  1. It is pretty clean! http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140117002008/walkingdead/images/8/8f/Ana-walking-dead-severed-leg-indifference_zps3ac23757.jpg
  2. Judging by how quickly she got annoying, I don't know if they ever saw that future for tvAndrea. I can't think of a reason why they didn't go that route, though.
  3. I agree with a lot of this re: Andrea. While I thought Shane was out of control, his death was hard. I HATED Lori, but I cried during her death scene. That one scene just about redeemed her whole character for me. The only person I felt sad for during Andrea's death scene was Michonne, and even then I just kind of felt sorry that Michonne got stuck with Andrea all winter instead of someone better (heck, Patricia would've been better). I was relieved that we no longer had to deal with her inflated ego and uselessness. (How I long for ComicAndrea.)
  4. I agree they definitely could've had a better exit plan (though I imagine everyone was so worried there wasn't much clear thinking happening), but in the show's timeline, they hadn't really had a "strategy" for dealing with walkers, right? There had yet to be a situation where they did anything other than simply defend in event of an attack. By episode 1 of season 3, I think they'd developed a sense of working together and knowing how to deal with the walkers a bit more pro-actively. Planning, rather than just waiting for walkers to mosey up and then kill them. ETA: I guess Rick had the plan to get them out of the building in Atlanta, but I guess I view that differently for some reason.
  5. I just saw a nerdist article about that show, and the lead-in was "from the creators of Sharknado..." I didn't realize. No wonder it was silly looking!
  6. Oh, ugh. I'm biased, but that looks awful. That trailer gave me a completely different feel from TWD so I wouldn't even compare them other than, "zombies!"
  7. Perfect timing, kikismom. I'm headed out to sightsee again next Friday and Saturday and that map will simplify my planning. ;)
  8. I marathoned before season four and I just finished Beside the Dying Fire today. I love it! I've been known to marathon all the way at the mid season break, and I like to watch while walking on the treadmill. Ha. There really aren't that many eps in the first two seasons. :p I always get such a sense of how much they've all changed when I binge watch like that. And yes, the diaries will be fun!
  9. I find this interesting, as the more I watch the episodes, the more I think Lori did everything she could think of to keep Shane on a string. I think she waffled on her opinion as to whether Rick could cut it in "this world" and if Shane came out more capable, I think she'd quickly have thrown herself back to him. Now, I don't think she said to herself, "I'm going to say this to Shane and this to Rick so I have some options" but I don't think she ever showed self awareness or care in that strange situation they ended up in when Rick came back. To me, she only thought of herself.
  10. I have read the comics and didn't like Lori there either, but I didn't haaaaate her like I did on the show. I watched the show first, so I think SWC's portrayal kind of ruined me for the character. Rewatching the episodes with her, the way she says her lines bugs me. Almost everything she says makes me mad, even if it's a nothing thing. In S02e01, when they are at the "graveyard" of cars, she tells Carl to stay "always in my sight" and does the two finger point from her eyes to his. I want to punch her. Anyway, this thread isn't about SWC. I really enjoy comic book Andrea, and other than Michonne's aforementioned sexual escapades, I like her as well (that part of her character just does nothing to add to her for me). I'm pretty happy with the current set of female leads on the show, Michonne being my favorite by far. I'm very glad Andrea is gone.
  11. Yes. Time to handle major stuff and thangs.
  12. NurseGiGi, I'm also a huge fan of The Stand (even the awful miniseries) and I'm anxiously awaiting book three of The Passage trilogy - hopefully in a few months!
  13. Haha. I've seen that one before. I didn't understand his pants either. I think maybe he considered that his "authoritative" look.
  14. Has anyone found the video they mentioned, where Andrew Lincoln is prepping for a scene? It was cut out in the comic con thing I saw.
  15. Oh, man. That would've been perfect. Back to Carol: for me, rewatching her in the first couple seasons is downright painful. I don't think I have an issue with MB's acting, but from the ironing board, to "you left my little girl out there!" to the "man of honor" thing, I really grew to dislike her. I did feel for her in moments, like when she says that Ed never let her have nice things as she is admiring a shirt. I also appreciate that she had the grenade, but as her character was written, I don't see her having saved it and kept quiet about it actually. I enjoyed and appreciated her the most in season 3 ("sleep with the Governor and stab him!"), but in season 4, she's back to kind of eh for me again. I don't think she's a useless whiner, but she has swung too far in the other direction. "Let's kill Karen and David...just in case!" Re: stuff and thangs. I love them so much. Even though I am kind of over the whole "keep calm and whatever" trend, I have a shirt that pictures a sheriff's hat and says "keep calm and do stuff, things." I only lament the fact it doesn't say THANGS.
  16. I've only watched it once, but I did see Beth. It surprised me to see Rick and Co working "with" the Termites, in any capacity. I know the trailer isn't going to spell everything out, and I also would've been surprised if they'd blown up Terminus and immediately headed out alone somewhere else. It looks amazing to me, though. I love Rick's line about that being his family. And to see him with Judith! So many good moments coming up. As an aside, I saw the the street closure notification (a letter from the studio on a locations website, and in an area with which I'm familiar) for "dropping a truck off an overpass," so to see that was super cool.
  17. I don't understand the lack of nominations. The article I read said the voters just weren't ready for this type of show. How could they ignore those "Something Human" billboards?
  18. . My two kiddos are staying with mr. mandolin as he has no interest in the tour (whaaat?). I will be sad if the show leaves the area and I don't recognize stuff anymore!
  19. Yeah, we are excited! You just never know when you cross over into *that* level of fandom. Ha.
  20. I have to share this somewhere,. And hopefully you all won't make fun of me here in this forum...I'm taking my mom on a Walking Dead tour this summer for her birthday. We live in Georgia, and we are doing Woodbury as well as the town where Rick found Morgan in Clear. I went to Woodbury, Rick's house, and the quarry last year, so I'll get to see some new stuff this time. Yay.
  21. I thought about that as I typed my comment earlier. Bwahaha.
  22. Anyone still keeping up with the comics? The time jump intrigues me, but I saw a synopsis for issue 129 today and I am not loving Rick's actions. I also hope that Magna recognizes Negan, maybe as someone who she had to deal with in the past and kills him versus releasing him as many people are speculating. I've seen many people complain about Carl's new look, and it pains me to admit it, but I'm not loving it.
  23. The spoiler thread and its new replies have been haunting me, so thanks for this one! I also think it would be good for Beth to already be at Terminus. The car that took her had a cross on it, right? So that could kind of play into the candle room at Terminus. I wouldn't want Beth to try to eat Rick and the crew (haha), but to see her having adapted to their environment so quickly would be an interesting turn for he character. Maybe they'd want to eat Rick, et al and she'd have reservations about it.
  24. I love that he always wears a tie; I think he does even on set. I thought the preview was kind of weak, but other than showing the rest of the group plotting in the train car, I guess they couldn't show much else.
  25. Oh my gosh, YES. kikismom, awesome. I loved those books as a kid and have gotten my daughter to read some too. I'd read them again with this twist.
