  1. While I have issues with the storylines to a point, the timing is the main issue I have with this season, and really since they started splitting everyone up in 4b. I'm over these split eps that cover ONE DAY. I will be surprised if they Lucille Glenn. We are all expecting it. Or maybe they are using reverse psychology and will do it just because we don't think they would. Or whatever. You know. I'd rather lose Morgan. I'd never have said that until now though.
  2. I just finally forced myself to watch the show that I used to enjoy but now dread. If Scott Gimple thinks that the way the story played out puts us in Maggie's shoes, he's wrong. Maggie did not have to see Nicholas shoot himself and watch Glenn fall. Maggie did not see Steven's name taken out of the opening credits. Maggie did not have to sit through three boring episodes wondering why the show was screwing her over. I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in The Walking Dead, and I'm frustrated that Chris's show now solely exists to convince me every decision the show makes is a good one. Scott Gimple needs to shave his beard because it apparently is making him make really bad choices. And Chris said he thought Glenn was really dead? The Nerdist thought that? Has he never seen the internet?
  3. I guess Abe could get Lucilled since he was dead at that point in the comics. I still think it will be Morgan though. I don't think Lennie James wants to be a main character on this show. I do think the audience at large can "handle" a man in that situation better than a woman, plus Maggie has a big part in upcoming source material. Unless Carol takes her place... ETA: I wish CDB could catch a break, even for an episode or two. I feel like they had a bit of respite on the farm, and then they had the (unseen) months at the prison. Rick hardly heals from one beating before he has another. The comics have more time to let things happen, and the show needs to incorporate that somehow, IMO. It's also irritating to me that this whole half season has taken place over, what, a week or two? And of that, we've seen a couple days on-camera? Another edit: I struggled with the comics here in this section. I felt like we were going from "my group" to this whole other environment with new people and new situations that were really unfamiliar. And unwelcome. At least that's translating onscreen since I'm struggling with this season. :-\
  4. I wonder if he'll have head/eye damage but not lose it. I kind of hate that he lost it in the comics, and I don't think it adds anything.
  5. While I disagree with Morgan's "all life is precious" deal he has going right now, his "Okay" to Rick when Rick said they needed to talk later was heartbreaking. The inflections Lennie James uses make me feel for him. I wish he'd been able to kill his zombie wife in episode 1 and Duane had survived. I can't stand Tara. I know Rick isn't always right, but I haven't like her from the beginning, so her giving him the finger just annoyed me. I don't think I like the actress, and I am certain I don't like the character. I kind of feel like I wonder what gave her the right to have such attitude? She "helped" Glenn find Maggie? She was loyal to him after he saved her? I just don't feel the character has done anything to "earn" the way she behaves. She encourages Eugene to try, and I guess that's something. I don't feel I saw her grow into someone who "just does" after being the scared girl in the apartment that didn't know zombies needed headshots to die. Yay, Glenn. I guess. I guess they showed his fate first thing so they could put his name back in the credits. That is the cheapest thing the show has ever done, IMO. Maggie, just use your original accent. Suddenly becoming british is better than that southern mush-mouth you've developed. I don't know anyone here that sounds like you. Almost forgot FPP. I like that he's trying, and trying in a way he knows how. He certainly isn't perfect, but people aren't, and that town could use a prayer circle. Looks like they will certainly need one after next week if they survive. A bit of hope could be a good thing. I liked that element when Hershel brought it. FPP is no Hershel, but having faith and hope isn't the worst thing ever. (You hear me, writers?)
  6. And with the herd coming in, I think we could almost do a page to screen of what next week might look like.
  7. That Lucille gif will probably be similar to the trough scene of season 5. The suspects listed above will be lined up while Negan does his eeny meenie miney moe routine then he swings and we go to mid season break. I'm super sad that I don't care more.
  8. I never thought I'd say this, but, unless Daryl gets a haircut (which we know he doesn't as we've not seen that IRL), I'll probably be okay if he gets Lucilled. Reading the comics, at the Negan part, the communities were building a life, each in their own way, while dealing with the Saviors. I hope they have that, and it's not all baddies all the time.
  9. On the good side, Negan was involved in trading (whether the groups wanted to or not!), but that is an interesting aspect of rebuilding civilization and could further that on the show. It's time!
  10. Chris referred to people walking around the Georgia countryside. Way to remember they are in Virginia now. This show has just about lost me. They have to remind people that Michael Rooker doesn't have any inside info? He hasn't been on the show in three years. Are we all idiots? That's how I feel watching the show. ETA: I see he corrected himself. Whatever, show.
  11. I watched Friday Night Lights on Netflix twice through. I just checked and still see it there…
  12. [quote name="morgankobi" post="1696775" timestamp="1447209431 The rumblings of what happened at the end of Dexter has kept me away from that one so far. ! I had heard grumblings too, before we watched. Knowing that it wouldn't end wrapped up with a little bow, I was prepared. I didn't mind it so much, and the rest of the series made it worth it. Sorry about the formatting. On my phone, and it is a pain to fix things.
  13. Breaking Bad. Gotham is decent. Season 2 has been better for me than 1. Fringe, Dexter? Firefly. The Middle is my fave current sitcom.

    S06.E05: Now

To be fair, Rick thought about turning her over, but decided against it. Merle took her because he knew Rick wouldn't. Later she tells Rick she knows he had to consider the Governor's offer. Rick says, "I'm sorry; I came real close." Then she thanks him for taking her in that day at the fence.
  15. Tobin is in the preview gathering up dead Alexandrians I think.
  16. Whoa. Imagining Michonne doing it is awesome and adds a whole new level of complexity. I hope it doesn't destroy her.
  17. That's all based on the comic though. Is that also show-spoiler-proven?
  18. It's 80 here today, but the heat index is 87. Welcome to November. (I'm about 2.5 hours south of where they film.) Back on topic, I think I didn't like this Morgan episode as much as Clear because it was him alone. Not with our other people. If he'd even been shown mumbling about Rick or the walkie talkie or something, it would've connected better for me.
  19. They did show Morgan in his Clear apartment again at the first part of "THEN." There was a lamp, and then it was on its side, burning. I assume the whole place went up. This episode was no "Clear." Meh.
  20. Did we have the link for the reddit photo recap for this episode? I'm terrible at finding those things myself.
