The Wishlist: What We'd Like To See & What We Expect
junemeatcleaver replied to vb68's topic in Saturday Night Live
It's amusing that Michael Che is looking like he'll be the most successful guy to come from the failed reboot of Best Week Ever. I recall him not being very liked by some when he was on that show. Anyway. I like Michael Che and look forward to seeing him on WU. -
Good Morning America - General Discussion

Tim Tebow to join GMA I didn't know anyone still cared about him. -
I actually thought the show did a better job this season casting people who played, or were interested in, trivia, a lot of them just didn't translate well on television. Much better than last season when they seemed to cast people who had impressive educational and professional backgrounds. I much rather watch bad and flustered players who actually like trivia versus a bunch of smart people who couldn't care less about having random knowledge about stuff. They saved the best episode for the finale last season, too. I have high hopes for the finale when (if?) the show comes back in November.

I think I saw the girl who played teenaged Miranda in a McDonald's commercial fake eating one of McD's nasty chicken wraps. I'm not really sure because it went by so fast and half her face was obscured by the wrap, but it did look like her eyes. Oh, it was her. The commecial has been airing for awhile, though I think the one I just saw was a little different than the one I found online.

The Brittany Murphy Story (Lifetime)
junemeatcleaver replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Specials, TV Movies & Other One-Offs
The disclaimer said there were no *illegal* drugs in her system. The movie was horrible. I don't know why Lifetime keeps on buying these boring, cheapo productions. -
From reading this article, I suspect A&E brought Dave back in exchange for Dave withdrawing his lawsuit. It looked like he may have had a case on the wrongful termination part of his lawsuit.

Lord her wigs this season are ridiculous. I love a good wig, but man, Candice.

Elizabeth Vargas is back in rehab. I wish her the best. I also wish she still filled in on GMA, I like her better than either Amy or Lara, but that's another story. -
Sorry, I can't take a blog called Unknown Misandry seriously.

Why Do You Need a Shiv? And Other Burning Shameless Questions
junemeatcleaver replied to TyranAmiros's topic in Shameless
That's a good question about free breakfast/lunch. I know those chaotic Gallagher mornings are fun, but free or reduced school lunch is a big part of being a poor kid. -
I would like to see the case of Diane Staudte covered. Ms. Stuadte, with help from her daughter, allegedly murdered her husband and son, and failed to murder another daughter, via antifreeze poisoning. All because she, allegedly, couldn't stand her husband, found her son annoying and thought her one daughter was a loser. Unfortunately, Ms. Staudte's trial isn't set to begin until sometime next year or the year after, so it will probably be awhile before the Staudte case makes it to tv. ETA: The exact reasons for the murders was because she hated her husband, found her son to be "worse than a pest" and her failed attempt on her daughter was because she wouldn't get a job and had outstanding student loans. Allegedly.

I didn't care that they devoted an entire episode to the Lizzy Borden case, and I seem to recall them doing a segment on LB before. That episode must have been made to coincide with that Lizzy Borden special ID aired around the time Lifetime aired their boring Lizzy Borden movie.

The FJ couldn't have been that easy since only one of them responded correctly. -
Whoopi Goldberg: EGOT Winner, So Why Is She Here?
junemeatcleaver replied to Lisin's topic in The View
Yes, spitting is assault, but that doesn't warrant having the ever loving crap knocked out you. Whoopi is an idiot. I will not miss her if next season is her last. -
The people who confronted them at the gas station in Nashville had to be in on the gag, it just went too smoothly. I don't really care either way, it was hilarious.

The girl who played Miranda on the online reboot is "starring" in a Ross commercial that's been in heavy rotation for the past week or so. They're trying to get college students to shop at Ross for clothes and dorm room stuff.

Good Morning America - General Discussion

Michael's speech impediment is really distracting in the voice overs during those pre-taped packages and segments he does. I don't mind his talking live or when he's speaking with the other hosts, but his voice overs drive me crazy. -
Jimmy Kimmel Live - General Discussion
junemeatcleaver replied to David T. Cole's topic in Jimmy Kimmel Live
I was kind of impressed with his apology, but at the same time I suspect he was acting. The pauses and voice quivering seemed to be a deliberate acting choices on his part IMO. But he would have never had to apologize if he had found a way to get his point across without the slurs, Mel Gibson apologism and anti-Semitism. I would have still thought GO was an idiot, but I wouldn't have been that offended. -
Jimmy Kimmel Live - General Discussion

Gary Oldman, of movie and "standing up to political correctness" fame, is going to be on tonight. They have to talk about Gary dropping racist, sexist and homophobic slurs and throwing out old anti-Semetic tropes in an interview, right? It would be a huge thing to ignore unless tonight's appearance was pre-taped. -

ABC News keeps George happy, David Muir from jumping ship and fills a hole left by Barbara Walters. Very shrewd move on their part. -
That's what is nice about the show, a lot of these actors posing as real people shows can get too mean. I wonder if there was a deleted scene (or upcoming scene in a future episode) of Poppy getting a spray tan. Getting a fake tan would seem to be an obvious gag that might have been left out of the finished show for whatever reason.

PLANE! The show is funny even if it is probably obvious to some of the people participating that Georgie and Poppy are actors.
