Wasn't it Hank that nuked Shady Sands not Coop. Or do I need to watch again (oh no the hardship!)

Re: the use of ships guns in sieges. See the relief of the Siege of Ladysmith where the Royal Navy transported ships guns over difficult terrain commemorated in the field gun competition

The Nevarro News: The Mandalorian in the Media
Megras replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
In in world terms I think its easy to write him out - he lost the election off screen and has retired to his estate. The real world side though...that'll be tough. -
Isn't there a difference between advising and "taking over the case" though?

As a Brit I don't understand the role the FBI would play here. I was under the impression that the FBI only got involved when a state line had been crossed or if the crime was on federal property. Why would they come in and take over what seems to be a local murder case? Just because the victims were foreign?

S02.E09: What If...Strange Supreme Intervened?
Megras replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in What If...?
With regards to Strange's backsliding are we discounting the influence of the Darkhold on him. I get the impression that he had absorbed it, or its power so it must be having a greater effect than it would have had on the main MCU Strange or Wanda. -

S02.E06: What if… Kahhori Reshaped the World?
Megras replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in What If...?
Was this an original character for What If?. This setting was complete unknown to me. -
I thought it had been shown to be a weapons sale. But I only half watch this so may have missed things and made an assumption.

S02.E02: What If… Peter Quill Attacked Earth’s Mightiest Heroes?
Megras replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in What If...?
I guess they needed a Soviet hero to show the world cooperating aspect and the Winter Soldier is the best known. -
S31.E07: Diddy, Ashley Jensen, George MacKay, Chris Ramsey
Megras replied to dubbel zout's topic in The Graham Norton Show
It's still available on iPlayer so its not a BBC pull. -
When Plots Collide: Gen V / The Boys Plot Crossover Speculation Only
Megras replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Gen V
Was the first guy that Cate broke out infected with the virus? He looked unwell. Had they managed to make it airborne and has Cate's breakout doomed the Supes? Alternatively will Butcher find the research in the Woods and try to make use of it? The only other thread I can think of would be the fact that Marie knows the senator has blood powers now and that may have repercussions as she seemed to be keeping it quiet. -
Does that make her a cuckoo clock. I'll get my coat....

It has been an age since I read the books and I may be misremembering but I thought Min wasn't all that interested in Rand but had a vision of them together (possibly with the other interests too) and sort just gave in to the vision as they always come true.

Given how the Aes Sedai can get around the “tell no lies” by rules layering. I have no doubt they can do the same for “not a weapon”.

My take away was that every time she vomited she shrank some but not down to the tiny height. She needed 3 or 4 bouts to get tiny for the bedroom. I assume that she could keep making herself throw up to keep shrinking but if she only wanted to be say half height she could do it once and stop.

But it wasn't her show. It was Cliff's first big show, and how would it look if Mummy-dearest stepped in to save the day somewhat publicly. He'd never produce again.

Also with film ratings any blood may not actually be shown to keep the rating down.

That description of Crowley has always stuck with me too. It gives such a clear insight into his character.

S03.E06: Chapter Twenty Two - Guns for Hire
Megras replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I always figured the Jedi taking younglings was to "prevent them falling to the dark side" and once trained they did not have to stay in the Order. At least that would be how they justified it internally. Given what an ill-disciplined Force user can do it makes a certain sort of sense. -
Cheap labour.

That is a release format that the BBC uses fairly often, on some of its Drama shows. Given this is s joint production maybe its to stop HBO viewers getting too far behind the BBC release for spoilers rather than an indication of interest in the show.

A Kuati signet would be from Kuat - a planet know for its shipyards in the Star Wars Universe. Now whether Kuat got is named for Kuato is anpther matter 🙂

If we aren't careful, we'll leave the Union and end up in Ian M. Banks Culture :D where people end up spying for fun.
