughtful and articulate. I like that in a guy.
  10. those last two sentences would make a great Hall and Oates lyric!
  11. It's interesting. Mark talked about how the first time they had sex, it was romantic--they were lying next to each other, felt the vibe, etc. Lyndsey says she wants to be wooed but when they did their sex exercise she was so manic and was laughing crazily the whole time. Maybe it was the gags that made them laugh at how silly each looked, but I got the feeling her frenetic laughing was uncomfortable and meant to deflect any real connection.
  12. I am increasingly convinced that Jasmina is a rigid narcissist. She seems to be learning nothing from their conversations and always thinks she is right. I couldn't make head or tail of that scene of hers in the hall when they were talking about journaling. He was just suggesting it, not demanding it. And that comment about her vagina really took Dr. Viv aback, not just because it was crude but because it was so hostile. I think if she watches this back she may feel ashamed at how cruel and condescending she comes off. Pot, you are the kettle. The yoga lesson seemed to help, we will see.
  13. Thanks! I should have realized that was a rhetorical question!! not enough caffeine.
  14. Cassidy seemed a lot more mature here than she did on the show and I really liked the way she owned up to what she'd done and made the others look like prudes when she explained herself. I also liked when she immediately agreed with the woman who said the worst thing she did was create Frankenstein's monster (Frankenstein is the creator, not the monster!) Shanae. Sierra on the other hand seems to have delusions of grandeur and appointed herself head girl boss. She wouldn't stop with the accusations to the point where Clayton couldn't get an admittedly dumb and empty sentence of self-explanation out without her interrupting.
  15. I think he is better looking now. And clearly less of a doofus.
  16. Bob looked like a pig, but he had a lot of joie de vivre. That can go a long way in making someone appealing. Flapjack was a pissy sourpuss IMO. I agree that Clayton could look pretty decent if he did an episode of Queer Eye.
  17. Serene is gorgeous but her head is very big for her body. From some angles she looks like a bobble head.
  18. Gabby can't wear a sweater or a coat or a jacket without it half falling off her shoulders which I guess she thinks looks sexy. It drives me crazy. Rachel's cheap white tank over a black bra was not a good look. And her jorts were stumpifying. But it was really all about the bikini. Agreed re Serene being a repeat of Michelle in the producer's eyes. But she was still auditioning.
  19. I never felt any chemistry between Clayton and Serene. I think this has been one long audition for her. She would make a fine Bachelorette, especially if Roland comes back to advise her periodically and refresh our eyes. I also thought that Clayton was a big wuss on all of the dates that involved physical activity, especially Serene's. I was LOLLing when he nearly wet his pants walking across that rope walk, and it took him forever and he was so dramatic, and then Serene just strolled across it like it was nothing. I almost think he didn't give her a rose to get back at her for humiliating him! ETA: Final Rose, I didn't see your post, and we are in agreement!
  20. I loved Sarah's retort when he called her out: "I HAVE NO TEARS LEFT!" LOLLLLLLLLL
  21. That was the most passive aggressive "I love you" I have ever heard! This reminds me that it was pretty awful that they didn't tell the ladies why Freud left Vienna and lived the rest of his life in London!
  22. I thought the editors were brilliant when they cut between Alyssa telling her mom that Chris wanted to defund the police (and yes she has no idea what that actually means), and Chris chatting with his best friend about his ordeal, and stating clearly that his best friend IS A COP.
  23. she can't cry a river because it would ruin her eye makeup! instead she will gingerly dab her tiny tears away for all eternity.
  24. Mara clearly doesn't see Clayton clearly at all--he is a first class HIMBO and we all know it. And she also never watched this show before because we all know that marriage is very often the last thing on the Bachelor's mind. What stuck out most to me is when she recited her weird little poem as her "knight's creed" or whatever and said she could COOK AND CLEAN! Are we in the 1950s????
  25. I don't get it (??) I think Chris is performing his long-sufferingness a bit so maybe it is deliberate?
